The First Night

If you are wondering what has been taking me so long, its mainly the fact that I am working on another fanfiction called "The Killing" in Naruto fanfictions, so please be patient! Anywho, thank you for the 2 reviews from RinSess13! I appreciate it! I actually have an account on the Moonlight flower sanctuary site, but I haven't managed to get anything up yet. Sorry about that! Rin sat in her bed, brushing through her hair before she lay down for the night. Sesshomaru knocked lightly on the door, and she called that it was alright, so he came into her room.

"Is everything to your liking, Rin?" He asked her, and she nodded. "Hn."

Before he could leave, Rin called out his name, and he turned to face her. "Please come here for a moment, Lord Sesshomaru."

He didn't hesitate. He went to her, and she stood out of her bed and faced him. Then she pulled him lightly down, him allowing it of course, and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. Then she pulled away, and sat back down on her bed. "Good night, Lord Sesshomaru!" She said, and she lay down. 

He blew out her lamp on his way out, and shut her door behind him. His face felt hot, and he rushed to the dressing room in his chambers. He went to stand in front of his mirror that sat on a table, and saw something he had never seen on his face before this night--a blush lightly splashed across his nose and cheeks. Anger flared in his heard, and he threw the table, mirror and all, away from him. It crashed into the floor with a loud clutter, and he made no move to fix it.

"That girl..." Sesshomaru muttered.

'That girl...I should not have let her come with me!' His mind screamed, but his heart couldn't feel that, and his mouth could not utter it aloud. He put his face in his palm. 'But I...This Sesshomaru does not love humans! Not even one as wonderful as Rin!' Sesshomaru's mind cried. He laid down in his bed, and tried to relax. But then he heard a light knock on his door, and he could smell her before she was even in the room. "What is it, Rin?" He asked.

She opened the door and stuck her head in. "Is everything...alright, Lord Sesshomaru?"

He chose to be honest with her. "No, Rin, it's not."

She came in a few steps, concerned. "What is wrong?"

"It is nothing. Just nonsense."

"....Would you like to talk about it with me, Lord Sesshomaru?"

He glanced at her, and walked out onto his balcony, motioning her to come with him. "There has been....something....on my mind."

"...Is it a woman?" She asked, desperately hoping that it wasn't.

"Hn."

Her heart thundered, and her spirits fell. "...Oh," she sighed dejectedly. He looked over at her, and gently brushed a piece of hair out of her face.

"What is the matter?"

"...It is nothing, My Lord."

"Rin."

"Yes, Lord Sesshomaru?"

"Do not lie to me."

She sighed. "I.....well, I.....I just don't want you to be in love with another woman, Lord Sesshomaru."

He looked at her. "Why?"

"Because....I am in love with you, my Lord."

He sucked in a shallow breath, letting it out in a soft sigh. "I am aware."

Her face flushed.

"Go to bed, Rin. I will see you in the morning."

She nodded. "Good night, Lord Sesshomaru."
