Sesshomaru watched as his brother sailed off with the girl. He would let him have her for a day before going after them. False security always made pirates slip up. He on the other hand was always on guard. Kagome wouldn't let Rin be injured, he wasn't worried about her well being, and he knew he needed her for the upper hand in his war with her father, but he'd grown to know the girl. After all she'd been with their ship for several weeks. There was definitely something hidden in her aura that he couldn't quite distinguish, but he knew, there is something more to Rin Owasi than meets the eye and he was going to find out what!

Chapter Four

Rin felt like she'd been clubbed. 'What happen?' That was the only thought that sprung to mind. She'd been hiding in a small space in the ship while the crew and their captain battled with an unknown ship. 'One second I was in the secret hiding place in Sesshomaru's office and the next...wait I was being dragged out by a man who resembled Sesshomaru. But where am I?' Opening her eyes Rin decided to find the answer to her unasked question.

Her vision may have been blurred, but she had no doubt in her mind that this was not Sesshomaru's ship. She was in a very small room. The bed she was placed on was a lumpy uncomfortable bunker. The walls of the vessel she was on were chipped and had, what looked like, finger nail trails. This place gave her the willies. What was it with her luck? First she was kidnapped by a pirate king and now his rivals. Was it her, or did the universe have a grudge against her? 'It does not matter. What matters is getting off this ship and back my father.' But there was a tiny voice in the back of her mind that whispered, 'But what about Sesshomaru?' She didn't owe the pirate king anything, but he'd been so nice to her and they'd seemed to form a bond in their short few weeks together. There was something about him. Not that she knew anything about men except how scandalous, crude, rude, and vulgar they could be, but not him. He was different.

A knock at the rickety rotting door broke Rin out of her reverie. She didn't say anything, but pulled herself together to appear calm and collected. Her strength was slowly, but steadily returning. She'd ask to speak to the captain and see where they were headed and why she was required. Of course the sarcastic part of her sneered and said, 'What do you think, they want to hand you safely to your father and be gentlemen? Oh yes, pirates are known for that.' Shaking thoughts away she turned to face the now open door.

In front of her face stood a young, beautiful, and very pregnant woman. She seemed to glow and radiate kindness. 'Definitely not what I expected.' The woman had long raven hair and soft chocolaty brown eyes. Her smile was slightly reassuring and having never met another woman before, except that of the wenches that tramped through her fathers ship on occasion, it was nice. The woman stepped to the side and took a seat on a chair adjacent the bed.

"I'm Kagome. It's good to see you've awoken." Kagome offered another small smile.

"I'm Rin. Nice to meet you." Proper educate demanded she be polite and charming. "I must ask though..." She trailed off unsure how to broach the topic.

"Why your here? Rin my husband was hired by your father to retrieve you. Unfortunately, InuYasha has a much dulled sense when it comes to handling women. I apologize for his roughness." Rin visibly relaxed. So they were going to take her to her father. 'Thank God.' Her "little" adventure was definitely spiraling out of control. Never in her life did she consider she'd ever have an adventure, she wasn't important enough. A lady of her station was just supposed to be well educated and mannered. Nothing is ever expected or needed from them, well except heirs.

Rin's stomach gave a loud obtrusive growl. She blushed and twirled a lock of hair. She hadn't eaten. The meal she was supposed to have eaten before Sesshomaru's visit to her quarters went untouched except for a few tidbits, in favor of attempted escape. "Ummm....may I have-" before she could finish Kagome got up from her spot on her chair and went to the door, where a servant stood with a tray. She hadn't noticed the servant, probably because she was mentally predicting her doom. Said tray was placed on a stool in front of her. Though meager in actuality, the meal appeared a feast to Rin's empty belly, which gave another unlady like growl.

"Eat up and I'll be back later to remove the tray." Kagome smiled her sunny glowing smile and left the room.

********The Deadly Sea********

The crew was assembled on deck. Someone had removed Rin from her room and that person was a traitor and therefore due to die. Sesshomaru knew that only two people could have possibly entered Rin's room, himself and Ummei. No one else had a key. The room was also magically sealed by a charm that emitted a deadly ray to anyone was tried to force the door in. Ummei would die; traitor’s deaths were very gruesome. After the crew had set themselves in their places he began.

"Men! There is a traitor among us! You all know that Captain Owasi's daughter, Rin, was kidnapped! Before her kidnapping someone took her from her room and seeing only two people had access to her room, this Sesshomaru and one other, we know who the traitor is!" Every eye on the ship turned to Ummei who stood stock still and pale at the port side of the ship. "Ummei you are sentenced to die at sun up. Do not try to escape. Die with what little honor you may have left." The last part was a fearsome whisper that though calmly spoken, promised excruciating pain if he dare disobey his Captain.

*********Sunrise********

Sesshomaru stood on deck, before his men. Ummei was tied up to the top of the mast. His throat to be slit and his body flung to the sea. There was only one way Ummei could be given a second chance, to help Rin and tell him where and why InuYasha took her. Then he'll only be taken to shore and releasted with a beating. No one crossed Sesshomaru and got away scot free. Any demon who dared to cross the great inuyoukai lord had better be a worthy opponent.

"You have one last chance, Ummei. Tell me where that poor excuse for a demon took Rin." Ummei stayed silent and whispered not a note. His demonic pride refused to utter a sound, but like all demons they have a breaking point. The knife held to his neck pressed ever so slightly into his neck, not enough to draw blood, but enough to make him shout out from the shadow of a cut. "One last chance." Sesshomaru gave Rimiko, who was holding the knife to his neck, a sharp look and the blade pressed in further causing a deep gash and some blood to flow down his neck. He cried out and turned away from the blade, which only caused it to dig deeper.

"Stop. I'll tell you. He was hired by Captain Owasi and he's taking her back to where you captured her. Now release me." It came out a hoarse roar. Sesshomaru didn't even bat an eyelash as he revealed his whip and slashed the ropes in two. Then they set sail.

**********Rin*********

She sat on the bed with little comfort. Kagome was a nice person, but how in the world was she supposed to feel at home on this sail boat they call a ship. She would just have to explore. It would, after all be about two months before they got back to her father. She most certainly did not plan to stay cooped up in a small unfriendly sleeping chamber, if you could call it that, like this. Kagome was coming to have their daily chat and then she'd ask to go for a walk. Yes that would be it a walk.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! Rin looked up with a pleasant and expectant smile. She truly did like Kagome. Kagome was a very powerful miko and very much in control of it. She did have this very obnoxious habit of looking at Rin with what looked like a knowing smile. Kagome entered with her perky glowing smile and sat on the same chair she had for the past three days.

"Hello Rin." She then made a sound of distress and touched her stomach. Then she smiled again. "The baby kicked." Rin returned the smile and held a hand out to touch her stomach. She too felt the kicking.

"Kagome, if you’re up to it, I'd really like to go outside for a walk on the deck." It was posed as a statement and an underlying question.

"Oh well...you see...InuYasha is very touchy about you coming out of here. But....I suppose we can't keep you locked up the entire time your here. Come on a short walk will be fine. I have something to tell you anyway." Rin grinned and seemed to bounce on her feet as they made their way to the door.

They made their way down a gorgeous cherry wood hallway and up a pair of steps. The ship was truly beautiful, unlike her dungeon of a room. The deck was like any other except the man who stood at the helm. InuYasha, she took it. He stood tall and proud, full of arrogant self-confidence. Kagome held Rin back at the side of the ship.

"Rin, this must be kept between us. You aren't just a regular lady. You are meant for so much more. I sense in you a power that surpasses even the strongest of demons. You are not a miko, but you are an aseleco. An ancient blood line of woman who are stronger than any other magical being. Not a witch, not a miko, not a sorceress, but so much more. There is only one born in a lifetime and that one is you. You will only use this power once in your life and that time will be when the greatest need for you has arisen. Please don't be frightened. I couldn't tell you down in your room because there is always a maid or someone at the door. This is something to be said where no one will think to listen. There is so much talk up here and instruction no one will have heard. Hold a silent tongue on the matter." Rin nodded in a daze. She was more than just the noble lady, she thought herself to be. In a dumb daze Rin moved with Kagome to the helm.

InuYasha turned in time to see Kagome and their "guest" approach. 'Damn it I thought I told Kagome to keep her in her room.' InuYasha sighed. There was no sense in trying to debate Kagome on the matter, she would not agree.

"Kagome. Girl." He purposefully showed disrespect to her station. If she didn't like it too bad. "I thought I told you the girl was to be kept in her room." Kagome pouted and then her face twisted with anger.

"Well would you keep me locked up in a dingy dark cell?" It came out as a have shout half scream. InuYasha's forehead had a tiny crease forming in the middle of it. He turned his gaze on the girl who was causing him so much grief.

"No." InuYasha gave a kiss to his mate and then turned back to his duties with a slight scowl that made him look like a scolded puppy. "Fine." Then the girls went off to view the ship and watch sunset on the ocean. Just as they were about to relax a ship came into sight. It was the Deadly Sea.

A/N: Well there it is. I reveled a bit of the plot, but don't worry it's not all that I have in store. Please review. Thanks. Until next time.....Egyptian Kiss!
