I only came back to check on him, I knew he wasn’t feeling well. Silly of me to even care! What I saw was enough to drive a preacher wild, there he was, his arms wrapped around her, I suppose he’ll never get over Kikyo. Her embrace was so long, so intense. She opened her eyes, slowly pushing him away, I took off. There was no reason for me to stick around, I could hear him calling my name.

“Kagome, its not like that!.. Wait...KA-GO-ME”

I kept right on running, I didn’t want to see InuYasha’s face. I wanted to go back and beat that bitch down once and for all but what would that have done? It won't take his love for her away. I climbed out of the well only to find it raining at home. I was soaked by the time I reached my house and the last thing I wanted was to go home anyway. I just wandered around a nearby park, I must have looked like I was a total nut, walking around in the pouring rain. My clothes stuck to me like a second skin, ‘I hope I don’t get sick’ I thought.

“Dammit!” I ran my fingers through my hair, it was all tangled and wavy.”Not again” I told myself as I plopped down on the wet bench. I was so angry with myself for crying.

“I thought I’d find you here.” His voice was so calming. He stood over me, staring down at me. I jerked away when he touch my hair.

“Don’t touch me!” I yelled at him. “I can’t believe we’re here, dealing with this shit again!”

“What shit, it ain’t even like that, she-“

“SAVE IT!” I shot up from the bench. “You’re caught, okay” I was so pissed, not even realizing he could see through my shirt. We just stood there, face to face, heavy rain was the only sound. InuYasha slowly moved towards me, I knew what he was up to. He gently caressed my face, I tried to move away.

“Sssh, calm down. Please don’t do this.” He pulled me closer to him. I felt his hands on my waist, pulling me to him. Instantly, I placed my arms around him, I felt my lips on my neck, I closed my eyes. The sight of the two of them flashed before me again, my face turned red as I pushed him away.

“What the-?” He was confused. He grabbed my wrist as I turned away. I swung on him, slapped him, my hand stung from the impact. I didn’t mean to hit him, it was a reflex. My god, I-I never slapped InuYasha before. He stood in front of me, with his hand on his face, staring me down. I felt his eyes going right through me. I looked away from his glare, before I could say anything, he yanked me up, he was squeezing me. I tried to get lose from his tight grip, his strong arms were locked around me.

“I said, calm down”. He growled into my ear. He kissed me, my whole body felt weak. As angry as I was, as much as I wanted to fight him, I couldn’t anymore. My hands ran wildly through his wet, silver hair. I let out a low moan as his tongue entered my mouth. I gasped as he picked me up, his lips never left my mouth. He placed my soaking, wet body on the bench, my hands, still wild, touching him everywhere I could. I felt my shirt open, his hands on my skin, my body longed for him.

We knew people were driving past, it didn’t stop our flow. I wanted him to devour me. The rain was falling harder, we could hardly see our surroundings, all that mattered was us. He looked deep int eye eyes, I traced his lips with my fingers just before he leaned in to kiss me. Slowly, he entered me, I felt him in a way I never had before. I clinched my nails into his back as he gently moved me back and fourth, I cried out when his fangs sunk into my neck.

“InuYasha.......deeper, go deeper!” I pleaded into his ear. He shifted himself as I wrapped my legs around him. I felt him, his deep thrusts.....we moved in time with one another. I wanted to melt at the sound of his low growling in my ear.

“I love you.......” He muttered, I couldn’t make out the rest of what he said to me. Tears fell from my face, I was drowning in the pleasure of feeling him....I knew he loved me, I felt so bad for not hearing him out. My head was going around in circles, my body was shaking. I could hardly catch my breath........my god, I never knew a love like this! With one last deep thrust, we both cried out as he released inside me.

On an open park bench, he laid there, holding me close to him as the rain fell softly on us. Again, all was silent. I looked into his beautiful, ember eyes.


“InuYasha....I-I’m so sorry, I didn’t-“ My hand gently touched the side of his face I slapped.

“Ssh. I know.” His voice had a low, understanding tone. “I was saying goodbye to her”.

I looked away, feeling guilty. He looked at me. “Kagome, you gotta trust me. I love you, my heart belongs to you, only you.”

“InuYasha, I love you, I’ll always be yours.”
