Cursed Love

Ren moved his hand to his abdomen where a small bump showed. The new doctor would be here shortly to check on Ren and the baby's condition. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha waited in the room with him to make him feel more at ease about all this.
There came a knock on the door and Jaken came in "Master Sesshomaru, Lord Usagi is here."
Sesshomaru rolled his eyes he didn't want to have to deal with that rat bastard. He noticed Ren giving him a questionable look. "Very well Jaken I'll be right there..." Sesshomaru then turned to Ren and Inuyasha "excuse me I'll be back shortly, take care of him Inuyasha."
"Well duh..."
Sesshomaru gave Ren a small kiss before leaving and heading down to meet Lord Usagi.

Ren turned to Inuyasha. "Who is Lord Usagi?" he asked.
"I don't know much only he rules over the East."
"What does he want with Sesshomaru?"
"Who knows business of some sort. I wouldn't worry about it you got more important things to worry about."
"Yea I guess."
There came another knock on the door a few minutes later and the new doctor came in. "Good afternoon Ren." The doctor said with a smile making Ren uncomfortable at how friendly this doctor was.
The doctor opened his bag and pulled out some utensils to check on Ren's health. "I am going to have to ask you to lay down Ren."
Ren did as he was told as the doctor began to put pressure on his abdomen. Ren watched carefully as the doctor placed his head down on his abdomen and listened carefully. Ren thought this was odd for a doctor to do, just what kind of doctor was this new doctor.
The doctor lifted his head up after a while. "The baby seems to be healthy enough. Now Ren is there any questions you'd like to ask me? I know this is your first so I expect questions from new mothers."
"Um..." Ren said trying to think of something.
"When will this morning sickness be over with?"
"I believe you should be just about done with that part of your pregnancy."
"Umm...doctor I have a problem."
"What is it Ren?"
"Well, I can feel my male form wanting to come out, I feel the testosterone building inside of me. But I'm still in this form. So I was just wandering if my male form does come out will it hurt the baby?"
The doctor pondered this for a moment or two. "I don't think you have much to worry about Ren. After all you're still in your female form and since you're pregnant I don't think your male form will come out until after your pregnancy is over."
Ren nodded some what more reassured that the baby wont be in any danger. "Now then I have other appointments to take care of." the doctor said as he put his things away and left.
"Well Sesshomaru will be happy to hear that both you and the baby are healthy." Inuyasha said.
"Yea, hey how come he's not back yet?"
"Those meetings can take several hours especially if there's arguing involved."
"I see." Ren said getting up.
"Hey where are you going?"
"No where in particular I just need some fresh air."
Inuyasha watched Ren go. "There's something wrong with him. He hasn't talked much since the three of them came back from the forest." He said to himself.

Ren wandered down the hallways until he heard Sesshomaru's voice. "For the last time Usagi I am not interested!"
"You're mated already? Who is she? Surely she can't be as beautiful as my daughter Yoshi."
"I find that to be none of your business. You just wanted me to be mated with your daughter so you can take up share of my land."
"Mark my word Sesshomaru I will have this land and all it's treasure soon enough."
"You think you can threaten me! Get the hell out of here Usagi!"
"Once I find your weakness I'll be sure to start a war Sesshomaru and when I do it will all be mine." Usagi said before he left.
Sesshomaru slumped down in a chair Usagi was always true to his word if he was going to start a war he'd do it. This isn't what he wanted to deal with right now, he noticed Ren came into the room he gave a smile at him.
"How are you doing Ren?"
"I'm fine. But you look tense."
"It's nothing to concern yourself with Ren believe me."
"Yea right that guy wants a war so he can take your land. Why didn't you just kill him?"
"Because if I did that a war would indeed break out between the East and the West."

Naraku came across the well. "Hello down there?" He called out.
There was silence for a few minutes "Who disturbs my slumber?"
Naraku watched as a hand came out from inside the well as the body slowly began to raise. Naraku was face to face with one of the most legendary demons of all time.
"Who the hell are you? And what do you want?" The demon asked.
"I am Naraku and I wish to talk to you."
"Naraku, The half demon? I know exactly why you've come Naraku you wish for me to join you or become one with you. Don't make me laugh I have no interest in any of this."
"What is your interest with the Sorcerer Ichijo then?"
"Do you not know who he was before he sold his soul to me for the power of a Sorcerer?"
"I'm afraid not."
"If you want to know go to the Capital."
"The Capital? Isn't that where the human Emperor lives?"
"You catch on quick don't ya?"
"Are you trying to tell me that Ichijo is the son of the Emperor?"
"Was the son of the Emperor. Now you know my interest in him."
"What's the deal with the Black widow demon that you and him are obsessed with?"
"That is none of your business."
"I see how would you like to join forces with me?"
"Join forces with you? Don't make me laugh join forces with a half demon."
"Well we could get at the widow demon easier if we joined forces. Besides I have these." Naraku said showing the jewel shards he had.
"I see, well I suppose I can go against my code just this once and work with a half demon."
"Excellent. I am also after Inuyasha he's been in my way for far too long him and his friends."
"Inuyasha? Is he that new son of that Inutaisho?"
"Yes."
"I see is his father dead?"
"Yes."
The demon let a smile cross his thin lips. "This will make it easier once I am fully rejuvinated. Now that I have more shards I'll soon be able to leave this dreadful well once and for all."
The demon reached out his hand to Naraku's They shook in an agreement. The demon then tore the arm off Naraku like a twig. Naraku watched as the demon devoured the arm in one swallow.

Kagura watched from a distance as the demon devoured the Naraku puppet. She wondered what Naraku thought about all this. She decided to have a word with him, she left the demon to finish devouring the puppet Naraku.
