Cursed Love

Kagome headed into Kaede's village still a little shook up with that mysterious demon in the well. Shippo spotted Kagome coming into the village "hey Kagome's back!" he said excitedly to the others inside the hut. "Kagome! Kagome!" Shippos said running towards her and giving her a hig glad to be back.
Miroku and Sango came over and greeted Kagome. "Welcome back Kagome are you ready to go look for jewel shards? Miroku asked.
"Is something wrong?" Sango asked.
"Huh? I'm fine."
"You look a little shooken up, are you sure you're alright?"
"Yea I'm fine. Um can we wait until tomorrow to go hunting for jewel shards."
"That's fine we weren't quite ready anyway." Miroku said.
Kagome went inside the hut to greet Kaede. "Kaede..."
"Kagome how nice to see you back so soon. Is there something wrong Kagome you look like you have something on your mind?"
"Um...Kaede is there by chance a demon living in the bone eaters well?"
"A demon? That's nonsense the only thing there are the bones of demons. Why do you ask? You didn't get attacked by one did you?"
"Um...what do you know about a man named Ichijo?"
Kaede was taken a back momentarily by the sudden change in subject from demons to a mysterious man named Ichijo.
"Come again?"
"Do you know of a man named Ichijo?"
Kaede wet her lips as she thought about it. "I heard stories as a child of a man named Ichijo once, three hundred years ago he was the younger son of a rich monarch or something. His older brother who was engaged to a beautiful woman fell into a trap by a vicious demon who killed him. Ichijo wanted revenge for his brother's death and he went and faught with the demons which was around the begining of the first major war between demons and humans. I am sure there is more to the story but I can't remember clearly. What brings this on all of a sudden?"
"As I was returning back to my own time I met a man who went by the name Ichijo."
"Just a coincidence I'm sure Kagome people name there children after famous heros and such. Besides that happened three hundred years ago he'd be long since dead."
"Yea I know that. But this man was talking to someone in the well and it answered."
"I see." Kaede said as she got up and left her hut.

"So you want me to meet you at the castle to lure Inuyasha out so you can get your hands on this demon is that right?" Kikyo asked.
"More or less and you'll have a soul to call your own as soon as you achieve this goal for me."
"Why are you so interested in this demon?"
"His kind killed my brother Eiji I want my revenge for that. You I'm sure can understand in someway for wanting revenge."
"Killing this demon wont bring your brother back from the dead."
"I know that! But I am sure I will feel better knowing I accomplished my goal. Look at the time I have yet another appointment I'll be seeing you at the castle by tomorrow night then?"
Kikyo nodded slowly. Ichijo let a grin cross his thin lips. "Excellent, Priestess Kikyo I take my leave of you."
After Ichijo left the man Kikyo had bandaged earlier came into the hut. "Priestess is it wise to trust such a man who just waltz into town asking for help in this mannner?"
"I'm aware that he is up to something. I am rather curious as to who he really is and who he's working for. So I will work with him until I get that information."

"Damn that Sesshomaru! How dare he turn down my beautiful daughter for some slut whoever she is!" Usagi said when he got back to his fortress.
"So I'm not going to be mated to Lord Sesshomaru?" Yoshi asked not sure whether to be relieved at not having to deal with Lord Sesshomaru and his cold heartedness and disappointed that she wont be the one to join the two sides together.
"Not to worry my dear you'll be Lord Sesshomaru's mate I garentee it. I just wish I knew who that skank was who got there before I could get you married off to him."
"I can help you there." someone called from down the corridor.
"Who said that?"
"I said that." Ichijo said as he appeared before Lord Usagi and his daughter.
"You, you're just a human! How the hell did you get into my fortress so easily?"
"That's not important, I'm here to help you with your problem."
"Oh really? How?"
"You want to know who Sesshomaru is mated to do you not? I know who it is and I want the demon."
"Oh yeah? Wait what do you want with that demon?"
"That's my business. Now then all I ask of you is to call your men to arms and I promise your daughter will be happily mated to Lord Sesshomaru, that and leave the demon to me."
"Heh...hear that Yoshi you'll be mated to Lord Sesshomaru after all."
Yoshi was unsure about this, yet pleased at the thought that she'd be mated to Lord Sesshomaru.
"So do we have a deal?"
"Alright." Usagi said shaking the man's hand.
"Excellent. The demon's name is Ren."
"Ren?"
"Yes that obnoxious widow demon, the only type of demon who uses sex as a weapon to lure in its prey."
"Widow demon? Surely you don't mean a Black widow demon?" Yoshi asked concerened.
"That's correct."
"But that's impossible! For starters they all perished at least two hundred years ago, secondly if it was a widow demon as you say Sesshomaru would be dead now." Usagi said.
"True Usagi but you see Ren is only half black widow so he has certain human qualities and human instincts, that prevent him from doing what most widow demons deem natuarl after being mated."
Usagi let a smile cross his face after hearing this Sesshomaru's mate was only a hanyu which would make it easy to kill him if they could just keep Sesshomaru occupied.
"Can you have your men ready to attack the Western Lands by tomorrow night?"
"Not a problem my men will be ready. Pleasure doing business with you Mr. Ichijo."
