Part 4

“ My lord what was all the commotion about?”


Amaya’s face darkened as he heard his mistress approaching steps. He slowly put his unconscious bride down on the soft bed and pulled the multiple silk drapes to enclose his bedding area. He made sure that his sleeping prince were safe from being spot from outsiders before turn to face his mistress who was standing outside of his chamber door.


Naomi was the younger sister of the Lord of Southern Land. She was given to him as a gift and hostage telling him that the Southern lord didn’t want to fight him. But lately her behaviour was getting unacceptable; she took up the game of killing his palace servants, which mostly consider humans. He had nothing against killing humans but he never kill his servant as long as they served him and stay loyal.


Two days ago she had asked permission to go back to Southern land and visit her brother. Frankly he would had send her even if she didn’t ask. And a day ago he had sensed Sesshoumaru wandering near the boarder of northern land. After a minute of pondering and asked the unresponsive Ume for her opinion, he decided to grab his bride back to his palace.


Amaya was shocked to see his bride grown up to such a beauty. A true ice prince…Amaya wanted to break him, make him plead, seeing him submit…he must have him…


Without a second thought he had cast a sleeping spell on his bride who was unaware of his presence. He had spared the human pup that was with the Inu prince but he had taken care of the little toad who dears to insult him.


Amaya wondered why his bride would keep a human pup with him. He had heard that his bride detested human to the fullest…well that was not his concern anymore, after all what can a pup do any way.


“ My lord! I’m back, did you miss me?” Naomi beamed as she saw the handsome youkai lord emerged from his chamber. She rushed to his side and hang on to his arm like she always does. Although she was smiling she was actually fuming within. She could smell the blood and sex on his lord. It was clear that her lord just finished with that bitch or who ever it is. She wanted to kill the bitch that dares to take her place by her lord’s side and tear her to pieces…but she couldn’t afford what might her lord think of her. She already made a mistake by using the palace servants as her chew toy.

“ My lord…who are you planning to marry?” Naomi gritted her teeth as she asked the taiyoukai which seems to ignored her presence. She hated the bride…as long as her lord’s bride was not her…she hated…

“ Sesshoumaru, the Lord of Western Land.” Naomi was taken totally off guard by her lord’s answer. Sure, she knew that her lord would bed anyone as long as he like it and it was beautiful but she didn’t expect her lord to marry a male…the Western lord…she had heard about him. He was indeed famous for his beauty and ruthlessness. Rumour said that he was the most gorgeous creature ever walk the Western Land…

“ My lord…did you marry him because you wanted the western land?” This was the only reason that seemed reasonable enough to her. Amaya didn’t answer she could think his marriage to the Inu prince for whatever reason she like as long as she didn’t interfere.


“ It's okay my lord, you’ll have the western land soon enough. As long their lord was under your control.” Naomi beamed happily, as her lord didn’t deny what she said. Her lord didn’t fall for the infamous Inu youkai; it was just a plan to get his hand on the western land. Naomi was so happy that she didn’t notice the disgusted expression on Amaya’s face, directed at the tiger youkai that hung on his arm.


Amaya arched his eyebrow. She was truly stupid…he wondered how the cunning Southern Lord could be related to her…

Deep behind the silk drapes the figure winced as his sensitive hearing picked up the conversation outside of the chamber. His normally cold golden eyes flickered with an unknown emotion…a moment later the usually icy coldness turned into a glass like gold…

Yukiko sighed as she watch the ceremony ended and her lord walked back to his chamber with his bride securely in his arms. The Inu youkai had sleep through the wedding, but she couldn’t blame him since he was unconscious because of her lord.

The Western lord was truly a sight to see. Everyone in the great hall no matter male or female was drooling over the sleeping beauty in their lord’s arms. The whitish silver ceremony kimono only added to his unearthly charms. Turning him into a mystic creature form from the snow…the ice prince…the ice lord of western land…

The ceremony went better than she had expected…well except the dead silence when their lord walked into the great hall with his bride in his arms and the eerie glares his majesty send to any one who dares to drool over the unconscious beauty, his unconscious beauty. Which consider the majority in the room, actually everyone was drooling except her and her mute sister. (Yes, even Naomi was drooling.)

The wedding went really smooth after his majesty glared down everyone including the guests from east and southern land. (Which didn’t surprised her his majesty didn’t invite any one from the Western land. If he did all hell will break loose between the north and west.)

Yukiko scowled as she glanced at the Southern lord who came and just barely made it to attend the wedding ceremony and now seated beside his sister. She noticed that Naomi whispered something to her brother’s ear and the sibling shared a very cocky smile…


The smile on the southern lord’s face was alarming but the meaningful smile on Naomi’s face was worse... The two of them was creeping her out…She was expecting the tiger youkai fuming through the ceremony but instead she was smiling.


Something was wrong… but she just couldn’t put her finger on it…

A run down village located some where in western land. The village was a disaster after the recent visit of a gang of bandit. Women were taken away to be sold, young men were mostly kill, the ones left pretty unharmed were the children and the old.

The ones that was left in the village stared as they saw the bandit gang that just left couple of minutes ago scrambled back in the village and pushed the captured women ahead of them.

“ What’s going on?” The village head asked as he and most of the villagers took in the frightened women and trying to clamed them down.


“ There’s…there’s a YOUKAI chasing us!” One the women screamed as she pointed toward the entrance of the village.


“ The youkai…youkai kill half number of those bandit…in a single blast…” The woman who was hiding behind the village head said breathlessly.


The villagers stared as they saw the remaining bandit position themselves and ready to attack. Then slowly as the fog lurking the village started to clear they saw a two-headed oni moving toward them.


The bandits charged with a battle cry and to the villagers’ horror one of the oni’s head’s mouth opened and the blast of fire engulfed half number of the bandit and the other head’s mouth blast the chilling ice and took care of the remaining bandits. The villagers’ face paled and turned green as they heard the dying screams of the bandit who was being burn to death.


The villagers started to back off from the approaching oni as it headed toward them. The village head swallowed hard and shakily stood in front of the oni as it stop twenty feet away from them.

“ Th…thank y…you for helping…us…w…what…can I…do…f…for…y…you?” The villager head stared as he finally took a good look at the oni. There was travelling bags on the back of it. It belonged to some one…possibly another youkai…then he jaw dropped as he watched the little bundle on the back of the two-headed oni beside the travelling bags started to stir and revealed a young girl yawning and rubbing her eyes.

“ Who are you? And where am I?”
