A sound of protest came from the back of her throat as darkness began to invade her sight. Before the comfortable oblivion of sleep took over her mind she heard the black clad male whisper in her softly tipped ear, nibbling it lightly.

“My name is Kadaj.”

His face was forever imprinted in her mind, right next to the other silver haired demon.

Emerald eyes gazed at the carpet at his feet; hearing nothing for there was nothing to hear. And he was lost in the swimming pool of thoughts in his mind. All he could see was images from last night. Visions of claws, stripes and silver hair swirled in that pool. It wasn’t that he was mad a demon pup got the best of him, because he wasn’t. Reno knew that he wasn’t any match for that demon pup.

But it was what the pup had done when the bastard dragon demon had cheated and attacked the werewolf from behind with no warning. Immediately the pup had been angered and had attacked the dragon lord and the two words he had spoken to the red head baffled him.

“Reno”

His name jerked him out of his reverie. Emerald eyes looked up in a haze and caught cold light blue eyes. “Sir?”

“Who had attacked my daughter?” The Lord Lycanthrope looked none too happy, even with the lilt to his lips.

“The Ryuu’s had disobeyed your order and trespassed on Lycanthrope land. Ryuukotsei was leading them, sir.”

“Hm” The silver haired lord grunted, before leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes. “What did the dragon peon want?”

The red haired werewolf shifted his weight and winced as his wounded side pulled. He still hadn’t been able to even change his clothes let alone check the wound. “The Dragon Lord wished to have Miss Strife. The demon is a pedophile and…” Reno’s voice cracked as his anger rose, his beast growling within his head, “sir, and the things he said he wished to do to Miss Strife…”

“Hn. I understand. Did you find out who the pup was?”

Reno paused, “I’ll give you one guess: we thought he had been killed with his father and the dog’s mate.”

“So it is true. The boy still lives. Therefore he is the Lord of the Dogs and they still stand. The most powerful surviving youkai. The dragon had him all this time.”

Reno nodded. For some it was a good thing. The Dog General had always kept the youkai in order. And when he had still been alive, it was rumored that his only son was growing to be just like him. However, the great youkai had been killed by dishonorable ways and his household and mansion burned. That had happened almost two decades ago.

“You may leave Reno.”

Turning, the red head bodyguard and martial artist expert had only taken four steps before the man behind him spoke again.

“Werewolf,” cold blue eyes smiled at him, “I want that pup dead.”

Emerald eyes narrowed.

"I'm sorry, werewolf."

The dog demon's words echoed in his head as he stormed out of his master's study. "I'm sorry too, yo."
