Misunderstood
Misunderstood
I thought I knew where I was going
This life has taken a turn
Making me think I am lost
In a world that makes little sense
I speak like any other
But my words seem foreign even to me
How to explain myself
Without sounding like a fool
It seems impossible to me
So I stand in confusion
Waiting for life to understand
I am not such a lost cause
At least I hope I am not
Perhaps time will tell
And then I will be free
To speak to others without fear
And to simply be who I am

Kouga could feel the presence of these tiger demons that did not seem to desire to hide their stench. As his pack finally closed in on the tigers he was surprised to find them simply resting in the nature made holes in the rock face of the mountain. Did they not sense his presence or were they just foolish enough to believe they would be invincible to what may be an enemy?
There were only six of them and Kouga figured this would be pretty easy until the large one with the black stripes stood up roaring as he yawned. The creature was massive in height and strength. Kouga was unsure about confronting this one without a larger pack, but he had to attempt to speak with these demons before resulting to eradicating them.
Kouga approached the tiger demon that indeed was a handsome creature. This Amare creature was only wearing a leather loincloth to cover his genitals not leaving much to the imagination. His muscles bulging and his waist length obsidian striped hair flowed about him. The large thickly lashed golden eyes looking at the wolf in curiosity, but showed no real intention of malice or of fear. Kouga almost licked his lips in spite of the fact he was looking at a cat demon. The creature was indeed the most beautiful being he had ever seen other than the Inu demons who radiated flawlessness.
Confronting this creature would not be easy, but Kouga knew if he did not confront Amare dead on that his pack would brand him as a coward and that alone gave Kouga the courage to do what he needed to do.
Amare looked at the wolf demon with curiosity as he tipped his head to the left. He had never seen a wolf demon before and definitely no demons that had ice blue eyes.
“I am Lord Kouga of the wolf demon tribe. You are trespassing on my lands and must leave this area immediately.”
Kouga stated after clearing his throat. Amare frowned.
“We are not here to cause trouble Lord Kouga. My people and I are only looking for a peaceful place to call home away from the human populations. May we at least stay one night before departing these mountains?”
Amare was tired and so were his people. So far they had been cast out of every place they had traveled to and Amare was near tears feeling as if his whole world would collapse soon since they really had no place to go.
Kouga thought about this for a moment.
“You may stay the night, but if you hunt any humans I will insure you all are slain. If it is land and a home you seek you may go west and seek audience with Lord Sesshoumaru. The Inu No Tashio can decide your fate from this point on. I can escort you there tomorrow since I have some business there as it is.”
Amare was grateful for the escort. He did not wish to cause more problems for his people and hoped that this Lord Sesshoumaru would have an answer for him that would allow his people to live in peace in this country.
Kouga was surprised that these tiger demons were being so docile. He expected them to lash out and had they done so there would have been casualties so Kouga felt pretty lucky that Amare was being reasonable. Still Kouga could not help feeling a little bit guilty for forcing them out of his territory. If it was not for the fact food was scarce enough now that his pack stopped feeding on humans, Kouga would have welcomed them.
Kouga sent out a messenger to travel to Lord Sesshoumaru’s castle so that the Inus would be aware of their plans. Kouga just hoped Lord Sesshoumaru would be in good spirits since Kouga did not want to deal with a pissed off Inu demon.

Shippo sat down with Sven who was pregnant again. Shippo couldn’t be happier since his mate seemed to glow in motherhood. What Shippo did not understand was why Sven did not want Shippo to let Fuu go. Fact was Shippo really only wanted Sven in his life, but Sven had become attached to the little female demoness and Shippo was a sucker for those large silver eyes making it damn near impossible to say no to his beloved mate.
Fuu seemed to be content to stay also and Shippo finally came to the conclusion that he could make things work between the three of them. Part of Shippo’s heart did belong to the tiny Inu demoness and he had to admit that at times it was nice to have those female charms available whenever he was in the mood for such things.
Shippo gently kissed Sven on those pouty full lips before he spoke.
“Sven do you know how much I love you?”
Sven blushed a bit.
“Yes my Lord I do.”
Shippo ran his fingers over Sven’s long silver hair.
“Well then tell me my love how you are fairing today.”
Sven proceeded to tell Shippo about his lessons and his walks through the gardens. So far Sven excelled in his reading and writing class. This made Shippo very proud of his mate since it was indeed a privilege to learn how to read and write.
“I am very proud of you Sven. You take your duties seriously and you do not fuss about them like Inuyasha does.”
Sven chuckled a bit at that.
“Yes, Lord Inuyasha is indeed amusing. He seems to fight everything and everyone.”
Shippo rubbed his chin for a second.
“Perhaps we should plan an outing to go and see our Inu allies. It has been a while since we have traveled. Do you think you are up to it?”
Sven smiled. He wasn’t that far along in his pregnancy and perhaps it would do them all good to visit the Inu No Tashio and his mates.
“I think that would be a good thing my Lord.”
Shippo smiled.
“Then I shall send a messenger to the Inu No Tashio that we will be arriving the day after tomorrow.”
Sven smiled as he leaned into his mate’s embrace. It would be good to go back to the Inu No Tashio’s castle since he was curious if anything had changed while he was gone.

Inuyasha and Thoren had decided to take music lessons to pass the time. Thoren was getting pretty good with the violin, but Inuyasha was struggling with the flute. It was a lot harder than it looked, but Inuyasha would not give up. So he practiced every day with it causing Sesshoumaru’s sensitive ears a bit of pain. Even Thoren was to the point that Inuyasha really needed to find a new instrument to play.
Sesshoumaru just wished his mates would be happy so he suffered through the recitals until Inuyasha finally seemed to get the hang of things. In fact Sesshoumaru planned at some point to have his mates perform for the Lords feeling magnanimous enough to even put up with Lord Ken for a day.
The guards at the front gate of Sesshoumaru’s castle were greeted by two messengers. One was a fox demon and the other a wolf demon both wishing to seek audience with the Inu No Tashio.
Sesshoumaru was sitting listening to Inuyasha play his flute when one of the servants stepped forward and whispered into Sesshoumaru’s ear that there were messengers sent here to see him. Of course Sesshoumaru refused to leave until his wife was done playing so he informed the servants to have the messengers wait for him in the main hall.
As soon as Inuyasha was done with the song Sesshoumaru clapped and smiled at his wife.
“You are getting very good Inuyasha. I want to show you off if you do not mind.”
Inuyasha shrugged and plopped down onto the chair across from Sesshoumaru.
“I am sure Thoren and I can come up with something since we are learning to play some of these songs together. The one I just did was something that Master Kazuhiro, Thoren, and I made up. Perhaps after mastering this flute I could try my luck with a harpsichord and write music.”
Sesshoumaru smiled and was pleased his wife was keeping himself busy.
“Do you wish for a larger audience than just the Lords to hear you and Thoren play?”
Inuyasha sighed.
“No, maybe when we get better at this we could do that at one of the balls or something. I know your Mother seems to enjoy doing such things and you know our little Fuu enjoys singing so perhaps we can find the musical talents within our family and do it as a group. I miss my children you know. They are all grown up and making us old Sesshoumaru. I was not ready to be a Grandmother so soon.”
Inuyasha pouted as he thought about his grandchildren and the fact that someday he would forget the names of all of these new children being brought into the world.
Sesshoumaru smiled knowing that although Inuyasha was complaining about his children having pups of their own that Inuyasha was indeed pleased that he was a Grandmother.
“Well my love, I must return to my duties. It appears we have messengers from Shippo and Kouga. Are you certain I cannot maim that wolf friend of yours?”
Inuyasha frowned at Sesshoumaru.
“I told you only I get to kill the brainless wimpy wolf and he has been behaving so play nice.”
Sesshoumaru sighed as he got up. He really didn’t like the fact that Inuyasha was friends with Kouga. The wolf was really a thorn in his side, but of course he had a purpose. Hopefully he was taking care of the Northern mountain range like he was supposed to do since lately there were complaints that some new tribe was trying to push their way into Kouga’s lands. Sesshoumaru was not in the mood to help an incompetent wolf who couldn’t take care of his problems.
On that note, Sesshoumaru left to meet up with the messengers so that he could get these formalities over with and get back to enjoying the rest of the day with his beautiful mates.
