AN:This is the 4th time i've tried to write this chapter and it keeps messing up on me so it may be short so i don't have to keep typing the same thing over and over again. Sorry
Chapter Thirty-Four
Kagome walked back into the living room to see that Hiei was already gone and Keiko was getting ready to leave. So she said her farewells to the girl and watched her leave. She was once again left alone with Kurama. He was walking around tidying up so Kagome took the time to study him. The question popped back into her head and she wondered. So she took the time to study him. He bent over to pick something off the floor giving her a good view of his backside, so she looked. The beige pants he was wearing were snug on him giving her a delicious view. So she looked at each cheek studying examining. No panty line could be seen. 'Boxers, maybe.'
Kurama turned his head to see her scoping out his ass. He chuckled as he walked back over to her. "Kagome if you wanted to know all you had to do was ask." He bent down to whisper in her ear. "Since you seem so curious. I'm wearing..... nothing."
She felt her face turn red. "I wasn't thinking about that you pervert."
"Oh, sorry then. Just forget I said anything." He walked away and sat on the couch looking at the television.
Yeah right like she could forget that! The image of him naked underneath them pants was forever implanted in her mind. She went to sit next to him. 'He did that on purpose.' He pulled her close to him, so she tried to strike up a conversation. "So do you think Yusuke will ask Sango to marry him?"
"Probably, but then again Yusuke is kind of pig headed and doesn't express his softer feelings that well. He's a lot better at showing anger."
"Ah, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Have you ever thought about getting married, having a family?" She had to ask, she was curious how he felt about the subject.
"Yes, I thought about it before."
"And?" Kagome wanted an answer.
"Kagome, I know what you want to hear. But I have thought about it and have decided it isn't for me. I only plan on staying here in the human world for a few more years. Then I'm going to go back to Makai to continue my life as Yoko. Taking a wife wouldn't be right. A bandit has no need for a mate or a family. And I don't expect to leave a wife and family here waiting on me. Not when I know I won't return."
"Oh, I see." She turned around and smiled trying not to let her hurt show. She snuggled into his arm and kept her eyes glued forward. It hurt knowing that he didn't plan to stay with her. He was only being with her for awhile. One day he would walk away from her, and it hurt. Once again she was asking herself, when did she begin to love him so much.
