Chapter four
Rough Start in St.Louis and It's time we hand out again.

Saturday noon, St.Louis 12:30 PM (St.Louis International Airport)

After a long flight and a few in-flight movies, Sango and Miroku finely made it to St.Louis.
As soon as Sango and Miroku exited the plane they decided that they’d go get their luggage and then go to the hotel and rest awhile since tomorrow they had a big meeting to do with Kouga.
When they arrived at the luggage department their luggage was nowhere to be found.
“ Miroku… Where is our luggage?!” Sango said angrily as she glared at her boss.
“Uh.. I don’t know my dearest Sango! It should be here!” Miroku said nervously as he seen the murderess look in Sango’s eyes.
“Well now what!” ” Mister big shot business man?! We’re in St.Louis with no cloths except for what we have on!”
Miroku choked down a gulp as he tried to think of something to say to Sango to calm her down.
“W-well S-Sango dear… We still have our money and uh.. Um.. I have the company’s business credit card so once we get settled into a hotel room; we can go out and buy all new cloths!” Miroku said as he thought it was a brilliant idea.
Sango only growled and nodded at him.
“Miroku stay here, I’m going to go call a taxi.” Sango said.
Miroku nodded as he walked over to the man who ran the luggage department and demanded to know were their luggage was.
As Sango went outside she saw a taxi coming towards her.
“Taxi!” Sango yelled.
As soon as the Taxi arrived, Sango got in it as fast as she could.
Since Sango was annoyed at Miroku, she decided to leave him behind.
“To the Gallantry hotel please.” She said to the Taxi cab driver.
Miroku went outside as soon as he found out what happened to the luggage.
ku sku saw Sango getting in the taxi and yelled. “Hey Sango! Wait for me!”
The taxi driver saw the screaming Miroku outside rushing to the cab.
“Well miss, aren’t you going to wait for your friend over there?” The taxi cab driver said, unsurely about leaving her friend behind.
“No, now please go now.” was all that Sango said.
The taxi cab driver only nodded as he started to head to the hotel as he heard a screaming Miroku in the back.
“Hey, hey! wait for me!” Miroku shouted as he saw the taxi starting to leave with Sango in it.
“Do you want me to stop miss?” The driver asked Sango.
“No... He may get his own taxi and meet me there.” She said angrily.
“Heh, alright miss; your call.” The driver said as he sped up a little.

“Damn it Sango” Miroku said under his breath as he sighed.
There wasn’t going to be another taxi that he could get for another 10 minutes.
And by time he did catch one, she’d already be there.
Miroku pouted a little and started to look for a taxi.
To his luck one was passing by him.
“TAXI!!” Miroku screamed, hoping to catch the driver’s attention.
Lucky to Miroku the driver heard him and picked him up.
“To the Gallantry hotel please” Miroku mumbled as they went.

(Note: time zones between St.Louis and Los Angeles are different, about two hours different.)

Saturday morning. Los Angeles 10:30 AM. (Kagome’s and Miroku’s Apartment.)
*Ring! Ring! * *Ring! Ring! *
The phone rang..
“Mmm.. Hello?” Kagome answered sleepily.
“Kag? You awake? If you aren’t I’m sorry to wake you up.” Inuyasha said from the other end of the phone.
“Oh, hello Inuyasha. Yes I’m awake... Well at least now I am.” Kagome said as she giggled some and sat up in her bed.
“Sorry Kag, I didn’t mean to wake you.” Inuyasha said sadly.
“Oh no, It’s ok. I was going to get up soon anyways. What do you need Inuyasha?” She said as she put her slippers on and got out of bed to head down stairs to fix a pot of tea.
“I was wondering if you could come over today and hang out, you know for old time’s sake. We haven’t hung out with each other since college and that’s been over five years. And well I kinda miss the old friendship thing. Things have changed since I became your boss and Miroku became your fiancé.”
Kagome sighed some into the phone. She had missed hanging out with Inuyasha. They used to have a lot of fun together; until they got out of college. Then things had kinda gotten more formal then a friendship.
“Of course Inuyasha, I’d love too come over today. Basically all I was going to do was sit around here and do nothing but be bored.” She said as she giggled a bit more.
“Ok thanks Kag, Yea I was planning on being bored today too. Up until when I went back to sleep. I had a dream about our ‘Romeo and Juliet’ play for some reason... And that made me think of you.” Inuyasha said.
Kagome grinned in the phone. ‘I didn’t know he still thought about that.’ She thought.
“That was a good play Inuyasha. I didn’t know you still thought about it.”
“Yea, I haven’t thought about it in awhile.. But I guess it just decided to pop up in my dreams.” Inuyasha said as he started to twirl the phone cord around his fingers a bit nervously.
As Kagome fixed her self some tea, she sat down at the table andked ked at the time.
“Ok Inuyasha, I’ll be there in an hour ok? Give me time to get dressed and get a shower and then I’ll be there.”
Inuyasha smiled some. “Ok Kagome will do, you still know were the place is right? I mean you and Miroku barely even visit anymore!” He said jokingly.
“Yes Inuyasha I still remember. And don’t blame me for not visiting. Blame Miroku.. Since I’ve been with him, I haven’t even really been able to get out of the house..” She said jokingly back.
“Heh, ok Kagome. Well I’ll let you go now. See you later Kag.”
“Bye Inuyasha.” * Click. *
After they hung up and Kagome had finished her tea.
She ran up stairs to take a shower and get dressed.
After she was dressed, hair was dry and her make up fixed, Kagome ran out of the house to her baby blue ‘convertible PT cruiser’.
She cranked her car up, then backed out of the driveway and went on her way to Inuyasha’s house.

Saturday noonish, St.Louis 1:30 PM (Gallantry Hotel)
Soon Sango arrived at the lovely Gallantry hotel. One of the finest hotels in St.Louis.
Sango was amazed at the hotel Miroku had picked out. At least she could say he had good taste.
Sango paid the taxi driver and sent him on his way. As soon as the driver left she saw Miroku’s cab pull up to where hers had left.
“Hello Miroku.” She mumbled as he got out of the cab and paid his fares.
“That wasn’t nice Sango.” He said as he pouted.
“Oh really? Well it wasn’t nice coming all the way to St.Louis and then finding out my cloths and some accessories of mine were lost.” She said ily ily at him.
“I’m so sorry Sango. I talked to the person at the luggage department and he said they forgot to load our luggage onto the plane.” He said as he pouted even more; hoping to gain some sympathy from her.
Sango sighed. “Let’s just go inside and get our rooms Miroku. I want to be in my own room for awhile before we leave to buy cloths.” Miroku nodded and walked on into the hotel and was awed at how fancy it was “Wow! It looks more amazing than it did in the brochure!” Miroku sas hes he walked to the front desk.
“Yea it’s pretty nice..” Sango said in a low voice. She had to admit; Miroku had a lot of class compared to Inuyasha who liked a very low-key and down to earth setting. But what she didn’t know was that Inuyasha could be very adequate and sophisticated when he wanted to be.
“How may I help you Mr. Uh.. Mr. Monks?” The clerk at the front desk said.
“Yes, Mr. Monks. And I’m doing fine today, except for the occasional lost luggage and a business associate leaving you behind at the airport; everything is going good I’d say.” Miroku said as he smiled at Sango whom was still lost in her own little thoughts.
“Ok we have reservations for one hotel suit for a couple, isn’t that what you reserved Mr. Monks?”
“ Uh.. No” Miroku was about to say when Sango cut in with a low scream. “What?! No no no! Him and I were supposed to have SEPARATE rooms!” she said angrily. “Ahem.. Please ignore her sir; she’s had ng dng day already. And no sir, I reserved two separate rooms.” Miroku said calmly to the clerk.
“Oh, well I’m sorry Mr. Monks. We’re booked and there must have been an error in the reservation because we only now have this one room left.” The clerk said a little hesitant as he waited for Sangos reaction.
Before Sango could cut in with her say so Miroku said “That’ll be fine sir. We’ll take that room.”
“Yes ok Mr. Monks, sorry of the inconvenience. “For our mistake we’d like to offer free room service for the rest of your stay” The clerk said as he watched Sango calm down a little.
Miroku smiled some “Yes that’ll be nice.” He said. “Your room is room 269 sir. a n a nice day.” The clerk said as he handed Miroku the keycard to it. Miroku and Sango walked to the elevator, which was dazzling just as the hotel was. *DING! DING! DING! * The elevator charmed as its doors opened.
Sango stood in the back of the elevator as Miroku pushed the buttons to go to their floor.
*DING! DING! DING! * The elevator rang once more as they reached their floor.
If Sango didn’t think the hotel could get even better she was wrong. Sango was speechless as she walked into the room. It was a very large nice fancy room. The bed was huge. Way bigger then the one she had at home with Inuyasha. Miroku looked quite pleased with the room. It even had a very nice couch and a nicely sized TV with DVD and VHS players. After Sango was finished exploring the bedroom she ventured into the bathroom. Sango was amazed at the marble Jacuzzi sized bathtub with gold lining everywhere and a beautiful walk-in shower.
Miroku looked threw the fridge a bit and found himself a bottle of wine; he decided he’d save that for later. Miroku pulled out two Pepsi’s and found Sango fiddling around in the bathroom. Miroku stood there a minute watching her fiddling around with things when she had dropped her glasses onto the floor. Miroku couldn’t help but watch her as she bent down. Her body so finely curved and shaped. His eyes couldn’t help but land on her behind and stare there for a second. After a minute of watching Sango fiddle around with stuff he snapped out of his thoughts and walked into the bathroom. “Hey Sango, want a Pepsi?” Miroku asked as he saw Sango jump back from looking in the mirror. “Miroku! You scared me! How long have you been standing there?” She asked.
“Long enough.” Miroku said with a smirk on his face. Before Miroku knew it he had a red slap print in his face. “OW! What was that for Sango?!” Miroku said as he rubbed his face.
“That was for A, dragging me off to St.Louis with you! B, taking me away from Inuyasha on the weekend and keeping me from my home until Wednesday! C, for the airport losing our luggage and finely D, for the reservations being messed up!” Sango shouted. And before Miroku could blink another hand print landed on his face. “Owww! And what was that for!?” Mirsaidsaid as he held the other side of his face.
“That is for staring at my butt and it also makes the redness on your face even.” Sango said as snatched a Pepsi out of his hand and walked into the bedroom. ‘She knew?’ Miroku thought, as he just stood there stuplified.

Saturday morning still, Los Angeles 11:30 AM (Inuyashas and Sangos Apartment)
Soon Kagome would arrive at Inuyashas apartment.
Inuyasha was happy that he and Kagome could hang out for a while since they hadn’t hung out in a few years.
Inuyasha brushed his hair and put on a pair of old rough black and blue jeans along with a regular white T-shirt.
He’d always liked comfortable cloths like that. Instead of the formal business suits Miroku always wore; even on weekends.
Soon Inuyasha heard a soft knock at his front door.
He rushed out of his room and to the front door. *Knock knock knock*
He heard once more.. He opened the door to see a very lovely looking Kagome in a pair of blue jean cut off shorts and a white T-shirt with a heart on it.
“Hello Inuyasha.” Kagome said sweetly, which snapped Inuyasha out of his dazing aw look.
“H-hi Kag, c’mon in. I was about to call in lunch, do you want anything?” Inuyasha said as he led Kagome inside “Wow you and Sango have a very nice Apartment. Looks like you two have rearranged and painted since the last time I’ve been here” Said Kagome as she came inside and sat down on the sofa. “Yea we have. Sango insists that we redecorate once a month. Even th we we don’t have that many guests come over she still insists that the place looks too formal for just us.” Inuyasha said as he laughed and went over to the phone. “Hehe, Yeah. Sango has always been fan fancy ssticsticated type. Even in college she demanded we keep our room clean and everything neat and perfect.” Kagome said as she giggled some.
“So Kag, like I said. I’m ordering lunch. What would you like? Chinese? Italian? Japanese? Mexican? Anything at all?” Inuyasha said as he wondered what kinda food Kagome liked nowadays. He remembered that she used to like Chinese food back in high school and college..
“Um.. Chinese?” Kagome said as she looked around his apartment from her seat.
‘Wow I remembered’ Inuyasha thought. ‘I guess she really hasn’t changed as much as I thought over the years.’
Inuyasha dialed up the best Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles.
As Inuyasha ordered, Kagome lost herself in her own thoughts..
‘He’s so sexy in those jeans.. I guess I forgot how really sexy he is when he’s not in his business cloths.’ She thought to herself as she watched Inuyasha order the food.
“Ok, yes sir. Thanks. Bye bye.” Kagome heard Inuyasha say as he hung up the phone and sat in the chair across from the sofa. “So.. Kagome how’ve you been? And what would you like to do today?” Inuyasha asked as he admired Kagome some. ‘She’s so fit. So desirable.. Why did I get into engaged to Sango again?’ Inuyasha thought to himself ‘Oh yea I remember why now..’

Sango and Inuyasha started dating right after Miroku and Kagome did.
It was Kagomes idea for them to get together so they could go out on double dates and stuff.
After awhile Inuyasha tried to ignore his feelings for Kagome and focused on what some feelings he had for Sango. As the years went by and several dates, Inuyasha had heard that Miroku and Kagome had gotten engaged.
Inuyasha was saddened by the news after years of hoping for Kagome and Miroku to break up so he could finely confess his feelings to her. But now it was to late.. So he’d decided to stay with Sango. Even if they fought a lot and Sango was so controlling. Inuyasha decided to propose to Sango and just settle down with her. Even though he felt more and more for Kagome everyday and would never guess that she felt the same since she was always caught up with Miroku

“I’ve been good Inuyasha. Miroku and I are hopefully going to sit down again and discuss more wedding plans when he returns. And I don’t know what I want to do today. What would you like to do?” Kagome said which snapped Inuyasha out of his thoughts. “That’s great that you and him are finely sitting down and planning stuff. Sango has forced me to.” Inuyasha said as he laughed a little. “And I don’t know what I want to do. It’s up to you Kag. You always knew fun things to do.”
“Well... We could go to the park for awhile and feed the fish and then sit around and talk awhile..” Kagome said as she twiddled her thumbs some as she thought about what to do today.
“That sounds good. I haven’t been to the park in awhile so it’d be nice to get some fresh air. And you know, afterwards I can take you to dinner if you’d like?” Inuyasha said nicely.
“That’d be good Inuyasha. But before that, when will the Chinese be here?”
“Oh! Yea I forgot to tell you. It’d be here in about 10 more minutes or less. If it isn’t here soon it’ll be free.” Inuyasaidsaid as he looked at his watch.
Right then Inuyasha heard a knock on his door. “Ooo! Chinese is here!” Said a happy Inuyasha as he jumped out of his chair and walked to the door to greet the deliver “Here’s a fifty, keep the change” Inuyasha said as he took the Chinese food from the man and set it on the table.
”t.. thanks sir!!” the deliver said seeing as how the meal only cost $23.25.
“Your welcome” Said Inuyasha as he closed the door, too into Kagome to even think of what he just did; Kagome giggling as she noticed but didn’t say anything.
”What’s so funny?” Inuyasha asked puzzled by her giggling.
”Oh nothing” she said as they sat down to eat, hoping he didn’t notice her blush.
Soon after, Inuyasha and Kagome finished eating and chatting about the past.
They hopped in Inuyashas 1986 Ford ‘T-bird’ and headed to the park.
The day was going to be very good for Inuyasha and Kagome…
