The Plan
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So you two are going out now? Wow! You work miracles on guys,” Sango exasperated.
“Yeah, well, I wasn’t too happy about everything at first. Only because how he was acting. His dad almost flipped out on him in the end. But after the talk at my house, I felt better about it. We’re supposed to go out to lunch today, but I don’t know when he’s supposed to be here.”
Kagome back down at the account information on her desk. “I kind of wish he was here now so I didn’t have to do all this work.”
Sango laughed and pulled out a binder. “I know what you mean. Kouga’s being rather bothersome today. I take it he heard that you have a boyfriend now?” she asked.
“No. I blew him off last night. Right before you called he did. He was trying to get me to go dancing with him last night. I refused so he tried to ask me if I wanted to hang out and watch movies. I denied him again and told him Ayame would love to, but he refused and said he’d just go to bed then. I think the poor boy was heart broken,” Kagome joked.
They both shared a good laugh and then got back to work. They chatted about when Miroku was going to finally just ask Sango out and what Sesshoumaru was like, just to satisfy Sango’s curiosity.
Kagome had just finished the account she had been working on and pulling up a few more accounts that seemed to have some kind of problem in them when her intercom buzzed. She sighed and told Sango to answer it for her.
“What is it Eri?” Sango asked.
“There’s a Mr. Tashio here for Kagome. Should I send him in?” a soft voice asked.
Kagome pushed the button. “Go ahead. Thanks Eri.”
She straightened up her desk and began to close up some things on the computer. “Why don’t you go down to your office and work on Kouga’s account some more. If he decides to bother you, tell him I said to back off. I’ll most likely be back in an hour and a half, so you come back up here then. We’ll work on that crap then, alright?”
Sango nodded as Sesshoumaru entered the office. He glanced around and turned his attention to Kagome.
“Ready to go?” he asked.
Sango’s mouth almost dropped to the ground. Her eyes bulged as she stared at him. “Kagome,” she whispered. “Did you know you’re dating the richest and most eligible guy in Japan?”
Kagome chuckled and patted the top of Sango’s head as she came around her desk. “Of course I did. I’m not stupid. I’ll see you later Sango.”
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at the two as Kagome looped her arm around his.
“Don’t worry about it. Shall we?” she asked.
“Indeed.”
They left a flabbergasted woman sitting in Kagome’s office and headed out the door. They entered the elevator only for Kagome to bust up laughing.
“What is so funny?” Sesshoumaru asked.
Kagome forced herself to calm down and stood up. “Never mind. You’d have to be there to understand.”
Kagome found herself sitting across the table at Kaugra’s prize restaurant, Billowing Winds. The blues and purples around them blended beautifully together.
“I figured you’d like this place. The owner, Kaugra, owed me a few favors,” Sesshoumaru said.
Kagome almost laughed at this. “Kaugra always owes some one a favor.”
“You know her?” he asked.
“Uh-huh. We’re good friends. She’s in Paris right now with her mate. They’re celebrating three hundred years together,” she said.
Sesshoumaru smirked. Of course she’d know Kaugra. She only dealt with the best, and Kagome was of the best now a-days. He wondered momentarily how long Kagome knew Kaugra for, but soon dropped the thought as a waiter came by to take their orders.
“Good day. My name is Shippo and I’ll be your waiter for today. Would you like anything to drink?” he asked.
“A glass of red wine please,” Sesshoumaru ordered.
“My normal, Shippo. Thanks.”
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at the woman. She shrugged as the red headed man named Shippo walked off.
“And how would he know your normal?” he asked.
“Shippo’s the only one to serve me. Kaugra made sure of it because I’ve known Shippo since he was still a pup. I took care of him most of his life. But that’s just how things are, you know?” she asked, glancing down at the menu.
“Indeed. You are like a replacement mother then?” he asked.
Kagome’s lips thin out of anger. “No,” she bit out. “I never replaced anyone.”
“I did not mean to offend. I thought it an innocent question,” Sesshoumaru offered as an apology.
“That’s because you don’t understand the relationship behind it all. But that’s not your fault. You weren’t there when it happened, so I don’t expect you to understand. Enough about Shippo though. How did you meet Kaugra?” she asked him, trying to rid the tension and anger she felt inside of herself.
“Through Hitten. He used to be a guard at the castle back before the humans took over. It was something of a surprise to see him bring a woman along with him. Everyone thought he was an eccentric.”
Kagome out right laughed at this. “You could say the same for Kaugra. And when we met Hitten, we thought that he was so into guys neither of us even gave him a passing glance. I became quick friends with him though and Kaugra fell for him harder then a boulder falling over a fifty foot cliff. But I was happy for her when it happened.”
Kagome smiled kindly thinking back to when she meet the overly feminine thunder demon. He was into cloth and the intricate steps of dance. Kaugra was only interested in traveling and killing any in her way. They made the perfect match, in her opinion, by balancing out each other.
Sesshoumaru smirked again and watched as Shippo brought both their drinks over to their tables.
“Here you go Sir, Kagome. Would you like anything else?” Shippo asked while placing the glasses on the table.
“You can bring my normal out whenever. Thanks Shippo.”
She smiled up to him as he wrote down her order. Sesshoumaru folded up his menu and handed it to the young man. “I’ll have the Salmon Tar-Tar.”
Shippo nodded and wrote it down as he walked off to get the order to the chef.
“So, who else do you know?” he asked Kagome, now interested in how many people, small and big, she knew.
“Well, there’s Sango, who you met at the office. Then Miroku, who works with her. They manage the account files, or tries to, anyway. Kouga makes it a little difficult for them. Of course there’s Kouga. He’s an alright guy, if you get past his possessive attitude. Yura of course. She’s the owner of Shippin’s, but works at Midnight Oasis for fun. Kanna is the door-woman for Midnight Oasis. She gets me in for free there, you know?
“Uhm, there’s Kirara and Kilala. They run Twin Organization. So original, isn’t it?” Kagome chuckled at this and then continued. “Then you have Bankoutso and Jakoutso. I met them on one of my trips to self explorations I’ve had in the past. They kind of just stuck to me ever since. They run a small floral shop downtown. The cutie of the group is Rin. She works with the twins as their assistant. Then there’s Ayame of course. She works for me and tries to go after Kouga. Poor girl can’t catch his eye though. Stupid wolf doesn’t know what’s good for him.
“Then there’s Naraku. I try to avoid him as much as I possible can. I don’t like him to much, but he’s Kanna’s and Kaugra’s brother, so of course we have to deal with him every once in a while. He’s the owner of that stupid computer company in Kyoto. We all know Kikyou, but we don’t talk to her anymore. She kind of decided to blow us off after meeting a rich guy. Told us that he was better to spend her time with because he bought her nice things.”
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at this. “Please elaborate on this.”
Kagome gave him a questioning look but decided that it didn’t matter one way or another. “Well, a few years ago, she was a permanent figure in our group. She was loyal and kind. Then all of a sudden she wasn’t there when we called her or went over to her house. We all knew she went through boyfriends faster then you could blink, so we figured that this was another one of those boyfriends. That in a few days or weeks she’d be back to hanging out with us and calling us. Well, days turned into weeks. And soon weeks turned into months. Nobody knew what happened to her and we had given up completely on her. Everybody just stopped trying to get a hold of her.
“And then one day, out of the blue, she was in my office. She told me that she had something she wanted to talk about with me. That it was my choice, wither I told everyone else or not. She told me of this guy she had met in some subway and how she’d been spending as much time with him as she could. She told me he was almost filthy rich and as soon as his father stepped down from the family business, he would be and she’d be right there.
“She went on saying that she was going to make him fall for her and fall hard. That she wanted to be more then just a quick fuck from random guys and she deserved to have him and his money. Then she told me that we weren’t good enough for her anymore because we didn’t buy her diamonds and new cars.
“I told her that wasn’t what friendship was based off, and love wasn’t either. She laughed and told me love had nothing to do with it. That I was foolish to believe in such a notion after what had happened to me…” she trailed off and cleared her throat. A blush quickly spread on her cheeks and she pushed herself forward.
“I told her that if that was the way it was then, that she was to get her ass out of my office and never contact me again until she realized that what she was doing was wrong. She shunned me and left. Nobodies even bothered to talk to her since, but they don’t know the entire story. They don’t know what she said about my life and that they weren’t good enough for her. I decided they don’t need to go on a killing spree or feel like their hearts were torn out.”
Sesshoumaru nodded. “I understand why you did not tell them the whole thing. Some of it was personal to you and the other parts would have devastated them. You had every right to with hold information from them. I am glad you told me this story though.”
Kagome threw him another questioning glance before seeing Shippo coming with their food. “Do you mind explaining to me why you are glad I told you this?”
“As soon as our food is here and your friend is gone, I’ll explain it to you.”
Shippo reached the table and smiled at Kagome. “Here you two go. I hope you enjoy your meals. By the way Kagome, Kouga’s here. He asked to see you. Do you want me to tell him to disappear because you’re in a meeting?”
Kagome chuckled. “I’m not in a meeting Shippo. Do you mind Sesshoumaru? It could be important.”
Sesshoumaru shook his head as Shippo gave him a critical look. “It is fine by me.”
“Go get him,” she sighed.
Shippo nodded and quickly placed their food in front of them and hurried off to the entrance to get said demon. Sesshoumaru glanced at Kagome.
“Is there anything I need to worry about with him?” he asked, waving a hand at Shippo and Kouga.
“Kouga? I don’t know. He seems to believe I’m dating him even though I’m not. Stupid wolf doesn’t understand what ‘friends’ mean. He’s blind to Ayame’s affections too.”
Sesshoumaru’s eyes hardened at this. “I will remember to keep an eye on him then. I was speaking of Shippo though.”
Kagome’s mouth formed an ‘O’ and then she laughed to herself. “No! Shippo was probably just trying to read you. You know, try to see if you’re the right kind of guy for me. You are the first date I’ve been on since traveling back in time, and he knows it. He’s only just looking out for my best interests,” she answered.
Sesshoumaru lightened up slightly at this. “I see.”
Kouga and Shippo had made it back to their table and Kouga sat down without waiting for an invitation. Shippo glanced at Kagome, who winked at him. He smiled and disappeared.
“Kouga, what is it?” she asked, turning her attention to him.
“Why weren’t you in the office?” he asked. “Sango told me you went out to lunch.”
“And that’s what I’m doing. I’m out to lunch with my date. What’s so important that you hunted me down?” she asked again.
“Date?!? But you’re my woman. You can’t be on a date.” He turned to face Sesshoumaru, who was now glaring at him more fiercely then Kagome could ever recall seeing. “Who the hell is this?”
“I am Sesshoumaru Tashio. Who are you?” he growled.
“Kouga Wolf and this is my woman, so back off. I’ve known her longer then you,” Kouga growled back.
Kagome cleared her throat, catching both men’s attention. “Kouga, I am a grown woman, and I believe Sesshoumaru has known me longer then you have. I’m on a date with him, as he is my boyfriend. Now, please, disappear if this visit isn’t about the building burning down.”
Kouga shot a glare at Sesshoumaru, but decided that angering Kagome wasn’t on his to-do list. “Actually, I wanted to go over a few account things with you. I don’t think they can wait.”
Kagome glared at him. “I think it can wait Kouga. What would have happened if I was in a meeting with an important client? They would decide that joining a company with an incompetent employee was not in their best interest and cut all ties with me. I can’t afford that, and neither can you, because that would cost you a job. I’ll see you at the office. And don’t ever do this again.”
“But Kagome! I really don’t think this can wait. I think you should take a look at this!” He pulled out a few papers and handed them over to her. “Since this morning we’ve order at least a good ten grand worth of material from Slashers & Co. I think that someone is trying to rip you off. We were going to stop ordering from there because the material didn’t work for our products.”
Kagome rolled her eyes and slapped her forehead. “Why do I get the stupid people on my case?” she mumbled to herself.
Sesshoumaru smirked at this and Kouga’s eyes widened. He never remembered his Kagome thinking that about anyone. She saw everyone as an equal.
“I made that order, Kouga. And if you were at work this morning, like you were supposed to be, then you would have known that. And I’ve made an agreement with the owner personally that will get us what need,” she answered.
“But nobody gets a personal conference with that prick. He won’t let them,” Kouga retorted.
Sesshoumaru growled. “You will respect me, mutt.”
Kouga glared at him. “What the fucks up your ass?”
“Kouga!” Kagome hissed at him. “Shut your mouth and watch what you say to Sesshoumaru. He is the owner of Slashers & Co. You will treat him better then that. Now go to work. I’ll deal with you when I get back.”
Kouga’s eyes widened more. He stood up without thinking about it and ended up disappearing as Shippo appeared to escort him out of the restaurant. Kagome shook her head and sighed.
“I’m sorry about that. He’s really not the brightest person out there,” she apologized.
“It is not your fault. He should have been more respectful to both of us. More so you. You are his boss after all.”
Kagome nodded. “Yeah, but no matter what I do, he doesn’t listen to me worth anything. It’s embarrassing because he does that all the time in front of clients. Even going so far as pulling me into his arms. Then they start questioning my ethic morals. I’ve lost a few clients because of him. He’s on the verge of losing his job as it is. The twins have agreed to take him on because he’s the third best accountant that works for me. Sango’s top, followed closely by Miroku.
“But you want to know the worst part of him being third best? He comes no where near as well as Miroku. He’s so far behind, that he could be my mediocre accountant. You know the type that just gets a cubical and not an office.”
Sesshoumaru gave a slight snort. “I don’t doubt it one minute. He seems as unprofessional as Inu Yasha can be. I’m surprised you didn’t fire him already. Especially after that display he just gave us. It was idiotic and rude.”
Kagome smiled. “Well, that’s Kouga to a tee. But you were promising me a reason for wanting to know about what happened to Kikyou?” she asked, just remembering the conversation she had right before that.
“Ah, yes. I had almost forgotten about that. I believe I know this Kikyou. You might not like what you hear, no more then I not liking what you told me. Do you promise not to be mad?” he asked her.
“My curiosity is to piqued to be mad at you,” she answered. “So, why did you want to know about that?”
Sesshoumaru thought it over for a minute while taking a sip of wine before beginning. “I was the one that she had met in that subway. She tried to seduce me more then once. She was constantly trying to get a hold of me and coming up to my office. She would get in by telling my assistant that she was my fiancée. I didn’t find this part out until later, and quickly put a stop to it.
“When she realized she couldn’t get to me, she moved to my brother. He fell for it as pure adoration and admiration. He didn’t think anything of it and now he’s been with her for two and a half years. He spoils her to much. But he doesn’t see her when he’s not around.
“She tries to get with me constantly. Not only that, but I believe she’s been cheating on Inu Yasha ever since a few months into their relationship. I had warned Inu Yasha to keep an eye on her and not spend too much on her, but he just took as a form of envy. Maybe you can persuade him.”
Now it was Kagome’s turn to snort. “I doubt it. If anything, I being with you will make Kikyou back off some from you, but if she’s still the way she was when I knew her, she’s got more then one side relationship. She’s probably even got one relationship where at least three guys are involved in it. I’m not getting into Inu Yasha’s affairs, but I will get into Kikyou’s. My friends and I live to pay Kikyou back for the pain and hurt she’s caused us.”
Sesshoumaru smirked grew just a bit bigger. “I think it’s time you meet Inu Yasha’s girlfriend. Dinner tonight?” he asked, snapping his fingers above his head to get Shippo’s attention.
“Indeed. Will you be picking me up?” she asked.
“Of course. I couldn’t let something so precious escape my grasp by getting lost out in the country.”
Shippo appeared before their table and threw a quick glance at Kagome, who had a small blush on her cheeks. “Careful Kagome. You might turn red permanently. May I help you Sir?”
“Check please. I think we’re done here,” Sesshoumaru said.
“Thanks Shippo. Everything was really good.”
Shippo smiled widely at her. “I’m coming to see you at the office after work. Ok?”
“Sure. Do you know when Kaugra’s supposed to be back?” Kagome asked him.
“Today. They got back three hours ago. They were planning on bothering you into going dancing with everyone later tonight. You’re coming, right?” he asked hopefully.
“Most likely. I haven’t seen those two in a week. I’ll see you later Shippo.” Kagome waved as Shippo left.
Sesshoumaru wrote out a check and stood up. “I’ll come with you tonight, if you don’t mind.”
Kagome’s eyes twinkled with a mischievous light. “You can’t stand to be without me, can you Sesshoumaru?”
He rolled his eyes and walked ahead of her, causing her to quickly hurry up to reach him. She smiled as she caught up to him and walked beside him. “Don’t deny it. You know you can’t.”
Sesshoumaru glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes. “I believe you are trying to bait me.”
Kagome chuckled and rapped her arm around his. “I don’t think so. Just teasing you is all.”
Kagome sat in her desk with Kouga across from her. He had been trying to sweet talk her and get on her good side, but Sesshoumaru sat on her couch over by the bar glaring at him. He kept glancing at her from time to time.
“Kouga, what you did today was not acceptable. It was nowhere near professional at all and you know it. Not only did you accuse me of ripping my company, not ours, off, you insulted my date on more then one occasion and insulted him on running his company. You made yourself look like a complete fool and made me look like I was a complete fool for not firing you right there on the spot. How are we going to fix this?” Kagome asked.
He shot a glare at Sesshoumaru and then looked back at Kagome. He just knew this talk had something to do with Sesshoumaru. This guy wasn’t going to last long, because Kagome would see her mistake and come running back to him. He’d play this little game for now. But Sesshoumaru was going to get his.
Kouga straightened up a little and turned his gaze back to Kagome. “I’m really sorry Kagome. Eri told me you weren’t in and I couldn’t find Sango or Miroku so I figured you had went to the Billowing Winds for your normal lunch. I didn’t know you put that order in. Normally Hojo does that, and I couldn’t find him either to ask about it. So I thought I’d find you and ask.”
Kagome huffed. “So you thought you’d insult my date and my new business partner while you were at it?”
“I am sorry for doing that. I do not know what had coming over me. If there is anything I can do to make up for it, I will gladly do it,” Kouga bowed his head.
Kagome glanced at Sesshoumaru, who rolled his eyes, obviously telling her that Kouga was playing at something or another. She in turned glared at Kouga. “You will apologize for making me look like a fool to Sesshoumaru and you will call him Mr. Tashio. Then you will go downstairs and work as hard as you possibly can without bothering Miroku or Sango. Send Sango up while you’re at it.”
Kouga nodded his head and turned to face Sesshoumaru. “I am truly sorry Mr. Tashio. Please forgive me for making a fool out of Miss. Higurashi and myself. It was not my intentions.”
Sesshoumaru nodded and Kagome waved to Kouga, giving an obvious dismissal. Kouga obeyed and quickly left the room. Sesshoumaru stood up and walked towards Kagome.
“I must get back to the office. We still have dinner tonight, correct?”
She stood up and walked around the desk. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I go? After all, I’ll be meeting Inu Yasha’s girlfriend, won’t I?” she asked, a smirk forming on her lips.
Sesshoumaru’s face mimicked her as he swept down to kiss her soundly on the lips. “I shall see you later then.”
With that, he left the office leaving Kagome slightly flustered. She stood staring at the door in a daze. Her fingers moved up to touch the spot his lips had been. She hadn’t expected him to kiss her on the lips. Maybe on the check, like he had just like last night, or on the hand, but not the lips.
And this was how Sango found her not even a minute after Sesshoumaru left.
“Kagome, are you ok?” Sango asked. “Kouga told me to come up.”
Kagome’s dazed eyes slowly slid from the spot she had been staring at to Sango. Slight recognition shone in her eyes. “He actually kissed me,” she whispered, as if she spoke it any louder the spell would be broken and she’d find out he hadn’t done it.
Sango’s eyes widened. “Oh my. That’s something to celebrate! Kagome! Oh Kami!”
Sango embraced Kagome and started to hop up and down.
After a moment of this, Kagome managed to wiggle herself out of Sango’s embrace. “There’s a lot more that I found out today too Sango. You’re not going to like a lot of it, but it’s for the better that I tell you all of this.”
Kagome went and sat down at her desk. She sighed and leaned her head back to look up at the ceiling. “I didn’t tell you all of what Kikyou had said to me. One, because I didn’t want people to go on a killing spree, and two because some people would feel like their hearts were torn out and they were dying by what she had said. I hope you understand in the end why I with held this from you and the others. I’m going to tell them tonight when we all get together during the welcome back party.
“Kikyou told me that she was leaving us behind because we couldn’t buy her the riches she so wanted. The ones she always said she deserved. I tried to explain to her that that’s not how friendships worked, nor love for that matter; she told me that love was just a dream. It meant nothing and it got you nowhere. She told me to look where love got me.
“I told her to leave and don’t look back until she had her head on straight. She told me it was on straight and I was all cocky-eyed. That we all were for letting fairytales of love go to our heads. She told me not to ever wait up for her to call because it plain out wasn’t happening. Then she left. That was the end of it.”
Sango stood up and started pacing back and forth. “That is complete and utter crap! I’ll KILL that damn bitch if I ever see her again. You hear me? I’LL FUCKING RIP HER THROAT RIGHT OUT!!!”
“Sango, sit down and shut up. I’m not done telling you about what I found out today. You have to keep a cool head because I’m going to get her back for all of us.”
Sango sat back down and glared at her friend, imagining it was Kikyou instead. “Well, what the fuck is it?”
Kagome quirked an eyebrow and sighed when Sango scowled at her.
“I talked to Sesshoumaru about it because we got into this conversation of who we both knew. When I came across her name and told him how we didn’t talk anymore, he asked me to tell him why. So I complied and then there was an interruption right after he told me that he’d explain more after Shippo dropped off our food, which he was doing that moment.
“Anyway, he told me that the man she had met in the subway that day was him. But he tried to keep her away from him. She even went as far as telling his personal assistant that she was his fiancée to get into his office. Well, when he found that out, he almost freaked out and made sure that stopped. Soon, she realized that Sesshoumaru wasn’t going to look at him and moved on to his brother.
“You know my new agent? Anyway, he began to spoil her. Bought her everything she asked for without a second thought. He tried to warn Inu Yasha that Kikyou was cheating on him and trying to get with him. Inu Yasha just chalked it up to envy of what he had. Sesshoumaru gave up.
“But he’s hoping that the both of us can get Kikyou’s scheming ways out in the open and show Inu Yasha what a whore she really is. But that’s all we can do though. Just plan and go through with it. We have to hope on Kikyou slipping up more than once for Inu Yasha to really start seeing. To plant the seed of doubt in other words.”
Sango smirked evilly at this. “I like the sound of this plan. It sounds smarter then the rest of us could think up. I believe that the gang will smile and share and evil laugh tonight. Kaugra and Hitten will chalk it up to the best ‘welcome home’ party ever and try to dare people to come up with something better.”
Kagome smiled slightly and nodded at Sango. “Of course she’s going to say that. She can’t control those impulses around the gang.”
They both shared a good laugh as a knock came at the door.
Kagome called for the person to come in, and the door opened, revealing Shippo.
“Hey Kagome, Sango. I’m done with work and thought I’d come tell you the craziest thing that happened at work today,” Shippo said, walking over to the seat next to Sango.
Sango glanced questioningly at Shippo. “What’s that?” she asked.
“Kagome was on a date!” he almost shouted.
The two girls shared a good laugh again. Sango dashed away a stray tear before they settled down.
“I was Shippo. That was Sesshoumaru. You know the one that left me all those years ago.”
Shippo’s eyes widened. “But Kagome! What if he leaves you again! You’re just setting yourself up for another heart break. I can’t watch you go through that again!”
“Shut up twerp. He’s Courting her. He can’t just leave her unless she decides another Courtier is the better choice for her,” Sango assured.
“And Kouga will not find out about that part. I am a Lady. I can’t refuse any Courtier at this point. I think the Court will soon get involved once they find out I’m being Courted by the next Western Lord,” Kagome stated.
Shippo paled more. “You mean that was the Sesshoumaru. Oh man! I’m lucky I’m still alive. So are you!”
Kagome laughed heartily at this. Sango stared at Shippo, waiting for an explanation.
“Sesshoumaru’s the most fierce, most unforgiving demon ever. He can kill you without even moving a muscle. I know because I’ve heard stories from Kagome. Tell her!”
Kagome sighed. “He moved muscles Shippo. He was just to fast for anyone to follow. But he could do it before you blinked your eye. Shit, I think once he killed someone before my eyelid was all the way up. But none of that is important. What’s important is that the love of my life is back in my life. I’m truly happy again.”
Sango had paled visibly as well after hearing this. “Are you sure he’s safe to be around if he’s that fast and that good?”
Kagome quirked and eyebrow. “Are you sure Miroku’s good to be around if he keeps grabbing your ass?”
Sango sighed. “Good point. I guess he’s got to be good if you make that simile.”
“How about we call it a day? Tell Miroku, Kouga and Ayame they can go home to and to meet at my place for the party. Tell them big news. I’ll take Shippo with me.”
Sango nodded before taking off.
The Plan
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So you two are going out now? Wow! You work miracles on guys,” Sango exasperated.
“Yeah, well, I wasn’t too happy about everything at first. Only because how he was acting. His dad almost flipped out on him in the end. But after the talk at my house, I felt better about it. We’re supposed to go out to lunch today, but I don’t know when he’s supposed to be here.”
Kagome back down at the account information on her desk. “I kind of wish he was here now so I didn’t have to do all this work.”
Sango laughed and pulled out a binder. “I know what you mean. Kouga’s being rather bothersome today. I take it he heard that you have a boyfriend now?” she asked.
“No. I blew him off last night. Right before you called he did. He was trying to get me to go dancing with him last night. I refused so he tried to ask me if I wanted to hang out and watch movies. I denied him again and told him Ayame would love to, but he refused and said he’d just go to bed then. I think the poor boy was heart broken,” Kagome joked.
They both shared a good laugh and then got back to work. They chatted about when Miroku was going to finally just ask Sango out and what Sesshoumaru was like, just to satisfy Sango’s curiosity.
Kagome had just finished the account she had been working on and pulling up a few more accounts that seemed to have some kind of problem in them when her intercom buzzed. She sighed and told Sango to answer it for her.
“What is it Eri?” Sango asked.
“There’s a Mr. Tashio here for Kagome. Should I send him in?” a soft voice asked.
Kagome pushed the button. “Go ahead. Thanks Eri.”
She straightened up her desk and began to close up some things on the computer. “Why don’t you go down to your office and work on Kouga’s account some more. If he decides to bother you, tell him I said to back off. I’ll most likely be back in an hour and a half, so you come back up here then. We’ll work on that crap then, alright?”
Sango nodded as Sesshoumaru entered the office. He glanced around and turned his attention to Kagome.
“Ready to go?” he asked.
Sango’s mouth almost dropped to the ground. Her eyes bulged as she stared at him. “Kagome,” she whispered. “Did you know you’re dating the richest and most eligible guy in Japan?”
Kagome chuckled and patted the top of Sango’s head as she came around her desk. “Of course I did. I’m not stupid. I’ll see you later Sango.”
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at the two as Kagome looped her arm around his.
“Don’t worry about it. Shall we?” she asked.
“Indeed.”
They left a flabbergasted woman sitting in Kagome’s office and headed out the door. They entered the elevator only for Kagome to bust up laughing.
“What is so funny?” Sesshoumaru asked.
Kagome forced herself to calm down and stood up. “Never mind. You’d have to be there to understand.”
Kagome found herself sitting across the table at Kaugra’s prize restaurant, Billowing Winds. The blues and purples around them blended beautifully together.
“I figured you’d like this place. The owner, Kaugra, owed me a few favors,” Sesshoumaru said.
Kagome almost laughed at this. “Kaugra always owes some one a favor.”
“You know her?” he asked.
“Uh-huh. We’re good friends. She’s in Paris right now with her mate. They’re celebrating three hundred years together,” she said.
Sesshoumaru smirked. Of course she’d know Kaugra. She only dealt with the best, and Kagome was of the best now a-days. He wondered momentarily how long Kagome knew Kaugra for, but soon dropped the thought as a waiter came by to take their orders.
“Good day. My name is Shippo and I’ll be your waiter for today. Would you like anything to drink?” he asked.
“A glass of red wine please,” Sesshoumaru ordered.
“My normal, Shippo. Thanks.”
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at the woman. She shrugged as the red headed man named Shippo walked off.
“And how would he know your normal?” he asked.
“Shippo’s the only one to serve me. Kaugra made sure of it because I’ve known Shippo since he was still a pup. I took care of him most of his life. But that’s just how things are, you know?” she asked, glancing down at the menu.
“Indeed. You are like a replacement mother then?” he asked.
Kagome’s lips thin out of anger. “No,” she bit out. “I never replaced anyone.”
“I did not mean to offend. I thought it an innocent question,” Sesshoumaru offered as an apology.
“That’s because you don’t understand the relationship behind it all. But that’s not your fault. You weren’t there when it happened, so I don’t expect you to understand. Enough about Shippo though. How did you meet Kaugra?” she asked him, trying to rid the tension and anger she felt inside of herself.
“Through Hitten. He used to be a guard at the castle back before the humans took over. It was something of a surprise to see him bring a woman along with him. Everyone thought he was an eccentric.”
Kagome out right laughed at this. “You could say the same for Kaugra. And when we met Hitten, we thought that he was so into guys neither of us even gave him a passing glance. I became quick friends with him though and Kaugra fell for him harder then a boulder falling over a fifty foot cliff. But I was happy for her when it happened.”
Kagome smiled kindly thinking back to when she meet the overly feminine thunder demon. He was into cloth and the intricate steps of dance. Kaugra was only interested in traveling and killing any in her way. They made the perfect match, in her opinion, by balancing out each other.
Sesshoumaru smirked again and watched as Shippo brought both their drinks over to their tables.
“Here you go Sir, Kagome. Would you like anything else?” Shippo asked while placing the glasses on the table.
“You can bring my normal out whenever. Thanks Shippo.”
She smiled up to him as he wrote down her order. Sesshoumaru folded up his menu and handed it to the young man. “I’ll have the Salmon Tar-Tar.”
Shippo nodded and wrote it down as he walked off to get the order to the chef.
“So, who else do you know?” he asked Kagome, now interested in how many people, small and big, she knew.
“Well, there’s Sango, who you met at the office. Then Miroku, who works with her. They manage the account files, or tries to, anyway. Kouga makes it a little difficult for them. Of course there’s Kouga. He’s an alright guy, if you get past his possessive attitude. Yura of course. She’s the owner of Shippin’s, but works at Midnight Oasis for fun. Kanna is the door-woman for Midnight Oasis. She gets me in for free there, you know?
“Uhm, there’s Kirara and Kilala. They run Twin Organization. So original, isn’t it?” Kagome chuckled at this and then continued. “Then you have Bankoutso and Jakoutso. I met them on one of my trips to self explorations I’ve had in the past. They kind of just stuck to me ever since. They run a small floral shop downtown. The cutie of the group is Rin. She works with the twins as their assistant. Then there’s Ayame of course. She works for me and tries to go after Kouga. Poor girl can’t catch his eye though. Stupid wolf doesn’t know what’s good for him.
“Then there’s Naraku. I try to avoid him as much as I possible can. I don’t like him to much, but he’s Kanna’s and Kaugra’s brother, so of course we have to deal with him every once in a while. He’s the owner of that stupid computer company in Kyoto. We all know Kikyou, but we don’t talk to her anymore. She kind of decided to blow us off after meeting a rich guy. Told us that he was better to spend her time with because he bought her nice things.”
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at this. “Please elaborate on this.”
Kagome gave him a questioning look but decided that it didn’t matter one way or another. “Well, a few years ago, she was a permanent figure in our group. She was loyal and kind. Then all of a sudden she wasn’t there when we called her or went over to her house. We all knew she went through boyfriends faster then you could blink, so we figured that this was another one of those boyfriends. That in a few days or weeks she’d be back to hanging out with us and calling us. Well, days turned into weeks. And soon weeks turned into months. Nobody knew what happened to her and we had given up completely on her. Everybody just stopped trying to get a hold of her.
“And then one day, out of the blue, she was in my office. She told me that she had something she wanted to talk about with me. That it was my choice, wither I told everyone else or not. She told me of this guy she had met in some subway and how she’d been spending as much time with him as she could. She told me he was almost filthy rich and as soon as his father stepped down from the family business, he would be and she’d be right there.
“She went on saying that she was going to make him fall for her and fall hard. That she wanted to be more then just a quick fuck from random guys and she deserved to have him and his money. Then she told me that we weren’t good enough for her anymore because we didn’t buy her diamonds and new cars.
“I told her that wasn’t what friendship was based off, and love wasn’t either. She laughed and told me love had nothing to do with it. That I was foolish to believe in such a notion after what had happened to me…” she trailed off and cleared her throat. A blush quickly spread on her cheeks and she pushed herself forward.
“I told her that if that was the way it was then, that she was to get her ass out of my office and never contact me again until she realized that what she was doing was wrong. She shunned me and left. Nobodies even bothered to talk to her since, but they don’t know the entire story. They don’t know what she said about my life and that they weren’t good enough for her. I decided they don’t need to go on a killing spree or feel like their hearts were torn out.”
Sesshoumaru nodded. “I understand why you did not tell them the whole thing. Some of it was personal to you and the other parts would have devastated them. You had every right to with hold information from them. I am glad you told me this story though.”
Kagome threw him another questioning glance before seeing Shippo coming with their food. “Do you mind explaining to me why you are glad I told you this?”
“As soon as our food is here and your friend is gone, I’ll explain it to you.”
Shippo reached the table and smiled at Kagome. “Here you two go. I hope you enjoy your meals. By the way Kagome, Kouga’s here. He asked to see you. Do you want me to tell him to disappear because you’re in a meeting?”
Kagome chuckled. “I’m not in a meeting Shippo. Do you mind Sesshoumaru? It could be important.”
Sesshoumaru shook his head as Shippo gave him a critical look. “It is fine by me.”
“Go get him,” she sighed.
Shippo nodded and quickly placed their food in front of them and hurried off to the entrance to get said demon. Sesshoumaru glanced at Kagome.
“Is there anything I need to worry about with him?” he asked, waving a hand at Shippo and Kouga.
“Kouga? I don’t know. He seems to believe I’m dating him even though I’m not. Stupid wolf doesn’t understand what ‘friends’ mean. He’s blind to Ayame’s affections too.”
Sesshoumaru’s eyes hardened at this. “I will remember to keep an eye on him then. I was speaking of Shippo though.”
Kagome’s mouth formed an ‘O’ and then she laughed to herself. “No! Shippo was probably just trying to read you. You know, try to see if you’re the right kind of guy for me. You are the first date I’ve been on since traveling back in time, and he knows it. He’s only just looking out for my best interests,” she answered.
Sesshoumaru lightened up slightly at this. “I see.”
Kouga and Shippo had made it back to their table and Kouga sat down without waiting for an invitation. Shippo glanced at Kagome, who winked at him. He smiled and disappeared.
“Kouga, what is it?” she asked, turning her attention to him.
“Why weren’t you in the office?” he asked. “Sango told me you went out to lunch.”
“And that’s what I’m doing. I’m out to lunch with my date. What’s so important that you hunted me down?” she asked again.
“Date?!? But you’re my woman. You can’t be on a date.” He turned to face Sesshoumaru, who was now glaring at him more fiercely then Kagome could ever recall seeing. “Who the hell is this?”
“I am Sesshoumaru Tashio. Who are you?” he growled.
“Kouga Wolf and this is my woman, so back off. I’ve known her longer then you,” Kouga growled back.
Kagome cleared her throat, catching both men’s attention. “Kouga, I am a grown woman, and I believe Sesshoumaru has known me longer then you have. I’m on a date with him, as he is my boyfriend. Now, please, disappear if this visit isn’t about the building burning down.”
Kouga shot a glare at Sesshoumaru, but decided that angering Kagome wasn’t on his to-do list. “Actually, I wanted to go over a few account things with you. I don’t think they can wait.”
Kagome glared at him. “I think it can wait Kouga. What would have happened if I was in a meeting with an important client? They would decide that joining a company with an incompetent employee was not in their best interest and cut all ties with me. I can’t afford that, and neither can you, because that would cost you a job. I’ll see you at the office. And don’t ever do this again.”
“But Kagome! I really don’t think this can wait. I think you should take a look at this!” He pulled out a few papers and handed them over to her. “Since this morning we’ve order at least a good ten grand worth of material from Slashers & Co. I think that someone is trying to rip you off. We were going to stop ordering from there because the material didn’t work for our products.”
Kagome rolled her eyes and slapped her forehead. “Why do I get the stupid people on my case?” she mumbled to herself.
Sesshoumaru smirked at this and Kouga’s eyes widened. He never remembered his Kagome thinking that about anyone. She saw everyone as an equal.
“I made that order, Kouga. And if you were at work this morning, like you were supposed to be, then you would have known that. And I’ve made an agreement with the owner personally that will get us what need,” she answered.
“But nobody gets a personal conference with that prick. He won’t let them,” Kouga retorted.
Sesshoumaru growled. “You will respect me, mutt.”
Kouga glared at him. “What the fucks up your ass?”
“Kouga!” Kagome hissed at him. “Shut your mouth and watch what you say to Sesshoumaru. He is the owner of Slashers & Co. You will treat him better then that. Now go to work. I’ll deal with you when I get back.”
Kouga’s eyes widened more. He stood up without thinking about it and ended up disappearing as Shippo appeared to escort him out of the restaurant. Kagome shook her head and sighed.
“I’m sorry about that. He’s really not the brightest person out there,” she apologized.
“It is not your fault. He should have been more respectful to both of us. More so you. You are his boss after all.”
Kagome nodded. “Yeah, but no matter what I do, he doesn’t listen to me worth anything. It’s embarrassing because he does that all the time in front of clients. Even going so far as pulling me into his arms. Then they start questioning my ethic morals. I’ve lost a few clients because of him. He’s on the verge of losing his job as it is. The twins have agreed to take him on because he’s the third best accountant that works for me. Sango’s top, followed closely by Miroku.
“But you want to know the worst part of him being third best? He comes no where near as well as Miroku. He’s so far behind, that he could be my mediocre accountant. You know the type that just gets a cubical and not an office.”
Sesshoumaru gave a slight snort. “I don’t doubt it one minute. He seems as unprofessional as Inu Yasha can be. I’m surprised you didn’t fire him already. Especially after that display he just gave us. It was idiotic and rude.”
Kagome smiled. “Well, that’s Kouga to a tee. But you were promising me a reason for wanting to know about what happened to Kikyou?” she asked, just remembering the conversation she had right before that.
“Ah, yes. I had almost forgotten about that. I believe I know this Kikyou. You might not like what you hear, no more then I not liking what you told me. Do you promise not to be mad?” he asked her.
“My curiosity is to piqued to be mad at you,” she answered. “So, why did you want to know about that?”
Sesshoumaru thought it over for a minute while taking a sip of wine before beginning. “I was the one that she had met in that subway. She tried to seduce me more then once. She was constantly trying to get a hold of me and coming up to my office. She would get in by telling my assistant that she was my fiancée. I didn’t find this part out until later, and quickly put a stop to it.
“When she realized she couldn’t get to me, she moved to my brother. He fell for it as pure adoration and admiration. He didn’t think anything of it and now he’s been with her for two and a half years. He spoils her to much. But he doesn’t see her when he’s not around.
“She tries to get with me constantly. Not only that, but I believe she’s been cheating on Inu Yasha ever since a few months into their relationship. I had warned Inu Yasha to keep an eye on her and not spend too much on her, but he just took as a form of envy. Maybe you can persuade him.”
Now it was Kagome’s turn to snort. “I doubt it. If anything, I being with you will make Kikyou back off some from you, but if she’s still the way she was when I knew her, she’s got more then one side relationship. She’s probably even got one relationship where at least three guys are involved in it. I’m not getting into Inu Yasha’s affairs, but I will get into Kikyou’s. My friends and I live to pay Kikyou back for the pain and hurt she’s caused us.”
Sesshoumaru smirked grew just a bit bigger. “I think it’s time you meet Inu Yasha’s girlfriend. Dinner tonight?” he asked, snapping his fingers above his head to get Shippo’s attention.
“Indeed. Will you be picking me up?” she asked.
“Of course. I couldn’t let something so precious escape my grasp by getting lost out in the country.”
Shippo appeared before their table and threw a quick glance at Kagome, who had a small blush on her cheeks. “Careful Kagome. You might turn red permanently. May I help you Sir?”
“Check please. I think we’re done here,” Sesshoumaru said.
“Thanks Shippo. Everything was really good.”
Shippo smiled widely at her. “I’m coming to see you at the office after work. Ok?”
“Sure. Do you know when Kaugra’s supposed to be back?” Kagome asked him.
“Today. They got back three hours ago. They were planning on bothering you into going dancing with everyone later tonight. You’re coming, right?” he asked hopefully.
“Most likely. I haven’t seen those two in a week. I’ll see you later Shippo.” Kagome waved as Shippo left.
Sesshoumaru wrote out a check and stood up. “I’ll come with you tonight, if you don’t mind.”
Kagome’s eyes twinkled with a mischievous light. “You can’t stand to be without me, can you Sesshoumaru?”
He rolled his eyes and walked ahead of her, causing her to quickly hurry up to reach him. She smiled as she caught up to him and walked beside him. “Don’t deny it. You know you can’t.”
Sesshoumaru glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes. “I believe you are trying to bait me.”
Kagome chuckled and rapped her arm around his. “I don’t think so. Just teasing you is all.”
Kagome sat in her desk with Kouga across from her. He had been trying to sweet talk her and get on her good side, but Sesshoumaru sat on her couch over by the bar glaring at him. He kept glancing at her from time to time.
“Kouga, what you did today was not acceptable. It was nowhere near professional at all and you know it. Not only did you accuse me of ripping my company, not ours, off, you insulted my date on more then one occasion and insulted him on running his company. You made yourself look like a complete fool and made me look like I was a complete fool for not firing you right there on the spot. How are we going to fix this?” Kagome asked.
He shot a glare at Sesshoumaru and then looked back at Kagome. He just knew this talk had something to do with Sesshoumaru. This guy wasn’t going to last long, because Kagome would see her mistake and come running back to him. He’d play this little game for now. But Sesshoumaru was going to get his.
Kouga straightened up a little and turned his gaze back to Kagome. “I’m really sorry Kagome. Eri told me you weren’t in and I couldn’t find Sango or Miroku so I figured you had went to the Billowing Winds for your normal lunch. I didn’t know you put that order in. Normally Hojo does that, and I couldn’t find him either to ask about it. So I thought I’d find you and ask.”
Kagome huffed. “So you thought you’d insult my date and my new business partner while you were at it?”
“I am sorry for doing that. I do not know what had coming over me. If there is anything I can do to make up for it, I will gladly do it,” Kouga bowed his head.
Kagome glanced at Sesshoumaru, who rolled his eyes, obviously telling her that Kouga was playing at something or another. She in turned glared at Kouga. “You will apologize for making me look like a fool to Sesshoumaru and you will call him Mr. Tashio. Then you will go downstairs and work as hard as you possibly can without bothering Miroku or Sango. Send Sango up while you’re at it.”
Kouga nodded his head and turned to face Sesshoumaru. “I am truly sorry Mr. Tashio. Please forgive me for making a fool out of Miss. Higurashi and myself. It was not my intentions.”
Sesshoumaru nodded and Kagome waved to Kouga, giving an obvious dismissal. Kouga obeyed and quickly left the room. Sesshoumaru stood up and walked towards Kagome.
“I must get back to the office. We still have dinner tonight, correct?”
She stood up and walked around the desk. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I go? After all, I’ll be meeting Inu Yasha’s girlfriend, won’t I?” she asked, a smirk forming on her lips.
Sesshoumaru’s face mimicked her as he swept down to kiss her soundly on the lips. “I shall see you later then.”
With that, he left the office leaving Kagome slightly flustered. She stood staring at the door in a daze. Her fingers moved up to touch the spot his lips had been. She hadn’t expected him to kiss her on the lips. Maybe on the check, like he had just like last night, or on the hand, but not the lips.
And this was how Sango found her not even a minute after Sesshoumaru left.
“Kagome, are you ok?” Sango asked. “Kouga told me to come up.”
Kagome’s dazed eyes slowly slid from the spot she had been staring at to Sango. Slight recognition shone in her eyes. “He actually kissed me,” she whispered, as if she spoke it any louder the spell would be broken and she’d find out he hadn’t done it.
Sango’s eyes widened. “Oh my. That’s something to celebrate! Kagome! Oh Kami!”
Sango embraced Kagome and started to hop up and down.
After a moment of this, Kagome managed to wiggle herself out of Sango’s embrace. “There’s a lot more that I found out today too Sango. You’re not going to like a lot of it, but it’s for the better that I tell you all of this.”
Kagome went and sat down at her desk. She sighed and leaned her head back to look up at the ceiling. “I didn’t tell you all of what Kikyou had said to me. One, because I didn’t want people to go on a killing spree, and two because some people would feel like their hearts were torn out and they were dying by what she had said. I hope you understand in the end why I with held this from you and the others. I’m going to tell them tonight when we all get together during the welcome back party.
“Kikyou told me that she was leaving us behind because we couldn’t buy her the riches she so wanted. The ones she always said she deserved. I tried to explain to her that that’s not how friendships worked, nor love for that matter; she told me that love was just a dream. It meant nothing and it got you nowhere. She told me to look where love got me.
“I told her to leave and don’t look back until she had her head on straight. She told me it was on straight and I was all cocky-eyed. That we all were for letting fairytales of love go to our heads. She told me not to ever wait up for her to call because it plain out wasn’t happening. Then she left. That was the end of it.”
Sango stood up and started pacing back and forth. “That is complete and utter crap! I’ll KILL that damn bitch if I ever see her again. You hear me? I’LL FUCKING RIP HER THROAT RIGHT OUT!!!”
“Sango, sit down and shut up. I’m not done telling you about what I found out today. You have to keep a cool head because I’m going to get her back for all of us.”
Sango sat back down and glared at her friend, imagining it was Kikyou instead. “Well, what the fuck is it?”
Kagome quirked an eyebrow and sighed when Sango scowled at her.
“I talked to Sesshoumaru about it because we got into this conversation of who we both knew. When I came across her name and told him how we didn’t talk anymore, he asked me to tell him why. So I complied and then there was an interruption right after he told me that he’d explain more after Shippo dropped off our food, which he was doing that moment.
“Anyway, he told me that the man she had met in the subway that day was him. But he tried to keep her away from him. She even went as far as telling his personal assistant that she was his fiancée to get into his office. Well, when he found that out, he almost freaked out and made sure that stopped. Soon, she realized that Sesshoumaru wasn’t going to look at him and moved on to his brother.
“You know my new agent? Anyway, he began to spoil her. Bought her everything she asked for without a second thought. He tried to warn Inu Yasha that Kikyou was cheating on him and trying to get with him. Inu Yasha just chalked it up to envy of what he had. Sesshoumaru gave up.
“But he’s hoping that the both of us can get Kikyou’s scheming ways out in the open and show Inu Yasha what a whore she really is. But that’s all we can do though. Just plan and go through with it. We have to hope on Kikyou slipping up more than once for Inu Yasha to really start seeing. To plant the seed of doubt in other words.”
Sango smirked evilly at this. “I like the sound of this plan. It sounds smarter then the rest of us could think up. I believe that the gang will smile and share and evil laugh tonight. Kaugra and Hitten will chalk it up to the best ‘welcome home’ party ever and try to dare people to come up with something better.”
Kagome smiled slightly and nodded at Sango. “Of course she’s going to say that. She can’t control those impulses around the gang.”
They both shared a good laugh as a knock came at the door.
Kagome called for the person to come in, and the door opened, revealing Shippo.
“Hey Kagome, Sango. I’m done with work and thought I’d come tell you the craziest thing that happened at work today,” Shippo said, walking over to the seat next to Sango.
Sango glanced questioningly at Shippo. “What’s that?” she asked.
“Kagome was on a date!” he almost shouted.
The two girls shared a good laugh again. Sango dashed away a stray tear before they settled down.
“I was Shippo. That was Sesshoumaru. You know the one that left me all those years ago.”
Shippo’s eyes widened. “But Kagome! What if he leaves you again! You’re just setting yourself up for another heart break. I can’t watch you go through that again!”
“Shut up twerp. He’s Courting her. He can’t just leave her unless she decides another Courtier is the better choice for her,” Sango assured.
“And Kouga will not find out about that part. I am a Lady. I can’t refuse any Courtier at this point. I think the Court will soon get involved once they find out I’m being Courted by the next Western Lord,” Kagome stated.
Shippo paled more. “You mean that was the Sesshoumaru. Oh man! I’m lucky I’m still alive. So are you!”
Kagome laughed heartily at this. Sango stared at Shippo, waiting for an explanation.
“Sesshoumaru’s the most fierce, most unforgiving demon ever. He can kill you without even moving a muscle. I know because I’ve heard stories from Kagome. Tell her!”
Kagome sighed. “He moved muscles Shippo. He was just to fast for anyone to follow. But he could do it before you blinked your eye. Shit, I think once he killed someone before my eyelid was all the way up. But none of that is important. What’s important is that the love of my life is back in my life. I’m truly happy again.”
Sango had paled visibly as well after hearing this. “Are you sure he’s safe to be around if he’s that fast and that good?”
Kagome quirked and eyebrow. “Are you sure Miroku’s good to be around if he keeps grabbing your ass?”
Sango sighed. “Good point. I guess he’s got to be good if you make that simile.”
“How about we call it a day? Tell Miroku, Kouga and Ayame they can go home to and to meet at my place for the party. Tell them big news. I’ll take Shippo with me.”
Sango nodded before taking off.
