Golden Eyes

Sesshoumaru finally woke up feeling like himself again. Wearing black silk hakumas only he looked around for Inuyasha since he could not feel that warm hard body next to him any longer. The bed suddenly felt empty and Sesshoumaru found he could not sleep without his mate next to him.

The jewel was imbedded in his chest, but it was sleeping. The demon Lord felt the power that radiated throughout his body then looked at his mate who was standing with a white silk kimono robe that was open in the front revealing his firm chest. The silk white hakumas really hid nothing since Sesshoumaru could see right through them as Inuyasha's beautiful body was before his eyes in all its demonic glory. Still the young pup looked sad.

"What is it Inuyasha?"

Sesshoumaru stated as he came behind his beloved wrapping his arms around Inuyasha's waist. Sesshoumaru felt Inuyasha place a hand on his arm. There was a warm sensation and then Sesshoumaru let go before Inuyasha burnt his arm. It was as though Inuyasha was going out of his way to be a jerk.

"What the fuck was that for?"

Sesshoumaru growled as Inuyasha turned on him in tears. Since they came back from Kagome's time after Kagome said goodbye Inuyasha had been this way. Kagome seemed to be happy and doing well until she came back with them through the well deciding death was the final solution to her problems. Ms. Higurashi had cried as did the rest of her family when she made her choice. Kagome could not live with the fact she had killed so many innocent people even if she had not been herself during that spell. Inuyasha had begged Kagome to not come back with them and to just live. The boy was pissed off that Sesshoumaru seemed to want to help her to die. Kagome was now bedridden dying and Inuyasha had been moody. This morning Inuyasha was down right murderous and his eyes were red with the demon as well as the great sorrow he felt.

"I did not do that on purpose Sesshoumaru! I keep telling you that! You don't believe me so why do I bother!"

Inuyahsa stormed away and then ranted some more at Sesshoumaru pacing at the same time wanting to tear something apart.

"You should have left Kagome even as a demon in her own time. You could have blown up the well after we departed so it was closed off forever so she would not make this stupid decision! You damn cold hearted jerk! The jewel does not make choices for you! You make them isn't that what you said to me?"

In a move that surprised Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha in his fury pinned Sesshoumaru against the floor and growled at him. Sesshoumaru fought, but it was of no use. Inuyasha was now very powerful as a full demon.

"Look at you now Sesshoumaru! You used to scare the hell out of me! You all powerful one still have more power then I do yet you fight me and I can hold you down. I am younger then you and so now we are evenly matched. It fucking sucks doesn't it? It makes us both want to dominate each other and makes us both want to kill one another. As a hanyou we had balance and I knew I would not be your equal. I accepted it even if I argued, fought it, and at times despised you because I could not be like you. Now that I am like you are I hate it and don't know how you can stand it.'
"Still I am blind, but I see auras better. I sense things better then ever so now I see why your severed arm was not a problem. Your demon did not allow it to be weakness. That small weakness I had made me depend on you, made me love you. Now I don't even need you."

Sesshoumaru looked away in anger hurt by those words closing his eyes as he ignored the pain of this emotion. The jewel awoke, but it had not interfered. It was silent waiting for the bearer of light to join it. Inuyasha yelled 'fuck' as loud as he could realizing how much he was hurting his mate. Inuyasha then pulled Sesshoumaru into his arms.

"I am sorry Sesshoumaru I am just so fucking angry right now. I did not mean to hurt you. I do want you and need you."

Inuyasha was pushed off of Sesshoumaru who growled angrily as his eyes welled up in tears, but refused to look at Inuyasha to let him see his tears. Sesshoumaru refused to give Inuyasha that satisfaction.

"Here I was thinking I have been cold and heartless to you Inuyasha. You don't need me so don't coddle me. Go away then and leave me. I will not stop you, just don't bother coming back."

Sesshoumaru got up off the floor ignoring his tears dusting himself off as he went over to the water basin to wash his face. Inuyasha knew Sesshoumaru would hold this grudge now against him for many years if he did nothing to fix it. Inuyasha though found he did not want to fix what he felt was the truth. He did not need anyone, but it did not mean he did not want them.

Then something Inuyasha almost forgot hit him like a brick. He did need to be loved and not be alone anymore. So in fact he did need Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha needed that acceptance. So Inuyasha stated things as he always did. Blunt, to the point, and with no tact at all.

"Look, hate me forever if you want since I would deserve it after what I said. I can't take it back. You want to fight for another one hundred years over words that neither of us meant and situations that neither of us understood then so be it. I am not going to live like that, but if you want to then fine. I'll go."

Sesshoumaru watched Inuyasha get ready to walk away and then grasped his arm.

"Stop Inuyasha. You are not going anywhere."

Sesshoumaru stated quietly. He did not want to fight, but Inuyasha needed to. Sesshoumaru started to understand what this was all about and he knew Inuyasha did not know how else to express himself except with anger with brute force since it was much easier to deal with then these emotions. Sesshoumaru understood that because that is how he would deal with many situations he could not understand or control.

Inuyasha slumped down on the bed holding his aching head in his hands. It felt like his very skin was on fire with this demon blood trying to force his human blood to completely die in him. Inuyasha was putting up one hell of a fight and refused to just let his hanyou blood die since his Mother's precious blood was important now that he knew how close he was to losing that side of himself.

"I love Kagome and always will Sesshoumaru. You don't want her as our female mate, but you also don't want her to die like this any more then I do. Still you say it is an honor she wishes for. What rights do either of you have controlling life and death? You are not Gods and you both hold the power over life. If she becomes part of that jewel, Kagome will be able to become something unnatural and no longer my Kagome. That blasted jewel inside of you tells me she has the will power to live if she did not want to join them! Still you won't let me do anything about it!'
"I can't even be alone with her for five seconds! You won't let me alone and it is like you do not trust me. I am your mate and I am loyal.'
"I just don't want you to touch me right now because I am burning up! Your cold hand on my skin hurts! You are like ice and this change is so damn painful you have no clue how hard I am fighting to keep what human is left in this blood! I love my Mother and I can't just let go of that! I am not a full demon and now that it is offered I don't want it! I don't want this! If you do then you don't love me! A person loves you as you are no matter what it is! Kagome taught me that, my Mother taught me that, and I was just too stupid to see it until now!'
"I want things to go back like they were when you hated me and I was a hanyou! I don't want to be this thing! I hate it! I feel my emotions’ draining from me......it is like my Mother's blood did not ever exist and it makes me sick! So what if I was a fucking weak human once a month! At least I knew that! I understood what I was and I had accepted it with Kagome's help.'
"For years I only wanted Kikyo, then that went all to hell. It was not meant to be, she could not accept who I was. I know that now. I was too stupid to look beyond my own rose colored glasses to see it because she accepted a hanyou and she was so beautiful for a human that for her to love me a little felt like my whole world would be right again. Now I see so much more without my own eyes. I have had to use other things including past memories to try to have a normal life again. I am blind, but I also see so much more then I have ever seen in my life because now I really know what I want.'
"This whole time I wanted to be mated to Kagome and with you thinking you would never accept me. I wanted so much and now it is over. Everything is gone I loved because of things like Naraku and now I feel like him. I want to destroy everything including you. I want that jewel out of you so you can be my asshole brother again because I understood that! I understood you before, now it is like I don't know who you are or who I am!"

Sesshoumaru understood exactly what Inuyasha was saying because these emotions he had to experience made him feel exactly how Inuyasha felt right now.

"I know this Inuyasha. I don't know who or what I am either. This jewel chose so many things for us and they were things we wanted with some things we did not. I wanted to understand you better. I wanted to understand Father and his love for humans. I wanted to know what life would be like and we both wished things in the back of our minds. Things we thought we might want for a time, but did not want to really have happen because we thought it would be impossible. So we were wrong. We will deal with this as mates Inuyasha.'
"I wanted to destroy the well leaving Kagome in her time. She is a demon and I cannot leave her in a place that would understand her even less then we do here. That would be both wrong and irresponsible. Kagome's family understood this. I do not like it, but this is Kagome's choice. The only reason I have not left you alone with her is because I did not want you to influence her choices if this is really what she wants. I see I was wrong in doing so and you must mourn in your own way if she does not listen to you. I will not stand in your way, but I will be here if you do need me."

Inuyasha rushed into Sesshoumaru's arms as Sesshoumaru held his sobbing little brother who seemed so lost. Inuyasha was ignoring the pain needing so much to be held. The jewel seemed to glow around them as Sesshoumaru felt it taking back powers and it seemed to understand that sometimes even the most unselfish wishes were not always ones that should be granted. Sometimes a thought even if it was selfless could still be quite destructive. Inside Sesshoumaru the jewel was learning so much more then it had just being inside of the messenger. Sesshoumaru's bottled up emotions flooded the jewel and his thoughts were flowing as one with the four souls that resided within.

"Do you feel better Inuyasha?"

Sesshoumaru asked as the young hanyou he had always loved as the powerful beautiful full demon man that was Inuyasha's mate looked down upon that face that he had known so well. It was defiant, beautiful beyond even that full demon face he had witnessed, and Inuyasha still kept the markings even being a hanyou. It was better this way. Those soft cheeks were once again full making the baby faced pup even more enchanting. Inuyasha breathed again and smiled slightly. His skin no longer burned.

"Yes, I do. What did you do?"

Sesshoumaru spoke quietly running his fingers over that face he wanted to kiss every day for the rest of his life.

"I did nothing. It was the jewel. I am as I was before also. So you have the asshole back since that is your desire. I did not ever consider myself to be one, but apparently you think I am. I can live with that. I know that I prefer this side of myself.'
"Apparently I also have to tolerate your human night as an emotional wreck looking almost human like you so that you do not feel inadequate. I do not know why I must sacrifice my pride like this so you should be grateful I am still keeping you as my mate. As if I had a choice since I marked you I am responsible for you.'
"Can you possibly imagine what the court is going to say about this? It is not my wish at all to show my face to anyone I know in such a state. Still I cannot hide so I am stuck parading a weak human mate around with me protecting you from the idiots I must deal with for political reasons. I cannot believe that I, Lord Sesshoumaru, am forever stuck looking as weak as you on your human night. Everyone will think I am cursed like our Father. It is pathetic and humiliating. Apparently this is something that I must have as a burden since it is part of the mating having to do with marking you in the first place. I find it to be most displeasing."

Inuyasha started laughing. Sesshoumaru was back for certain. The jerk was condescending and snobby like Inuyasha had known his whole life. This was better then the emotional man since Inuyasha preferred fearing Sesshoumaru over the idea of making him cry because he might hurt his feelings. Sesshoumaru was made of stronger stuff then what he had been showing the last few days. It was driving Inuyasha insane.

It was about time that Sesshoumaru had the 'I am better the rest of the world' attitude back with that same stick up his ass stature. It was these things that made Sesshoumaru the perfect King of all Demon kind. Sesshoumaru being an Alpha demon would always have the problem of being an overbearing control freak asshole and Inuyasha loved that about Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha could not ever be as serious as Sesshoumaru and put up with politics without laughing his ass off at the stupidity of it all. It was much more fun to be the brat Prince then the one in charge of everybody.

"I am sure you find many of the things I put you through displeasing Sesshoumaru, but like always you will get over it. I want to go see Kagome now."

Sesshoumaru frowned at this. Inuyasha was not going to leave him to go to the once human girl he loved right after a fight. That was too much after making the sacrifices he had made just to be mated to the brat hanyou who would never be happy no matter how many wishes this blasted piece of junk in his heart granted them.

"No. Not yet. You owe me an apology and you are going to give it to me the way I want you to. You pinned me to the floor and that was unacceptable. It will not occur again and therefore you will know your place."

Inuyasha pouted, but Sesshoumaru would not hear no for an answer. Inuyasha still had a big fear of falling since he was still in eternal darkness with no sight. Sesshoumaru already knew this and picked up his mate carrying him to the bed.

"Sesshoumaru I am not a baby."

Inuyasha growled as he hated how Sesshoumaru would do this. It made him feel like a fucking woman. Sesshoumaru smirked at Inuyasha's thought.

"You know I can read your mind mate. You are my bitch so get over being carried around like this. You will be carried by me like this often and you will like it. It means I want you and you should be thrilled that one such as me would want you at all Inuyasha since no one else would put up with your insulting mouth."

Inuyasha smiled and cuddled against Sesshoumaru allowing Sesshoumaru to dominate him as he felt the full demon's aura flow over him like a welcoming comforting blanket of affection that no words could possibly explain.

"I love you too Sesshoumaru and your better then everyone attitude. No one else would put up with your control freak personality. It is better then being out of control though and so I am glad you are back to normal anal self big brother.'
"Now fuck me before I start thinking again. As a demon I felt like that was all I wanted to do and it drove me crazy. I am a creature of action and thinking too much is something for you to do. I don't want that burden."

Sesshoumaru huffed then found himself laughing at Inuyasha. As a full demon even he could not keep certain emotions from showing up around the pup. Inuyasha was the only one he had ever known that could make his control slip enough that he would end up not only smiling, but trying hard not to fall on the floor laughing at the things Inuyasha would blurt out of his mouth. That mouth was both sexy and trouble.

"Inuyasha I would never accuse you of thinking too much if at all. I have had this burden of thinking for us both for years so it is not difficult for me to continue doing what comes natural."

At that Inuyasha pouted then growled at Sesshoumaru.

"I am not an idiot you know! I was just saying........"

Sesshoumaru silenced Inuyasha with a gentle, but firm kiss as he laid his mate on their silky bed. Soon he was licking those full lips open and Inuyasha's brain was indeed once again mush since all thoughts went strait to the hanyou's groin. Sesshoumaru smirked to himself since this was almost too easy. Getting Inuyasha to shut the hell up was not only going to be rewarding for Sesshoumaru's ears, but his body as well.

"Little mate, I know you are not an idiot. I was teasing you my over sensitive beautiful pup now hush. I want to see how sensitive you are in other ways for a while."

Inuyasha closed his eyes feeling everything that Sesshoumaru was doing to him. Taking in that scent and he did not fight this time when Sesshoumaru rolled him over to dominate him from behind. They had fought for years and Inuyasha was too tired with all the lack of sleep to even swipe a claw at Sesshoumaru even when his human told him that he was being a wimp. Inuyasha and his demon agreed that this felt damn good. Soon the human side of him shut up and started to enjoy the attention as well basking in the love of the experienced beautiful demon male that was loving his body.

Sesshoumaru quickened his pace as at first he took Inuyasha with slow meaningful strokes savoring the tightness of his lover. Inuyasha was indeed very tight and made to fit him perfectly. Such a gorgeous firm ass too that was all his any time he wished to take advantage of his mate. Seeing that sexy body in those filmy white silk cloths made Sesshoumaru's mouth water and his cock spring to attention. The demon in him whimpered at the beauty that was his for the taking.

After positioning Inuyasha and preparing him Sesshoumaru felt the demon within awaken to claim his mate. Still Sesshoumaru wanted this experience like any other to be unique so he had just slid down the black silk hakumas that he wore and it felt almost forbiddingly wicked to fuck his mate as though they had not had time to undress.

The sensation of the clothing with the skin on skin contact seemed to make them both feel as though they had been too desperate for each other to remove everything and in some ways that is exactly how Sesshoumaru felt. They had been at odds even during love making for the last two days. Now Inuyasha was submitting to him completely and Sesshoumaru now felt at peace. At the same time the dominating of his mate with Inuyasha's complete submission made Sesshoumaru feel very powerful indeed. He felt like for once this mating was right and pure as it should have been.

Biting Inuyasha again Sesshoumaru had made it clear to Inuyasha's demon that he, Sesshoumaru, was in control. Even the human in Inuyasha had submitted without too much of a battle as Inuyasha melted enjoying the pain mixed with the pleasure. It was even more sensual then any sex they had before as Sesshoumaru rolled them over to spoon Inuyasha against him not bothering to pull out of his mate yet. Inuyasha did not mind since he knew Sesshoumaru would want more and feeling full of Sesshoumaru made him feel connected completely to his mate that no emotion could express. Inuyasha being so physical in his emotions felt this was truly love without having to say the words.

Kagome woke up feeling rather ill. She had not slept well and had hoped this dying mess would be done with. It seemed to go on forever. Kagome did not want to live any more. Inuyasha did not understand this, but he should.

Life was basically over for Kagome as far as she was concerned. Her true love found his mate, she was a demon that could not go back to her old life, and Kouga would have been properly mated to Ayame if he had not taken his own life so his threats to come for her were about as useful as Inuyasha's threats to kill him for asking in the first place. Kagome did not want to be a burden on Sesshoumaru and someone to just drag around. The two brothers had enough concerns. Sango and Miroku were also happy so why impose on them? Kaede was dead and really there was nothing more for her to do to help anyone.

Inuyasha insisted there was more for her to live for. Kagome felt this time he was wrong. Inuyasha was happy and that was what Kagome had wanted. That is what she had wished for. Kagome wanted the brothers to be together, to not fight, and for them both to be happy. Sesshoumaru deserved happiness as much as Inuyasha did. How many times had the powerful demon Lord saved them? Even if he did not admit to it Kagome was not stupid enough to close her eyes to Lord Sesshoumaru's heroic nature. Sesshoumaru being a beautiful creature there was not a chance she could see in competing with him when it came to Inuyasha’s affections and fact was Kagome did not want to compete with anyone anymore. Kikyo was dead and really she had no reason to fear the woman stealing Inuyasha away. The last thought had been she wished for Inuyasha to be the one to take her virginity. It had not been so. Naraku stole that away just like he destroyed everything else that was pure in this world.

Kagome got up wearing the silky white sleeping kimono that she had been given by the maids. The pretty demon maids looked at her with such pity in their eyes. Even as a demon Kagome did not think she was beautiful, yet they kept whispering how sad it was such a beautiful young demon girl would wish to die.

Looking in the mirror her hair was longer, but other then the markings on her face and hands she looked no different. Kagome wanted to throw something at the mirror. The spider that graced her forehead was just another reminder of Naraku. Another curse he left her with. Falling to the floor Kagome sobbed. Was there no end to the thing that tormented her? His voice in Kouga's body still haunted her as he whispered that he would always be a part of her even into her death.

There was a soft knocking on the door. Kagome got up quickly trying to regain her composure only to knock the water basin onto the floor by accident. In walked the demon Lord himself as he stood behind Kagome who was desperately trying to pick up the pieces of the shattered porcelain.

"Forget about the mess the servants will clean it up that is what they are for. It is nothing Kagome and it is unbecoming of a Lady to be on the floor cleaning. Why are you crying again?"

Sesshoumaru stated flatly as he felt uncomfortable with the woman sobbing so he did what he would not normally do except maybe with Rin. Kagome seemed similar in personality so perhaps this small gesture would help calm her as he placed a clawed hand softly on her shoulder. Kagome stiffened at the touch. Sesshoumaru immediately removed his hand.

"I touch Rin like this I thought perhaps it would assist you. I did not intend to offend you Kagome."

Kagome stood throwing the pieces of the broken basin into the waste bin not turning to look at such a fine creature in her current state. He deserved to look at better things.

"It was not unwelcome. Your touch was just not expected. You do not normally touch anyone unless it is necessary from what I have seen of you and from the little I know of you Lord Sesshoumaru."

Sesshoumaru nodded. It was an acceptable answer.

"You did not answer my question. Demons do not cry unless it is something extremely disturbing that would cause such a reaction. Do you not like your room? Has anyone been unkind to you? If so we can fix this problem."

Kagome stood as her shoulders slumped in defeat. Here he was being such a gentleman and so kind to her which was definitely unlike Sesshoumaru. Normally he was threatening them with death, dismemberment, or just avoiding the fact he had just saved them. Sesshoumaru was very hard for her to comprehend. The man said one thing then did another. Sesshoumaru is unpredictable unlike Inuyasha who could hide nothing if he tried most of the time even though he had been pretty good at hiding emotions on occasion.

"I was crying over something that cannot be changed and never will be. It is ok. I will get past such a superficial thing. I would like the mirrors removed though if that is at all possible. I know it is a lot to ask........"

Sesshoumaru looked at Kagome in confusion. What woman would not like these fine mirrors in her room to use? Did Kagome not wish to see her beauty? The girl was indeed a creature that had always been beautiful especially now as a demon. If she chose to live it would not be difficult to find her a suitable mate.

"The mirrors are disturbing you?"

Kagome turned and looked at Sesshoumaru. She was so embarrassed and knew then she would have to explain her shame.

"I don't know if I can stand looking at my face when all it reminds me of is what he did to me. I can't remove the markings so why look at the one thing I hate that I am forever burdened with? I know the jewel cannot remove some things and this is one of them. I do not wish to look at myself."

Sesshoumaru then understood and became even angrier at Naraku. The bastard had marked her with his spider making her have to see every waking moment what he did to them all. She was a reminder of the creature the world hated. No wonder she wished for death. Naraku used her like he used everyone else. To allow her to die though was to allow Naraku to win. Sesshoumaru could not accept that.

"Kagome I cannot say I do not understand your wish for death. I do know why and now even more so. Still I have told you there is no reason for you to decide such a thing. Do you intend to allow that creature to continue to live? If you let such things as his mark and the past rule over you then you give him exactly what he wanted. You are not an impure being and the marking is not properly done. He did not make you his mate. You are not shamed. Naraku is forever shamed and will suffer even in death for what he has done. If you allow yourself to become another puppet for him then you will never know what living really can be since you will already be dead.'
"The mirrors will not be removed from this room. In fact more shall be brought in. You are a beautiful young woman and should not hide yourself even from your own eyes."

Sesshoumaru was in shock when Kagome rushed into his arms hugging him. He did not know what to do or how to feel. Still he gently hugged the girl as best he could back and found it to be pleasant. It was not as bad as he thought it could be. Kagome smelled nice and as a demon her scent was even more attractive then before. Still she was not what he desired in a mate for the female of the pack. Perhaps there was a way though that Inuyasha could have her as his female if the old spells still worked. Sesshoumaru wanted someone specific, but Inuyasha had found what he desired in a female to bear his children. There was no point in keeping the pup away from the woman he loved. She may be useful in getting Inuyasha to work past his blindness and live a full life too.

In some ways Sesshoumaru was jealous as hell that Inuyasha wanted Kagome still even after their mating. It was normal though for males to want a female even with a male mate. Even Sesshoumaru felt the pull that stated he had to find one who would bear his children so that he could create an heir worthy to the throne. Inuyasha did not have this burden. Inuyasha could indeed mate who he pleased, but fact was Sesshoumaru did not like the idea of letting go just yet which was why he kept Inuyasha from Kagome. There was still time for Inuyasha to do this and Sesshoumaru wanted his time with Inuyasha before the pup ran away to make his family. They had been at odds for so long that it was time to put aside the past and enjoy what they had while they had it.

Kagome would indeed make fine pups that would carry on the blood of their Father. Problem was Inuyasha would now have to decide to become a full demon at least until his human nights to make the full demon children to replace the population of Inus that had been slaughtered. They had to repopulate a whole damn race of their own people and Sesshoumaru felt like an ass already since their female mates were going to be pregnant often feeling like brood mares instead of true mates. They would get over it soon and children tend to grow fast.

Sesshoumaru planned on having many children with his female and would be spending more time with her then Inuyasha so perhaps this whole mess with Kagome was for the best. Inuyasha needed a female of his own and they both had way too much testosterone to handle sharing a female. They would most likely kill each other over having to share anything for too long.

This was going to be hell for Inuyasha who was so damn happy at being a hanyou right now. Still, pissing Inuyasha off was fun and brought out that passion that Sesshoumaru adored in his mate. Sesshoumaru sighed knowing he would miss those baby soft slight chubby cheeks Inuyasha had, but they would not thin out too much. Inuyasha as a full demon was still very young and had enough baby fat in that adorable face to last another 350 years considering the boy was still so much of a puppy. Inuyasha had not even reached his 500th year where even as a hanyou he would grow his very first tail.

Normal circumstances they would have their female and their male mates chosen for them. Father and Mother were now dead so it was up to him. As Inuyasha stated some things needed to change and the jewel did not rule over them. In fact the only person who did rule over all was he, Lord Sesshoumaru, who had ultimate say so in their lives. It was the same spell that the great Inu No Tashio had used to bind his female mates in their unusual circumstances. His Father was forced to marry his Mother and neither of them was in love with each other. It took many years for them to finally accept one another and show signs of love. Then Mother fell in love with Izayoi and Father followed suit. It had been for better words a bitch of a mating ceremony with both his parents fighting over the beautiful human female.

Izayoi had been stolen by his Mother when Mother thought she found a water nymph. She killed the guards watching over the young human Princess and also killed the maids caring for her feasting upon them not realizing that Izayoi was also human until after she got the girl home placing her naked form in the middle of the throne room right in front of everyone including himself. Sesshoumaru had though the girl enchanting until Father laid his eyes upon her with Mother giggling in happiness that she captured a real live water nymph. It was so damn childish and his Mother had always been rather playful. It was Father's fault for indulging her so much.

Sesshoumaru not thinking had wandered over to the naked girl to smell her getting a growl from Father to step back. The girl was trembling as the woman who took her had changed from a great demon dog into the most beautiful female she had ever seen. Sesshoumaru only knew this because Izayoi had told him so. However Father being the Alpha male fell in love with the small human girl at first sight picking her up immediately with a kiss to Mother's cheek for the gift as he took the shivering beauty that had just passed out to his room. That night Inuyasha was conceived. Mother joined them later and Sesshoumaru felt rather put out that he had not even had the opportunity to smell the creature before his parents took her away.

That same evening a spell was created since Mother growled that Father had no damn control of his hormones what so ever making the girl pregnant. They barked at each other for weeks on who was allowed time with the now pupped Izayoi since she was already creating the sweet milk Inuyasha would greedily drink up and this was a rare feast for the dogs who had claimed her with them both wanting it all for themselves. It took weeks to decide to even keep the hanyou alive after it was born. Mother called it her imp and told Sesshoumaru to shut up about the mutt nonsense. It was to be his brother and he was to accept this insult. Father stated the same thing as he hummed around the castle happily and sometimes was caught dancing with both of his wives. Sesshoumaru could not ever understand his parents. His Mother hated humans and his Father loved them. Still they both loved this particular human. It made no sense.

Sesshoumaru watched Izayoi for years and before Inuyasha was born he talked Takemaru of Setsuna who had loved the girl into a trade. Sesshoumaru did not want the burden and embarrassment of a hanyou brother plus his family was in danger since war broke out after the news was heard that a human had bewitched the powerful Inu demons who were currently ruling over prejudice demon tribes who found any mixed blood or even those who mingled with humans to be tainted. They would be marked for death.

If this plan worked it would get rid of the hanyou and the human would be taken as a mate to the human Lord. It was a plan that he had hoped would not backfire. Still it did. The human was insane killing Izayoi, leaving Inuyasha alive to try to burn the baby alive, and his Father was killed in the blazing fire that destroyed what was their family vacation home. It was also set up as the birthing place for noble females. It had been the same place Sesshoumaru had been born to.

His anger about things had changed so much over the years. So many things he once hated seemed insignificant now.

A long time ago Sesshoumaru had been furious that he was denied the Alpha battle for the three swords of power in his Father’s possession. It was his rite to fight for the position since his Father took off from the war against the dragon of the east to save his beloved human and hanyou. Sesshoumaru saw this as a sign of his loyalty and it was a shame on their family. Sesshoumaru would not have even threatened to fight his Father if he had known how wounded he was, but the swords should have been given to him to finish what his Father had started. Instead they were spit up and one is lost forever.

Sesshoumaru came upon the burning castle and rushed Izayoi and the squealing baby back to the castle since Mother would not shut up about her little human nymph. Sesshoumaru could not stand it any longer so he went after his Father only to find that his own plan had backfired in the worst way. Father was dead. The fumes and heat ended his life as Sesshoumaru held his beautiful Father sobbing. No one knew of this, but Sesshoumaru in his fury blamed the human woman. If she had not been in their lives, Father would still be alive.

The training sessions had been rough for Inuyasha, but Sesshoumaru treated Inuyasha as his Father would. Sesshoumaru for a time had played the role of Father by raising Inuyasha and found the hanyou to be rather adorable. He would not say so ever to anyone. It was when they were alone that Sesshoumaru showed the pup many things and started to think of Inuyasha as his own. Those soft ears were very addicting. Years passed by, Izayoi grew old and died. Even in her elder years she was a regal and kind woman.

Sesshoumaru hated Izayoi for things she could not change and although he was not cruel to her he did avoid her. Inuyasha suffered for this because the times his little brother was with his human Mother he was moving further away from his demon heritage and he was being ostracized by everyone. Only when Inuyasha was finally away from his human Mother for good after her death did Inuyasha actually start to show some promise of being something other then a normal hanyou. Inuyasha had impressed many people including demons who were once prejudice against him. Sesshoumaru had toughened the boy up, but unfortunately in doing so they had come at odds with one another.

A few comments about Inuyasha's precious human Mother and Sesshoumaru had thought he lost Inuyasha forever. That mistake caused Inuyasha to run to a powerful human priestess who almost destroyed him and Sesshoumaru swore this would not happen again. Inuyasha had almost lost his life and for fifty years had been sealed to a tree that Sesshoumaru had visited on occasion. That was why Sesshoumaru had been so very angry that Inuyasha was once again associating with humans. Not normal humans, but demon haters.

Sesshoumaru had loved the pup in his own ways and mourned Inuyasha thinking he was dead although Sesshoumaru did not show emotions around others. Seeing such a beautiful silent perfect creature pinned by an arrow as though in slumber Sesshoumaru felt that such a sight should be protected. Placing a barrier around the place only Sesshoumaru was allowed to enter what he believed to be the final resting place of his beautiful younger brother that sometimes he would sit and talk to even if Inuyasha did not ever hear him. He would hold those soft cold hands, kiss those sweet cheeks, and touch those ears wishing the boy would just wake up. It was strange for one to seem so dead yet still carry a soft whisper of a heartbeat in that still body.

The powerful barrier and seal was broken by this girl. She was not like Kikyo though. Kagome was different and so were those Inuyasha had associated with as his pack. They had not been as he had thought. In fact they protected many demons who were good, hanyous, and humans. They were indeed an odd bunch, but acceptable and worthy of life. Inuyasha needed them and they brought Inuyasha back to what he had been before he left their castle. A childish imp that was unable to sit still at all and very loud.

Inuyasha was still such a baby losing fifty of the most important years of his life and Kagome was no different. She is a newborn demon and so new to this life. Sesshoumaru felt that he indeed would be a cradle robber to take Kagome as his female. She was much too young for him. Rin was a newborn Angel, they would do well growing here with each other and this would give his Rin someone to play with who would understand her. Then when Kagome reached the proper age Inuyasha could mate her. Inuyasha also would not like that fact. In some ways this amused Sesshoumaru to no end since Inuyasha was going to rant over this too.

"Kagome there is a scroll I have read that would allow you and Inuyasha to mate without me. It will be a long time before such things can happen, but if you chose to live then maybe I will be able to give you both what you desire. I can find my own female if this works, but you will have to be willing to let Inuyasha go to be with me even if you do not want to do so. We are mated. I do not intend to mate with you or even to bond with you. Inuyasha is too possessive and it would not work well for us. I do not think it is wise for me to interfere. So if this is what you want then you must make your decision."

Kagome let go as the hug ended and it felt so unreal to be held by such a man. It was hard to hear his rejection, but Kagome did not think she could be compatible with such a man. Sesshoumaru was not one to be wild and just do whatever came to mind like Inuyasha was. Inuyasha was spontaneous and would combust if he had to sit still for too long. The crazy wild man she loved even blind could not be sitting still if he tried. Kagome knew that Inuyasha had to be going insane with not being able to go outside to run in the sunshine and sit in the trees that he loved so very much.

"Ok. How much time do I have to think this over?"

Sesshoumaru grasped Kagome's chin when she looked down at her fingers. Sesshoumaru refused to let Kagome be self conscious all of a sudden when the girl child had always been overly outspoken. Her meek ways and silence had bothered Sesshoumaru a lot. It was not normal and there had been too many abnormal things happening with the people he had come to know so well. It was not going to remain this way and he expected Kagome to start behaving as she should be. Kagome had always been willful, loud, and wild like Inuyasha.

"Do not look down. You have not ever looked down or acted proper around me. No reason to do so now. I find your and Inuyasha's changes to be irritating. You will act as you always have or I will start attacking you both like I used to before we found peace. This is too disturbing your silence. I cannot understand that you and Inuyasha can go from being so very loud I could hear you both from many miles away to completely silent. It is also disturbing my people that you both are not behaving as I have described you. I will not be labeled as someone who does not tell the truth."

Kagome then looked up at Sesshoumaru and found herself doing something she would normally do to someone who did something very nice for her. Sesshoumaru in only a few minutes had opened her eyes and given her more then Kagome could have ever asked for. She would do anything he asked of her as long as it did not cause pain or hurt innocent people. Of course Sesshoumaru had to know that so there was no point in bringing it up. Kagome on her tip toes kissed Sesshoumaru's cheek.

"Thank you for everything........ You always walked away when I tried to thank you and this time I want you to know it. I hope that shocked you enough to remember this time so that if there are others you won't just walk away without hearing me. Will I still be able to visit Sango and Miroku? I really miss them and Shippo. Shippo was like a son to me and I miss our little pack."

Sesshoumaru stood tall as Kagome let go feeling rather strange, but almost wanted to laugh at the gesture. He had heard, but this was kind of cute. Something Rin would do so that he would not forget her. Sesshoumaru smiled slightly after he turned away from the beautiful young demon girl. Inuyasha was going to be so pissed off that he was kissed even on the cheek by someone else and Sesshoumaru was going to play a game with the hot headed pup. Sesshoumaru spoke seriously before leaving the room.

"I have heard you say thank you many times Kagome. I do listen unlike my brother, but it was he who should have said such things more times then anyone else. It is no longer of any importance. Inuyasha will learn to be a Prince now that he is home even if he does not like the idea. You will also have to live under my rules if you choose to stay here with us. Inuyasha's pack already has an invitation to come live here. We are in need of a monk even if he is in my mind questionable in that respect considering he is a letch. I can also use Sango and Kohaku who my Mother revived to train my armies. They are very skilled in the combat arts and with Miroku's hand to hand combat training we shall be quite the power in Japan. I find these humans to be useful.'
"Shippo is to be raised here since he has no home and Inuyasha had informed me that he helped raise the pup. I highly doubt either of you knows how to raise a full demon pup. I do so he is now my ward as are you and Rin.'
"Ah-Un has an interest in the two tails and apparently the feeling is mutual for them both. I find it disturbing, but animals being what they are I do not wish to understand them. They will do as they will and so having all of Inuyasha's pack here will be a good thing for all. I have accepted stranger things in my life and for years we will be the talk of the courts. My two headed burden beast is a vegetarian and dragons are supposed to be like my kind. Meat eaters. We hunt and we kill. You will get over it and Inuyasha will once again do what is natural. Inuyasha has been domesticated on human fare, which will not do. Things are going to change for you both. Rin I cannot change, but you both are demons. It is ludicrous that you both insist on still eating as humans not to mention absolutely disgusting.'
"No matter what you decide to do, if you live, you die, or you mate my brother then it will make my decision much easier so that I can make plans for you. I have males already lined up who wish to mate you on your 250th year as a demon if you do not choose to mate with Inuyasha at that time. You are only a few weeks old in demon years and it would be inexcusable for anyone to take advantage of a toddler demon. This is what you are so do not huff at me young lady."

Kagome felt slightly insulted at that remark. Fact was to a demon she was just a baby. Only a few years old and had the baby fat in those lovely cheeks to prove it. In her human mind Kagome was a teenager, but the demon mind was slowly taking over. Soon it would consume her blood completely and Sesshoumaru knew after this occurred it would be like dealing with another Rin. He looked forward to it and dreaded it in other ways. Still it was not new to him so Sesshoumaru was prepared this time.

"You still have a choice Kagome. There is some human left in that mind of yours and it can still overpower this spell so you may take the demon way to death. It is not pleasant I assure you and I will come to take your life before it becomes too painful for you. It is the considerate and compassionate thing to do even if it seems cruel to you. If you choose to die then no one including me will stand in your way. You are here safe in this place and no one is here to judge you. So I give you today to think about it and I will be back in the morning to hear your answer. Do not think this over lightly, it is your life and only you can decide what you want from it.'
"More mirrors will be brought in by the maids this afternoon so I highly suggest you get used to looking at your appearance. You are who you choose to be so when you look at yourself maybe you can find out what kind of person you truly are. I also expect to see you at dinner in formal attire. There are many who have not met you or Inuyasha. I cannot have my mate and a guest staying in my home without rumors in the courts becoming more of a problem then necessary. I will not be labeled a tyrant who keeps his guests and mate prisoner. I am not that cold of a bastard no matter what Inuyasha says."

With that Sesshoumaru left the room with his long beautiful silver hair swaying behind him. Kagome sighed wishing that Sesshoumaru wanted her in so many ways. The man was so beautiful. In black robes he looked even better then he did in his fine white kimono with the splendid armor. The v line of his black kimono top was still loose and not tied as tight as it could have been showing off that magnificent chest. Sesshoumaru was not as slender as he appeared, but was built much like Inuyasha with rippling muscles that were well defined and well proportioned. There was not one ounce of fat on either brother as far as she knew. Inuyasha certainly did not have any fat on him and he said his brother was the same way.

With as much as Inuyasha ate Kagome was always trying to figure out where the crap Inuyasha put all that food since he did not gain an ounce and looked as sexy as always no matter how much junk food she brought him from her time. Kagome knew that Inuyasha burned off every calorie plus some with all the energy he had. The brothers were so athletic that there was nothing except beautiful strong male under those cloths and Kagome remembered during her bathing times with Sango both girls would swoon at the thought of seeing the pristine Lord Sesshoumaru without his shirt. It seemed so childish back then, but in some ways Kagome felt slightly disappointed she would never witness more then a tease of that perfectly sculpted man.

Kagome felt fat since she was so curvy, but Inuyasha stated he loved her curves. It was what made him want to see her bathe more often. When they were alone Inuyasha was such a pervert and groped just as badly as Miroku groped Sango. It would be so nice to be loved like that as Inuyasha's mate even if she had to share him with Sesshoumaru.
