Finding a mate
"I don´t understand. What things should we set clear between us?" Inuyasha asked confused.
"There are very important things we need to set clear.
So, what do you know about demons and their mating rituals?" Sesshomaru wanted to know.
"I don´t know much about it, except that wolf-demons and dog-demons are mating for life. Other than that I know nothing." Inuyasha told Sesshomaru.
"You are right that both dog- and wolfdemons are mating for life.
But there is much more to it. Do you know how a demon recognises his destined mate?
It´s actually pretty simple.
You know the saying that eyes are the window to the soul and the first time a demon looks his mate straight in the eyes, he gets a certain feeling inside him, one that he has never felt before and one that he will never feel again with another one.
When demons have that feeling inside them they know that they have found their mate.
I have already been here on this island for so many years, that I almost lost the hope of ever finding my destined mate." Sesshomaru informed Inuysha in an almost sad voice.
"It´s really nice that you are telling me all this and I don´t want to be unfriendly or anything but what does that have to do with me?" Inuyasha questioned.
"It has everything to do with you.
You see, when we heard the helicopter arriving we made us on our way to see who the new inmate would be.
And when I saw you laying on the ground and looked you deep in the eyes, I got that cetain feeling inside me and I knew that I could stop my search.
I knew that I had finally found my mate!"
