Wishful Desires

Kagome cried in soft anguish as she witnessed the fight. Sesshoumaru was winning, of course, but the sun was yet high in the sky. Shido was off hiding in a corner, helplessly whining after his mate. She could tell that he really wanted Cain to come back. The violet haired creature sat with tears in his eyes as blood fell in waves on the already crimson floor.

Despite herself, Kagome sympathized with the wounded vampire. He yearned for his mate. Cain was bleeding heavily, but he was determined to protect his mate and their newest slave. She winced at that. She was SUPPOSED to be Sesshoumaru's slave, not Shido's.

Even still, she stood on shaky legs from the bed, gasping in pain as tears fell from her eyes. Her abdomen protested all movement, but she had to get to the younger vampire. He needed a comforting hand.

The logical part of her saw her sympathy as ridiculous. He had raped her! But, as always, Kagome's compassion got the better of her.

His eyes locked onto her as she moved, stumbling the whole way. She fell at his side and reached toward him, and Shido fell into her embrace gratefully. He held her like a lost child. In essence he was. She rocked him back and forth, shushing him with soothing words.

The vampire at her side calmed enough to pick her up and hurry down the hidden stairs. She thought to protest, but realized that the sun had reached his corner and was trying to peel his skin from his bones. Moments later Cain drifted in behind them, badly burned. Kagome could hear the enraged howls of Sesshoumaru. Cain turned and closed a heavy door, blocking the entrance to the hidden darkness.

Sesshoumaru tried in vain to open the door, but the magic holding it was to strong for any youkai.

Kagome spent the day between the two, running gentle hands through Shido's hair. The sun fell and night rose again. Cain was the first to awake. She stared at the now slumbering girl in slightly irritated confusion before waking her.

She jumped. The look upon his face sent waves of apprehension through her. The golden haired vampire pulled her roughly away from his mate, eliciting a startled yelp from her. His hands sought her out, cutting easy lines and drawing pain filled gasps from her throat. The pain quickly turned to pleasure as the masochist in her was brought to the fore.

Shido woke soon after and joined in the fun. Tears fell from mahogany eyes as they brought her to climax time and again, using pain to drive the pleasure home. She flinched in wanted pain as Cain came into her, rocking her with the force of his thrust. She arched against him, trying desperately to suppress the need to drive back against him.

Shido shifted behind her. Kagome screamed in delighted pain as he came in from behind. She was rocked forcefully between the two, gasping breaths being forced from her lungs. She shuddered uncontrollably.

Cain nipped her shoulders and breasts, leaving small welts along them both. Shido broke skin with his powerful talons, rendering her at their mercy.

A small part of her whispered that she was betraying her master, but she couldn't stop. The two worked well to keep the girl attached to them, driving the young masochist to new heights.

Kagome shuddered and came, pulling hungry snarls and pleased growls from the vampire. One caught her lips, the other caught her neck. An odd sensation overcame her as waves of power flowed between them.

Vaguely she could feel Sesshoumaru clawing at the door, she could feel his anger rising with each passing moment, but her thoughts were centered on the male before her. Her senses grew and The Gift grew. Shido forced her into a painful arch while Cain followed her down to the floor. She screamed in pain/pleasure as the two forced her life-force to shift into a path of their own making.

Sesshoumaru heard her screams and sent wave after wave of power flowing into the door. It made a loud screeching noise but moved not an inch.

A blast of purifying energy the likes of which never had been seen before rippled through the ground. The screams of welcomed torment drew youkai of all kind from everywhere. The young miko screamed to oblivion as she came yet again with the sheer force of the power surge.

Kagome lay panting below Cain, her new sire. She looked to Shido who lay crumpled on the floor, exhausted. Cain kissed her then, drawing a delighted gasp from her lithe frame. He helped her stand, drawing her toward a second door. She followed warily, the pain from before had dissolved with her transformation and her hunger was growing steadily.

She panted with the growing need of blood, arching as it took hold. A shriek left her lips, and Cain was there to instantly soothe away her pains. He guided her away from the cavern, careful to keep her focused entirely on him.

The surrounding youkai provided an easy meal. Cain left her standing for a moment, and Kagome knew she was to watch and learn. He plunged his talons into a nearby demon, ripping the heart from it. He brought the still-beating heart to his lips and bit, drinking deeply.

Kagome needed no other advice.

She lunged for another youkai, catching it by surprise. She baited it into fighting before ripping its heart from its chest. It fell and died while she fed of its heart-blood, relishing in the rejuvenation it brought.

Sesshoumaru's anger broke through her thoughts, and she turned to go to him. Cain growled and she stopped her eyes going wide as she turned to her sire. He motioned for her to follow, and Kagome instinctively knew better than to disobey her maker.

She followed him back to the cavern, watching in irritation as Cain sealed the door. Shido pulled her to him, and Kagome fell back onto his lap. She growled but he held her steady.

"What is it you want with me?" The miko snarled. Cain laughed. "You are such a beautiful creature when anger takes you." He murmured, stealing a kiss before settling down. "Release me!" She hissed.

Shido whimpered and held her closer. Kagome allowed herself to blush as she realized she was yet unclothed. Cain regarded the pair casually before answering. "You are a new childe, I cannot let you leave."

"Why turn me into a... a ..." She snarled at her loss of words.

"Vampire." Shido said quietly. She hissed at him but calmed when he flinched. He certainly hadn't seemed so fickle when she first met him. In fact, it had been he who had sexually attacked her!

Kagome sighed in anguish. "I want to return to Sesshoumaru!" She snapped. "I don't belong with you!" Cain seemed to be ignoring her, though.

He stood and made his way to the door that Sesshoumaru stood before as though he could see the youkai on the other side.

"He will destroy you for our Gift." He said. Kagome growled and stood. "I didn't ask for the Gift!" She shouted. Shido sighed behind her and she turned. "How else were we to thank you for your kindness to me?" He asked softly.

Guilt flooded the miko and she knelt to hold her blood brother. Cain came up behind them and pulled them to him. "Families must stick together." Shido said, though it sounded as though he was pleading with her.

Cain lapped gently at her cheek before shifting so that he held Shido in a comforting embrace. A wicked glint filled the young vampire’s eyes and he latched onto to Cain's neck, growling playfully.

Golden eyes flashed brilliantly and Cain pushed the creature from his lap. He leapt forward, pinning his mate to the ground and driving their hips together sharply. Shido shrieked and pushed the older creature off of his, launching his own attack.

Kagome sighed as she watched the two play-fight. Sesshoumaru was just outside the border of her senses, and she longed to return to him. She knew that her punishment for failing to return would be great, but at the moment she was content to sit and watch the game.

She was taken by surprise when Shido turned and knocked her to the floor. She growled and leapt into his chest, pinning him to the ground. She let the growl rumble in her chest, signifying challenge. Cain pulled her up off of his mate, and the violet haired vampire hissed before jumping onto the others' back.

Kagome couldn't help the laughter that tumbled from her lips as she watched Shido come to her rescue'. When her sire turned and slapped the hands away, she jumped forward and, with Shido's help, pinned Cain to the floor. All were laughing so hard that the game came to an abrupt end.

"You never would have held me if you hadn't worked together." Cain said finally, when the laughing had stopped.

Shido grinned playfully. "Of course not. You're ego is too big." Cain growled and Kagome fell back into helpless giggles.

Sesshoumaru heard her laughing and shifted back to his humanoid form. How dare the bitch betray him?! She was HIS, and she was openly displaying affection for another.

His rage grew to the point where all things were weak in comparison. His muscles strained as his claws grabbed the door and ripped it off its hinges. The laughter died instantly. The three were locked together in a mess of limbs. Kagome was, rather obviously, a vampire now.

Such was his rage that he didn't even realize Tokijin was in his hand until he launched a wave of youkai strait at the golden haired vampire. They all jumped away. Fear crossed Kagome's face at the rage burning in normally amber eyes.

Shido ran up to her, pulling her into the forest surrounding the area. A roar shook the hills, and terror filled the siblings as a new understanding dawned. A war was being fought as they ran.

A village appeared and the two took a minute or so to grab some clothing. They ran and ran until their legs shook and their chests trembled. An anguished scream tore from Shido, and Kagome knew Cain had lost.

Fear came that perhaps her sire was dead. A new instinct came then. She needed her sire to survive. She needed him to teach her what to do. Feeding wasn't enough. She needed to know how to use her abilities to fight.

Shido was not much older than she herself. His new life had been given perhaps twenty years before hers. No, she realized, he had been BORN twenty years ago. He was natural vampire.

She lifted her sibling hastily, searching a suitable cavern to hide in. The sun was making it's was into the sky, and precious minutes remained until they'd die.

She managed to find a dwelling, but she knew it would last no more than a day. Kagome hissed as sleep tried to overcome her. She managed to get Shido down before she collapsed. She could only hope that Cain was somehow not dead, and that Sesshoumaru-sama wouldn't find them while they slept...

Kanna's expression never changed as the image in her mirror dissipated. S cruel chuckle filled the night as red eyes flashing menace. "So there are vampire in the West." Naraku mused. This could work to his advantage.

He summoned Kagura and sent her to retrieve the slumbering younglings. No doubt Sesshoumaru would destroy them when he found them. He had watched the one called Cain fall in seeming death, but knew better. The vampire would be off to find his children soon.

The sun seeped over the horizon, and Cain hissed as he woke from unconsciousness. He stood and made his way into the make-shift cover the cavern still provided. He could sense his mate and offspring nearby, and knew that the Western Lord would find them. His revenge would come swiftly.

A dark cloud covered the sun and he started in surprise. Never in his long years had he seen such a thing. A boy dressed in taijiya garb landed before the cavern. Sleep pulled heavily and as he fell into deaths waiting arms he was aware of being lifter and carried away.
