Wooing Stubborn Mates

Chapter 3

Spotting the entrance to the humkai village, the group ran faster.

There was a sign above the entrance to the village with the name of the village written in big colourful letters with different human and youkai faces on it.

‘Should be interesting’ Sesshomaru thought ‘A village where human’s and youkai live together in harmony?’

Just as they were a few minutes away from the village a figure jumped out of the trees and landed in front of them, blocking their path to humkai village.

Sesshomaru and Inuyasha drew their swords while Kagome protected Rin and Shippo. They glared at the figure who glared right back at them.

The figure in front of them was male, they were sure of that but they couldn’t tell anything else as the black cloak he was wearing covered up everything and only left a pair of shocking emerald eyes visible.

As they stared each other down, Shippo looked closely at the cloaked figure. There was a scent that just seemed to scream to him, something that told him that this person…no youkai was not a threat to them if they behaved.

So ignoring his mother’s words, Shippo quickly moved past her and his father and uncle until he was standing in front of the cloaked figure.

Shippo felt the hairs on the back of his neck as the cloaked figure looked down on him but the gut feeling in his stomach told him that this male youkai wouldn’t truly harm him, it was the feeling that his birth mother had told him about before she died.

When an orphan Kitsune kit meets a Kitsune, no matter the facts or if the kit had already been adopted, and got this feeling then it would mean one thing, they would be family somehow though with the feeling that he was getting from this male youkai, Shippo could only say one thing:

“Big Brother!”

The reactions were both shocking and funny. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha stood there still in their battle stance with their mouths handing open, Kagome and Rin stood there with wide eyes, and Shippo pounced.

“Merlin’s Balls,” the cloak figure said in shock and surprise at Shippo’s shout and pounced on him to sit on his head.

“Big Brother!” Shippo yelled again as he hugged the cloak figure’s head.

“Hey Kid,” the cloak figure said in an accent that expressed he was a foreigner “I’m not your big brother!”

Inuyasha watched as Shippo hugged the stranger’s head, taking in the stranger’s sent he could smell that of the forest, what seemed like a magical odor and that of foxes and…what the hell was his brother’s sent doing on this stranger as it was obvious that they had just meet the stranger for the first time.

A yell and giggle pulled him back to the present, Shippo had fallen down the side of the stranger , taking the hood of the cloak with him and sliding down the strangers back, the strangers…tails?...acted as a sort of safe ending to the slide.

“Seems we’re going to be one big happy family,” Kagome said trying not to laugh at the now de-cloaked figure’s look of pure shock.

“F-f-family?” the stranger said in shock.

Looking at the new person, Sesshomaru couldn’t stop a little problem from making itself known. The male was a submissive if his body shape was anything to go by along with those hips that were perfect for baring children. The fox ears were the same midnight black as his hair though there was a light tip of red to the ears. The tail was already split into three which just showed how dangerous this youkai could be already at just a young age. The tails were the same colour as his hair though there was the same red streak on the tail tip like on his fox ears.

Inuyasha and Kagome shared a look before nodding and walked over to the shocked Kitsune.

“Welcome to the family son!” Inuyasha said with a grin and a pointed look in Sesshomaru’s direction.

“How the hell can we be family? We’ve only just meet and I was planning to kill you!” the stranger yelled, his face going redder as Kagome checked him over like a mother hen.

“Seems that you’ve still got a lot of learning to do,” Inuyasha said as he watched his mate in amusement “I’m taking it that your parents are dead?”

The male Kitsune nodded, still in shock

Inuyasha gave a doggish grin “All orphan Kitsune that are not of age when they lose their parents are connected in this sort of big bond thing because of their youkai energy to try and find them a family again, like Shippo is with us, and that bond seems to say that your also going to be our son!”

Birds everywhere flew out of the forest trees at the stranger’s reaction and choice of words.

“Now calm down, you’ll be part of our family, we will be part of all yours and…” Inuyasha said as he and Shippo slowly walked away with their hands up in a show of defeat “I’ve yet to tell you everything.”

“Oh really?” the stranger asked, a vain appearing on his forehead.

“My older brother,” Inuyasha said as he pushed Sesshomaru forward “Lord Sesshomaru, Lord of the western lands, is your dominate mate! You’re Seme!”

The stranger gave them a deadly glare that even had Sesshomaru scared “So you’re telling me that you’re going to be my parents, the kit’s my little brother and he is my mate without even asking me my name?”
