It had happened inside a shrine, on sacred grounds. Yes, Sesshoumaru remembered it now…

As he was walking off Sango came up in front of him. “Sesshomaru put Kaede down, I want let you take her away.” Sango was getting her short sword to fight him for Kaede’s lif

“I have no intent on killing her, but I will not hand her over to you and that mutt of a brother I have. He can not protect his own mate, what makes you think he can protect my mate?” With that he jumped into the sky followed by Rin on Au-Uhn. Sango just looked up at the sky where Lord Sesshomaru once was. “Sango what are you looking at?” Kagome asked ing ing up to her, “Inuyasha and the others are looking for Kaede.”
“Kagome, Lord Sesshomaru just took Kaede away with him. He told me that she was his Mate and that Inuyasha can’t protect me, how can he protect his Mate.” She gave Kagome a look and walked off to find her mate.

Lord Sesshomaru walked in to his room and put Kaede on the bed. He looked at her would see flashes of the past. How he fell in love with the one-eyed miko, and that he so wanted to go back to her and have her as a mate. But his pride would not let him do that. She was all that he would think about 24/7. He would spy on her over the years. How he wanted to hold her, to touch her, to mate with her over and over again.

He settled down next to her and brushed a few black strands away from her hair. He saw her eye lid flutter for a second and then she opened her dark grey eye. He looked closely and saw fear deep inside her grey depth. But she was good in hiding it from him, but she feared him and he growled softly.
“Kaede-chan, do you not remember me?” he asked silently and used his right thumb and caressed her soft lips.
She shook her head. But she knew he reminded her of her dream lover, the one she always seemed to dream about when she was young. He who came during the dark hours to comfort her when she felt lonely.
“We have met once before, but it was over forty years ago. You were a very young shrine maiden and I gave you a reason to live.” said Sesshoumaru.
Kaede gasped, he used the exact words that the demon in her dreams softly whispered to her. Her eye widened and she looked up into his face. His crescent moon, his striped cheeks, it look so very alike her dream lover. ‘But what if the first dream was not a dream?’ a small voice whispered inside her head and she felt her heart constricted with emotions.
“Don’t cry love, I don’t want to see your tears, it makes me feel sad.”
“You weren’t a dream were you?” she choked out.
“What do you mean koi?”
“I have had have this dream as long as I can remember, I met a very special person in the shrine. We… we made love the whole night. But as the time passed I was so sure… I thought it was only a dream, and I kept on dreaming of him.” whispered Kaede and now the tears fell fr fro from her eye.
“Oh dear Gods, my little Kaede…” said Sesshoumaru and pulled her close and kissed the top of her head. If he had known she would have suffered like this he would never have left her. “It was not a dream Kaede-chan, it was very real. I made love to you that night, wanting you to go on so you could be there to help my brother when he was released from his magical imprisonment.”
“Why did you leave me? Why did you never come back.. just to visit me?” she asked and let her arms encircle his strong rge, ge, resting her head against his shoulder.
“I could not, you are a human, a human miko and I am a demon, we would never have been accepted. But the Gods know that I wished I could have taken you with me that day. I looked you up over the years, making sure that you were alive and well. I saw you aged and turn into a kind old lady. But when I saw you earlier today I was sure that my eyes were deceiving me. But when I realized that you were the mate I could not have I could not let you go again. This time I don’t care about what people or demons think, I am going to make it known to the world that you are my mate, and I will never leave you behind again Kaede-chan. This Sesshoumaru promise on his youkai-honor!”
“Sesshoumaru-sama…” she breathed and felt a wave of warmth wash over her.

He placed a finger under her chin and pushed her head up, he ld ind into her grayness and he smiled gently.
“I want to kiss you again Kaede, may I?”
She nodded and felt her heart skip a beat.
Sesshoumaru lowered his head and he took possession of her soft lips again. Just to feel and taste her again was creating chaos inside his soul. He swore silently to the Gods that he would never leave her side again. He had gone through so much pain, and he would not do it again. He did not care how it was possible for her to be this young again; the only thing that mattered to him now was that she was with him again.
He felt her open up under his caressing tongue and he slipped inside her mouth. He moaned when he felt her respond with the same kind of heated love as he was feeling for her.
Her hands moved up and down his strong back. Kaede felt a bit ashamed to wanting him to be naked, she wanted him to do all that he had done in the past with her, she wanted him so badly it hurt inside. “Please, Sesshoumaru, love me.” she cried when she felt his clawed and move to cup a soft breast.
“I will. We will make love until we can not stand up.” he whispered huskily and ripped her kimono away and undressed. He climbed into bed with her and pulled her warm body into a crushing embrace.
Kaede found his pointy ears and she followed the outline with her fingers, and she smiled when she heard him purr in content. “You like to have your ears rubbed Sesshoumaru?” she asked.
“Only if it is you who do the rubbing love.” He said and nuzzled her neck, taking in her scent. Magical scent. Perhaps he should ask her about her youthful transformation after all? No it could wait; first he wanted to make love to her. He needed to be inside her again. “Lay on your stomach love.”
Kaede moved around and she felt him take hold of her hips and pull her up to stand on her hands and knees. His hands moved from her hips and to her breast, cupping them, rubbing them against his palms. Kaede made a small gasp when she felt him pinch her sensitive nipples. He closed his eyes and threw his head back and howled into the air. This was heaven on earth, to feel her again around his manhood. How many nights had he not dreamed of this? How many daydreams have he had about doing this with her again?
He began moving slowly in and out of her tight body, growling every time she squeezed her inner muscles around his flesh. He soon was lost in the world of erotic blissfulness. He snarled and moved down to bite down her neck, just to feel her blood flow into his mouth set off his release and he spilled his seed into her body. For a moment they both held perfectly still. Kaede got up and looked at Sesshomaru, she loved him but what if the spell stopped and she was a old woman again? What would he think of her, would he still love her or would he send her away? So she made a small potion to make him sleep longer so she can run away back to her village. As she run tears filled her eyes ' I do love you Lord Sesshomaru but I’m scared of what may happen and I don't want that to happen.'

By the time Sesshomaru got up she was gone. He looked all tell he find a note.

Dear Lord Sesshomaru,

I am sorry for going and not telling you, but I am scared of the fact that I could turn into an old woman again and I am pretty certain that you will not want an old woman as a mate so I will go and hope that one day you will forgive me.
