When Truth Becomes The Lie

InuYasha racked his brain, trying to figure out what happened. He had no recollection of the past few days, and when he awoke to find himself covered in blood, he couldn't remember what he had done. The last thing he remembered was fighting with Kagome, watching her go home, and finding Kikyo.

He hit himself in the head, trying to remember anything, but nothing of use came to his mind.

Kagome whimpered when Sesshomaru returned to her that night. She realized a few hours ago that the collar meant to keep her silent no longer worked, and she hoped that Sesshomaru didn't know. Who knows what he would do. She curled into a ball, trying to hide from the demon, wishing she was anywhere but here.

Sesshomaru wasn't pleased. He had been to enraged early to notice the collar, and he needed to find another way of keeping her silence. But he would have to seek out a demon to enchant another collar, and he wouldn't be troubled with that at the current moment. He still had yet to reach his goal.

He looked upon the battered girl on his bed and growled lowly to gain her attetion. When he didn't receive it, he reached and grabbed her hair once more, lurching her towards him.

"Tell me, girl. Why did you attack my castle?" His voice was laced with malice, his eyes cold and distant. He expected her to answer honestly, given the punishment she knew she would receive. But still her words angered him.

"I never did such a thing, Sesshomaru!" She cried out. What good woud it do her to make an enemy of him? They had just agreed to be allies! Sesshomaru shook his head in anger, knowing that he knew the truth, and the words she spoke were nothing but lies. No one would make a fool of him and escape unscathed.

He threw her to the bed and took his pleasure from her again, just as viciously as the first time. Until she spoke the truth, or her eyes were void of life, this is what her life would consist of.

A smug chuckle could be heard as the bitter priestess looked into the little white haired girl's mirror. At this rate, her reincarnation would die by Sesshomaru's hand, as would InuYasha. It seemed amazing, how it easy it was to bewitch the hanyou. Just knowing the circumstances for their deaths was satisfying to cold woman.

Kikyo looked towards Naraku and smiled. She knew that he would wish for her to be flesh and blood again, and once she was strong enough, he too would die by her own hand.

She continued to watch as the demon had his way with the young Miko, laughing everytime he pulled a scream from her throat. Soon, she would go to InuYasha, inform him of what has been happening, and send him in the direction of the Western Lord. And she would get to watch from the mirror, as her former lover died.
