Disclaimer:
I do not own InuYasha, nor make money from this story.
High Tension
WOOO HOOO!! I don't own Inuyasha or any of
the characters related to the show...otherwise I
would be having my way with them right now!
Thanks again to all the reviewers you are truly
appreciated and I like to hear from you. Your
thoughts mean alot to me and I cherish them
all....even the haters!!!! Bring it on baby!!
Anyways thank you to all who are reading and
enjoying....you all bring a smile to my face and
heart! (Mushy I know, but sooo true!)
I do have a comment about one reviewer though
by the name of 'IrritatedFan'. I'm sorry hunny
that you don't like my story, but if you come
reading without a sense of humor or
imagination then you are in the wrong place.
I didn't take your review as a flame or even
harsh...it was your thoughts and I respect them,
but don't judge my other reviewers for what
they say, thats very rude and you should
respect what they have to say as well. I
read what you had to say and chose not to
listen to any of it because I write the way I
write....and others write the way they want to.
Creativity and Imagination is what makes
each story special and if you can't handle it..
I'm sorry. Thats life hunny so you better learn
how to deal with it.
Chapter 4: High Tension
Inuyasha sat up in a panic, and was quickly overwhelmed with
a dizzy spell. He looked around his surroundings and rubbed
the side of his head where a large bump now was. He knew
the bump would be gone soon so he didn't worry about the
pain, but there was something he was suppose to be worrying
about. What the hell was it though? Wait a minute. Why was
he in an old broke down hut? Why was there broken glass
all over the floor?
He poke his nose into the air and breathed deeply.
Why did the hut smell of fresh blood? Blood? Was he in fight?
Thoughts raced through his head as he tried to recall
what he was fighting. He sniffed the air once more and
this time something triggered his memory.
The blood....it smelled liked...Kagome.....
All of a sudden all the past events flooded his mind.
Kagomes entrance, the exchanged stares, the crude
remarks, Kagomes attack on Kikyo, and then the
vase. Kagome had tried to drag him down with her, but
he was just too stubborn, and he wasn't quick enough, but
as long as Kagome wasn't hit by it he was fine.
He pushed himself up off the floor and looked around.
He saw blood on the walls and on the floors. The two
were past settling any dispute now, it was obviously the
signs of a fight to the death. Worry made its way
across his features and he furrowed his brows together
in thought.
'What if Kagome is dead?'
He pushed the thought from his head and knew he had
to find her soon. He wouldn't let thoughts like that overwhelm
him, his Kagome was much stronger than Kikyo.
Something on the floor caught his attention and he
bent down to pick it up. It was a piece of long black
hair. He sniffed it and sighed in relief when he
couldn't smell Kagomes shampoo on it. He smirked
and dropped the hair to the wooden floor. Kagome was
giving her one hell of a fight and he was sure of that.
He walked to the entrance and gazed outside, he
could smell Kagome and decided to follow her scent. He would
find her and when he did he was going to help her
kick Kikyos ass. It was time for the dirty wench
to go down. He took a deep breath and stepped out
onto the soft grass.
"I'm coming for you Kagome. Just hold on."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Miroku had been pacing across the village for a long
time now. No signs of Inuyasha, Kagome, or Sango
were to be seen. He was beginning to get worried and
couldn't help but wonder if he should be out looking for
them. What if they were in danger? Or hurt? He gazed
intensely into the forest wondering what would be the
best decision. He took a deep breath and walked over
to Shippou's sleeping form. The little fox demon had
worn himself out while jumping around looking for
Kagome. He held such a rare and pure innocence.
Suddenly a loud snapping of branches came from the
forest. Miroku raised his hand and prepared to attack.
Then the figure came stumbling through the bushes.
"Wind tun.............Sango?"
Sango looked up at Miroku and smirked.
"What? Did you think I was a big bad demon?"
Miroku looked at Sango closely and noticed something
different about her.
"Sango.....are you drunk?"
She stopped in her tracks and looked at Miroku.
"Do I look druuunk?"
"I'm not sure, but you smell drunk."
Sango shifted uncomfortably from one leg to the other.
"Listen I was a little stressed out, and a few drinks
sounded calming....so I went with my instincts and
had a couple."
Miroku was about to respond when another loud
snapping of branches was heard. He quickly
looked to the area where the sound was and
noticed Sango do the same thing. She may be
drunk, but her senses were still sharp. The
snapping got louder and soon another figure
emerged from the bushes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kikyo ran at a steady pace towards the village.
That stupid slut Kagome would be sorry she ever
messed with her. Nothing would stop her from
killing her now, nothing was strong enough.
She could feel her powers returning to normal
strength and as soon as she had the chance she
would increase them with an ancient chant, but
it was too soon to do that now. The time was
drawing near though, and she would stop at
nothing.
"Get ready to die Kagome, these are your last hours."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kagome walked briskly across the dirt and grass and
quietly sang to herself.
She was sore from all the fighting, but she was
determined. No way in hell would Kikyo ever conquer
her. Kikyo had been nothing but a thorn in her
side since day one. All the times she had seen her
with Inuyasha tore her apart inside. At first she
just excepted it, but not this time, this time was
different, and one of them would perish forever.
Forever? The thought sent a shiver down her spine.
She wouldn't let it get to her though...the bitch was
going down and she would never have the chance
to hurt her or Inuyasha again. The pain would end
today. She smirked inwardly at the cruel joke her mind
played to her.
'Yeah the pain will either end physically or emotionally.'
If Kikyo would die today it would end emotionally and
she knew that and was grateful for the hope of it, and
if she were to.....die....the pain would end physically.
Her mind was beginning to get to her. She needed to
get to the village so she could get to Kikyo and kill
her. The constant torture of her mind was beginning
to eat away at her inner strength....she would not give
up today. She silently made a decision in her mind.
'I choose to live'
The sudden chill in the wind brought her back to
reality, and then another thought pushed itself into
her thoughts.
'How do you kill something that's already dead?'
To be continued....
Yes my lovies...the chapter was short and not much
happened but I just wanted to show the emotions
and thoughts of everyone before the big show
down. I'm gonna try to make it for next chapter,
but i'm not totally sure if it will work. I hope it will
though. *crosses fingers* Thanks for reading and
I hope you will continue when I add more.
Peace out my little lovers and haters!
