Author's note; yes i know it sucks.
I just want to take a moment to say that, YES this is actually a Kouga/Kagome fic. If Inu Yasha seems a little OC, I apologize. But don’t you think it’s time he grew up a little? I’ve read a lot of fics about him being a moron. I don’t think he is. He’s just thick headed. I’ve already explained in chapter two why I think that is. He has come out with a startling statement every now and again.
Now, I’ve never seen the anime, but I’ve read the manga and do you remember when Inu Yasha asked Totosai what was wrong with his sword. “don’t tell me the way to make the fang lighter is to increase my own strength” is what he says (or something to that effect). He has his moments. Not many of them, but he does have them.
I just wanted you to know that Inu Yasha will be getting a lot of story time while I explore his character and grow him up a bit. I know at times it may look like an Inu Yasha fic, but it’s not. I need him to grow as a hanyou so that he can learn what he needs to to let Kagome go, thus leaving the playing field open for Kouga.
Kouga also needs to do some growing up of his own. And he will, I promise.
I know it’s been awhile since I updated. Please bear with me: I just moved and have been without internet for nearly a week and a half. I am writing a chapter now that is already 14 pages long and not ready to stop yet. My Muse has me firmly in her grasp and if not for the fact I have to go to work in a few hours, I would get as much accomplished as I can. I do think I’ll be able to post the chapter in a day or two.
Thank you so much for the reviews, it really helps to see them. I’ve posted this story at fanfiction.net but am thinking of removing it due to lack of reviews. I’ll keep it posted here. I plan on this being a story with lots of chapters, Muse willing.
