Chapter Thirty-Four


"Yomi!" A guard came running into the room shocking all three of them even further. "We're under attack, the front gate. They're everywhere, guards are being killed on contact."

Taree released Yusuke who had yet to speak, "Wait Yomi, can you get me a bow please."

"See to it." He told the guard. He walked back into the room with the others. "Let's go, seems this fight has been cancelled."

Yusuke stepped back and ran out the room following the blind man. Tar ran in the opposite direction out the real door to follow the guard.

"What do we do?" Kurama asked. "If it is the same one as before leading them, we will die before we get close enough to kill him."

"Let me and Tar handle it." Kagome pulled out of Hiei's embrace. "Where is she?"

"In the room still." Yusuke stated. "She's not going out there."

Kagome stuttered in horror as she was commanded to stay in the room with Mukuro and Mai. The men left them to go outside and deal with the attack. Several minutes passed until the door was opened once more, this time Taree came in. She threw a bow and guiver in Kagome's hands.

"Let's go." She strapped the quiver on her back. "You can stay here but I refuse to hide. Where is the gates?"

"This way, lets go. Guess we will show them that us women can handle our own." Mukuro smiled. Seemed her heir and the detective had chosen well for themselves. She led them down the halls past the screaming youkai running for a place to hide.


Same as before the youkai were appearing out of nowhere this time hundreds of them. The men fought taking them down, guards were falling all around them trying to save the people inside.

Kagome and the others ran outside. The situation didn't look good, Mukuro jumped straight into the battle with the men. They seemed suprised to see her, she was suppose to make sure the others stayed put.

"What do you suggest?" Mai saw Kurama fighting in the distance.

"We find the big guy, kill his fucking ass." Taree sensed him. She would never forget him, it was time for her revenge. "Mai you will have to stay here I'm afraid."

"No problem."

Kagome and Taree took off in the other direction bows in hand. They ran for several minutes before they were noticed by anyone. Tar erected a shield over both of them, the youkai collided with the barrier. They continued to run towards the source. "He's this way."

All the youkai stopped suddenly hundreds of them, they were recieving a single command from their master. "Kill them. Kill the girls." They all shot towards the two girls running.

Hiei landed beside Mukuro, "Where the hell are they going?"

"Kagome and Taree ran that way." Mai pulled up beside them. "They're going after the source."

"Dammit." Yusuke ran behind Hiei, a few youkai turned around to stop their advance. "We gotta get to them."


"Kagome, I think we are in trouble look." Tar saw all the youkai headed for them, this might have been a bad idea. They seemed to be intent on killing the two.

"No shit, what do you suggest?" She fired an arrow killing the closest. "We don't have enough arrows to take them all out."

"GET DOWN!" Both girls hit the ground as someone landed in front of them. A blast shot across the sky destroying some of the youkai.

The others stopped in their tracks as the blast tore through the mass, destroying them instantly. A huge part of the area was clear.

Kagome looked up and gasped. Red greeted her eyes along with long silver hair. She stood up not believing her eyes. He turned around looking at her with large amber eyes.

Tar saw her friend's shock but they didn't have time for it. "Look out." She released an arrow hitting a youkai coming from the left. "No time for a reunion you two we gotta get to him."

"Right, I'll keep them off you two. Come on." The hanyou ran in front of them clearing a large section out. Kagome snapped out of it real quick. She followed behind the two.

The three came upon the ringleader, both girls recognized him instantly. He turned and scowled at them, "I will destroy both of you with my bare hands." He shot a ball of black liquid at them.

Inuyasha grabbed Kagome jumping out the way, he sighed when he saw the other girl had been moved as well. Bout time he arrived. He landed with Kagome in his arms and set her on her feet. "Sesshoumaru don't get close to him."

"No, get me as close as you can." Tar spoke up at him. "If you can drop me right on top of him."

Sesshoumaru looked down at her like she'd lost all sense. "Don't be foolish, you will be killed instantly."

"Listen, just do it. I didn't ask your opinion." She called over to Kagome, "Kag's clear us a path so we can get close."

"Right." She fired an arrow taking out a few of them. She saw a mist shooting towards Sesshoumaru, she fired at it dissolving it. "Get the youkai, I'll get the mist."

"I'm on it." He released the power of the Tetsusaiga into the crowd.

The others joined them watching as they worked together. Kagome fired another arrow taking out most of the mist. She notched two arrows, releasing both of them. She fired the same time as him, the path was clear. "Now, Sesshoumaru."

Taree held on as he jumped to their destination, "Throw me at it!"

"I have another idea." He landed right in front of the damn thing, the mist instantly surrounded them.

"What the hell is he doing?" Yusuke watched in horror as the man took her straight to the thing. He was going to fire his reigun into the damn thing.

Kagome grabbed his arm, "No, don't; Sesshoumaru wouldn't have done it if he wasn't sure of what he was doing."

"That's for damn sure." Inuyasha swung the sword one last time wiping out the rest of the youkai.

Tar felt the man holding on to her, a strange energy was pulsing around them keeping them safe. Instead of using her bow, she withdrew an arrow. It pulsed in her hand as she drove it into the youkai's forehead. A bright light erupted around them, throwing them both back.

Sesshoumaru quickly righted himself and was in the air once again. He held the girl as they watched the creature below them start to be consumed by a bright light. It screamed in pain, he waited until it was gone before looking down at the girl in his arms.

Kagome sighed in relief when it was over, then she remembered who was standing a few feet away from her. The bow fell out her hand, "Inuyasha."

He sheathed his fang, not sure what to do. It had been so long since he'd seen her, so much had happened. Even after all the centuries he still loved her. "Kagome."

She ran into his arms, forgetting the others. His arms wrapped around her, pulling her tight.

Mai sweatdropped, "Did she just say Inuyasha? Wow, this can't be good." Hiei heard the name and felt like tearing the bastard in half for touching what was his.

Taree was still in the air and saw her friend in a warm embrace with the hanyou, "You Go Kagome!" She put her fingers in her mouth and whistled.

"Are you crazy?" Sesshoumaru asked. Even he could see the situation below was about to erupt. The little fire youkai's aura was rising by the second.

"Nah, I just like to start shit."
