Prompt Summary: Jakotsu tries to escape his room.
None to gently slapping himself in the face Jakotsu regained control, after realizing he was losing his mind to panic and was about to become a useless puddle of fear and tears on the floor, and drew in a deep breath before glancing around the room for a way to escape. Remembering there was no windows for him to jump from, Jakotsu cursed under his breath before heading toward the door praying the fire hadn't made it up that far yet only to realize it was irrelevant as the door wouldn't open.
Deciding for the first time that his physical strength, that he had fought so hard to hide for years, might actually serve a purpose, Jakotsu rammed his shoulder into the door repeatedly until he had to stop due to the pain only to have it do no good. The door refused to budge as though there was something blocking it on the other side.
At the same moment, two thoughts crossed his mind. The first was that someone had started the fire and locked him in there on purpose. The second was that he was going to die there. Oddly enough, it never crossed his mind that Bankotsu might have been the one to start the fire, but he did think that he was his only chance to get out of there alive.
"Bankotsu! Save me!"
