Chapter 4

Sesshomaru had ordered Jaken to show Rin around the house and were her bedroom is. Why Jaken was doing that Sesshomaru went to his study to do some unfinished work. “Now this is masters bedroom but you are not aloud in their” Jaken told her. “This will be your room, your things will be brought up when they get here, now if you’ll excuse me I have things to do” and Jaken walked of. Rin looked at the huge room “this is a bedroom, it looks more like a house except without a kitchen” Rin said to herself. She sat down on the bed “This mattress is so soft and so are these quilts golly how much would he have had to pay for all this” Rin then said. “Is talking to yourself one of your hobbies, you seem to do that quite a lot” she heard a voice coming from the door way.

Sesshomaru was standing their with his arms crossed “is this room to your liking” he asked her. “Yes it is, thank you very much Mr Hirashi” Rin said, “I have come to tell you that your parents are here with your things” he told her.

Down stairs Rin’s parents were watching two men take their daughter’s things inside. Rin ran out to them and gave them both a huge hug. “Mum, dad I’m so glad you’re here” Rin said “I’m sorry for this sudden surprise Rin I bet you weren’t expecting us to say yes huh” Lucy said. “No I wasn’t but are you sure this is alright with you both” Rin asked them. “Look it was a bit hard to decide but I know that Mr Hirashi will keep his word on the agreement and once this is all over you will be able to come home” her father told her. “Yeah and I am really looking forward to that dad” Rin replied. Sesshomaru then walked out of the house and saw Rin saying goodbye to her parents. It would be awhile until she would see them again but he hoped that it wouldn’t be to long.

Rin waved why watching her parents drive a way “BYE, SEEYA” she yelled out why waving at the same time. “I love you” Rin said in a little whisper “do not worry you will see them again” Sesshomaru walked beside her. “I know its just that I am really going to miss them” Rin replied, “master there is a phone call for you” Jaken walked out and told him. “I will be right their” Sesshomaru replied and walked inside. Rin headed back inside and for some reason, at that split second Rin felt rather alone now. Not because her parents or friends were not around but something else. It just seemed that this huge house seemed so empty, which made her feel empty as well. She wondered how can one man just live in such a huge place with no one to share it with. It was strange how she had never thought that when she had first arrived but now it seemed so clear.

Rin now thought that she might actually see the true side of Sesshomaru why living in his house. When she had first saw him, her body froze it was as if time stopped in just one quick moment. Though she couldn’t see the color of his eyes, they had made her so drawn into them. His gaze looking straight back at her was making Rin’s heart beat faster than usual. She knew at that moment that something had happened to her that day. Rin had never believed in ‘love at first sight’ like some people did. She would only believe it if it actually happened to her and just maybe in a way it might have. Rin wasn’t sure if she was actually in love with Sesshomaru and now wasn’t the time to think about that. Her job now was to pretend to be Sesshomaru’s girlfriend, so she can get back to her normal life.

Sesshomaru had just gotten of the phone in his office ‘god will he ever give up’ Sesshomaru thought. It so happened that Sesshomaru’s father had rung him for the probably one hundredth time. He didn’t ring to ask how his son was doing or if he was just ringing to have a chat, nope it was something else. The one topic Sesshomaru hated talking to his father about and that was marriage. Sesshomaru’s father had been wanting his eldest son to get married and start a family the main reason because he wanted to make sure Sesshomaru would have someone to take over the company after him. Inutaisho had stepped down from being president when he had fallen ill and couldn’t work anymore. It wasn’t a sickness were he would die, just an illness which makes the body weak. Inutaisho had built that company as the success it is now and was unpleased when he had to step down.

As Sesshomaru was his eldest son, he was the next president and had been since he turned nineteen. Inutaisho was very proud of Sesshomaru and knew he would become a fine president for the company and make it even more successful over the years which Sesshomaru had done. Now that Sesshomaru was twenty five years old his father had been bugging him to find himself a partner. Inutaisho knew that the time had come for him to get married and start a family of his own. Not just because he hopes that his eldest son will have an heir to the corporation once Sesshomaru steps down. No he wanted his son to have some body who will care about him and love him. The conversation would never turn out well because Sesshomaru just hated talking about it. He would tell his father the same thing ‘I don’t need anyone’ and would slam the phone down.

Rin was reading one of her magazines when she walked past Sesshomaru’s office and heard something coming from inside. ‘Is their a robber in their’ she thought. ‘I wonder were Mr Hirashi is’ she wondered to herself, Rin rolled her magazine making it look like a bat. She slowly grabbed the handle. ‘Okay now there’s nothing to worry about I’m sure its just a mouse, yeah that’s its just a mouse’ she kept thinking to herself. Rin took a gulp and slammed the door open “ALRIGHT WHERE ARE YOU, YOU DISGUSTING MOUSE” Rin yelled holding her rolled up magazine, ready to strike at what ever is moving. The room was completely dark and she could hardly see a thing. Rin then saw something move “I’VE GOT YOU NOW” she yelled ‘WHACK’. The moving figure fell to the floor, Rin turned on the lamp and was shocked to see who she just hit.

“Oh my god”, their on the floor was Sesshomaru rubbing his head and had a very angry glare on his face. “I, I’m so sorry Mr Hirashi, I thought their was a mouse in here” Rin said “well aren’t I a bit big to be a mouse” Sesshomaru asked standing up. He was taking a nap in his chair when he heard Rin yelling. Sesshomaru had got up and started to walk towards her when he got a big wallop on the head with Rin’s magazine. “I bet your really angry at me” Rin said looking down at the ground. “Yes but I have to say you can hit pretty hard for a girl” Sesshomaru said with a bit of sarcasm in his voice. “You know that’s the first time I have actually ever yelled in a long time” Rin told him with a smile on her face.

Sesshomaru was a little bit intrigued by the young girl standing before him, she was deffiently different from many other girls he had met. Of course those other girls were actually women between the age of twenty and twenty five. Not an actual young girl who is only sixteen and still a teenager. Pretending that they are in a relationship will be simple in front of the public but when they are alone Sesshomaru would have to control himself. Rin maybe a child to him but he can not allow anything to happen between the two of them. “Mr Hirashi are you alright” Rin asked bringing him back out of his thoughts. “Yes I am fine” why looking at her, both their eyes locked to one another. Rin’s heart was beating really fast again ‘oh god stop looking at him before you do something stupid’ Rin thought to herself. ‘Alright Sesshomaru get a grip remember what you just told yourself nothing is suppose to happen between us’ Sesshomaru was also thinking to himself.

‘Alright maybe if I just walk away then I wont feel any more embarrassed than I already do now, but his eyes are so gorgeous and he’s so cute to, oh no I did not just think that’ Rin thought. ‘Come on Sesshomaru you cant let this girl intimidate you, remember she is only sixteen and your twenty five remember that’ Sesshomaru’s mind kept telling him things which was the same with Rin. “Well um I’m rather tied so I might go to bed now, goodnight Mr Hirashi” Rin said and quickly walked out of the office. “I should never had done that now he’ll probably think I have some huge crush on him or something” Rin said to herself.

Back at the office Sesshomaru sat down on his black leather chair “what just happened then” Sesshomaru asked himself rubbing his temples. Afraid that something actually might happen between them was something Sesshomaru could not do. Deciding to do this whole charade was bad enough but to actually get involved in a real relationship is way of the mark.

Rin was in her new bedroom lying on her bed but instead of sleeping she was thinking instead. “Why does he make me so timid inside, its as if he has a hold on me which I cant explain” she asked herself. Rin rolled onto her side “is what I’m feeling actually happening can I really be falling for him, what am I thinking even if that is true there is no way in heaven that he would feel the same for me, that’s why I don’t believe in love in first sight because all it does is hurt you” she said, still just talking to herself. “Huh, he’s right I do talk to myself a lot, I guess this happens to show how lonely someone can get at times” and she started to fall asleep.

It was soon morning and Rin was heading to the kitchen to have some breakfast since she was already washed and changed for school. When she entered the kitchen Rin saw Sesshomaru sitting at the table reading the news paper. A maid brought a plate of food to Rin for her to eat, she started eating when she saw the headlines on the cover of the news paper which Sesshomaru was reading. “Oh my god” she said, quickly snapping the news paper from him and started reading the article.

“Big shot president Sesshomaru Hirashi of Inutaisho Corporation has finally landed himself a girl, though we do not know the full description of his new girlfriend, she happens to be a teenage girl who is a student at the Orchards High all girls school, has the twenty five year old Sesshomaru Hirashi decided to date teenage girls instead of woman his own age, people say that these two love birds have already gone down the road of the sexual relationship, as this young girl only looks the age of fourteen or fifteen from the photo’s it seems that she must really have a thing for older men, could this relationship last and how will the girls parents take it knowing that their teenage daughter is in a relationship with a grown man” Rin read out.

“Sexual relationship, age fourteen or fifteen, into older men, why those incompetents saying those things about me when they aren‘t even true” Rin said, trying to remain calm and collected. “Unfortunately this is what you will have to deal with for a while but don’t worry this wont last for ever” Sesshomaru told her. “Don’t worry, how am I suppose to face everyone at school now, surly they would have probably heard about it” Rin said putting her head in her hands. “I cant believe this is actually happening, if only I had said no when you offered me a ride home then none of this would have happened” Rin said mostly to herself. “If you didn’t accept you would have never met me” Sesshomaru told her making Rin look up at him.

“I remember seeing you that day, you were at your bus stop and was looking at me, I could tell before you ran of that the way you looked at me was a look that no one could forget” he said. “What look would that be” Rin asked him also remembering that day “the look of love” Sesshomaru told her. “I can see it in your eyes now, even though you might be pissed because all of this is happening to you but I know that you are happy that it is because you are here with me and that is what you want am I wrong” Sesshomaru told her. “You think I am in love with you, that’s just plain ridiculous” Rin replied. “Then prove me wrong” he walked over to her and stood in front of her. ‘I cant believe I’m going to do this’ Sesshomaru thought why leaning his face down towards hers. ‘What’s he doing’ Rin thought watching him getting closer and closer, she felt like she was going to collapse.

Sesshomaru was close and in that quick second he kissed her on the cheek, which surprised Rin because she thought he was going to kiss her on the lips. Sesshomaru pulled away and then walked out of the kitchen leaving a stunned Rin just sitting their. ‘Was he actually going to kiss me but decided not to, so he just kissed me on the cheek” tones of thoughts were running through Rin’s head at that moment. Sesshomaru grabbed his briefcase and jacket and then headed out the front door. The limo drove of when another limo pulled up waiting for Rin to take her to school.
