Eyes of a Hanyou

Chapter 3

Inuyasha was about to jump off the mountain with a frazzled Kagome. When he realized he left the shards in Kouga’s legs. The minute he put Kagome down Sango and Miroku came up to give her moral and physical support while her legs where desperately giving out. She was a mess her face bruised and swollen where Kouga had hit her. Blood was running down her legs and her arms. Her hair in tangles now mixed with sweat and blood. There was no life in her eyes. She looked tired and mentally drained not to mention her neck was killing her. She felt so dirty and used. All she wanted to do was take a bath to wash the stench of the wolf demon off her bloody bruised body.

Inuyasha growled as he past the other members of the wolf tribe. Ready to strike at anyone who would get in his way? He made it into the entrance of the cave took out his mighty sword out and with a quick slash the jewels came out. He reached over to pick them up so Kagome could purify them.

When he came out of the cave, he looked over and saw Kagome. Pain had stricken him deep. He knew Kouga marked her. He ran over to her and gently scooped up the frantic Miko. And headed back to there camp. The storm drew on. However, that did not stop him from making his mission back to camp. Rain stung him but he did not feel it. Finally, he returned to the campsite. Kagome had passed out from complete exhaustion. Nonetheless, he never put her down. Kilala entered the cave while Sango and Miroku jumped off and rushed over the their friend. Shippo was they are too trying his best to be strong and not grieve in front of Inuyasha. Still, the tears ran down her swollen cheeks. They all sat around Kagome trying to make her as comfortable as possible all trying to reach out there love and support.


The next day came and the sun was shinning down in the cave. Looking for Naraku would have to come another day. Kagome came first.

“Inuyasha.” She whispered.

“Yeah.” He said.

“I want a bath.” She said looking over at him with pleading eyes.


He suddenly left only to scout out a near by hot spring; sniffing the air for any possible demons around. When he was satisfied that there was no present danger around he began sniffing for a near by spring. He darted off to the direction of the water, there were large pine trees surrounding the springs, and soft green grass with little purple flowers. “This is perfect.” He said softly.

He turned around to head back to retrieve Kagome. Everyone was up. Miroku started a fire while Sango started breakfast. Shippo and Kilala curled up with the young girl giving off as much love as they could generate. In a blink of an eye, Inuyasha grabbed Kagome and her yellow backpack, and started running towards the springs. When he arrived, he laid her down on the soft green grass.


“Is their anything I can do for you Kagome?” He asked her softly.

“Inuyasha, please help me. I don’t think I can do this by myself.” She started to cry again.

He knelt down and embraced her with a hug. He wanted so bad to go and find his brother and ask him to take the Tenseiga and revive that fucking wolf only to kill him again.

After a good loving hug and a gentle hand caressing her face, soothing her the only way he knew how. He picked her up and untied the robe that gently fit around the broken girl. The robe fell to the ground. He carried her into the water. The water was warm and it sent shocks of pain up and down her body. He could see all the bruises on her back, legs and face and growled in complete displeasure. He cupped warm water on her puncture wounds to clean out any dirt and dried blood left. Then he started licking her wounds to make sure there was not going to be an infection. Then he laid her back onto him and started washing her hair. He could not help looking at the mark on her neck. “Oh Kagome I am so sorry I could not get to you sooner.” He said softly as tears began to fall from his golden eyes and on to her cheek. “I love you Kagome, I am so sorry.” He could not stop, he felt so guilty. “How could Kouga do this?” He asked himself. He never thought Kouga would stoop so low to take anyone by force.

“Inuyasha I love you too, I forgive you, please just give me some time.” She said. As painful as it was for her she lifted up her right arm, despite the pain of her mark on her shoulder and started caressing his face. “Inuyasha this is not your fault.” She said sternly. “ You didn’t know Kouga was going to do this, we both trusted him, and he betrayed the both of us!”

He held her; if he could, he would never let her down, for she was his everything. He would wait for her as long as it would take he would wait.

“Inuyasha?”

“Yes my love.” He said, while still caressing her bruised face careful not to scratch her with his claws.

“There are two thing I need to know. First, I want to know how I can get rid of this mark, and second am I pregnant. ” She said sadly.
