Kagome woke up and stared at her stomach. It seemed to have grown twice the size it was yesterday. She frowned and turned to face Sesshoumaru and saw that he was already awake. "Sesshoumaru is it normal for youkai's to progress so quickly with their pregnancies?" She took his hand and put it on her stomach. She could feel the pup moving around. Speaking of pups. "By the way Sango told me yesterday that Inu-youkai's often have two or three pups at once. Why didn't you tell me this?"

Sesshoumaru knew the pups would grow quickly but he didn't expect them to grow that quickly. He sat up and frowned down at her stomach. She was showing already. He placed his hand on her stomach and felt the pups kick his hand. They were already very lively. "We must discuss this with Kaede. Maybe she could shed some light on what is going on." He stood up and helped to stand. Then he picked her up and flew her to the hut. When they reached the hut they found Kaede inside stirring a pot. "Lady Kaede we have a question that you might help us with."

Kaede looked from the Lord to Kagome and was shocked to see her stomach. It had doubled in size over night. She looked back to Sesshoumaru "Is this normal my Lord."

"I would not know what you consider normal but I do not recall any other youkai pups to grow so quickly."

Kaede led Kagome and Sesshoumaru to her back room where she examined Kagome. "There heart beats are fine. But at this rate she is likely to give birth by the end of the month. If not sooner." She went to a shelf and removed an aged scroll from it. "According to this no known youkai miko's have given birth. At least they are not written about. I believe that her miko powers combined with her youkai powers have accelerated her pregnancy. Add to the fact that she is the Shikon no Tama's protector and carries the shards with her might have also helped."

Kagome looked at Sesshoumaru and smiled. "I guess they will get here sooner than we thought."

"It would seem so." Sesshoumaru helped Kagome to get up again and walked with her back to the other room to join the others for breakfast. He walked out of the hut and into the forest. Kagome needed fresh meat for the growing pups. Before long he returned to the hut with a bowl of the meat. A villager had cut it up for him and then he gave her the rest of the deer he had caught. He carried the bowl back to the hut and laid it down infant of Kagome. He saw her wince as he set the bowl down infant of her and smiled at her.

Kagome was hoping that she could fore go the meat this morning but she was wrong. She picked up her chopsticks and ate the meat. Hey it's not too bad this morning. She finished the bowl off in no time. Then took the bowl of fruit he held to her. She ate all that too. She was still hungry. She took the bowl that Kaede handed her and finished that off also. "I'm still hungry."

"Well would you like to join me and we could go hunting together?" He didn't expect her to agree. He helped her up and they went into the woods. They changed into their inu- youkai forms and took off for the hunt. It didn't take long to catch a deer. He was shocked when Kagome brought the deer down and killed it cleanly. He watched her lap up the blood from her kill like she was dying of thirst. Then she started ripping into he meat like she hadn't ate in a week. She ate the whole deer by herself. Granted it was a small one but how could she do that after she ate all that food in the hut. He turned and walked to a stream that was nearby. He knew she would like to wash up. He expected her to change back into her humanoid form but she stayed in her youkai form and jumped into the stream. He watched her roll around in the water and lick her fur and used her paws until all the blood was removed. Then she stepped out of the water and shook herself dry then laid on the bank and fell asleep. Sesshoumaru shook off the water that had gotten on him when Kagome shook it off her. Then he laid down beside her to protect her.

Sango looked over at Kaede when Kagome and Sesshoumaru left. "Was it me or has she grown a lot over night.?"

"Ye eyes do not deceive you Sango. Her stomach grew twice the size over night. At this rate she will have her pups in less than a month. I think it is due to the shards that she carries along with her being a miko demoness. The three combinations are a powerful force." Kaede handed Sango a bowl of fruit and a cup of milk. "According to Kagome you need plenty of milk now. So drink up. A villager has volunteered to bring me a fresh bucket everyday just for you. So you have to drink it all."

Sango looked at the milk. Then she remembered what Kagome had to eat. She definitely got the better end of the deal. She would rather drink milk than eat raw meat. She shuddered at the thought of that. She raised the milk to her mouth and drank it down. Much better than raw meat. Then Kaede handed her a glass of dirty water. "What is this?"

"Kagome said you needed more iron so we put some small pieces of iron in a bucket and let them rust over night. Now you get to drink it." Kaede saw her frown and smiled at her kindly. "It was either this or you have to eat liver. Now which one would you rather do?"

"Some choice. One is just as bad as the other." She took the cup and drank it down before she realised what she was doing. Wait till I get ahold of Kagome.

Kagura had watched Kagome and the slayer all morning. So they were going to have babies. She wished she could have one also. But after everything Naraku had made her do no one would want her for a mate. She sighed and rolled away from the site of the pregnant Sango.

Inuyasha could smell tears and looked up from where he was pretending to be asleep so he wouldn't have to watch his brother and Kagome together. He knelt down in front of Kagura when he realized that the tears were coming from her. "What's wrong with you? Are you in pain?"

Kagura looked up at Inuyasha "No in fact I am quite healed." She sat up and faced Inuyasha.

Inuyasha stood up and went to walk out the door. He got about two feet before he fell on his face. He sat up and frowned. What happened? He stood back up and started for the door. Once again he fell to the ground but this time he heard Kagura cry out. He sat up and saw her laying on the floor with her foot stretched out toward him.

Kagura smiled when she saw the hanyou fall to the floor but when it happened again he pulled her off her mat. "Turn loose of me."

Inuyasha growled at the wind sorceress. "I don't have a hold of you." He got back up and tried to leave again. He caught himself as he started to fall to the floor and he heard Kagura yell at him again to stop. He turned to look at Kaede. "What have you done now old women?"

Kaede shook her head "I have did nothing to ye Inuyasha."

When ever he tried to get away from Kagura he would fall down. It didn't matter which direction he went. Nothing seemed to work. "Kagura what have you done?"

"Inuyasha I haven't done anything either. I wish you would stop. You are hurting my leg." She bent over and ran her hands around her sore ankle. She felt something on it. She traced it around her leg and to Inuyasha's "There is some sort of string attaching us. You can't see it how ever."

Inuyasha bent down and felt around his ankle. He felt the string but couldn't see it. "Can you manage to walk outside with me. We should be free in a few minutes." He helped Kagura stand then walked close to her out of the hut. When they were clear of the hut he drew Tetsusaiga and swung at the thread. His sword stopped like it had struck metal and sparks flew in every direction. Did it work?

Kagura knelt down and picked up the invisible thread it was still attached. "It didn't work. Any more bright ideas?"

"We could wait till Sesshoumaru comes back then have him try Toukijin." Now he would have to stay tied to the wind witch.

"I say we go find them." She reached up and pulled a feather out of her hair and waited for Inuyasha to join her on it. When he did so among much grumbling and complaining she raised her hand and the feather took off to the skies. They flew over Inuyasha's forest and found the couple resting by the river. She landed the feather and joined Inuyasha as he walked up to his brother.

Sesshoumaru woke Kagome up when Inuyasha and Kagura flew down close to them. They stood together in their humanoid form to greet them. "It is good to see you up and about Kagura."

Kagura bowed her head to him. "We have came for your assistance Sesshoumaru."

Inuyasha stood beside Kagura fuming. "There is a cord binding us to each other and Tetsusaiga couldn't cut it. We were wondering if you could try Toukijin on it?" He knelt down and held the string in his hand to show it to Sesshoumaru. Then he stood up and backed as far away from Kagura as he could. He watched his brother draw his sword and swing it. It too produced lots of sparks but didn't cut it. "How about you Kagome can you try something?"

Kagome knelt down beside Inuyasha and went to reach for the cord but brought her hand quickly back. It had shocked her. "It will not let me near it Inuyasha. You two will just have to learn to live with it until we find a way to get it removed." She held back her smile at this. It should be very interesting.

"There is no way I am staying attached to her for who knows how long." Inuyasha turned his back and crossed his arms.

"Like I want to be stuck with a hanyou like you. I don't like it any better than you do." Kagura turned away from Inuyasha and drew a feather from her hair and sat down and the feather flew into the air. She looked down and smiled when she saw Inuyasha flying upside down below her feather. He was shouting out many ways that he would get even with her. She flew back to the hut and got off her feather. She turned and saw Inuyasha. She couldn't help but laugh the hanyou was covered with leaves and small branches and dirt and grass.

Inuyasha jumped up when the witch landed. "What did you do that for?"

Kagura stopped laughing when she saw the anger in his face. "I will not abide by your rude behavior. If my fan was fixed I would deal with you right here. Just be glad that it is not. I have put up with many horrible things in my life and now I don't have to. You will not talk to me that way." She turned her back and started to the hut.

Inuyasha braced his self and when the cord stretched taunt and Kagura had to stop her self from falling he reached down and grabbed the cord and pulled her back to him. "Are you finished now?" He growled into her face. "We had better come to an agreement soon about how this is going to work because I don't like being near you any more than you like being near me."

"Fine you can just follow me like a good little puppy." Kagura smirked at Inuyasha.

"I AM NOT A PUPPY!!!" Inuyasha glared at Kagura.

Kagura walked closer to Inuyasha. "You must know that you look like one with those cute little ears on your head." She reached over and rubbed his ears. She was shocked that they felt so soft. She ran her fingers around his ears checking them out.

Inuyasha moved his head trying to get away from her touching his ears. "Will you stop that." He growled at Kagura and she still wouldn't turn his ears loose.

"Oh how cute. You even growl like a puppy." Kagura just loved getting the hanyou angry. He tried to look so fierce but the ears just spoiled it. It was hard to look fierce with puppy ears on his head. How could anyone take him seriously.

"Enough. I told you once I AM NOT A PUPPY!" He jerked his head out of her hands and backed away from her. He turned to jump away from her and fell flat on his face. He had forgot about the cord. He groaned and spit the dirt out of his mouth.

Kagura knelt down and grabbed his chin and forced his face up to hers. "Did the little doggy forget about the cord?"

Inuyasha growled again and jerked his face out of her hand. "How are we to face Naraku if I can't get two feet away from you?"

"Fine then I suggest that we go to the field over there and learn how to get along." She waited for Inuyasha to get up and they walked together to the field.
