With Emmett and the family after school

Emmett turned to once more glare at his mocking family. They hadn't let up on him yet, and he was getting really annoyed. It wasn't so much Alice or Bella that were ragging on him about Kagome, but more so his two lovely brothers. He snorted at that thought, Lovely his arse.

“What Emmett you don't think we're lovely? That hurts, all we were saying is that we think its cute” Edward replied to his thoughts.

Emmett huffed-even more annoyed that he couldn't even rant in peace within his own mind, “Whatever Eddie, I didn't give you this much crap when you were all goo goo over Bella” He wasn't pouting, nope not at all.

Jasper laughed, “Alright- Alright we will stop Emmett.”

Emmett looked over towards his brother, looking over him cautiously, he didn't trust him nope, not for minute.

To bad Emmett was focusing so much one on brother and not both, otherwise he would have noticed Edward get up and leave the room and go to his piano, he didn't notice until of course music started playing along with Edward's voice, singing.

“Kagome and Emmett sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes..a..Evil spawn in a baby carriage.”

Jasper laughed at the song, while Emmett growled, He didn't think there even was suppose to be music for that song. Getting up he first gave a smack to Jasper's head before chasing down Edward and delivering more hits then the one he gave to his other brother. Giving both of his brothers one more glare he left upstairs and towards his room.

Alice looked towards the two snickering 'men' left downstairs, “That wasn't very nice you guys- Emmett was going through a hard time anyways, you should be glad that he found someone to get his mind off of Rose.”

She told them, or more like lectured them as though she was speaking to children, with the way they are acting today it seemed like she really was.

Edward smirked, “Your just glad you found a new shopping partner.”

Alice pouted, “That's not it at all!”

Bella spoke up this time, “I'm glad to see Emmett happier, I was starting to worry we would never get the big bear Emmett back and instead be left with well a shell of his former self.”

Edward sighed but nodded, “That's true”

“But what I don't get is why did he change so quickly after meeting her and I mean, it is like he acts as a child does when they first discover the female gender.”She questioned.

Edward laughed, “I couldn't find the reason in his mind, he just thinks she is good- by the way Bella, you are starting to act to much more like my family now.”

Bella chuckled, and leaned more into Edward's chest.

“I think I know why.” Jasper spoke, Once seeing he had everyones attention he continued.

“Its kind of like a pull- When you meet someone you just feel right around them and as though all insecurities you may have had go out the window. You feel like you can be yourself around them.”

“Like a soul mate?” Alice asked.

Jasper shook his head, “Not all the way- Sure its similar to the pull when your soul mate is near, but not really. Its just you know that they are meant to be in your life. Like it was already written.”

Alice nodded towards that, “I get it, kind of like how I knew I would meet you, and join this family.”

Jasper nodded in agreement.

Edward shook his head, “Wow Jasper, I didn't know you would believe in such things”

Jasper smirked, “Well I didn't before, until I meet Alice. But then again I also didn't believe in Seers, Mind readers or vampires.”

Edward nodded, “True, true”

After that the conversation turned to random things amongst one another.

With Kagome

* * *

As Kagome had previously thought, after her father and herself had gotten their updated license they had made their way to the Cullen's home. As it had been the previous time they had come to the house everyone was inside the living room- except of course, for Alice. Whom had greeted them as soon as they pulled into the driveway.

“Hi Kagome! Hi Landon!” She chirped, hugging Kagome as she greeted her. Then motioning for both to follow her inside.

Once they reached the Living room where the rest of the family waited(Bella included) Alice turned to face them once more,

“How did the test go?” She questioned with a smirk.

Landon pouted and mumbled “Like you don't already know”

Kagome sighed,She elbowed her father in the ribs before answering Alice's question.

“It went great, we both got our updated license”

Jasper laughed from his position on the couch, earning everyones attention.

“You know, I could have just made you new ones right?That's what I always do when we move to different locations”He told them.

Landon gasped and threw his hands in the air, “What!?! Why didn't you tell Kagome that at school today? you knew she was taking a test!” He then started fake crying, “Did you know what I had to go through?! I-I had to drive the speed limit!!” By time he had finished his rant, Landon was kneeling before Jasper grasping his pant legs.

Kagome snorted, “Yeah, he almost died having to obey the laws.”

Landon turned to glare at Kagome, as the others quietly chuckled at the father-daughter interaction, well that- and Landon's overreacting.

After a few moments of banter between the two they took the seats offered to them by Alice and started talking amongst one another, well it was more like Carlisle, Esme and Landon were talking. While the 'children' were talking about some other stuff.

“So Kagome, when did you want to go shopping?”Alice questioned.

Kagome shrugged her shoulders, “Whenever, how about this weekend?”

Alice zoned out for a moment before nodding her head enthusiastically, “That sounds great!”

They were brought from their conversation as Landon started speaking to them.

“Oh! Yeah, Kagome! Your turning eighteen soon, do you know what that means?” He questioned.

Kagome looked at him as though he had lost his mind, “Yes it means I'll soon be legally an adult?” It was more of a question then an answer.

Landon looked thoughtful for a moment, “Well yes, but! It also means that you will be getting more of an vampire appearance.”

Kagome looked excited at the idea, “Really?!” Seeing her father's nod she let out an excited squeak, Before running off towards the first bathroom she could find.

Inside the bathroom she had her mouth opened and her tongue sticking out, while she looked at the mirror at her reflection, Soon her father came into the bathroom and looked at her for a moment before questioning.

“What exactly are you doing?”

Kagome snapped her mouth shut and turned to look at him, “I was looking to see if my fangs have grown in yet.”

Landon snorted, “My dear, have you ever seen me with fangs throughout your whole life?”

Kagome thought for a moment, “No, I haven't” She sighed, she knew where he was getting with that question.

Landon chuckled, “You have been watching way to many horror movies, come on lets get back downstairs so I can finish what I had been saying before.”

Kagome pouted, but followed her father down the stairs and back to their seats. She looked around the room and saw the family chuckling, she knew they had heard what happened up stairs.

Her frown deepened, “Its not funny! I wanted fangs!” She said loudly.

Landon put a hand on her shoulder, in a comforting gesture, “Its okay dear- but as I was saying you should being getting some more of your vampire abilities, including the thirst, which means you will have to be hunting soon.”

Kagome nodded at that, she was use to hunting animals from her time in the past but, this was a new thing entirely, she use to hunt for meat not blood.

“When am I going to have to do that?” She questioned. She really didn't like the idea of taking an animals life and only using it for the blood- it didn't seem right.

Landon looked over at her before grasping the charm and looking it over , “Soon- before you and Alice go shopping, I can take you tonight if you want.”

Kagome looked nervous but before she had a chance to answer Emmett spoke.

“I can take you if you want Kagome, I need to go hunting to so it will be good.”

Kagome looked at her father seeing his approval she looked towards Emmett and nodded.

“That sounds great! When do you want to leave?”She asked him.

He looked thoughtful for a moment, “Why not now? The sun is already set- and this will give your dad time to talk Carlisle for Awhile.”

Kagome nodded and then stood, “Alright” she sighed, “Lets go- better to get this done now then later.”

Emmett chuckled and rose too, “Alright! Lets do this!” he exclaimed before quickly exiting the home and into the forest behind the house, Kagome followed close behind him.

The following weekend

It was now the weekend and Kagome was with Alice shopping for new clothing, she looked towards the smaller girl who was browsing the clothing racks, and then towards her other companion.

She mentally laughed, Alice had somehow 'convinced' Bella into coming shopping with them. Kagome had to admit this was a lot better then shopping with her old friends, because at least with Bella and Alice they could talk about something other then boys.

Kagome frowned at that thought, although she usually disliked talking about boys, one had been plaguing her thoughts a lot lately.

She was brought from her thoughts as a new outfit was tossed at her, she caught it at ease and looked at the clothing questioningly.

“What's this for?” She asked.

Alice giggled lightly, “Its for when you go to a club or whatnot.”

Looking down at the short dress Kagome Mentally sighed , wondering when she had even agreed to go to one.

Before she could say anything she was handed more clothes.

“Go try those on, while Bella and I try these on.” Alice told her.

Kagome sighed but nodded and quickly made her way ,clothing in tow, to the open dressing room.

She tried on one of the outfits for school, she liked it. Although she was use to wearing more light colored clothing,or rather plain since she was use to only wearing it at home or when running errands. The clothing Alice had picked sure was change from what she was use to wearing.

Her outfit now was pink skinny jeans, with a black tank top shirt- the middle was stripes, with pink ribbon corseting in the front.

Looking herself over once more she shrugged, this would do for now. Alice really knows how to pick out clothes that complement a body.

After trying on the next few outfits, and putting the clothing she was going to get, and wasn't going to get in different piles. She dressed in her original outfit and stepped out of the room to see Alice and Bella already waiting with clothes on hand.

“Great! Your done, I'm hungry now lets go get food!” Alice said before dragging both girls to the register to pay.

Kagome looked confused for a moment, how could Alice be hungry? Then she looked at Bella and noticed how exhausted the poor girl looked, thats right. Bella was human, and probably was actually hungry, which she noticed that she herself was starting to get hungry, for human food. Although Alice could go shopping 24/7- normal people couldn't.

Following her two companions they made their way past shops before coming to a small restaurant , after stepping inside and getting a table, they placed their orders and waited for the food.

Seeing this as a perfect time Kagome cleared her throat to gain Alice's attention, once seeing it on her she spoke,

“Alice, What's wrong with Emmett?” She cringed after saying it, that could have come out better.

Alice chuckled, “What do you mean what's wrong with him?”

Kagome looked down at her water cup, thinking of how to ask it without being offensive.

“I mean, there isn't anything wrong with him physically- that I can tell. But when we were hunting, he seemed off, as though he wasn't fully there emotionally? Or something of the sort.” She replied, shaking her head at her answer- that still didn't sound right.

Alice shrugged, “Well he had recently gotten a divorce from his wife, so I guess he hasn't healed from it all the way, his mind has been rather spacey lately.”

Kagome nodded, she understood that. But what she couldn't understand was why someone would want to leave Emmett- besides his mood when they had been hunting he seems like one of the most lovable beings you could ever meet, if she could pick up that from just a few hours with him she didn't understand why someone wouldn't want to spend time with him.

Shaking her head Kagome decided that she would think upon it later, or at least try and help him out possibly, a person that kind didn't deserve to be sad.

The rest of the time at the restaurant was spent talking about what shops they were going to go later among other things, school being one of them.

Later that evening

* * *

Kagome and Bella sighed in relief as they put down their heavy bags after entering the Cullen home. Kagome had noticed her father's car in the driveway, an obvious sign that he was here catching up with his old friend again.

“Oh come on you babies, it wasn't that bad.” Alice said, smirking at her two friends and she entered the house.

Kagome rolled her eyes, “Sure, sure- I'll leave these there until we leave, cause that is a lot of bags.”

Alice shrugged her shoulders, “Suit yourself, Come on Bella you can put your bags in Edward's room while I put mine in my room.” Bella nodded grabbing her bags she followed Alice up the stairs.

After they left Kagome arranged her bags into a neat pile near the door before going into the living room, where she saw her father and Carlisle talking on the couches.

When she entered the room, her dad turned towards her with excitement, “Guess what were doing Kagome?”

She shrugged her shoulders, “Um talking?”

Landon grinned, “Well yes, but its going to rain so we're going to play baseball with the Cullens!”

Kagome scratched her head as she thought it over, “We are going to play baseball in the rain, why?”

Landon shrugged his shoulders, “Cause its fun, come on!” He begged.

Kagome mentally rolled her eyes. “Alright, Alright- sounds fun when is it going to rain?” She questioned.

Landon looked behind her and out the windows and smirked, “Right now!”
