Night Terrors

A/N sorry this chapter took so long, Ive been busy figuring out the ending for my other fic Kitsune tails, once I get that one done I promise to update quicker, but until then bare with me people. Kagome slept till noon she awoke to the smell of ramen. Inu yasha of course asked the obvious.
"Did you have any bad dreams?"
"No I didnt have any dreams at all than the gods" she replied as she finished off her bowl of noodles.
"Inu yasha do you think you could come with me to take a bath, for um, protection and stuff." Kagome asked with a blush at the idea of having Inu yasha come with her to bathe.
Inu yasha gulped and nodded his head.

After they had finished their lunch, Kagome gatherd her batheing supplies then she and Inu yasha headed down to the lake. The cool water felt good against her skin as she swam about in her bathing suit. Inu yasha sat on the bank keeping an eye on her.
"Inu yasha come in the waters fine" she yelled to him from the oppisite shore.
"No way its to cold!" he shouted back. Kagome dove under the water and reserviced next to him. She stared at him with her cheeks puffed out.
"What?" he asked. Her staring was making him nervouse. Her pout turned to a wicked grin as she spat the water from in her mouth at him. It hit him right in the eye, some even went up his nose.
She quickly went back under and swam away so that he would have to get in to get her. Inu yasha couldn't not retaliate.
"Alright that does it, yoo goo going to get it now" He said as he removed both of his tops and lept into the cold water. It starteld him a bit but once he got over the initial shock, he dove after Kagome who was smart enough to be a good enough distence away from him so that he'd have to swim a good distence to catch her.
Unfortunatly for Kagome, Inu yasha's demon speed, also allowed him to swim faster too. In no time he had caught up with her. The water flew everywhere, but mostly a Inu yasha, as Kagome tried to escape the death grip he had on her waist. He realised her long enough to dunk her under the water. He swam away before she could come up for air, little did he know she didnt plan on coming up for air. She swam behind Inu yasha, the mirky lakeer wer was the perfect cover. A wonderful plan began to form in her mind.
Inu yasha began to worry. He wasnt sure how long humans could hold their breath, but Kagome was definatly pushing it. He was about to dive after her when he felt a soft hand on his shoulder. A wave of relief washed over him as he turned around to see Kagome stanging their in her bah-kee-nee as she called it. It was pale blue and it fit her so snuggly, that what it didnt cover was left to his imagenation. He was a bit shocked when she gave him a seductive smile and rapped her arms around his neck. Her face closed the gap between them until their noses almost touched. He could feel her warm breath on his lips. He tried to say something anything, but while his mouth was moving no volume was coming out. He gulped rather loudly when her small delicate hands roamed through his silver hair and came in contact with his sensitive ears. She rubbed them for a minute before backing her face away a dunking him under the water as he had done to her.
When he came up he found that Kagome was laughing histericly. He didnt find it very funny, but he supposed he probably deserved it. He shrugged it off and the splashing war continued. First Kagome would splash him lighty, and he would splash her back in a playful manner. Then it became more physical. They would tackle eachother and dunk eachother. This play continued for hours, they even discoverd a lovely vine that hung over the lake. It looked stable enough, it was connected to an old oak tree. It took them a while to figure out how to get to it. They had to get out of the lake and take a little path up hill to get to the tree it hung from. Inu yasha was the first to try it out. He had to be carefull he had to swing out far enough or he would never make it to the deep water. He grabbed the vine and backed up a few yards before running straight off the cliff overhang and swinging right into the lake. The splash almost reached the top of the cliff. Kagome was waiting for the vine to return when her attention was diverted to a bush in the shadows. There it was again, the same clicking sounds she heard in her dreams. Even though she knew she was probably imagining it she couldnt tear her attention away from the large bush. She decided the only way for her to get it out of her system was to just check the bush and get it over with. Slowly she walked tword the shrub with her hand extended.
Inu yasha was a little concerned when the vine swung out for the fourth time without Kagome on it.
"Kagome are you ok up there?" he called as he looked up to the cliff.
Kagome heard him but didnt want to answer him. She didnt want to frighten off what ever was with in the bush with her yelling. She was determined to prove to herself that it was just a dream. Maybe if she found out what was making those strange noises the night mares would stop. All of a sudden the bushes began to shake violently as a figure ran from the bushes it all happend so fast Kagome couldnt even determine who or what the figure was. All she knew was that it had run right into her and now they were both falling from the cliff. The figure was holding on to her waist as they free falled Kagome wanted to scream, she wanted to cry out for Inu yasha to save her, but nothing would come out. It was like watching a silent movie. She couldnt hear anything but the air wizzing past her ears. All she could do was hope that Inu yasha would save her before they hit the shallow water.
