Passionate Visions

Thank you, Angie, for the comment! I love comments, people send more! ;) I'm not sure what a rin-rin is, but the story is mainly going to be Sesshoumaru/Kaiya, though I'm thinking about making it a Kagome/Inuyasha/Kaiya/Sesshoumaru plot. In other words, I/K, I/Kaiya, Kaiya/Sesshoumaru triangle or quadrangle. After all, there will be many obstacles for either man Kaiya might end up with and I'm thinking about playing it up with both because that would also create fun jealousies and rivalries. Hehe. It all depends on what people want. What do you guys think? Add some angst and love twists??

Disclaimer: I own Kaiya and that's it.

Kagome handed a small bowl of ramen to her friend who slowly grasped it with both hands. Kaiya gave a small smile, and Kagome fought back a tear because Kaiya wasn’t even looking at where Kagome knelt, but off to the side where she thought the girl was. The group had settled for the night, choosing not to continue their journey until morning in light of recent events. Kaiya lifted the bowl to her lips and slowly sipped, deciding it was best to eat improperly than to end up with her food everywhere but her mouth. “When will I get to meet your kit, Kagome?” she chose to break the uncomfortable silence. “I’ve never been around children before.”

Inuyasha snorted in between shoveling fistfuls of ramen into his mouth, “Yeah, well, once you’re around this brat, you won’t want to be around children much longer.”

Kaiya knew he sat to her right, his voice gave him away and she shoved him playfully in the shoulder. “You know, if you keep insulting him, Kagome is going to ‘sit’ you into oblivion and I’m going to sit back and laugh.”

“Thank you,” Kagome grinned, shooting Inuyasha a faked venomous look. As much as the hanyou complained, she could tell he missed the little kitsune as much as she did. “We’re still a week or so from the village.”

“Perhaps Kaede will know of something to help you,” Sango volunteered, merely pushing her noodles around without much of an appetite.

Sesshoumaru sat with his back against the tree opposite the group as he observed the princess acting as if nothing had changed as she tried so hard simply to eat a meal. No one had objected to his remaining with the group after Kaiya fell blind, as they all were at a loss of how to handle the situation. The fire crackled, sending up wisps of smoke and embers into the night air. The princess said nothing in response to Sango, and he knew she didn’t desire to get her hopes up. Her affliction could be permanent or only last until her true sight develops, but such an event had not happened in centuries to judge if the side-effects would be permanent.

Setting aside her empty bowl, Kaiya lowered herself back onto the grass, her ebony hair spread about her porcelain face and twisting amongst the blades of dark green as she stared vacantly up at a dark sky she couldn’t see. The breeze which filtered through the trees cooled her skin as it caressed against her flesh and she sighed, letting her amethyst eyes drift shut and tried to picture the stars reflected above the tree tops.

“You girls and your ‘star gazing,’” Inuyasha huffed with amusement as he lay back beside her, propping his hands beneath his head.

Kagome chuckled and set about picking up the discarded dishes, rinsing them out with clean water with Sango’s help. Miroku sat in quiet contemplation, his hands clasped in prayer, his eyes closed in meditation.

“Describe them to me, Inuyasha. Please,” Kaiya asked softly, her eyes opening once more to stare above.

“Hmph.” His golden eyes stared up at the dark heavens, a frown on his face. “Um…well…there are a lot of them out tonight.” At Sango’s snort of derision at his eloquence, he continued a bit louder to drown her out. “There’s this cloudy…thing up at the left and you can see stars peeking through it. It sort of looks like one of Shippou’s scribbles on those drawings he does. And straight above us the stars are in the shape of a…big dog….that’s biting an ugly cat.”

Unbridled laughter escaped Kaiya’s throat, earning a blush from Inuyasha as the others joined in. “Well, apparently we all know what is on your mind.”

Miroku stopped his meditation to glance up at the sky in amusement. “I fail to see a dog chasing a cat. It looks more like a woman, you can see her voluptuous-”

“Hentai! Of course you would be thinking that!”

The resounding thunk of the monk’s head caused even Inuyasha to laugh. “You need to clean up your thoughts a bit, monk. It’s gonna get you in trouble one day,” he taunted, a smirk on his face. Staring up once more towards the sky, he tilted his head to the side. “Actually, I kind of see it. She’s even got two little stars for her-”

“Inuyasha!” Kagome yelled in horrified embarrassment. “You two are such perverts! I have half a mind to ‘sit’ you bo-” Kagome clapped her hands over her mouth when she realized she had said the word, only too late. Inuyasha’ flipped over and smashed into the ground, only because Kaiya was right beside him he ended up pinning her beneath his prone form. They were both lucky Kagome had said the word so softly, or they both would be in a lot of pain.

“Yes, I’m sure this is going to deter him from thinking of women,” Miroku shook his head, dramatic wistfulness upon his face as he stared at the two figures-the unmoving hanyou whose face was a scarlet so brilliant it matched his haori, and a princess whose arms wiggled from beneath. “Inuyasha has all the luck.”

Laughter poured forth from the pinned princess, her face buried in Inuyasha’s neck, and lit up the clearing, before it was joined by the others. Even the stoic Sesshoumaru shook his head in amusement. Lucky indeed.

With cautious steps, Kaiya walked along, trying to lift her feet and follow the sound of the others as they began to leave their camp’s clearing. A palm gently placed itself in the small of her back and she could feel silken hair brush against the bare skin of her neck as a voice softly said in her ear. “I will not let you fall.” Her breath caught in her throat as his breath played along her ear, his words so soft yet so commanding that she knew it was not a lie. His lips barely brushed the crest of her ear, sending a shiver through her body as he pulled back, his hand still there to guide her. With Sesshoumaru beside her, she walked with confidance.

Day three of her blindness became difficult for her as the group struggled through the rocky terrain at the base of yet another mountain they had to ascend. The rocks beneath her feet slipped, but strong arms held her before she could fall. Gently she squeezed the hand at her waist in gratitude. Sesshoumaru had been her near-constant companion since her blindness.

With a swoop of his arms, Sesshoumaru lifted the princess into his arms, carrying her bridal style as her slender arms wrapped around his neck for balance. “I can take the two of us to the top much quicker than you and your human companions can, Inuyasha. We shall await you there.”

“Wait a-” the hanyou began before Kagome cut him off.

“Inuyasha, it’ll be safer for her than trying to climb a mountain. Besides, she can rest.”

“I’m not an invalid,” Kaiya protested as they conversed over her.

Inuyasha grinned, despite the weariness of allowing Sesshoumaru to be alone with the girl. He had begun to despise the glances he caught Sesshoumaru giving to the girl and didn’t trust his despised brother in the least. But he also knew how Kaiya hated to be useless, or considered incapable. “Good. Then you can get camp set up. And I’m expecting some fresh rabbits for dinner by the time we get up there.”

Had Kaiya been in possession of something to throw, she would have aimed at the hanyou’s head. Instead she grinned. “How about dog? At least with dog-meat stew, the beast will finally have had a bath.”

“Keh,” he crossed his arms over his chest defensively. “I bathe.”

“Once a month doesn’t count, little brother,” Sesshoumaru snorted as his grip on the girl tightened. Ignoring the protests pouring from the fuming hanyou, he took off, his powerful legs pushing off the ground until they seemed to fly rather than scale the mountain.

Kaiya’s grip around his neck tightened as her stomach flopped and the wind rushed past her face, whipping her ebony locks until they entwined with brilliant silver. She could feel the warmth of his body pressed tightly against her, his even breaths against her neck as she sighed into his hold.

He could feel her response and tightened his grip on her, feeling the soft flesh beneath the silk of her kimono. Briefly he closed his eyes, feeling the wind against his skin coupled with her warmth and scented deeply, inhaling the aroma that was purely the girl in his arms. She was sakura and jasmine, a distinct smell he had quickly distinguished from their other companions. At night he would lie across from her at camp with his eyes closed and simply inhale her scent, letting it soothe the restless beast within him. He would imagine caressing her pale skin, as soft as a fresh fallen petal. He would watch her breasts rise and fall beneath satin cloth as she slept restlessly, and longed to ease what plagued her so she would sleep in peace. With an inaudible thump he landed at the top of the mountain, but refused to relinquish his hold on her body.

“Sesshoumaru, are we here?” Kaiya ventured forth her question when she found her voice again. In answer, she found herself gently placed upon her feet and she tilted her head to the side, trying to allow her other senses to detect what she could of the area. “Is there a spring nearby?” She was sweaty and dirty, or at least to her own senses. “You probably desire a bath as well so you don’t smell of human.” Her voice was teasing, yet held a serious note to it. Kagome had told her of Sesshoumaru’s dislike for humans, and she could only imagine how he despised having to touch one all day.

His golden eyes remained impassive, but something flashed across them at her comment. He did not desire her to think she disgusted him. “Some humans are not as horrible as others,” he replied, though his words did little to convey his actual feelings on the matter. Some humans were not horrible at all. Her face seemed to fall a bit and he internally sighed as he placed his hand upon her back to lead her towards the small pond not far from where they landed. She kicked off her sandals near the water’s edge and could feel the moist ground beneath her feet as he led her until water brushed against her feet. “Do you need help?” he asked uncertainly.

Kaiya turned towards him, amusement dancing in her unseeing violet eyes. “I am capable of bathing, I assure you.” He stepped back and she waited a moment until she felt he had most likely left the area to give her privacy. Slowly she peeled the kimono off her form, pulling it down her shoulders and allowing it to fall in a pool at her feet. Kicking it back from the water, she stepped out and slowly waded into the water, trying to keep her senses alert. Dunking beneath the water, she emerged, her hair cascading in dark strands behind her as water rivulets dripped down her bare skin.

Sesshoumaru stood silently in the trees, his golden orbs intently watching the girl. It had never been his intention to spy on her, but as she slipped the kimono off her shoulders, he had been transfixed at the creamy beauty that had been revealed. Water dripped enticing down her breasts, perfect orbs that tantalized his senses. His mouth grew dry as he watched her nipples slowly harden and perk up in response to the cool water. The water continued its descent down her body, down her smooth stomach and the expanse of her hips. He wanted to bury himself within her waiting body, to explore all his eyes saw with every sense he possessed. So often as he walked beside her, his hands holding her steady, he had wondered how her body appeared beneath the confines of her clothing. His thoughts drifted to her response at his breath against her skin so innocently and wondered her response when that breath was no longer innocent.

Silently he shed his armor and slipped out of his own constrictive attire as he watched her thread her fingers through her wet locks. He slipped into the water opposite her and his body sliced through, parting the waves silently as he approached his goal, his hair floating a silver halo around his toned, ivory body.

Feeling his approach, Kaiya turned towards him, her body slowly wading as she stepped back until her body was pressed against a rock within the water. He leisurely pinned her, his body not touching, but his presence overwhelming her senses.

Stunning amethyst eyes drifted shut as he leaned towards her, his nose barely brushing across the wet skin of her collar as he drew in her scent. “You said I should bathe, Princess Kaiya,” his voice was deep, husky. It was the first time he had used her name. Her amethyst eyes slid open and his breath caught in his throat as it seemed she was staring directly into his eyes.

“For one who has become my eyes, there is no need to be formal. Call me Kaiya, please…Sesshoumaru,” her voice was barely a whisper tickling against his face, so close to hers. She imagined his face, his eyes boring into hers as if he would steal her soul, golden eyes hooded and impassioned as he gazed at her behind lowered lashes. She wanted them heated, full of blind desire when he looked at her, when he held her so protectively.

His body pushed forward, sending gentle waves against her skin as he closed the inch between their bodies so her breasts were pressed against the firm muscles of his chest. She could feel a throbbing warmth between her legs as something hard and silken pressed between them. She had listened to Miroku and the girls enough to know what it was, and what it meant. Her breath labored, she tilted her head towards the sky, pressing against the rock behind her while he once more leant in to trail his lips gently across the bare skin of her neck up behind her ear.

Tenderly he brushed the wet strands of hair behind her shoulder while he unhurriedly trailed lips up to her ear, a mere brush of skin that caused pleasurable goosebumps to emerge on her flesh. His hands shadowed down her arms until they reached her hands beneath the water and gently raised them. Pressing them above her head against the rock, he now properly had her pinned. With delicious pleasure, he listened as her heartbeat raced; loving the effect he had on her body. Thrusting his hips into her giving flesh would be so easy and he slowly pushed forward, stifling the moan in his throat at the slick warmth which enveloped him as he settled between her legs, the tip of his shaft so close to its sheath that it was creating havoc on his senses.

His lips no longer content to merely brush against her skin, his teeth nipped against her neck, coaxing a moan out of the princess in his arms. His lips trailed from her neck to her face and he pulled back a breath away as he looked into her hooded violet eyes. She was striking; her cheeks flushed a soft rose, her lips parted slightly to allow little pants of breath to escape. Leaning forward, he captured her mouth with his own, tenderly at first as if he was afraid she would disappear at the action. Her hands flexed against his, and as her mouth timidly opened as he brushed his tongue against her bottom lip, the affectionate kiss became hungry and demanding. He released her hands as his own slid down her silken body to grasp her hips. Parting her legs, his clawed hands clasped her thighs as he wrapped them around his body. Her hands clenched in his hair, on his shoulders as he began to rock against her, sending waves splashing into the rock. He groaned, one hand moving to caress her cheek and hold her to him.

As he began to press into her awaiting opening, she gasped, and pulled away, her face turning from him. “Why are you doing this?” she whispered, her voice unsteady.

Her hands clenched at his chest, ready to push him away and he frowned at the panicked expression on her face. He bent forward to claim her luscious lips once again, to force her into recognizing how much he wanted her, to know how much she wanted him in return. “I’m human, Lord Sesshoumaru,” she whispered before his lips found hers, the words she remembered Kagome telling her returning full force. He hated humans, and she knew the politics of royalty enough to know no demon lord would wish a human mate…especially a mate who was the spawn of his enemy.

At her words, the formality of her tone, he began to come to his senses, to force his desire into the back of his mind. He would not, could not, follow in his father’s footsteps. He would not be weak. He released her, despising the hesitation his body had in following his orders, especially at the rebellious thought that his mind did not wish to release her either. He would not apologize, nor would he explain his actions, especially actions he did not understand or want to admit to. “You should get dressed. The others will be arriving shortly.” And he was gone before he could see the tears slip unbidden down her cheeks, though his scent would not allow the tears to escape his tortured senses.
