A Royal Pain

Kagome woke up in the healing chambers as Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru looked down at her. Inuyasha looked very concerned and Sesshoumaru looked impassive as always.

“Are you alright Kagome?”

Inuyasha asked holding her hand.

Kagome nodded and went to sit up only to have Inuyasha lay her back down.

“Don’t rush yourself Kagome.”

Kagome lay back down and looked at Inuyasha.

“What’s wrong?”

Inuyasha sighed. What was he supposed to tell his wife? It wasn’t like it was really bad news. In fact it wasn’t anything he could complain about.

“Nothing is wrong. You just gave us quite the scare.”

The healer stated.

“We will have to test her abilities after the pup is born.”

Sesshoumaru stated calmly.

Inuyasha shrugged.

“Do we really need to wait? I mean the spell did work, just not in the way we planned.”

Sesshoumaru frowned.

“I don’t like the idea of having her lose control with a pup on the way. Lord Sesshoumaru is correct Lord Inuyasha.”

Kagome was starting to get worried.

“What is going on?”

Kagome asked and Inuyasha just pat her hand.

“Don’t worry about it Kagome we will figure out this whole mess.”

Kagome started to get really concerned.

“It has to be her miko powers. That is the only explanation for this whole situation.”

Sesshoumaru stated.

“Do any of you care that I am in this room? What is wrong with me!?”

Kagome hollered finally.

Inuyasha winced at the yell, but then sighed.

“I’ll break it to her Lord Inuyasha.”

The healer stated.

“No Aito, I will tell her.”

Inuyasha stated softly.

“Kagome, when that spell was completed………well………it didn’t do what we thought it would do. I mean Sango, Miroku, and their kids it worked for them……….I just don’t know how to explain this…”

Inuyasha looked at Sesshoumaru who just looked down then away.

“Inuyasha, it is not like the spell turned her into an aardvark.”

Sesshoumaru muttered.

“An aardvark?”

Kagome asked as she looked at her husband who looked completely uncomfortable with what he was trying to say.

“You are not an aardvark hanyou.”

Aito confirmed.

“Well Kagome when we did that spell it worked on everyone……….except with you there was some complications. Your purifying powers tried to kill the demon you were to become.”

Kagome frowned.

“So what exactly are you all trying to tell me?”

Kagome stated and this time sat up pushing Inuyasha’s hand away since she refused to just lie down anymore.

“Well……you are part demon…….”

Kagome sighed.

“Yes I see I have claws and I feel the fangs in my mouth.”

Kagome stated.

Aito figured Inuyasha had been stalling long enough.

“We know you are a demon, but we don’t know what kind of demon you are my Lady.”

Kagome frowned.

“Well I have to be some kind of animal don’t I? I mean all the demons we ever dealt with were some kind of animal, plant, or bug. I am not a bug am I?”

Inuyasha smiled.

“No you are not a bug. You aren’t a plant or animal either. We really don’t know what kind of demon you are, but you are definitely not anything creepy. In fact you are quite beautiful Kagome not that you were not beautiful before.”

Sesshoumaru had the long mirror brought in by the servants so that Kagome could see herself.

Kagome was in awe of the reflection. Her onyx hair was now down past her hips in waves. There were no markings on her face and apparently Inuyasha had time alone with his wife to check other places for markings. There were none.

When Kagome went to touch her face she accidently scratched herself with her claws.

“I guess I need to be more careful about these.”

Kagome stated as she looked down at her clawed fingers. The scratch was already healing itself.

Her eyes were exactly the same as they were before, but her eyelashes were thicker and longer than before making her eyes look more exotic.

“We figure your miko powers wished to remain strong and you still have them although we are concerned that if your demon comes out from hiding that you might accidently kill yourself with your purification powers.”

Aito stated as he saw Kagome frown a bit.

“I am unsure that they would kill me if they let me go this far Master Aito. Still I can see why Sesshoumaru would want to see my full demonic potential so we can put this mystery to rest.”

Kagome stated as she turned away from the mirror and allowed Inuyasha to put an arm around her waist.

“No matter what, I will always love you Kagome. It doesn’t matter to me what demon you become. All that matters is us as a family.”

Sesshoumaru frowned at that comment.

“She will not be my mate Inuyasha.”

Inuyasha growled at Sesshoumaru.

“Like it or not I include you in the term family Sesshoumaru. You don’t have to mate her, but you will still be an uncle to our children.”

Sesshoumaru resigned himself to silence. He refused to argue with Inuyasha in front of the healer. Until he decided to accept Kagome as part of his pack he would remain undecided about his feelings for Kagome. Those feelings also referred to any offspring that Kagome had.

Just accepting Inuyasha as a brother and mate had been a huge step for Sesshoumaru. He was selfish by nature and although he liked younglings he was not about to accept them right away since he was still rather irritated with having to share his mate with Kagome. Why he had agreed to accepting her into their bedroom was beyond him at this point since Sesshoumaru honestly preferred to have Inuyasha all to himself.

It was just a matter of time for Inuyasha to impregnate Sesshoumaru so that they could have an heir to the throne and that child would take precedence over any children sired by his mate and that Kagome woman.

The only thing that Sesshoumaru liked about Kagome was that she was from the future and had been a good healer in the village that had taken her and Inuyasha in. Both Rin and Kagome had healing abilities, but Kagome would know a lot more about healing than Rin. As soon as Kagome had the pup she was going to be so busy helping the healers and running the castle like his Mother did that she would be exhausted enough to mainly sleep so that Sesshoumaru would be able to rut with his mate anytime he wished.

Perhaps with time Sesshoumaru would come to like Kagome and perhaps Naraku was really a saint with good intentions. Sesshoumaru decided it could happen, but most likely unless he was mated to the girl he would continue to only tolerate her presence.

Sesshoumaru’s hate for Kagome was not his outlook on women of course. Sesshoumaru loved to fuck both sexes, but he preferred Inuyasha over any woman any day of the week. Perhaps it was because mating made him act like a love sick fool for Inuyasha and it forced him to feel such jealously it was unreal.

Just looking at his mate with his arm around Kagome’s waist made him want to lash out at Kagome and take Inuyasha away to someplace that didn’t allow wives to interfere with his sex life or his life in general.

Perhaps if he was lucky Kagome would purify herself to death. Sesshoumaru knew it was wishful thinking, but he could always fantasize about it. In fact it made him want to smile.

As Kagome leaned into Inuyasha, Inuyasha felt loved and secure. He could now mate his wife and perhaps if Sesshoumaru got his head out of his ass he would grow up and accept Kagome since Inuyasha planned to be mated to them both until the day he died. Kagome taught him how to love and that it was ok to be himself as a half demon. Kagome may have pissed him off with those stupid beads, but they weren’t there anymore and Kagome promised she would never put them on him again.

Really out of everyone, Kagome was getting a raw deal out of everything since she gave up everything for Inuyasha including her humanity. She didn’t have to, but Kagome loved Inuyasha so much she did not want to be parted from him.

Sesshoumaru for the most part got everything he wanted to with the exception of tessaiga. The biggest thing Sesshoumaru had that Inuyasha did not was time with their Father. Someday soon Sesshoumaru would have to tell him more about Inu No Tashio Lord Togaou.

As Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha left the healer all of them wondered the same thing. How powerful was Kagome now since she kept her purification powers. Sesshoumaru could handle someone powerful trying to purify him. It wasn’t a concern for him, just a curiosity. It was his people Sesshoumaru had to worry about if Kagome suddenly decided to go nuts on them.

Kagome was now a hanyou without a particular scent, without markings to show what she was, and no key to what powers she did have since all hanyous were born with different attributes and abilities. It wasn’t good to be so unpredictable.

As Kagome followed her husband and Sesshoumaru out of the healer’s rooms, she thought about her purification powers and how they might affect the child in her womb. It kind of frightened her that she might purify the baby. She would have to ask about that at some point since she really wanted this child with Inuyasha. Kagome also wondered if it was still going to be a hanyou.

Perhaps when Lady Luna called for her they could go to the healers together later in the day since she did not wish to bother the healer too much after he just released her. Besides, Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru probably were tired of her being at the healers so much already and she had told Inuyasha the baby was a hanyou when she had been human.

Would Inuyasha be upset if it wasn’t a hanyou? Kagome hoped that he would not. She kind of hoped the pup would have Inuyasha’s cute ears.
