He landed and looked around. He saw what Tenseiga had dragged him to, an empty mass grave. He frowned and pondered for a moment. This grave was familiar, but the lord of the west couldn't quite put his finger on it. However, he could tell that Naraku had been here. That meant that whoever had been buried here had probably been revived by the shards of the jewel that the spider had. He then noticed that there had been seven dead bodies here.
"Seven...that band of seven was revived by Naraku? Why would he waste his time with that trash?' he thought. Of course, this did make taking Rin into this fight more problematic. Those humans, when they were alive, were ruthless. Now, as the undead, they would be even more blood thirsty than before. But, I don't think I can trust Jaken to protect her.' He then came to a decision, "Jaken, take Ah-Un back home, Rin, you are with me."
"But Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken protested as Rin came over to stand beside the dog demon.
"You failed me once when I asked you to look after her safety. This Sesshomaru will not give you another chance."
"Yes Lord Sesshomaru," Jaken relented and took off on Ah-Un.
"Rin, on my back, now," he instructed and Rin quickly climbed up on to his back. He launched into the air and continued to make his way to the mountain.

He rested in one of the dark inner caves of Mt. Hakurei. Breaching through the barrier that was around the mountain had been a task for him. His demonic aura had needed to recover from the assault it had taken.
"It's spooky," Rin commented.
"There isn't anything to worry about."
"But we don't know where Naraku is."
"He's hiding deeper in the mountain," Sesshomaru answered. His ears picked up the sound of two swords clashing. Scooping Rin up on his back, he headed for the sound of battle. He found his younger brother in battle with an undead warrior Sesshomaru could tell that the sward that the one his brother was fighting was giving off a demonic aura. Tenseiga rattled, demanding that the abomination before him.
"Backlash wave!"
"No need Tenseiga, he will die soon," Sesshomaru said. Rin didn't understand. How could one talk to one's sword?
"Bastard, finally got rid of all of those undead bastards." Inuyasha said. He went for the shards but Naraku's wasps collected them.
"Your foe foolishly used a sword that had a demonic aura. Your backlash wave was his undoing."
"Sesshomaru! what the hell are you doing here?"
"Don't question me, that isn't a concern that you should be having. What you should be concerned with is finding that spider demon."
"Grrr, Naraku! I'm coming for you!" Inuyasha bellowed and charged.
"One track mind." Sesshomaru commented.

He landed to see a river of Naraku's poison. There standing triumphantly, was the spider. Sesshomaru didn't know why the spider looked as if he had won a great battle.
"You are too confident for someone that is about to die. You thought you could kill all your enemies within that rock that was Mt. Hakurei."
"You, Koga, and Inuyasha weren't what I was trying to kill, It was Kikyou." Naraku said with a smile. "With my human heart out I cannot be killed."
"We shall see about that." Sesshomaru said readying himself.
"Foolish dog, I have better things to do. i have a jewel to complete," Naraku said and vanished.
"Coward," Sesshomaru let out. Inuyasha came sprinting up to see the river of poison.
"What the hell happened here?" Inuyasha asked.
"We were not what he wanted to get rid of. Your undead lover is down there." Sesshomaru said pointing down at the river.
"What!?"
"I came after the fact. Had I been here before he threw her down there Tenseiga would have compelled me to rid the world of the living of her soul."
"Damn you," Inuyasha growled.
"Why would you want a woman that wanted you to throw away your father's legacy. Had you become full human you would have handed me Tetsusaiga to me."
"Grrr..." Inuyasha grumbled.
"You are trapped between two women with the same soul. I suggest you find a way out of that trap," Sesshomaru said and took flight.
"Goodness, what happened here?" Miroku said looking down.
"Kikyou is down in that poison." Inuyasha answered quietly. Miroku closed his eyes and began to prey.
'Bastard, what are you doing with a damn human on your back!' Inuyasha ranted in his head. What the fuck is wrong with that bastard of a brother of his?
