Chapter Four
Inuyasha-Beast
When Inuyasha saw Sesshomaru carrying Kagome back to the camp his eyes turned red and all he wanted was blood. This taiyoukai was carrying what was his. His mind numbed and his beast took over.
“How dare you carry my female!” growled Inuyasha-beast.
Sesshomaru glared at the hanyou and knew that he was dealing with his inner beast.
“How dare you let her suffer so much without having a care in the world? You say she’s your female, but you have yet to mark her as such. Till that day comes she is not yours, and I will carry her as much as I wish to.” Sesshomaru said.
Kagome was coming awake, but she froze in her spot at Inuyasha’s next words.
“Let the bitch go, before I make you let her go. She’s mine!” Inuyasha-beast said.
Sesshomaru knew that Kagome had woken up, but didn’t let on to it.
“You speak as if she is your property. She’s not, so get over it. She’s not a prize to be won… She’s a person, just as much as the next. Well actually that’s not all together true…” Sesshomaru left off the rest of his sentence.
“What are you speaking about?” Inuyasha-beast asked curious why Sesshomaru was staring at Kagome in such a way.
Sesshomaru was looking at Kagome as he realized exactly what he wanted to tell Inuyasha’s beast. His eyes had softened when he looked down to her.
Kagome, still pretending to be asleep, moved so that she was facing Sesshomaru. She barely opened her eyes and they widened at the look in his eyes. Nobody could see her though, so they all thought she was asleep.
“She’s not like the next person at all…” Sesshomaru said looking into Kagome’s eyes. “She’s someone special. She’s someone to protect from harm and sorrow. She’s someone that deserves respect and kindness. She’s tough, smart, kind, sweet, stronger than most, and very beautiful. She is not Kikyou at all little brother, and I honestly don’t know how you could have ever mistaken her as such. She’s her own person… She’s someone to desire.” Sesshomaru said with heat in his eyes as he stared into Kagome’s shocked eyes.
Inuyasha-beast was pissed off to no end. This stupid half brother of his comes into his territory and thinks he can take what is his. He just wasn’t going to take this laying down.
“Give her back!” Inuyasha-beast yelled.
Sesshomaru broke his gaze with Kagome to look up at Inuyasha and he smiled. “You had your chance to take her and make her your own. Yet you didn’t do so. It’s time for someone else to sweep her off her feet. It’s time for someone to actually give a damn about what happens to her.” Sesshomaru said.
Inuyasha’s beast went back inside of Inuyasha. He knew when he had lost. Kagome was no longer his.
“What do you intend to do Sesshomaru?” Inuyasha asked with hurt in his voice.
Sesshomaru looked back down to Kagome and smiled his first smile in a very long time. “I intend to not only befriend her; I intend to make it perfectly clear that I wish to mate with her.” Sesshomaru said as a shocked Kagome gasped alerting everyone to the simple fact that she was indeed awake.
They all stared at her as Sesshomaru leaned down to rub his cheek against her own while purring deep in his chest. Kagome felt comforted by his presence and didn’t want to move away from him. Sesshomaru moved his head so he could look her in the eyes. He then made everyone gasp in complete shock as he kissed her lightly on the lips. Kagome felt alive for once in his arms. That simple kiss just made her tingle all over and she wished more than anything that he didn’t break it.
Sesshomaru growled and bent back down to capture her lips. He couldn’t help it with the look she was giving him. He kissed her softly and passionately. Then he kissed her harder while he licked her lip for entrance.
Kagome didn’t understand what was going on with her. She opened her mouth to allow him inside. She moaned when she felt his tongue touch hers. She pushed hers into his and felt his fangs.
Sesshomaru felt her tongue touching his fangs as if they were exploring them and he groaned as he felt himself as well as his beast become excited by this simple act. He deepened the kiss and pressed Kagome even more into him.
They were interrupted by none other than Shippo. “Stop it!” he yelled as everyone stared at him.
Sesshomaru glared at the little fox, while Kagome blushed in embarrassment as well as humiliation.
“Put my mother down now Sesshomaru-sama.” Shippo said in a very rude manner.
Sesshomaru did what the fox asked and put down his intended mate.
Kagome looked at Shippo while biting her lip; she honestly didn’t know what to say to him at this moment in time.
“You changed.” was all that Shippo said.
Kagome got down on her knees and held out her arms to him. “Oh Shippo I am so…” she didn’t get to finish her sentence as Shippo took a step back and stared at her with tears running down his face.
“I want my momma back!” Shippo yelled as he turned and ran from the clearing.
