Awake

Did I tell you all I hate my internet service? If not I just did. Also I was put into a headlock after my friend read the last chapter over one character. So, Catalina is not my creation, I am mearly loaning her from a good friend of mine. It also took me three days of begging to get permission to borrow her. Anywho, thank you Patty 530 and KooKooKitty for the review! This chapter is for you two!

Taijina slowly opened her eyes. The light was stinging her eyes and causing her to tear. Her body felt like hell, and she heard voices whispering in the back of her head. Trying to remember what had happen to her. Her eyes popped opened when the memories slammed back into her mind. A blur of a figure was before her, and when her vision adjusted to the light, she saw her mate.

“The pup,” she gasped, as her memory decided to come back full force throwing her into a panic. Bolting up, Taijina was forced back down on the bed by Sesshomaru.

“Is fine,” Sesshomaru told her, making her lay down. “Now relax.”

“How long have I’ve been out,” she asked, crossing her arms, to let him know her displeasure about being stuck in bed.

“About a day,” he informed her, sitting down in a chair next to her bed. Looking into her eyes, he knew an argument was brewing behind her stormy silver eyes. “Do not even worry about the mating ceremony. I do not want to hear a word about it. Mya has it completely under control, and both InuYasha and Kagome are going through their final fittings now. Celina is home, and Ash is hiding somewhere around the castle. Nothing is going to go wrong.”

“Then why do I have this ominous feeling,” she muttered, earning a smirk from Sesshomaru. Taijina loved it when it was just the two of them. Sesshomaru was more open with just her in a room, and she loved every moment of it. Then a healer walked in, and the usual mask slipped into place on his face. Standing, he walked over to her side.

“You always have an ominous feeling,” he whispered for her ears only, then place a kiss on her forehead. “I’ll make sure everything is still running smoothly, and then rub it in you face.”

“You can be such a bastard sometimes,” she muttered as he left the room. “I’m just glad you’re my bastard.”

Celina was laying on the grass staring up at the clouds, letting her mind wander about the pervious events that had lead her to ice her left hand. Letting out a huge sigh she noticed a shadow a crossed her face. Tilting her head back a little bit, she noticed InuYasha staring at her.

“Something wrong Uncle?” she asked as she rolled onto her stomach and sat up, discarding the ice pack to her side.

“Not with me,” he replied, sitting down next to her. “But there is something wrong with you. You aren’t acting like your loud annoying self.”

“I am not annoying!” she huffed, crossing her arms.

“But you still aren’t acting like yourself,” InuYasha replied, staring into his nieces eyes, she avoided his gaze. “I thought we were close.”

“How is the planning for the ceremony going,” Celina asked, trying desperately to change the subject.

“Kagome and my mating ceremony should go on perfectly, and will in three days,” he replied, picking up her discarded ice pack. “Punch a wall?”

“No,” Celina muttered as she stared down at the grass, a blush spreading across her face. “Felt like a wall though.”

“Your brother?” he asked, continues his inquiry. Figuring he would solve her mysterious problem once, he knew whom she punched, after all the person she hit had to be a major part of the problem.

“I wish,” she snorted. Her brother had the nerve to strut in last night an hour after she called, and not tell her where he had been. He did not even give a hint at where he was, or that he cared he left at such a tedious time. What she would not do to hit him once in his smug face for his actions last night.

“Well I don’t think it was one of the guards,” InuYasha said more to himself as he though of whom she could have punched. “You’re unscratched so it wasn’t your father. Couldn’t have been Kagome, your mother, or me. Ash would be ragging on you if you hit her and Mya would have knocked you out. Your not taking servants down now, are you?”

“No!” she shrieked, applaud he would think she would attack a servant out of spite. “You just don’t get it!”

“Get what?” InuYasha replied confused as she got up and stormed away. “HEY! Come back here!”

“You are being dense again,” Sesshomaru informed him, as he walked over to where InuYasha was. He had listened to his brother and daughter’s conversation, too bad InuYasha was in over his head where his daughter was concerned.

“Oh and you know who she punched,” InuYasha sneered as he leapt to his feet, staring down his brother.

“Koga, you dim wit,” Sesshomaru replied, as he walked past him.

“WHAT!?!” InuYasha gaped as he ran after him. “Why would she punch Koga? I mean I know they have had their differences, but it’s little stuff, like yelling and shoving each other into walls.”

“You know nothing about pups and their feelings,” Sesshomaru replied, never faltering in his powerful strides. He refused to inform his brother flat out, of what he knew about what was going on between Koga and Celina.

“Aren’t you pissed she punched another lord? I mean isn’t injuring another lord on your estate an offense and could be cause for war?” InuYasha babbled as his mind went super speed with different scenarios of why Celina’s fist connected with a part of Koga’s person.

“He offended her first,” was all he said as he strolled back into the palace, leaving a stunned InuYasha behind. InuYasha blinked a few times before he ran towards the palace, heading towards Koga’s rooms.

Koga sat on his bed, leaning against the headrest, the room was completely dark. He had locked himself in here to nurse his black eye and wounded ego. Celina had one killer of a left hook and a spiteful mouth. Ginta and Hakkaku refused to stop badgering him with questions of how and why he had a black eye, so he chose to ignore them and lock himself in here. Sitting there staring up and the dark ceiling, his mind still had questions running thru it. Why was she so mad? What had he done to spark her anger? Did he still have a chance?

“Where is he?” he heard the muffled voice coming from the sitting area, connecting three rooms together. His train of thought broke, Koga decided to go out into the sitting area. Opening the door, he dodged a fist aimed at his head from an enraged InuYasha.

“What did you do to her flea bag?!” InuYasha demanded, as Ginta and Hakkaku, whom had been sitting and talking when InuYasha busted into the room, restrained him.

“What are you talking about,” Koga demanded, as he crossed his arms and glared at InuYasha.

“What did you do to Celina to earn that black eye,” InuYasha growled at him, still struggling against Ginta and Hakkaku, both whom nearly let go at InuYasha’s words. Neither wolf had known who gave their lord the black eye until now.

“I wish I knew,” Koga huffed. “Let him go.”

“You better start explaining,” InuYasha demanded, as he got into Koga’s face.

“I can’t explain what I don’t know,” Koga snapped back. “Stop being so dense dog shit.”

“What you say?” InuYasha growled lowly. This started a fight where names where screamed back and forth, until Ginta slipped from the room and retrieved Kagome.

“What’s going on in here?” Kagome demanded to know, as she walked in on InuYasha struggling in a headlock by Koga, who was also giving him a noggie. Both males broke apart and stared at the floor, looking like guilty children caught in the act. “I thought you two were friends now.”

“Doesn’t mean he can go messing around with my niece!” InuYasha screamed, pointing all blame at Koga.

“Stay out of it dog shit!” Koga growled, as they went into another round of name-calling.

“STOP!” Kagome demanded, making sure she was over heard over their loud ruckus, Ginta and Hakkaku slipped out of the room unnoticed. “Both of you grow up. InuYasha Celina is old enough to make her own decision. Besides, I’m sure both of her parents are aware of the situation, and they can handle this more delicately then you, InuYasha.”

“You’re right Sesshomaru should be the one in here pounding on his ugly face,” InuYasha sneered, earning him a glare from Kagome and a growl from Koga.

“Don’t make me regret removing the necklace,” Kagome commented, still glaring. “Now out.”

InuYasha muttered on his way out of the room. Kagome began to follow, but turned back to Koga.

“If you want a relationship with her you should start by apologizing to her,” she advised, and turned to leave again. Koga ran up to her and stopped her before she left the room.

“I still don’t know what I did,” he confessed to her. Looking at him with sympathetic eyes, she let out a small sigh.

“I don’t know the full story,” she started, before looking down the hall to make sure InuYasha was out of earshot. “All I know is she mad about you calling her the wrong name.”

“Thank you,” Koga replied, as she ran from the room. Going back to is room, Koga slammed the door, and plopped on his bed. Running all the pervious events through his head, he tried to recall conversations with her. When did he call her the wrong name? Then it hit him as he bolted up right. He would need more then just an apology for his offense.

“You know you cannot keep me locked in this room forever,” Touga said, as he sat reading a book in Ash’s room. She was currently pacing the room, and Touga chose to interrupt her at the current moment. “Especially since this was once my palace.”

“Oh shut up,” Ash huffed, as she heard a knocking at her door. Throwing it open, Celina marched in. “What now?”

“Urm..” Celina started, she wasn’t sure why she came here, except to escape her Uncle, and to avoid Koga. Moreover, she told herself she was done with running, but she was not going to let Ash know she was running. Her reason for being here was now taking occupancy in a chair in the room. “I want you to tell my Father and Uncle their father is alive once more.”

“What?” Ash gasped, shocked my Celina’s demand. “When the hell did you decided to become a bitch and tell me what to do? Shit, I barely let your mother tell me what to do. You should know by now I don’t do anything I don’t choose to do.”

“Oh well I tried,” Celina shrugged as she sat down next to Touga. “So, grandfather, was your last battle to save InuYasha’s mother as gruesome as my father told me?”

“Hold up!” Ash shouted, as two eyes shifted to stare at her. Letting out a sigh, she knew the change in Celina’s tone met something. “You’re running again.”

“Bitch!” Celina cursed, as her jaw dropped. “You weren’t supposed to know!”

“Well know I do,” Ash replied, dragging Celina to her feet. “You should learn not to be so predictable. Now go face your foes and be the strong Youkai you want to be.”

“What,” Celina shouted as she was pushed out of the door and it shut behind her. Then the door opened once more and Ash poked out her head.

“He’ll be my guest at the mating ceremony. Be one hell of a mating gift, no?” Ash said, and then slammed the door in Celina’s face once more.
