CHAPTER FOUR — KAGOME GIVES BIRTH—
[three months later]
Kagome woke up to inuyasha serving her with breakfast she thanked him she was gonna get up when inuyasha siad”now be carful we don’t want you to hurt yourself”. “well if you don’t want me to hurt myself then you could at least help me up to go to the bathroom”. “okay, okay I’ll help you up” he said . He went over to her and lifted her up onto his shoulders. kaede was sleeping in a tent outside their home for a few weeks when she saw inuyasha carry kagome out the door. She got up and asked “what is it that thou needeth?”. “she needs to go to the restroom” said inuyasha. Kaede took kagome down to the make shift restroom in the bushes and they returned in a minutes time. Kagome was tired from her pregnancy and decided to take a nap.
Inuyasha made sure she was asleep before heading down to breakfast. When he got there he saw miroku rubbing songo’s bulging belly she was going to have twins in about six months. sesshoumaru and rin had been trying to have a kid but was unsuccessful until two weeks ago when she found out she was also birthing twins. They sat around the table eating breakfast when rin asked if kagome showed any signs of labor. He shrugged and replied that he didn’t know. A little annoyed with his answer she told him to keep an eye on her. “That remind’s me” said miroku” I need to go see lady kaede about our medicine. He kissed sango and headed up the hill. He wasn’t gone too long when he came running down the hill screaming to inuyasha that it was time. Inuyasha was so excited he nearly choked on his ramen, he ran up the hill at full speed carrying sango on his back. When he reached the house he smelled that she was already giving birth to one of his children he rushed through the door just in time to see the head of the first infant pop out. kagome was screaming in pain when inuyasha rushed to her side holding her hand to give her his support . After the first one cleared her opening the second head popped out. Kaede also removed this one.
But there was a problem with the final one it’s head was facing the wrong way. Kaede said if she couldn’t turn it, it would surely die. Sango and the others listened to their horror. Rin asked if there was anything for them to help with kaede told her and inuyahsa to hold kagome still, they did as they were told. Kagome screamed again as kaede thrust her hands into her eager to correct the problem. She felt around until she could feel the baby’s head. She turned it towards the opening and told kagome to push. Kagome sucked in air and gave a heavy push, the baby’s head slid out and kaede helped it the rest of the way out. She went to smack the infant to cause breathing but it did not, they all stood in horror the baby would die if they didn’t get it to breath soon. Sesshoumaru ran out of the house and down the hill until he came to his own house. he lifted up the floor boards and grabbed the one thing he knew would save the infant, the tenseiga. He ran up the hill and found they were all crying especially kagome.
When he looked inside he couldn’t believe they had just given up. He pulled the sword out of it’s sheath and told them to move away from the child. He looked into the shadows and saw the spirit demons and with one sure swing he killed them. A second later the room had filled with the sound of another crying infant. Kagome was so pleased she tried to get up to thank him when inuyasha pushed her down and said it was time she rested. They wrapped up all three of the newborn girls and laid tin ain a crib next to the new parents. The first was a white haired that they named tina , the second was grey which they named kisa the third was a silvery blue and looked a cross between kagome, inuyasha and sesshoumaru.(don’t you be thinking what I think you’re thinking because it’s not true. kagome was faithful you naughty people you) They named it maru after sesshoumaru, who saved it’s life. everyone decided to leave except kaede who remained out side.
Kagome laid back down and sighed with happiness, sweat still covering her body. She never thought anything that hurt so bad could turn into three things so right. She stared into inuyasha’s golden eyes and said something he always liked to hear” I love you inuyasha” she said.”I love you too” he said back to her. He picked one of the crying children up and asked if she would like to hold it. She said yes and took the infant from him. As she stared at the one called tina she noticed that she already was growing teeth. But what made it so darn adorable was it’s cute little puppy ears. She learned quite quickly on how to hold a baby ‘somehow’ she thought ‘ she just knew these things’. It was strange that she new how to care for a baby. In fact it was kinda a neat experience. The baby started to cry again, she didn’t know what to do. She had inuyasha go get kaede so she could help. After a brief talk with her kagome placed the baby’s mouth on her breast and it began to suckle she. thought it would hurt because of the baby’s teth but it didn’t the infant did not use the teeth. She had inuyasha pick up the second child, kisa, and she also let it feed. After the first kisa was finished she he picked up the last one, maru, and she too started to feed. She did not have teeth. Inuyasha figured that she was the runt of the litter, but decided not to tell kagome.
All of the sudden they heard a bloodcurdling scream as rin flew past kaede at top speed running from a wolf. Inuyasha ran too see the problem and stopped the wolf dead in its tracks by knocking it out. Just then something jumped out of the bushes and landed on his head. “ thank you for stopping it” said kouga who was putting weight on inuyash’s head . “Why didn’t ‘you’ stop it?” said inuyasha.” because it had a demon spirit in it and I couldn’t control it” said kouga. Kouga jumped down from his perch and killed the wolf. “I’d rather it die than suffer through endless torment”kouga said. Sesshoumaru finally entered the scene and rushed to his lovers side “ are you all right?” he asked. “I am now”said rin..” you need to control those wolves of yours kouga or I’ll kill them and you ” sesshoumaru said in a pissed off voice. Kagome came out with two of the infants in her hands the other was bing held in a pouch on her back. Koga took one look at her and said “kagome! I thought you went back to your own time”. “I decided to stay here and start a family”.said kagome “that’s not what you told me” said inuyasha. Sesshoumaru cut in this time and said “you really need to learn about females body language brother”. “ well to get back on the subject, I was told to give these to your children, for helping the goddess of water. Said kouga” he gave inuyasha a bundle of weapons. Rin broke in and asked if she could hold tina kagome agreed and gave her the sleeping child. After delivering his gifts koga left. They all decided to help kagome cope with her knew task. The men went to get food. While the women helped around the house making her as comfortable as possible
