InuYasha got dressed quickly and then helped Kagome dry off, "Feel any better?" he asked when he went to her side. Kagome nodded slightly, "I'm not as sore, I'm not sure if it was the hot spring or you.." she gave him a smile and then looked to her hands. He blushed slightly and rubbed his haori over her shoulders, drying her off, "Well.. that musky smell I noticed before isn't as strong, it seems your scent is changing, but I don't understand why.." she looked back at him confused, "How can one's scent change?" she asked as InuYasha pulled her to her feet, turned her towards him and tied his Haori around her comfortably. "Anyone's scent can change.. like.. if a child lost both of his parents his scent wouldn't be that of a child, nothing that sooths the nose." he half smiled as he finished tieing up the haori, "His scent would become salty, like tears.." Kagome wrapped one arm over her stomach and tapped her finger on her chin with her other hand, "But.. why would my scent change? Is it permanent?" he shook his head, "I believe why your scent changed is because you just went through a big deal of agony and pain." he went over and grabbed her bag, throwing it on his shoulder, "But some of that pain is gone, so your scent is not as strong." Kagome nodded, "Ooh.. I think I get it now.." she walked up to his side and wrapped her arms around his own, leaning her head on his shoulder, "What does a pregnant woman's scent smell like..?" she asked quietly. He looked at his and bit his lip, "Depends." he said as he shifted her bag on his shoulder, "If the woman is blessed with the child and wishes to have it, her scent will be something so soothing any demon would be engulfed in it.. that is if they didn't want to kill her." Kagome gave a light chuckle and nodded slightly, "But when a woman doesn't wish to bear a child, her scent is.. hmm.." he thought for a moment, "The word is hard to find." Kagome looked up at him, "It's ok, you can tell me the word later when you figure it out." she smiled at him then stalled in her walking, "Ouch!" she seethed as she looked down at the ground, lifting her foot, "Stupid thorns.." she mumbles and bit her lip, forcing the small tears back in as she let InuYasha go and sat down. "What is it Kagome?" he asked as he knelt beside her, "Ahh.." he took her foot in his hands and picked the thorns out carefully. "Still hurts.." Kagome whimpered and InuYasha slipped his hands around her legs and torso, picking her up bridal style, "I'll carry you." Kagome smiled impishly and sighed, "Thank you InuYasha.."

"Where are those two, whats taking them so long?" asked Sango as she paced back and forth, "It is passed noon and they left this morning." Sango bit her thumb nail and kept her other hand behind her back, worried. "Just calm down Sango, they will be back, besides InuYasha is with her there is nothing that can.." he stopped and noticed two figures in the distances, "Kagome!" shouted Shippou as he bounded off towards them. Kagome caught Shippou in her arms and nuzzled his forehead, "How are ya Shippou?" she asked as Shippou held out a lollipop, now throwing so many questions at Kagome and InuYasha just understanding him what hard. "Enough!" shouted InuYasha and Shippou jumped off of Kagome, "Fine, be that way!" he turned on his heel and walked back to the hut, licking the lollipop as he did.

"Kagome, InuYasha, what took you so long, we got worried." Sango said as she took Kagome's bag from InuYasha, "I... uh.. had some trouble trying to wash Kagome, but she isn't as sore now." Kagome nodded as InuYasha put her down, "Trouble huh.." Miroku said with a smug look, "What were you two doing?" InuYasha turned red and looked away, "None of your business, I simply washed Kagome!" he growled and Kagome laughed lightly, walking inside the hut with Sango. Miroku walked up to InuYasha and nudged him lightly, "How can you not do something with a woman that beautiful? What was she like?" he asked as his face turned round and his eyes got big, drool slipping from the corner of his mouth. InuYasha glared and hit Miroku on the head, "Stay out of it!" Miroku hit the ground, his leg twitching and InuYasha huffed, walking away quickly.

Inside the hut Kagome received clothing from Keade and put them on, no this time they weren't the same as Kikyou's, but just a plain old faded out pink Kimono. Keade left the hut to go get some more herbs and thats when Kagome had her chance. "Sango?" The young demon slayer looked up at Kagome, "Hm? What is it Kagome?" Kagome sat down and shifted slightly, "When InuYasha and I were at the hotsprings... we...we--" she shuddered and looked at her loyal friend, "I understand." Sango said, although she didn't look surprised, she sure as hell was. "Kagome.. I know I'm no good at giving speeches but.." she sat at the opposite side of the small fire, looking at Kagome, "Please don't do anything you will end up regretting, I don't want him to hurt you.. again." she said and Kagome nodded slightly, "I know... but.. but he said he loved me, and I trust him." Sango stayed quiet, 'He admitted his love to her?' she thought but Kagome broke the silence, "And I knew it was his first time too... as it should have been mine as well.." Sango looked at her friend sympathecally, "Kagome, what happened with Musso.. that.. that doesn't count as your first, you may have lost your virginity to him, but when it is your first time, you are in love. And.. InuYasha was your first." Sango tried explaining and Kagome smiled slightly, "Thank you Sango.."

Later in the evening when Keade was fixing up dinner for everyone, Sango sat quietly in the corner. 'She really did that with InuYasha..?' she thought and then looked over to the hanyou resting in the opposite corner, 'But I thought..--' her own thoughts were interupted as InuYasha glared, and yelled "What are you looking at Sango?!" Sango jumped and looked away to the ground, embarassed, "It's nothing InuYasha.." He stared at her suspicsiously then grunted and leaned into the corner more. "Dinner is ready." Keade announced, but InuYasha just got up and went outside. Kagome watched as he left and was going to go after him but saw Sango get up and follow. 'Oh no.. maybe I shouldn't have told her..' Kagome thought dreadfully.

Once outside Sango grabbed onto InuYasha's shoulder lightly, "Inu.. InuYasha?" He glanced back at her then away, "Feh, what is it?" Sango gave him a half smile, "Do.. you think Kagome is pregnant?" His ears folded flat on his head and he took a deep breath, "But, not with Musso?" she later added. InuYasha turned around glaring at sango, "What makes you think I touched Kagome that way!? You know Curiousity killed the cat Sango!" Sango giggled, "Its written on your face, you are in love, you have been from the start." He blushed and shook his head, "You are insane, Insane!" he grumbled and turned his back on her. Sango smiled, "Congratulations InuYasha.." she mumbled and turned walking back to the hut. "Wait!" he called out to her and she turned around, "Do.. do you think if she is pregnant,... do you think I might be the father?" he asked shyly and Sango nodded, "I've got no doubt in the world." he sighed, no longer tensed up.

Darkness engulfed the evening sky and soon it was night. Everyone was asleep, except InuYasha and Kagome. He held her in his arms as she nuzzled his chest gently, "Don't ever leave me." Kagome muttered into his haori. He didn't say anything, he just sat comfortably on the tree branch, Kagome resting gently on his lap, dozing off to sleep. 'I'd never leave you..' he thought to himself and he looked up to the sky beyond the tree branches and leaves. It was clear, and the stars shone brightly.
