Mistake
AN: Ok it went in that time. It really sucks when you spend over an hour and a half typing a long chapter. Then you hit add and the damn thing doesn't go through. Not once but three times. GRRRR!!!! I'll try to make this one longer but if it doesn't go through the puter is going out the window.
Chapter Thirty-Five
Yusuke didn't say anything to Sango but walked straight to his dresser grabbing some clothes. He glanced her way before walking into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. She let a sigh escape her mouth. Disappointment filled her heart, she'd been hoping to talk to him at least. Doubt filled her, when he said he loved her earlier had it been a lie? Was he merely trying to take responsibilty for her condition? Did he even want her? It didn't seem like the last few months being away from her had bothered him. He looked fine in her opinion. There was one way to find out but she wasn't any good at trying to seduce a man.
She cursed herself for being a coward. All her life she'd prided herself on being a fighter. Now when it mattered the most she was being a pussy about it. Coming to a decision she walked over to the bathroom door and knocked. No answer came so she tried the knob. She could hear the water running, he was in the shower. The door opened up and she stepped inside.
Yusuke heard the door open and moved the curtain aside baring his chest. He eyed Sango as she stayed there and looked at him. She watched the water trail down his chest, to his lean stomach to continue down where the curtain covered. "Is something wrong?"
"No, I just wanted to talk to you." She averted her eyes back to his face. A burning sensation was growing in her lower regions causing her nerves to jump.
"Can't it wait till I get out." He closed the curtain hoping she'd take the hint and leave.
Sango felt like picking the brush up and hurling it at him. But that wasn't the way to seduce a man. Would get a fight going but she didn't want to argue with him. She pulled the shirt over her head letting it land on the floor. Several seconds later she found herself pulling the plastic aside and climbing in. His back stiffened when he realized she was jumping in with him. Yet he didn't turn around.
She stood for over a minute behind him waiting for him to turn around and acknowledge her but he didn't. He stood there with his back to her, fists clenched at his side. Figuring he was angry at her she tried to comfort him by putting her arms around his waist. They slid around him and she placed her head against his back. His heartbeat echoed in her ear. She held him for a few minutes feeling content being close to him once more. Her hands began rubbing his chest and made their way down his stomach. During the two times they'd been together she'd never explored his body. So her hands took a life of their own, beckoning her to touch more of his body. As her hand dipped lower his voice interrupted.
"Get out!"
Sango's head jerked up. What had she done wrong? Did he not want her to touch him? Tears filled her eyes at the rejection. Surely he wasn't sending her away after saying he loved her. "Yusuke?" Her voice broke as tears fell.
He yelled this time leaving no room for arguement. "I SAID GET OUT OF HERE NOW!!!" His voice sounded harsh, hateful.
She jumped out, almost tripping over the edge. Tears ran down her face unchecked. She opened the door and ran into the bedroom. The robe was the only thing she had to put on, there was no way she was going back in the bathroom. Having wrapped herself, she headed down the hall.
"Kagome."
Kagome was busy trying to keep her emotions in control when she heard her friend. She got up to find Sango crying once more. "What's wrong?"
"I want to leave now." Her voice left no room for debate. She was leaving whether Kagome came with her.
"Okay, heres the clothes I brought for you, go put them on and we will leave." The girl went into the spare bathroom and was dressed in under a minute. After putting her shoes on while Kurama looked at her with sad eyes, she headed out the door with Kagome hot on her heels.
Sango kept walking, Kagome caught up to her and grabbed her hand. She wanted to know what had caused the outbreak but knew Sango wouldn't tell her until she was ready. The second they left the sidewalk along the apartment complex they were pelted by the rain.
