chapter 4
It all started with a Nameless Beauty
Author’s Note: Thanks for the reviews everyone! Nothing much to say this time, so keep reading! BUT PLEASE PLEASE REVIEW *if you haven’t already* !!!

~~~~~Chapter 4~~~~~
Crashing into a tree, Youko stood up again, and chased after her, he seemed to be doing that a lot lately. He would not lose her so easily. He caught up with her and tackled her to the ground, making sure he broke the fall. “Why are you running away? I said I would protect you.” “Don’t you understand? I want to be my own person, not owned by someone, and I have plenty of people who want to control me! All I want to do is be myself! Now let go of me!”
Her fire had re-ignited. Youko just pretended he didn’t hear her, and carried her over his shoulder like a kill being brought back to camp. With Kagome kicking and punching Youko, he dashed towards his lair.
After the long trip back, Kagome had fallen into a light slumber. She gave up when she found out she didn’t have ANY energy left. She decided to wait it out until her powers regenerated and fight if she had to.
Her eyes opened slowly, trying to adjust to the dark, and to her surprise wasn’t very difficult. Her vision was fantastic in the night, she could practically see as clearly as she could in the daytime. She realized she was in some sort of deep cave. It was full of priceless antiques, paintings, and expensive cloth, and with her hearing ability, she could here running water, apparently there was a spring nearby.
Just as she was about to get up from the futon, she felt something around her waist. It clung to her and would not budge. She looked over her shoulder, and saw her kidnapper, Youko. ‘Eep! What in the world am I doing in bed with him?! Ok, ok. Calm down Kagome. He’s asleep. You can sneak away.’ As that thought was crossing her mind, she was interrupted, “So I see you’re finally awake, Kagome, or should I say future mate?” he said with amber eyes glowing in the darkness. Kagome struggled again, trying to get out from under the blanket with the perverted fox inside. She didn’t want to be so close to someone who she just met.
Youko let her go without a fight, and Kagome immediately went for the door, which was unfortunately, or fortunately for Youko, locked. Kagome abruptly turned around and leaned against the door for support. ‘I’m stuck in a room where there’s a kitsune who wants me as his mate. What am I supposed to do now; you would think they would teach things like this in school.’ Youko broke the silence, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to bite,” he said with a sly grin, “but seriously, I only locked the door to prevent people from coming in, not you from going out.” “Really?” Kagome said, “Then would you care to explain why?” “Certainly,” he responded, “I am the leader of a group of thieves and my clan is outside, they wouldn’t think twice about taking you. I mean, look at you. You’re beautiful, and even if you ARE a hanyou, anyone of them would take you. They would probably fight over you and would kill each other off, and I don’t want that or else I wouldn’t have a clan.” Kagome blushed at the compliments, hiding in the darkness. She looked around the room trying to distract herself. Youko certainly did have a lot of antiques and treasures. His room was wealthily furnished.
While looking around, Youko stood up and stood in front of her. Kagome didn’t notice until he was directly in front of her face, “I hope you’re comfortable here. You are going to stay here for quite a long time, so you should make yourself comfortable.” Red began to form in Kagome’s eyes, rage building up in her. “How many times do I have to tell you? I am not yours and never will be!” Youko only smirked and said, “Trust me, you will.” With that, he left the room and locked the door behind him.

~~~^~~~^~~~ Author’s Note: Sorry this was such a short chapter!!! I’ll make it up in the next one. Too many things to do this week… Thanksgiving and all… Next update will hopefully be soon and longer, so keep reading! Any suggestions about other characters are welcome!
I think I WILL put Sango and Miroku in the story, but later, maybe chapter 7, *I know I said 5 before, but I need more time…* I MIGHT put the Urameshi group in too… I’ll just have to figure out a way to make a smooth transaction between them both.
