Her New Home

Kagome awoke to Sesshoumaru nuzzling her neck. She turned her head and smiled at him. "Please tell me you are not in the mood again?"

"In the mood? What does that mean?" Sesshoumaru looked at her with a puzzled expression on his face.

Kagome looked a Sesshoumaru. Her face turned dark red then she leaned up to whisper in his ear what she had meant.

"Well in that case yes I am in the mood. But I know that you need a reprieve."
He picked her up and carried her to the hot springs. He waded into the water and sat her on his lap. Sesshoumaru took a cloth and washed her body. Letting the soothing heat from the water soothe her ravaged body. After he cleaned her Sesshoumaru moved her off his lap and set her in the water beside him. Then he washed himself. When he was cleaned he picked her up and carried her back to the bed. He retrieved his pants and put them on then handed the haori to Kagome to wear since he had sliced her clothes off her.

Kagome took his haori and slid it on and used his sash to tie it shut. "Now what?"

Sesshoumaru smiled at her and picked her up and floated into the air. "Now we go to my castle. You can get some food and decent clothes. I can get caught up on some urgent business then I will return you to my brother so you may finish your quest." He hugged her to his chest and leaned down to kiss her softly on the lips.

Kagome smiled and kissed him back. But then she remembered what he had said the day before. "Uh Sesshoumaru I thought you said that we would have to stay there until I finished my heat cycle?" She looked at him and frowned.

"I believe I said that we would have to stay until you finished your cycle or you got with pup. And since you are no longer having your cycle it was safe to leave."
He looked down on her face and saw her shocked expression. Sesshoumaru watched her hand fly to her stomach and she started rubbing it.

"Are you sure Sesshoumaru?" Kagome looked at him and smiled.

"Yes I am sure. Your scent is slightly different. If you were better trained in your miko powers you would be able to tell also. You would be able to tell how many and what sex they are." He smiled at her again and put his left hand over hers on her stomach. He saw his castle approaching and turned Kagome's head so she could see her new home. "Welcome to your new home."

Kagome let him turn her head and she saw the prettiest castle she had ever seen. It was breathtaking and surrounded by gardens. The sunlight shined off the white walls and the castle seemed to glow. "Wow. You really live here?"

"What did you expect?" Sesshoumaru frowned at her.

"I don't really know what I expected. I just know this wasn't it." Kagome looked down at the castle since they were closer. The place was huge. "It suits you."

"Why do you say that?" He looked at her in question.

"It's intimidating and beautiful at the same time." Kagome raised her head and smiled at him.

"So I am intimidating and beautiful? I can see intimidating but beautiful. That is not a word I would use to describe me." Sesshoumaru smiled at her.

"Trust me, that is exactly the word I would use to describe you." She raised her hand and ran it along his jaw. "How would you describe yourself?"

"I'll tell you later." Sesshoumaru landed in the courtyard. "Brace yourself. When Rin sees you here she will try to tackle you."

Kagome didn't have long to see Rin. She came running out of the castle and grabbed on Sesshoumaru's legs.

"Sesshoumaru-sama Rin has missed you." She moved away from his leg and looked over and saw Kagome. "Kagome. Did you come to visit Rin?"
She ran over and wrapped her arms around both of Kagome's.

If Kagome hadn't braced herself like Sesshoumaru had told her too she would indeed have fallen. When Rin released her she knelt down in front of her. "That is one of the reasons that I am here. Would you like to hear the other?"

Rin shook her head moving it back and forth so fast Kagome was afraid it might fall off. "Rin would like that very much."

Kagome smiled into Rins upturned face. "If you would have me I would like to be your new mother." Kagome felt Rin's small body hit her again with such a force that she was knocked backwards. She put her arms around the girl to stop her from falling when they settled on the grass.

"Rin is so happy. Rin has a new okaa-san." She hugged Kagome then she raised her head and smiled at Sesshoumaru. "Sesshoumaru-sama if Kagome is Rin's new okaa-san does that mean you are my otou-san?" She held her breath waiting for his answer.

Sesshoumaru looked down at the human girl before him. She was ningen and would live the life span of one. This made Sesshoumaru a little sad. He and Kagome and the pups they would far out live her but as far as he was concerned she was already his daughter. He picked the girl up off his mate and set her back on her feet then nodded at her. "Yes Rin"

Rin looked from Kagome and back to Sesshoumaru then she flew to Sesshoumaru and grabbed onto his legs.

Kagome watched as Rin latched onto Sesshoumaru's legs with enough force to knock him to the ground. She didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. Kagome had never expected to see the Lord of the West rolling around on the ground with a human child. Let alone being hugged so tight by that child the rest of his face was taking on the shade of his stripes. She felt the tears sliding down her cheek as she watched them together. She gave them a few minutes together and then walked over to them. Kagome decided to take pity on Sesshoumaru and rescued him from their new daughter. She walked over and pried Rin off of Sesshoumaru. Then she held out a hand to each of them. I had thought that I would miss my family because the well wouldn't let me back through. But I hope to live to see them again. But with Sesshoumaru, Shippou, and now Rin and not to mention her friends she finally realized that she had her own family. Plus her own pups would just add to her joy. She watched as both Rin and Sesshoumaru took her hand and she led them to the castle doors.

Benten looked down at the family entering the castle. Almost everyone was there. Only the pup was missing. So everything had worked out for them. So far and she and her friends were going to make sure it stayed that way. They were not done yet and had to get busy. But first she had to visit Uzume.

Uzume watched as Benten walked into her room. "I know why you came." She handed a vial to Benten. "I even made it drinkable. It will accomplish what you wish."

Benten laughed and kissed Uzume on the cheek and gave her a hug. "Thanks Uzu your the best."

"Why do I only get compliments like that from you when you get your way?"
Uzume smiled at Benten. It was hard to stay mad at the Goddess of Love."

"Just lucky I guess. I've got to fly. See you later." Benten waved her hand and disappeared.

Benten entered Sesshoumaru's castle and used her senses to find the girl. She was with Kagome. She would come back when they were asleep to accomplish her goal. With another wave of her hand she disappeared.

Kagome bathed herself and Rin then changed into a light blue kimono then helped Rin get dressed then she took Rin's hand and let Rin lead her to the dinning room. She could see herself getting lost for years to come in the castle. Rin was humming and swinging their arms back and forth. Kagome looked down and smiled at Rin. She was now the mother of two children with who knows how many pups on the way. She took her other hand and moved it over her stomach.

Rin looked at her new okaa-san and smiled when she rubbed her stomach. "Is okaa-san going to be having Rin a new brother or sister, besides Shippou? Speaking of Shippou where is Rin's new brother?"

Kagome stopped and looked down at Rin. "Yes Rin I am going to have pups. I don't know how many or if they will be boys or girls yet. Shippou is with your uncle Inuyasha."

Rin's hands went to her waist and she frowned at Kagome. "You left my brother with otou-san's mean brother?"

Kagome had to laugh at the look Rin was giving her. "Your uncle is not mean, well not all the time. And he has changed a lot recently. I think you will like him once you get to know him."

"I will take your word on it okaa-san." Rin grabbed her hand and pulled Kagome along behind her. She led them to the dining room to find Sesshoumaru already seated and waiting on them.

Sesshoumaru watched the girls enter the room. He couldn't take his eyes of Kagome. She was beautiful. He stood up and walked over to her. He pulled her up against him and lowered his mouth to her. He ran his tongue along her lips and when she opened her mouth he jutted it inside. He felt Kagome pull away from him shortly after and when he opened his eyes he saw why. Rin was staring at them with her mouth opened in shock. He bent down and picked her up in his arms and hugged her and kissed her forehead.

Rin didn't know what shocked her more. That Sesshoumaru would kiss Kagome like that or that he actually picked Rin up and kissed Rin's head. She was happy about both. Shocked but happy. When Sesshoumaru smiled at her and set her down at the table she smiled back at him. "Rin liked that otou-san."

Sesshoumaru watched as the servants brought trays of food out. Most demons didn't eat human food but he could hardly serve raw meat with Rin sitting at the table. So he picked up his tea and drank it.

Kagome watched Sesshoumaru drink his tea He wasn't eating he had to be hungry. "Sesshoumaru why are you not eating?"

Sesshoumaru smiled at her "I am not hungry. If I get so I will get something later."

Kagome frowned at him. She knew he was lying. She felt a small tug on her sleeve and saw Rin motion for her to bend down.

Rin put her mouth to Kagome's ear "Otou-san only eats by himself. He does not want to make us sick or have us think less of him because he thinks the site of him eating raw meat in front of us would do so."

Kagome looked from Rin to Sesshoumaru then she leaned down to Rin's ear. "Would it make you sick?"

"Oh no it would not. Rin feels sorry for him for not being able to eat with Rin and okaa-san at the table." Rin frowned again but kept eating.

Kagome whispered back to Rin "Show me where the kitchen is." She stood up and held our her hand to Rin.

Rin stood and took her hand and drug Kagome to the kitchen.

Sesshoumaru had watched the girls talking back and forth but he couldn't hear what they were saying. Then frowned at them when they rose from the table and disappeared into the kitchen.

Kagome entered the kitchen and paused a little when everyone stopped working. A lady approached her and bowed. "Are you the person in charge of the kitchens?"

"Yes my Lady I am Terumi the head housekeeper and am in charge of the servants in the castle. Was something wrong with your meal my Lady?" Terumi bowed down again before the lady.

Kagome frowned at the demoness before her. She let her master go hungry in his own home and she wanted to know if something was wrong. "Yes there is Terumi. From now on my mate is to be served his food with ours. Now prepare it and bring it to him. And make haste about it." Kagome smiled and with Rin left the kitchen to return to their seats.

Sesshoumaru watched them return and raised an eyebrow at Kagome in question. "Is everything fine with your meal?"

Kagome took Sesshoumaru's hand in hers and squeezed it. "It is fine. I just wanted to meet the staff that had prepared it. That's all." She smiled as a servant brought a plate to Sesshoumaru and set it before him.

Sesshoumaru smiled at Kagome but it turned to a frown when a servant brought a plate of raw meat and set it before him. "What is the meaning of this?"

Kagome watched the servant back up and could smell the fear coming off her. She took Sesshoumaru's hand again to draw his attention back to her. "Sesshoumaru I will not let you go hungry in your own castle at your own table. Rin and myself would be much happier if you ate with us instead of by yourself. I was the one that requested your food brought to you. Now enjoy your meal or I will sleep in my own room tonight." She turned loose of his hands and grabbed her chopsticks and grabbed a piece of meat off his plate. Not to bad a little metallic but still not too bad, But one was enough for now. She returned to her own food.

Sesshoumaru was shocked that Kagome would do that. He smiled at her and Rin and proceeded to eat. He was surprised that Kagome and Rin didn't start gawking at him. Then Kagome stole a piece of his meat and he almost laughed at the expression on her face. She would have to learn to eat it. Her youkai would demand it on occasion. He would help her over come her reluctance to raw meat.
Lunch was finished and the table was cleared. "So what do you all have planned for the rest of the day?"

Kagome looked at Rin and smiled "I think Rin is going to show me around the castle and the gardens. Then we are going to pack some stuff for our trip tomorrow."

Sesshoumaru kissed Kagome and Rin's cheeks and nodded to them "Sounds like fun. I will be in my study should you need me."

Kagome and Rin nodded and smiled as he left the room. "Well that didn't go to bad." Kagome took Rin's hand and smiled down at her. "Now show me some interesting parts of the castle." For the rest of the day Kagome let Rin guide her around the castle. She showed her all the rooms but what she liked the most was the gardens. After walking around the garden for awhile Kagome saw that it was getting late. "Time to get ready for dinner Rin." She took the child's hand and they returned to the castle. They ate then Kagome helped Rin with her bath and put her to bed. Sesshoumaru came out of his study and joined Kagome in Rin's room and kissed the child good night and walked with Kagome out of the room.

Sesshoumaru put his arm around Kagome and pulled her against his side. "Now is it my turn to give you a bath and tuck you in?"

Kagome smiled up at Sesshoumaru "That sounds nice but what if I don't want to go to bed just yet."

"I think we can come up with something to keep you amused." Sesshoumaru bent down and picked Kagome up bridal style into his arms and raced to the hot springs.
