In The Arms Of The Angel

All I could see was light. It was brighter than the sun to my eyes. I felt like I was floating on a cloud. I couldn't feel the pain in my body for once and I enjoyed it.
"Is this a dream?" I asked out loud.
"No Kagome. This is the way to Heaven." said a male voice.
I was startled that someone answered me. I looked around and found nothing... just light.
"What am I doing here?" I asked.
"You are here because that foul Lord Naraku left you to bleed to death with your open wounds. You belong here Kagome and always have." said the voice again.
"Please come back to me Kagome!" said another voice.
I jumped a little and realized the voice sounded familar. "Who's that?" I asked the other voice.
"That is your friend Sango trying to call you back to her." said the voice.
"I don't want to go back though." I said.

Sango cried and called out to her friend. Trying to get her to come back to her.
"Don't leave me here Kagome... I don't want to be alone." she said.
"What's going on in here?" said a male voice.
Sango gasped and looked up. Her eyes widened at the sight of a tall demon. His clothes were the finest silk and where white with red flowers on the arms. He had silver hair and gold eyes. He had two swords attached at his hip and stood proud. She knew this was the missing lord.
"He left her here after he was done with her... and... and...SHE'S DEAD!" Sango told the missing lord as she held tighter to Kagome and cried into her hair.
"I see..." the lord said.
He looked at the girl in the arms of the other girl and noticed that she was actually very beautiful, but you couldn't really tell because she was covered in blood.
He started to walk out of the room when... his sword started to pulse at his hip. He stared at it and then looked back at the two girls.

"Kagome?" said the male voice again.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"You have a choice to make child." he said.
"Which choice would that be?" I ask afraid of what the answer will be.
"To die and spend an eternity here or to live again...." said the voice.
Spend all your time waiting
for that second chance
for a break that would make it okay
there's always some reason
to feel not good enough
and it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
oh beautiful release
memories seeps from my veins
let me be empty
and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

The missing lord walked up to the two girls and knelt down so he was eye level with the living one.
"What is your name?" he asked.
"My name's... Sango." Sango said while looking up at him in his golden eyes.
"I'm Lord Sesshomaru. Who is she?" Sesshomaru said looking down at the dead girl.
"Her name is... was Kagome." Sango said crying again and looking away.

"I don't know which I should choose." I say torn between where to go.
"Take some time to think it through child." said the voice.
"Kagome... I need you... please come back...." I hear Sango's voice calling to me.

from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort there

"Why do you call out to her if she is dead?" Sesshomaru asks Sango.
"Because... just maybe... maybe she will be able to hear me... maybe she will return... for me." Sango said looking up at Sesshomaru.
"I... see." Sesshomaru said.

"I like not being able to feel the pain anymore." I say.
"Here you will never feel pain of any kind." the voice says.
"I... think I want to stay here..." I say.
"Are you sure?" the voice asks me.
"I'm just so tired." I say.
so tired of the straight line
and everywhere you turn
there's vultures and thieves at your back
and the storm keeps on twisting
you keep on building the lie
that you make up for all that you lack
it don't make no difference
escaping one last time
it's easier to believe
in this sweet madness oh
this glorious sadness
that brings me to my knees

"What is your greatest wish Sango?" Sesshomaru asked.
"To have Kagome here with me... to have her alive again." Sango answered.
"It wouldn't to be free?" Sesshomaru asks.
"What's freedom... if you can't share it with a dear friend?" she said looking up at him again.
**************************************
"Yeah....." I answer the voice.
"If you can hear this... then you need to come back... Sango needs you here with her." said a voice I didn't recognize at all.
"Who is that?" I ask.
"That is the missing lord from the dinner you served at tonight."
"Why is he... talking to me?" I ask confused.
"Because he is there next to you and Sango... he feels Sango's pain of not having you and so he's reaching out to you."
"Oh...Sango..." I whisper as a tear slips away from my eye as I feel myself being pulled into the next life... for I made my choice.

"I don't feel her anymore... I don't feel her anymore!" Sango cried out.
Sesshomaru grabbed his sword as he too felt her spirit moving away from them. He swung it and waited to see if he did it in time.
"What did you just do?!" asked Sango.
"My sword is a healing sword... if anything can bring her back it's my sword. I just hope I did it in time." Sesshomaru said as he looked at Kagome.

"Nooooooo!" I scream as I feel the pain starting to return to me.
"Lord Sesshomaru has chosen to over rule your choice child. I am truly sorry that you have to go back to that world of pain. Maybe just maybe it wont last forever like you think it will. Have hope child and you might be surprised in the end." said the voice as everything went black once again.
