*** Back with Inuyasha ***

Inuyasha was pissed to say the least. Kagome was just faster than him, it only took him maybe fifteen minutes to figure out there was no way he was going to be able to catch her. Inuyasha was hard pressed to control his rage at losing the woman he thought of as his. Trees started falling as he vented his rage.

*** With the rest of the Inutaichi ***

Shippo was distraught, his mother was missing. Sango was doing her best to comfort him as she herself worried for her friend. Miroku was for once, making himself useful by gathering wood and starting a fire so that they could cook dinner.

It was almost an hour later that Inuyasha made his reappearance. “Inuyasha, where’s Kagome?” Miroku was the first to speak, worried for his friend.

“Feh. The wench got away from me.” Inuyasha shrugged and made his way over to his usual tree to relax until dinner was ready. The rest of the group went about their normal routines. Sango started some water to boil to make the ramen that Kagome had left in her bag while Miroku conversed with Shippo trying to convince him that Kagome would be fine.

*** With Sesshomaru and Kagome (Kagome’s POV) ***

* Oh shit, what do I do?* Kagome thought.

~ Tell him how edible we think he is! ~

*We! What we! You’re the one that keeps having such perverted thoughts about him!*

~ No, we are having perverted thoughts about him. You forget, I am you, therefore you are having perverted thoughts too. ~ Kagome could hear the smug grin in her beast’s voice.

* Then how do WE get out of this mess?!* Kagome could feel the fear rising, and it only worsened when she didn’t get a response. “Heh heh, well you see Sesshomaru-sama…” Kagome paused to take a deep breath. “Mybeastkindoflikesyou.” Speaking so fast she hoped he wasn’t able to make out what she was saying, she prayed he didn’t kill her on the spot.

** Sesshomaru’s POV **

During Kagome’s little conversation with herself, Sesshomaru was having an inner battle of his own.

~ She wants us. Take her! ~

* Silence beast she is not worthy of this Sesshomaru. *

~ She is the Shikon Miko and a powerful inu-demoness as well. There are none more worthy! Take her! She wants it! ~

* No. I shall chose who we take, now be silent.* Sesshomaru was getting rather irritate at this point. His beast just wouldn’t give up! But what she said next just made matters worse.

“Heh heh, well you see Sesshomaru-sama…” He could smell the fear coming off of her, and his beast started to react to the scent.

~ No! Mate afraid! Calm mate! ~ This new development shocked Sesshomaru to say the least. His beast had decided she was worth to be his mate, and that could be a problem. This revelation was only made worse by then next part of her statement.

“Mybeastkindoflikesyou.” It came out in such a rush that he almost didn’t catch what she said. Unfortunately he did catch it, and that was enough to break his hold on his beast. His eyes changed to a deep red as his beast came into control.

** Kagome’s POV **

* OH MY GOD!* Kagome froze in terror as she saw him lose control. *I’m going to die!*

~ Run you idiot! ~ Called her beast. Luckily that was enough to snap her out of it, and she did as she was told. She ran as fast as she could, and surprisingly enough she was able to keep just enough distance between herself and Sesshomaru to keep him from catching her. The whole time her beast was screaming at her for control. It knew enough not to fight for it in this predicament, Kagome needing all of her concentration to keep the distance between her and her pursuer. Eventually she gave in and let her beast have the reins, seeing how she didn’t think she could keep ahead of him forever. In that moment they switched over the controls they stumbled only for a second, but it was enough. Sesshomaru pounced.

~* Mine! Submit! *~ Growled Sesshomaru’s beast.

This shocked both Kagome and her beast. But it wasn’t enough to stop her. ~* No! Get off! *~ Kagome’s beast growled back.

** Sesshomaru’s POV **

She was pinned to the forest floor, lying on her stomach, and had to have roots digging into her front. Yet she still dared disobey this Sesshomaru! He was angered by this, but his beast was furious. Sesshomaru leaned down putting his lips scant inches from her ear. ~* Mate submit! *~ Sesshomaru wasn’t happy with his beasts outburst, but there wasn’t much he could do. Their current position wasn’t helping with trying to calm his beast any either. The way he was startling her hips all he could think about was turning her over and ripping her clothes off to have his way with her.

** Kagome’s POV **

*Did he just call us his mate?!* To say she was confused was an understatement. She’d started her day off just like any other, then she’d been changed into an inuyoukai without her consent, chased by a feral Inuyasha, and now she had a horny Sesshomaru pinning her to the very uncomfortable ground calling her mate! Her beast was silent for a moment trying to sort through the new information, but quickly came back with a response.

~* I’m not your mate, now get the hell off of me!*~ She snarled at him. How dare he try to make her submit, she’d show him!

~* Not yet, but you will be…*~ Hissed Sesshomaru’s beast in return before fading back into the recesses of Sesshomaru’s mind, giving Sesshomaru back control.
