Inuyasha walked slowly into the castle and he was greeted by his mother. He pulled her into the closest room and unfortunately it was his father’s study. “I know all about the letter Ma” he said softly, trying his hardest to stay calm. Izayoi saw her sons eyes flash slightly and she knew she had to mask the scent of fear that was washing over her. “I don’t know what your talking about Inuyasha, honestly what are you talking about son?” she asked as she sat down in her husbands chair. Inuyasha growled “Don’t patronize me you know damn well what I’m talking about” he said angrily. Something in him just finally snapped and he fell down crying. Sesshomaru was the only one that could make him feel so weak, so vulnerable, and so pitiful. “How could you let him do it? How could you let him hurt him like that? How could you let it happen?!” he shouted at her. Izayoi broke down “I didn’t know and if I had I would have done everything in my power to stop him” she cried “Go to him, he’s missed you” she said drying her eyes.

Inuyasha did just as his mother had said and went to go find Sesshomaru. He was out back by the lake “Hey” he said trying to cover up the fact that he had been crying. Sesshomaru ignored him “Do not talk to me half-breed” he said viciously. Inuyasha’s eyes had a hurt look in them. Inuyasha sat down next to his brother/lover “Don’t be this way” he said softly, kissing Sesshomaru’s exposed neck. Sesshomaru pushed him away “Don’t touch me” he said harshly but Inuyasha wasn’t giving up on him. Inuyasha grabbed his brother’s face and forced the older demon to look at him. Inuyasha kissed his parted lips and looked into his brother’s eyes but all he could see in his eyes was a pair of seemingly emotionless eyes. “You’re not mad at me, not directly” he said softly and Sesshomaru growled. “You know nothing about me, you know nothing period” he said with a sneer. Inuyasha laughed “I know a lot about you, I know things about you that you don’t even know. 1) Your eye twitches when you’re lying. 2) You drum your fingers when you’re nervous or worried. 3) You snore and hum in your sleep. 4) Your favorite color is white because it’s pure and untainted. 5) No matter how much you try to deny it, turn me away, or try to hurt me: I know with out a doubt that you love me. 6) And no matter how much you try to deny it, try to turn me away, or try to hurt me: I know for certain that I love you” he said leaving a trail of kisses all over Sesshomaru’s neck.

Sesshomaru still wasn’t talking to him “You’re not directly mad at me, you’re mad because I left you and you think that I’m going to leave you literally” he said calmly. Sesshomaru growled “Don’t use that psychological bullshit on me” he said bitterly. Inuyasha rested his head on his brother’s shoulder and surprisingly Sesshomaru didn’t push him away. Inuyasha understood his brother well: Sesshomaru’s mother died when he was very young and Sesshomaru thought that she was the only one that loved him. When she died Sesshomaru turned his back on love and he isn’t able to love people right. He doesn’t understand how to love someone because the only other person he ever loved left him forever. Inuyasha understood all of this and knew that he had to teach his lover two things. He had to teach Sesshomaru 1) How to love and be loved: and he also had to teach Sesshomaru 2) that he was never going to leave him.

They sat like this for a very long time until “Where did you go” Sesshomaru finally said, swallowing his pride for once. That’s one of the things Inuyasha loved about his brother: his pride. “I went to go talk to Sango, the demon slayer” Inuyasha said quietly. Sesshomaru frowned “Why?” he said with accusation laced in his voice. Inuyasha laughed “I had to ask her advice on something” he said, it was only a half truth. Sesshomaru’s frowned deepened. “Let me tell you something that I know about you Inuyasha, when you lie you’re hesitant in your speech” he said with a fake calm. Inuyasha sat up “Okay so it was a half-truth” he said quietly. Sesshomaru looked at him as if he wanted him to continue “I had to ask her advice on what I should tell Kagome when she comes to visit in a couple days” He said quietly and watched Sesshomaru’s expression. “Why would you need advice on what to tell her?” he asked once again with a fake calm. Inuyasha sighed “Sesshomaru she’s like a kid sister to me, I can’t help it if she’s in love with me, and I’ve tried to tell her a thousand times that I’m not interested in her. I even chased after Kikyo all the time just to give her a visual display” he said helplessly.

Sesshomaru turned away from him, unwilling to believe that his brother was telling the truth. Inuyasha began to get frustrated. He crawled in front of his brother and stared him dead in the eye “Your so stubborn” he said after a while. Inuyasha put his finger on his brother’s forehead and pushed the older demon until he was on his back. “I guess I’m just going to have to show you how much I love you” he whispered in his brother’s elf-like ear. Inuyasha smirked when he saw the quizzical look on his brother’s face. Inuyasha began kissing his brother in his neck, cheek, and lips: then he leaned forward “Will you let me take you as my mate tonight Sesshomaru?” he said tenderly.
