Naraku's Devious Plan

Last time:

"Kagome, would you marry me, and be my wife and mate?"

"I'd love too" she hugs him. "Wait, where's my ring?"

"Ring?"

"My engagement ring you fool"

"Never heard of one. Rings are a part of the marriage ceremony, I know that"

"Ok, I can deal with just a wedding ring then"

Inuyasha hugs Kagome "Let's go to sleep now, we have a long week ahead of us"

Chapter 4: Trip to Kagome's Time

The next morning, Kagome and Inuyasha wake up a little after the sun had risen. Inuyasha woke first to see Kagome in his arms, then he remembered the events of the previous night, and how they almost mated. He kisses Kagome lightly. "Inuyasha?" Kagome mumbles as she woke up. Then she realized that it hadn't been a dream and hugges Inuyasha. "You told me you loved me last night didn't you?"

"Yeah"

"Say it again, please?"

"Why?"

"I want to hear you say it when you're half-demon"

"Fine, but don't expect to hear it often"

She sighs he was way rougher once his demon half came back, then she pouts. "If you love me, you should be able to tell me every day"

Inuyasha sighs "Fine!" He breathed "I love you"

"Inuyasha" she kisseds him.

Suddenly they hear a coughing sound. "I'd hate to disturb you, but Shippo will probably be up soon, and I think he may still be a bit young to see where that would probably lead" Miroku says

Inuyasha gets up "Never stopped you from groping Sango"

"I wouldn't do any more than that unless it was behind closed doors, Inuyasha" Miroku says

Kagome gets up "Come on, Inuyasha. You said you were taking me to my time"

"Get your bag packed up and I'll carry you to the well" Inuyasha says

"Ok" Kagome, says "You take care of Sango and Shippo while we're gone Miroku"

"I will Inuyasha" Miroku says

"Ready" Kagome says grabbing her bag. Inuyasha moves so she can get on his back and they go off to the well.

"Good to see them together, now maybe I can figure out some way to be with Sango" Miroku says as he walked back across the field to a sleeping Sango, Kilala, and Shippo.

Inuyasha and Kagome go through the well. Once in Kagome's time Inuyasha leaps out of the well. Kagome sighs. "What's wrong Kagome?" Inuyasha asks

"I just realized that if I'm going to be with you I really don't need to be in this time anymore, now do I?"

"I guess not"

"Then I'm going to make it so I don't need to come back to this time anymore, and can be with you all the time"

"Wait, what about Raman?"

"I'll buy you some"

"We'll run out"

"You'll just have to wait till it's invented"

"I'll have you to tell me when that is"

Kagome laughs "Inuyasha, I'm only mortal. I'd never live long enough to see Raman invented"

"That's where you're wrong, once we're mated you'll stop aging until I die, then you will age at a normal human process"

"So as your mate I could only die in battle, like you?"

"Right"

"Well, come on, we have to tell my mother". They head to the house and enter right in.

"Kagome, you're back," Souta says "And you brought Inuyasha"

"Hey Souta" Inuyasha says

"Kagome, so nice to see you" Mrs. Higurashi exclaims "And with Inuyasha too. What's brought you here?"

"Mom, can we talk?" Kagome asks

"Sure" Mrs. Higurashi turns to Souta "Why don't you see if your Grandfather needs some help?"

"Okay mom" Souta runs off

"Okay, now let's go sit down in the family room" Mrs. Higurashi leads them there and Kagome sits on the sofa and after investigating it for a minute, Inuyasha sits next to her, dog-demon style.

"Mom, Inuyasha and I want to get married" Kagome says wanting to get the worst over with.

"I figured that this would come some day"

"What you mean?"

"Come on Kagome, you spend more time back on the Warring States era then in this time, I figured that there must be a good reason, and I figured that must be love"

"So, you'll consent to us getting married as soon as possible?"

"Of course, and I've already taken the liberty of filling out the forms for you to drop out of school, with as behind as you are I figured you'd have to drop out anyway"

Kagome looks shocked and amazed. "So, um, would it be possible for us to be married by say the end of the week?"

"You can't have an official wedding you know"

"Why?"

"Inuyasha's not on their records as being alive"

"I didn't think of that," Kagome says.

"What kind of proof do they need, I'm right here?" Inuyasha asks

"Look, the government has proof that everyone who was born was born. We have no proof of that," Kagome says

"I was born before a real government existed" Inuyasha says. "There must be some way around this"

"Of course there is" Mrs. Higurashi says, "If you were not born in a hospital and never went to school you'd have no paperwork at all"

"Well, I know I've never even been in either one of the two" Inuyasha says.

"Then let's go to the courthouse" Kagome says. They go to the courthouse and they tell them what all they need to know, and the courthouse lets them marry, and by the end of the day Kagome and Inuyasha are married. As Kagome's family wishes her the best, her and Inuyasha go to a private hotel room that they rented with the money from Kagome's college fund.
