Inu Tashio and his mate looked out their window to see a laughing Kagome running from their growling sons. They both started laughing as they saw them running around the grounds.

"I think she's good for them both." his mate said smiling at him.

"I agree. I haven't seen them like this in awhile. Especially Sesshomaru he usually doesn't run around like that." he said smiling.

However his smile soon fell off his face as he saw another child join in. He knocked Kagome down and Inu Tashio was heading down there.

"Ow!" Kagome yelled as she landed on her butt. She looked up at the boy that had ran into her. He stood there looking at her with hate in his eyes.

Sesshomaru and Inuyasha came to a halt behind Kagome and looked at the other child. He was Sesshomaru's age and they had at one time been friends, but that had been long ago.

"Since when do you play with humans Sesshomaru?" the little boy of ten asked.

"Since when have you been welcomed onto these lands Naraku?" Sesshomaru countered.

Long ago their parents had been friends, but then Naraku's father had betrayed Inu Tashio. He had then banished Naraku's father from their lands. Besides all of that Sesshomaru and Naraku had become friends, but a girl had came between them. Naraku had tried to harm a little girl awhile back. Sesshomaru had saved her from him.

Naraku hissed at Sesshomaru and then looked at Kagome who just stood back up rubbing her butt. He smiled at her and saw a interesting necklace around her neck.

"What's that?" he asked curiously.

Kagome looked down at the necklace her grandfather had given to her. "Oh this is a necklace of shards from a different necklace that was handed down through our family, it was broken many years ago by someone and they found all the shards, but couldn't figure out how to get it back together. My grandfather gave it to me for my birthday." she said rubbing one of the shards.

Naraku licked his lips as he watched her finger rubbing back and forth over the biggest shard. He smiled again and then without warning he pushed Kagome down and grabbed the necklace right off of her, then took off running with his demon speed.

Kagome started crying as she realized the necklace was gone. It was her most priced possession.

Inu Tashio hadn't seen the whole thing, but he helped Kagome up and she just cried.

"What happened?" he asked his sons, who look guilty at not stopping Naraku.

"He took her necklace of shards father." Sesshomaru replied with a frown.

Inu Tashio signed and looked down at the crying girl.

"Is it that important to you?" he asked.

"Yes Grandpa gave it to me for my birthday." she said.

"Then you should get it back." he said smiling at her.

"What do you mean?" Kagome asked as she stopped crying and looked up at Inu Tashio.

"I mean why don't you go find Naraku and get it back. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha will go with you to keep you safe. Would you like that?" he asked smiling at the hope shinning in the little girls eyes.

"Very much so. Thank you very much Inu Tashio." she said giving him a huge hug, which did his heart good.

"Yess that fart bag will get what's coming to him!" Inuyasha yelled as he jumped up into the air.

"Hopefully I will return without a brother to annoy me." Sesshomaru said with a grin as Inuyasha stopped jumping and glared at him.

Inu Tashio and Kagome just laughed at the two.
