Ok, about last chapter. The OOC-ness is part of my 'goodbye' chapter of sorts, just so ya know. Ok as for Inuyasha meeting Kouga, that will happen NEXT CHAPTER, so don't worry! I'm planning on making this fic super long, like 30 or more chapters

Chapter 4: Demon Attack! Part 2

Where the demon lord Sesshomaru once stood, was now Sesshomaru's true form. The demon lord turned giant dog's blood red eyes glared down at Haryuomaru. His silver fur shone in the sunlight and his giant claws flexed menacingly. A growl emitted from Sesshomaru's chest as he watched Haryuomaru, who was still holding Rin. Sesshomaru barked loudly at his opponent in a challenge

"You think I'm afraid of you?" Haryuomaru laughed, but his eyes betrayed him, holding both fear and determination. "Let's see what you do when your little wench fries, hm?" Bolts of electricity went through his body and into Rin's, causing her to scream in fear and pain before passing out. Sesshomaru lunged at his opponent with speed that only the demon lord himself possessed and clamped his jaws on Haryuomaru's shoulder

Haryuomaru grunted in pain but refused to let the dying girl from his deadly grasp. Suddenly Haryuomaru felt his body becoming numb and his vision blurred. "W-what!" Haryuomaru dropped the girl and punched Sesshomaru in the forehead, forcing him to let go

When Haryuomaru had dropped Rin, Ayame was in there in a flash. She picked up the unconscious girl and ran with all her speed into the castle. Ayame ran through the halls, trying to find someone to take care of Rin

"Ayame!" someone called out as she passed a hallway. She skidded to a halt and ran quickly back to the hallway to see Eri and Ayumi standing there. "Ayame can you...Rin!" Eri shouted in alarm, "Ayame what happened to her?"

"Demons attacking castle," Ayame said quickly as she deposited Rin into Ayumi's arms, "no time to talk I have to go back and help them fight off the demons. Take care of Rin for me!" With that done, Ayame ran back outside only to be met by the wind blades of Kagura

"Little bitch, you'll pay for helping the girl escape!" Ayame barley dodged the wind blades and received a small cut on her cheek and leg. She grabbed Kagura's fan, which she had placed at her side and got into a fighting stance

"Bitch, I'll make you pay for that!" Ayame yelled as she jumped up at the wind demon on the roof

"Fuujin no Mai!" Kagura yelled as she sent more wind blades at the wolf demoness. Ayame, however, was prepared this time. Using the fan in her hand like a dagger, she cut right through the wind blades as she jumped back up to the roof. Ayame sent a roundhouse kick right at Kagura's head

'Like I thought, a magical fan!' Ayame smirked as her foot connected with the side of Kagura's head, causing her to fall back. 'I have to stay close to her so she can't use her fan.'

Kagura wiped the blood away from the corner of her mouth and smirked, "I'll make you pay. You'll die a slow and horrible death! Ryuu ja no..." Kagura never finished her attack as Ayame kicked her in the stomach. Kagura grunted in pain as she landed on the hard ground in the courtyard

"Die bitch!" Ayame yelled as she threw the fan at Kagura with all her strength. Kagura looked up but was too late to dodge it as the fan lodged itself in her chest, pinning her to the ground. Ayame jumped as high as she could from the roof and rapidly fell towards Kagura, who was trying to dislodge the fan from her chest

"Damnit!" Kagura cursed as she tried, unsuccessfully, to dislodge the fan. Looking up she saw Ayame falling towards her very fast. "I wont lose!" Kagura grabbed her fan and swung it at the wolf demoness, "Fuujin no Mai!" Kagura yelled as she sent more wind blades at the wolf demoness plummeting towards her

The wind blades made deep gashes on every part of Ayame's body as the passed her but she didn't care at the moment. Her main goal was to finish off Kagura once and for all, "your finished!" Ayame yelled

~ % ~ Meanwhile... ~ % ~

Kagome had been watching the entire battle from a nearby window in one of the empty rooms of the castle. She watched as the wolf demoness, Ayame, plummeted towards Kagura, who was pinned to the ground by her own fan. "Stupid fool, can't do anything yourself!" Kagome's body began glowing blue with power as she helped out Kagura

Kagome watched in satisfaction as Ayame hit the barrier she had cast around Kagura to protect her. It wasn't as if Kagome liked Kagura but she knew Naraku wanted to use her in his future plans so it was best to keep the wind demon alive...for now anyway. Kagome watched as Ayame was flung backwards by the barrier and crashed into the wall of the castle

"My job is done," Kagome said aloud as she turned and left the room before she was discovered and her cover was blown. She was unaware that at a great distance, someone was also watching

~ % ~ Meanwhile... ~ % ~

Naraku watched though the mirror as Kagura got herself pinned to the ground by he own fan. He also watched her futile attempts to kill the wolf threatening her life. Naraku's eyes widened slightly in surprise as a barrier formed around Kagura, protecting her from the wolf's attack. Naraku's eyes narrowed in suspicion, "Kanna, show me Kagome."

"As you wish, Lord Naraku." The mirror flickered and the scene changed to Kagome standing at the window of an empty room. A blue light surrounded Kagome and her eyes were concentrated on something out the window. Naraku watched as the blue light around her body disappeared

Naraku heard her say "My job is done," and then turn and leave the empty room

"Kukukuku, so Kagome protected Kagura," Naraku smirked, "Kanna show me Kagura again."

"Yes, Lord Naraku" Kanna replied as the mirror changed scenes again back to Kagura and the wolf demoness

~ % ~ Back at the castle ~ % ~

Kagura watched in amazement as the barrier around her dissolved. She took a quick glance over at Ayame, who was painfully picking herself up off the ground. Somehow Kagura knew there would be no second chances so she used all her strength to remove the fan pinning her to the ground. After several attempts she finally removed the fan from her chest and shakily stood up

'I can't fight like this,' Kagura thought groggily as she looked down at the pool of her own blood beneath her feet. Kagura took a glance at Ayame, who was standing in a fighting stance once again, 'I can't take her tight now and with this wound in my chest she'll surely kill me.' Kagura pulled one of the feathers out of her hair and in a rush of wind it became very large

"You're not getting away so easily!" Ayame yelled as she ran after the retreating wind demon. Ayame stopped following once Kagura was beyond the castle walls, 'Damnit! I could have beaten her!' Ayame punched the stone wall and winced. She really needed to get herself cleaned up; she was a bloody mess and had cuts all over her body

'They can take care of the other two,' Ayame thought as she slowly made her way back into the castle

~ % ~ With Inuyasha and Hakudoushi ~ % ~

Inuyasha swung his sword again, trying to knock the nagatana out of Hakudoushi's grasp. Hakudoushi back flipped away from him and a smirk made it's way across his face. "You cannot beat me, you pathetic half-breed!" Hakudoushi lunged, bringing his nagatana down at Inuyasha only to be met with the blade of Inuyasha's sword

Out of the corner of his eye Hakudoushi spotted Kagura flying away on her giant feather. 'The fool couldn't even beat that weak wolf bitch? I shouldn't underestimate these people.' Hakudoushi turned his attention back to Inuyasha and smirked in an almost uncaring manner

"Keh! I'll find away to kick your ass!" Inuyasha pressed his sword forward and managed to push him back, 'he's weakening! Now's my chance!' Inuyasha swept his foot underneath Hakudoushi and tripped him up. Hakudoushi cursed himself for being caught off guard. Inuyasha swung his sword at Hakudoushi's unprotected chest and sliced him in half

"You were saying, you little brat?" Inuyasha spat. He swung his sword over his shoulder and turned his back on Hakudoushi, making his way over to Sesshomaru and Haryuomaru

"You think you can defeat me like that?" Inuyasha turned around but didn't have enough time to block the nagatana as it pierce through his stomach. Inuyasha grunted in pain as he pulled out the nagatana that Hakudoushi threw at him. Inuyasha threw the nagatana away from both of them and then held on to his sword with both hands, growling dangerously. 'I must get my weapon,' Hakudoushi's eyes flitted over to the fallen weapon, 'I failed to hit his heart like intended.'

"What, cant fight without your little weapon?" Inuyasha taunted with a smirk playing on his face

"I don't need it to defeat the likes of you!" Hakudoushi spat angrily

'Heh, he took the bait,' Inuyasha inwardly cheered, 'now to finish this little brat off.' Inuyasha let out a low chuckle, surprising Hakudoushi. "If you can beat me then come prove it, you snot nosed, dead brained little brat!" Inuyasha stood his ground awaiting Hakudoushi to attack

Hakudoushi's body began glowing red with anger towards Inuyasha. "You will die you filthy half-breed!" Hakudoushi's rage got the better of him as he ran strait at Inuyasha. A dark ball of pure energy formed in his small hands as he ran towards Inuyasha. "Die!" he yelled as he threw the ball of energy at Inuyasha

"It's over!" Inuyasha yelled as he brought the sword above his head, his vision lining with red. A strange wind formed about both hanyou and sword. Hakudoushi's eyes widened in surprise as Inuyasha swung his sword and yelled, "Kaze no Kizu!" The hanyou's sword unleashed a wave of pure energy that cut through his energy attack and came strait at him

"How can this be?" Hakudoushi gasped as the blinding light of the attack engulfed him, tearing his body to shreds. The blinding pain engulfed his senses as the attack rushed over him

"Bastard, take that!" Inuyasha yelled in triumph. Inuyasha watched as the dust began to slowly settle and there floated Hakudoushi, surrounded by a barrier. The only part of Hakudoushi fully intact was his head

"D-damn you!" Hakudoushi bit out as he glared at the smirking hanyou. He tried to use his power to regenerate his body but the barrier was taking too much out of him. "T-this isn't o-over!" Hakudoushi spat as his floated up into the air. "I'll get you next time, I swear it." Hakudoushi's said before he disappeared from sight

"Coward," Inuyasha muttered as he sheathed his sword and turned his attention to Sesshomaru and Haryuomaru. 'He seems to be taking care of that situation but I'll stay here just in case.'

~ % ~ With Sesshomaru and Haryuomaru ~ % ~

Sesshomaru jumped away from Haryuomaru and barked angrily at the elemental demon. Haryuomaru was covered in blood and bite marks from the transformed Sesshomaru's strong jaws. He glared up at the dog demon, "Sesshomaru, you really need to CHILL OUT!" A blast of icy wind shot from the elemental demon's raised hands and hit Sesshomaru

Sesshomaru stood his ground as the icy wind blew at him, coating his silver fur in ice. By the time Haryuomaru stopped his attack Sesshomaru's legs and the ground below him were encased in a few feet of ice. Sesshomaru inwardly smirked as the demon approached him. "Just a helpless little puppy now, isn't you?" Haryuomaru chuckled

'Wrong again,' Sesshomaru thought as he gathered his strength; 'just a little closer' Haryuomaru stopped several feet in front of the frozen demon and raised his hands. Bolts of thunder shot around him as he prepared his attack

"Let's see how you like this!" Haryuomaru sent the bolts of thunder at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru had expected this and with all the brute force he could muster, shattered the ice covering his legs. Shards of ice flew in all directions when he shattered the ice. "What!" Haryuomaru yelled in alarm, as shards of ice were sent strait at him. Stopping his lightning attack his made a sweep upwards with both his hands, causing a wall of ice to form in front of him

Sesshomaru bunched up his hind legs and lunged forward at the wall of ice, which protected his opponent from the shards of ice. His sharp claws broke the ice easily and sliced through Haryuomaru's shoulder as he passed

"Damn you!" Haryuomaru hissed as he gripped his torn shoulder. 'This guy is strong, too strong!' Haryuomaru's vision started to blur and watched helplessly as Sesshomaru approached him slowly. 'D-damnit...I've lost to much blood,' Haryuomaru looked around shakily and his eyes landed on Sesshomaru's fallen sword, 'Tokijin, he had called it...if I could get it I can win!'

Sesshomaru watched him with narrowed eyes as Haryuomaru stumbled towards Tokijin. 'Let's see if he can handle it,' Sesshomaru inwardly smirked knowing that he couldn't possibly wield it in his condition and it would probably destroy him to try. 'Or it will possess him like that fool of a sword maker who forged its deadly blade.'

Haryuomaru finally reached the sword, the edges of his vision starting to go black. As he reached out for the sword his body pulsed, as did the sword near his hand. 'T-Tokijin?' When he touched the handle his head was filled with a dark voice. 'Cut him...kill him...destroy him...' the voice kept getting louder and louder until they engulfed his being, leaving him felling strangely detached from his body

Haryuomaru tried to move but found he was unable to, fear and panic started to set in. 'What have I done?'

'You have freed me...' a voice inside his head whispered, 'and I shall help you defeat all those whom you have hatred towards.'

'Who are you?' Haryuomaru asked

'I am Tokijin, I am the sword,' the voice answered him, 'do you wish for me to destroy Sesshomaru?'

Haryuomaru thought about the offer for a moment and then inwardly smirked. With a powerful sword like this he could even possibly defeat Naraku and gain power. 'Destroy Sesshomaru,' Haryuomaru said but the voice didn't reply this time

Sesshomaru watched with mild interest as Haryuomaru stood still, Tokijin in his grasp. Haryuomaru turned to him, sword raised and ready to use. Sesshomaru knew that he was not himself, that the sword had possessed him. Sighing inwardly he got ready to fight again

"You shall die for entrapping me, Sesshomaru" Tokijin possessing Haryuomaru's body snapped, "I will send you to the seven hells!" Haryuomaru ran forward wielding the sword with one hand. He leapt up in the air and pointed Tokijin at Sesshomaru, using the cutting force of the sword

Sesshomaru easily dodged the attack by jumping out of the way and landed a bit of a ways away. Sesshomaru's body began glowing and he transformed into his humanoid form. "So you have been possessed by the sword, fool." Sesshomaru brought his hand up in front of him and two of his fingers began glowing

"With this body I shall finish you," Haryuomaru said as he ran once again at Sesshomaru, "I shall beat you and then take your body as mine!" He swung the sword at Sesshomaru and again the demon lord dodged it

"Pathetic," Sesshomaru mused as he attacked with his light whip. The whip wrapped around Tokijin and he pulled hard, attempting to take the sword from Haryuomaru.

"Die bastard!" Haryuomaru yelled as he lunged at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru's eyes widened as Tokijin cut through his light whip. Sesshomaru raised his arms in some sort of defense as the cutting force of Tokijin hit him full force. Sesshomaru stood his ground but was unable to properly defend. Haryuomaru swung again and Sesshomaru was sent flying backwards, clothes and body cut badly and covered in blood, right into a wall

The dust cleared and Haryuomaru smirked at the unconscious form of Sesshomaru, "now to finish you." Haryuomaru was about to swing the sword again when Inuyasha suddenly appeared in front of him

"If you want to kill him you'll have to come through me!" Inuyasha spat, his eyes once again lining with red. "No one is allowed to kill Sesshomaru but ME!"

Haryuomaru let out a grunt of annoyance, "then I shall deal with you first and then your pathetic brother!"

"Keh! You're all talk!" Inuyasha said as he drew his sword, once again transforming it to its impressive and deadly size. "You wouldn't be half as powerful without my brothers sword!" Inuyasha ran at Haryuomaru and swung his sword, only to be countered by Tokijin

"A hanyou like you is no match for me!" Haryuomaru exclaimed as he swung Tokijin at Inuyasha. Inuyasha blocked the swing with his sword and then swung his sword in an upward sweep only to be countered once again by Tokijin

"You're good, but not good enough!" Inuyasha jumped away from Haryuomaru and raised his sword about his head. The strange wind picked up around Inuyasha and the sword once again as he readied to deal the final blow

"I-Inuyasha..." came Sesshomaru's shaken voice from behind him. Inuyasha took a glance over his shoulder to see Sesshomaru standing, bloody and weakened from the attack he took. "Wait for him...to attack...then unleash y-your attack..." Sesshomaru's breathing was heavy and staggered and he looked somewhat paler then usual

Inuyasha nodded and turned his attention back to Haryuomaru. "How touching, a family moment!" Haryuomaru laughed, "You two truly are pathetic! Your Kaze no Kizu is no match for me!" Haryuomaru raised Tokijin above his head and swung it down towards Inuyasha. The sword emitted a blue wave of energy and was sent right at Inuyasha

"I wont lose..." Inuyasha promised himself as he swung his sword. "Feel the power of Tetsusaiga!" The sword unleashed the wave of energy that cut Hakudoushi and hit the blue one sent by Tokijin. Inuyasha's eyes widened in surprise as, instead of blowing up, his attack merged with the one of Tokijin

"What!" Haryuomaru yelled in surprise. He raised his sword in some sort of defense as his attack, combined with Inuyasha's, was sent back at him. The attack engulfed him in it's golden light and he watched in horror as it shattered the blade of Tokijin. 'This...can't...be!' Haryuomaru thought before the attack destroyed his body along with the shattered remains of Tokijin

"What...what was that?" Inuyasha asked as he looked down at his sword

"That was Bakuryuuha..." came Sesshomaru's voice from behind him. Inuyasha turned around to see his brother leaning against the stone wall unsteadily, "only the true owner of Tetsusaiga can use that attack...this proves that father truly left it for you..." Sesshomaru fell to one knee and winced in pain

"Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha ran to his brothers' side

"I-I never thought (gasp) t-that Tokijin would be that s-strong..." Sesshomaru muttered, "I'm glad it's destroyed..." Sesshomaru fell forward into his brother as darkness took him

'It must have been powerful...if it did this to him,' Inuyasha thought as he lifted Sesshomaru from the ground. Inuyasha half carried, half dragged, Sesshomaru back towards the entrance to the castle to rest and heal up

~ % ~ Meanwhile... ~ % ~

Kagome watched from a nearby window as Inuyasha brought Sesshomaru's injured body into the castle. Once she was sure she would not be seen she made her way out of the room. She walked quietly through the hallway and made her way out into the courtyard. During the battle she had sensed it and knew that the elemental demon had carried it. She calmly walked over the where Haryuomaru had stood for the last time

She knelt down and picked something up from the ground, a single pink shard of a jewel. The jewel that had been protected by a miko named Kikyo long ago. She smirked, 'that is until she met Naraku and me...'

Kikyo was a young but powerful miko who protected a jewel called the Shikon no Tama. The jewel was powerful and could grant it's owner any wish that he or she desired. Naraku and her had been after the jewel for a long time and had finally gotten it after they had killed the miko, Kikyo

She stood up and put the shard in the breast of her kimono, 'Naraku will want this back...'

~ % ~ Elsewhere... ~ % ~

"So Haryuomaru failed even with the shard..." Naraku mused as he watched Kagome pick up the shard. Naraku looked up as the doors to the throne room burst open to reveal a very angry and beat up Kagura

"You bastard!" Kagura yelled as she stormed into the room, “you sent me into that trap as well!"

"A trap?" Naraku mused, "I was simply testing the extent of Kanna's power while trying to get rid of a threat at the same time. You are the one who allowed herself to get beaten by a wolf AND get help from Kagome."

"So it was Kagome who protected me with the barrier..." Kagura muttered, "So, Kanna is one of your creations like me?"

"Yes," Naraku replied simply and was not surprised to see Hakudoushi float into the room. Hakudoushi's body was still not fully regenerated from the battle and he floated above the throne room floor, slowly regenerating

"What the hell happened to you?" Kagura asked with a raised eyebrow, not that she really cared. Hakudoushi didn't reply, he just simply closed his eyes and let out a long sigh. Kagura shrugged it off and walked back to the door of the throne room. She left but not before throwing over her shoulder, "you're an asshole, Naraku!"

~ % ~ IK ~ % ~

AN - Kagome is...still a bitch. Ayame owns! So ha! Hakudoushi has a personality to? I know it seems kind of OOC but I like it like that. I wouldn't want everything to be exactly like the characters or else it wouldn't be any fun!

(Coughs) anyway, I hope you like this chapter and I'll be making Kouga and Inuyasha defiantly meet next chapter. I held it off this long because I didn't want to be ALL about Inuyasha and Kouga!
