Kagome! Where are You?!

Chapter 34 Vampire World part 1

Authors’ note: About the Vampires and other monsters in this story. They are NOT based on any
1 specific story. I am mixing and matching from various Vampire and other related
stories/movies, etc. The closest story, at least, for the physical powers of the vampires would be
Fred Saberhagen’s Dracula series. (Early idea was to have a team-up with that version of
Dracula, but . . . I never could come up with a story I liked.) From the magical side of things . . .
shrug. I’m mixing and matching.

This is also an alternate earth . . . so the history is changed to meet the requirements of the story.
And remember Vampires rule the world. So they are very in-your-face, not hiding . . .

Also . . . Anne Rice does NOT want fanfiction written about her characters. I respect that and
will not use those characters/situations.

Kagome and Sesshomaru appear.

It is late afternoon, a cold autumn breeze is blowing from the north . . .

They are on a grassy plain. Some trees and there is what looks like a small wooden walled village
on a low hill off in the distance. It’s about a half-hour walk away from them.

“Earth.” Sesshomaru states. “But it doesn’t quite feel right.”

Kagome nods in agreement. “Let’s find out where we are.” She states and begins to walk toward
the village.

Sesshomaru walks beside her with her backpack on his back. “You do know that you don’t have
to find out anything. I can travel to the village and grab someone and we can question them.”

She glances at him, irritation in her gaze, as she says, “Afraid, Lord of the Western Lands?”

He growls at her.

“Besides we are on earth and we need to know where and when we are.” She waves at the
village. “That doesn’t look Japanese. It looks like the pictures I’ve seen of European feudal age
villages, and if that is the case, we might be in the right time, but in the wrong country.”

A pause . . .

“And you are not going to tell me what I can and cannot do.” She finishes in a cold voice.

He stares at her. She glares at him. ‘I can smell her anger. She’s upset and at me. Why?’

Sesshomaru thinks. ‘Last night? Why? She enjoyed herself, so why is she upset today? Still . . .
she did warn me last night that she’d be irritable today and her smell is similar to other women
I’ve known during this time in their monthly cycle. Sigh . . . if that is the case, there is nothing I
can do. Just ignore her and hope that later today she’ll be in a better mood.’

“Your safety is important to me and I will do whatever I think is necessary to ensure your safety.
And if you don’t like it . . . I do apologize, but I will do it.” Sesshomaru growls as he stares into
her eyes. He breaks eye contact and moves in front of her. The set of his back tells Kagome that
he is ignoring her.

Sesshomaru allows a small silent sigh to pass through his lips, ‘I wish that the winds were
blowing from my back, so I could smell her, that would tell me something about what she is
thinking, but the wind is blowing into my face.’

He frowns as he looks at the village they are walking toward. ‘Although . . . I do need to be up
front. I am not liking the smells from the village.’ His eyes flick to the field around the village.
‘Poorly maintained, not that many peasants out . . . and . . . none of them are curious about two
uwn pwn people walking toward them.’

‘My instincts are telling me that I’m not going to like this place.’ Sesshomaru allows a small
growl to escape his lips.

‘Hmmmm . . . there is nothing I can do about that now, so . . . I need to think about the various
romantic stories I’ve read. I need to find out what the heroes in those stories did . . . when the
woman they love is mad at them . . . ’ Sesshomaru thinks. ‘And how to avoid the pitfalls.’

Kagome grits her teeth, ‘Curse him. Last night. I don’t care if I enjoyed it or not.’ She fumes as
she stares at the backpack on Sesshomaru’s back.

She shakes her head and thinks, ‘no. curse myself. I did it. He gave me plenty of warning about
what was going to happen... and chances to say no.’

She wipes a tear from her eye, ‘I’m just feeling guilty. I did that . . . and I still I love Inu-yasha.
Why didn’t my love for him . . . stop me?’

She grinds her teeth. ‘Before last night . . . I could look Inu-yasha in the eye and tell him
truthfully that nothing had happened between us. Now . . . I said yes to him.’

She shivers, ‘and even if I wanted to say no, next time . . . saying no will be very hard. And
Sesshomaru will want to do that again and he will want to go further next time. And last night . .
. he could have. I wouldn’t have stopped him, but he didn’t. Damn him for being honorable. If
he had taken advantage of me and actually touched me . . . when he promised he wouldn’t . . .
then I could say no, but . . . he only did what he said he was going to do.’

Kagome bites her lower lip, ‘Weird . . . The similarities between me and inu-yasha’s love life
now . . . Kikyo and I shared a soul, so, in ways, we are closer than sisters, and Inu-yasha loves’
us both. Inu-yasha and Sesshomaru are brothers . . . and I . ’

She shakes her, ‘Inu-yasha loves me and Kikyo . . . and he can’t decide between us. I... I love
Inu-yasha . . . and . . . Sesshomaru. Now . . . I’ve got an idea about how Inu-yafeelfeels. I’m
snapping at Sesshomaru the same way that Inu-yasha snaps at me, especially after he visits
Kikyo. Guilt . . . on both our parts.’

Kagome’s eyes rove up and down Sesshomaru’s back. ‘And he’s not helping . If If only he
would make a mistake, something I could focus on and get really angry about, but. Nothing. He’s
not giving me the opening that Inu-yasha would give me so I could get really angry . . . I . . .
I’ve got to apologize for snapping at him. He’s done nothing to deserve it.’

“Sesshomaru?”

“Yes.” He replies in a cold voice.

“Sorry. It’s not you . . . it’s just . . . ”

“My brother.”

In a very small voice, Kagome replies, “yes.”

Sesshomaru sighs and his shoulders slump, “Kagome. I do love you, you know. I don’t want to
hurt you in any way.”

‘Gods . . . all the time I’ve been with Inu-yasha . . . I’ve never been able to say that.’ Tears begin
to form in her eyes.

In a rough voice, she asks, “How can you say that . . . so . . . easily?”

A pause . . .

“Because I do.”

Another pause.

“Because I must . i. if I’m to win you. My brother, no matter what you or I think about him, has
wasted many chances with you. I am not going to lose you by wasting this chance with you.” His
emotion filled voice softly. Floats back to her.

“I’m not a prize.” Kagome states in a rough voice.

“I know. This would be so much simpler if you were.”

Sesshomahinkhinks, ‘A prize doesn’t feel. But. You, Kagome. You feel . . . and . . . I don’t want
to hurt you . . . and sooner or later, I’ve got to ask her to choose . . . but, that will hurt her. So . .
. How can I ask her to choose between me and Inu-yasha . . . without hurting her. Until I can
solve that question . . . ’

He sighs, ‘I don’t know. But, until I find the answer to that question . . . I will do everything I
can to make her care for and love me. Even if that means I have to act like some stupid hero in
one of those idiotic romance stories . . . So. That. When the time comes. She will love me more
than my brother.’

“Please . . . Sesshomaru. Please. Give me time . . . ” she whispers.

“I will give you as much as I can, Kagome.”

A pause. “I do suggest you stop thinking about whatever is upsetting you. My senses are not
liking the village ahead and combat is possible.” He states.

“O.. OK. Sesshomaru.” Kagome takes a deep breath and she lets it out.

Kagome thinks, trying to clear her mind, ‘There are a couple of differences between my situation
and Inu-yasha’s. Inu-yasha fell in love with me when he thought that Kikyo was dead. I... I know
Inu-yasha is still alive. I might have had an excif wif we were months into this but it has only
been days . . . and yet I’ve still fallen for him . . . ’

She swallows, ‘the other difference . . . I was . . . well, not happy, but I was willing to let Inu-
yasha chose between kikyo and me at his own pace, hoping, somehow, everything would work
out in the end. But . . . Sesshomaru . . . though . . . sooner or later. He’ll force the choice. And .
. . no matter whom I chose . . . I’m going to hurt someone I love.’

Kagome shakes her head and narrows her eyes as she looks at the village that they are
approaching.

Rough, unrepaired wooden walls surround the village. They are walking on the path that leads
to an entrance. Looking thru the entrance, Kagome can see a couple of people moving about, but
. . .

‘I’ve been traveling to feudal Japan for a long time now . . . I know how farming villages are
supposed to act and feel like. And I don’t like the feel of this one. It reminds me of some of the
villages I’ve visited with inu-yasha . . . the ones with really nasty demons running them . . . ’ she
thinks.

Her eyes flick off to one side of the entrance. ‘I... I thought that was some sort of statue or carved
pole . . . but . . . ’ she swallows hard. ‘I’ve seen a cri criminals punished during my travels.
Public punishment is preferred on Inu-yasha’s side of the well. But . . . the brutality of it always
causes me problems . . . ’

Off to one side of the entrance is a row of six wooden stakes. Each stake is about 2 meters tall
with a blunt point. Each looks like a large baseball bat to Kagome. Four of the stakes are empty
and just look like that they are painted in a reddish brown paint. ‘Dried blood.’ Kagome thinks.
On two of the stakes are human beings, they are being punished by impalement . . .

One, an old man, is dead, the stake is running thru the body and is poking out thru the neck area.
On the other stake . . . an old woman is still alive . . . her body is slowly twitching as her weight
is forcing the wooden stake slowly and painfully through her body . . .

‘Lovely place . . . ’ Kagome ts ass as she looks around. ‘Every so often, I’ve come across places
like this. Remember . . . you cannot fix the world. Some things will have to be ignored.’ She
reminds herself.

They both sing the song of languages, the one that they learned from Earwen yesterday, under
their breaths as they approach.

As they approach the entrance, a man, with long black straggly hair, wearing some a reddish shirt
and leather pants, stands in their way. He is wearing a sword and has a spear in his hands.
“Strangers aren’t welcome here.” He growls at Sesshomaru.

“Werewolf,” Sesshomaru begins, “Do not threaten me. You will tell me where and when we are
at. Do so and live.” His voice is ice.

Kagome swallows, and uses her mystical senses, she can tell that there is a canine/shape shifter
aura around the man.

The man looks at Sesshomaru, finally looking at him closely, “You’re one of those Asian
demons are not you? Don’t see them outside the city, often. Lost?”

“Fool, why else would I have asked where we are?” Sesshomaru says as the ice in his voice
deepens.

The man, under his breath growls at Sesshomaru, then turns his attention to Kagome. His eyes
widen and hefts fts his spear and he throws it at Kagome.

The spear is caught by one of Sesshomaru’s hands, and the other hand is, suddenly, around the
man’s throat. He lifts the man off the ground by his throat. Sesshomaru hisses, “I am being very
generous. Answer my questions and your death will be quick and painless.”

“Grruggle . . . ” The man twitches and he begins to struggle, changing shape into a wolfen shape.

Sesshomaruks aks at Kagome. “He, without reason, attacked you. Do you wish him to live?”

“If possible. But. I don’t think you’re going to learn anything from him.” Kagome replies. ‘His
aura is black and evil. And while I do not like killing . . . my instincts are telling me he deserves
it.’

Sesshomaru nods, turns to the werewolf, who by now, has fully changed shape. It is trying to
claw and bite Sesshomaru’s arm. Sesshomaru drops the spear and using his free hand. He rips
the heart out of the werewolf. “He’ll regenerate.” He throws the body on top on one of the empty
stakes. The stake pokes through his body, dragging internal organs with it . . .

He concentrates on his wounded arm, and it heals.

Sesshomaru walks into the village. Everybody in the village runs into the houses . . .

“They are not going to talk to us.” Kagome says, disappointment in her voice. She frowns, ‘this
village is filthy. Don’t they care? I can see shit in the street. What is happening here?’

“They don’t need to, Higurashi Kagome.”

“If you could explain, please, Sesshomaru, sir?”

“Have you forgotten my hearing?”

“Yes, I did.” Kagome says in a sheepish voice. “Sorry.”

Sesshomaru shakes his head.

“Well?” Kagome asks.

“Well, what?”

“Sesshomaru, lord of the western lands, could you please tell me what you are hearing?”

“Better.” Sesshomaru says. He pauses and begins to speak, “Hmmm . . . they are very afraid.”
He looks up. “Apparently once the sun sets, the lord of the village will show up. Someone called
Sigismund. They are calling me a vampire. I am unfamiliar with that term. Does it mean anything
to you?”

Kagome nods, “yes. A monster or demon of the west. They are fictional where I come from, like
werewolves. So . . . we must be in a world where vampires and werewolves exist.”

“Powers?”

“Shape changers, human, a bat, mist, a wolf, maybe other shapes, depends on the e I’e I’ve
seen.” Kagome begins. “Strong, fast . . . again it varies from movie to movie.” She glances at
him. “You are probably stronger and faster, but, by how much?”

She shrugs. “Hypnotic gaze, so watch for that. And they drink blood. Human blood.”

“Weakness?”

“Can be killed only by sunlight and wooden weapons through the heart. Crosses hurt them.”

“Crosses?”

“A western religious symbol of a crucifixion.” Kagome states

‘I will not think about it.’ She reminds herself. ‘I will not think about it.’

“Weird . . . I would have never thought that. Must be a very violent religion?”

“It preaches peace and love for all mankind.”

Sesshomaru raises his eyebrows. “And they use as a symbol, perhaps, the one of the few forms of
punishment worst than the impalements outside this village?”

Kagome nods.

Sesshomaru shakes his head at the stupidity of humans. (Authors’ note below)

“Anything else?” Sesshomaru asks.

Kagome shrugs. “Vampires are popular in movies and each movie gives them different powers
and weakness, Sesshomaru. How much of that will work in this work, I do not know.”

Sesshomaru points to the largest building in the village. “That is probably important. And since
the humans in this village are cowards we will go there and see what we can find.” He brings to
march off to the large building.

Ka fol follows him, thinking, ‘I wish the people would come out. I’d like to hthemthem. But
between that werewolf gatekeeper, Sesshomaru’s violence and a vampire, I can understand why
they are leaving us alone.’

She frowns. “Sesshomaru, that looks like a Christian church, but. The symbols are wrong.”

“Christian?”

“That’s the name of western religion I was talking about.”

“Hmmm . . . How are the symbols wrong?”

“They’re upside down, mainly, I think. But. They just feel wrong.” She shivers.

They enter the church. It is empty of life. “Blood . . . and much of it has been spilled in this
place.” Sesshomaru states as he sniffs. “Magic, too.”

“Yes.” Kagome shivers as she stares at the murals on the walls and ceilings. They are of death
and destruction. “I. I think a lot of the symbols are for . . . Christianity‘s evil side . . . Satan.”

“Hmmm. If Christianity is a peaceful religion, yes, this place worships the opposite of it.”
Sesshomaru pronounces.

Kagome moves closer to one of tallsalls and tries to read some of the writing on it. She sighs,
“that song of languages only allows us to speak the language. I can’t read this. It looks Russian,
but.” She shrugs. “But, I’ve never studied that.”

“Nothing here then?” Sesshomaru asks.

Kagome shakes her head. “We are on a very different earth, Sesshomaru. I’m sure about what we
can do.”

They leave the building and both take deep breaths to clear their lungs of the stenchthatthat
building.

While they were in the building the sun has set and night is falling.

“Have the villagers said anything about a date?” Kagome asks.

“The year is 569 of the age of Vlad Tepes the vampire emperor.” Sesshomaru replies. “Does that
mean anything?”

Kagome shakes her head. “No.” She sighs. “I’d like to stay and help the villagers. But . . . I don’t
know. You have any ideas?”

“I have an idea.” Is spoken in a cold voice behind them.

They turn and look at the entrance to the church. A man, wearing fine clothes is standing in the
entrance. Upside down crosses decorate his shirt. He is wearing a sword. One of his hands is on
its hilt. His eyes glow red in the dim light of the early night.

“I’m a peaceful man, strangers.” The man says in a low, alluring voice. “I dislike violence and
would like to see everything be resolved without it.”

Kagome shakes her head and looks at the vampire’s hands, not his eyes. ‘You’re not going to get
me that easi She She looks at Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru is staring at the vampire’s face . . .

“So, please drop your weapons and we’ll talk about what is upsetting you.” The vampire
continues, staring hard at Sesshomaru’s face.

Sesshomaru moves . . .

He grabs the vampire by his throat and growls into his face. “That trick not not work on
Sesshomaru, Lord of the Western Lands. And the punishment for attempting to use mind control
techniques on him is death.”

The vampire fades into mist, slipping out of his grasp.

Sesshomaru growls and spins, trying to use his mystical senses to track the vampire.

The vampire reforms behind Kagome, his hands around Kagome’s neck. “Then . . . drop your
swords, Sesshomaru, or I will feed on your woman.”

“That, Vampire, was a mistake.” Kagome says as she grasps the vampire’s hands and directs her
purifying power through them.

The vampire screams in agony . . . he tries to pull his hands away, he tries to change shape, but
the connection between him and Kagome has been made . . . and Kagome is purifying him . .
A
After a couple of seconds of glowing pyrotechnics . . .

A heap of old dried bones rattles around Kagome’s feet. She coughs a couple of times, trying to
clear her throat of the smell of decaying flesh.

“Not so powerful, after all.” Sesshomaru states as he kicks the bones.

“I don’t have a bow and arrow, Sesshomaru, and my powers are less than they were on the other
world, so I’m not going to be able to do area waves of purificn lin like I did on it. He touched me
and I did purified him. But doing anything beyond that . . . I don’t know.”

Sesshomaru spins and glares into the night.

“Sesshomaru?”

Sesshomaru shifts languages back into pure Japanese, “We were being watched. It’s gone, now.
Teleportation.”

“Lovely . . . ” Kagome takes a deep breath. “Well, any ideas?”

“We are targets.” Sesshomaru states.

Kagome nods.

He continues, “Whatever we do, they will follow us.”

“I think we can assume that.”

“her her we leave this village or not, doesn’t matter then to me.” A pause. “I would prefer to
leave it. It stinks of humans, but, if you desire to stay, I will not object.”

Kagome looks around the blacked-out village and sighs. “Yes, I would like to stay. That way, at
least, I can think I’m trying to protect someone.”

Sesshomaru grunts. “These cattle . . . ” He waves.

“Yes. Just because that vampire has frightened and controlled them, doesn’t mean that they are
not human I shI should not protect them. Remember I am a Miko and I’m supposed to protect
humans from monsters.”

“Very well, we’ll stay. However, we will utsiutside the walls and prepare a spot there.”

“Why? If I may ask, Sesshomaru?”

“The stench of humans is less. The wall will protect our backs. Without these houses in the way,
my senses will work better and I will have a greater freedom of attacks.”

Kagome shrugs. “Thank you for answering, Sesshomaru.” She sighs. “I’d really like to talk to
someone from here to find out more info, but . . . your plan is fine.”

Later outside the wall of the village.

“Too bad about that werewolf.” Kagome says.

“Yes, he regenerated and left. He and friends, I’m sure, will be back.”

Kagome nods. Sighs. “If the movies I’ve seen are right, they’ll attack at night.”

“I’ll make some torches for your eyes. And we wait.”

Later . . .

“Sesshomaru?”

“Yes, let’s just talk to pass the time.” Of cOf course, Higurashi Kagome. In this situation Ild lld like to do nothing better.”

“Really?”

Sesshomaru sighs, “Of course, I would like another grooming session, Kagome. But, I can feel
eyes watching us. I can hear whispers around us. You were correct. We will be attacked and
soon. But while they preppreparing, we can talk.”

“I would have thought you’d want to attack them before they are prepared?”

“Normally, yes, but neither that werewolf nor that vampire impressed me. And you are human,
and your eyes can’t see in the dark, like mine can, so we need to wait here, in the light of these
tes ses so you can fight as well.”

“Ok. I should have realized you had a good reason. I am sorry for asking.”

“Thank you, Higurashi Kagome.”

They talk . . .

Later . . .

“Draw your sword, Kagome.” Sesshomaru states. He begins to pace around the outside edge of
the light of the torches. “The attack will begin soon.”

Kagome stands up and draws her sword.

A huge howl sounds in the night . . .

A pack of werewolves spring out of the darkness, they lunge at and attack Sesshomaru. HE forms
his acid whip and begins to attack them.

Kagome stands, her back to the wooden wall around the village, looking around for additional
foes.

The wooden wall behind her shatters and hands grab her. “Sess . . . ”

Sesshomaru stops playing with the werewolves and runs to her.

Kagome vanishes in a puff of brimstone smoke . . .

Sesshomaru rips through the wall and glares around the village, trying to locate Kagome.

Out of the church entrance, a man-shaped figure walks out. He has blood red skin and short
curved horns on his head. He is nude and his manhood is very obvious. His legs are goat-shaped.

Sesshomaru frowns, ‘I can tell from his aura that he is a demonic being. He is from one of the
countless layers of hell. I’m not familiar with this exact species, but then again, nobody knows
every demon or devil in hell.’

“Sesshomaru.” He begins. “My lord, Vlad Tapes, The Vampire Emperor has your woman.”

Sesshomaru growls.

“He orders you to give me your weapons and she will be unharmed. Should you refuse . . . ” the
devils voice trials off.

Sesshomaru eyes go red . . .

Sesshomaru moves . . .

His acid whip wraps around the devil’s neck. Sesshomaru’s other hand rips off the devil’s
manhood and throws it away.

“Listen to me.” Sesshomaru’s voice is filled with anger. “Nobody makes demands on
Sesshomaru. Return to your master with my demands.”

“Arrggh . . . ” the devil twists as the acid of the whip digs into his neck . . .

“HE will return Higurashi Kagome to me, alive, unhurt and with all her possessions.”
Sesshomaru bloody hand twists and breaks one of the devil’s arms.

“I will destroy everything in this world . . . Until that happens.” He hisses.

“There are no other conditions.” He throws the devil outside the village.

Sesshomaru concentrates his mystical senses . . . the silver trace from Kagome’s teleportation is
visible and leads to the east.

He nods. He looks around at the village. ‘She’s not going to like this, but . . . I will get her back
and if I have to leave this world a blackened ruined shell, I will.’

Five minutes later . . .

Sesshomaru strides away from the destroyed village. Nothing in the ruins of the village is alive . .
.

For him, his speed is a slow jog, a pace he can keep up for hours without problems.

‘There is no need to use my full speed. That devil and teleportation ability shows that my
opponent has more resources than I had assumed. So . . . I will not use my full abilities until
needed. Just in case I need that surprise.’ He thinks.

Sesshomaru, the Great Dog Demon, lordlord of the Western Lands . . .

is going to war . . .

The end chapter 34 . . .

Prevue chapter 35 (just because I’m evil . . . ) The Corruption of Kagome . . .

Vlad Tepes, Dracula, looks at the unconscious Kagome. “Powerful.” He states. “With every
generation the world finds a new power to oppose me. She, like all the rest, will fail.”

He turns to his servants. “Take her to the smoke room. After a few hours of breathing magically
enhanced opium designed to destroy any will, she will beg me to make her . . . my slave.”

His long fangs pulse with pleasure at the thought of corrupting Kagome . . .

This Vampire world story arc is supposed to highlight Sesshomaru . . . so. If you are expecting
some romantic vampire seduction . . . be warned, I will be twisting it . . .

Sesshomaru’s thinking about crucifixion. This was one of the problems early missionaries in
japan faced. The cross symbol was not a good one . . .

Kagome’s thought ‘I will not think about it’ connects to my story “a shard in Kyoto” I haven’t
gotten to that point in the story, so . . . she’s not going to think about. But. It is important enough t sht she would think this. Sorry for the mystery, but I don’t want to spoil that story.

Posting schedule: I will be taking a break from writing “Kagome! Where are you?!” this will be
the last post until sometime in March. (Chapter 35 will be up by march 7th. It could be up faster)

One of the stories “Girl Talk” should be read by readers of “Kagome where are you”. Now that
I’ve advanced Kagome/Sess relationship into sex . . . her attitudes about sex become important.
(Before she was just saying ‘no’, so her likes/dislikes, etc. weren’t important)

In previous stories of mine, “Spring Fertility festival,” “I-shin-po,” “Yobai: night visits” and
“Why is Miroku a pervert?” Kagome has been in an orgy, learned about feudal japan sex ed,
talked with the village girls about sex/boys . . . and had Miroku tell her ways to improve her
powers, via sex.

In the new story “Girl Talk,” which will take place before “Kagome where are you” began,
Kagome and her 3 modern friends talk about those stories . . . and Kagome begins to adjust her
thinking about sex. (Just because she makes a decision in that story, does not mean that acting
upon it, will be easy.)

The other two stories. “A Shard in Kyoto” ch 12. Kagome/Inu & Miroku/Sango talk about the
sex that Inu/Sango and Miroku/Kagome just had . . .

“Kagome’s nightmare” exploa dia different part of Kagome/Inu relationship. An aspect I’ve
never really seen used before. So. An experimental story to see what other people think.

I’m also going to make a plea/request/whatever to the readers... If you liked this story, please read my other stories....

Author’s note: Hmmm. I had a reviewer that mentioned some things that I want to respond to,
but the reviewer didn’t stand behind their review with an email address, so I’m going to have to
respond in public.

Do I hate Inu-yasha? No. I like him. But. I do not worship him, like many of his fans. He is
violent, possessive, jealous and he doesn’t think on occasion. (Sess has similar problems, BTW.)
So, I will show his bad points as well as his good points.

Did I humiliate him with that wet dream? Did Miroku or Shippo, both of whom pick on him for a
living, pick on him? No. Sango & Miroku brought it up, but only after Inu-yasha pissed them off.
Was he embarrassed by it? Sure. But they embarrass each other on a regular basis. Normally it’s
clean humor, but I went for crude bathroom male humor this time.

Is my characterization, especially since I am a male writer, of Kagome off? Sure. I am a man, so
writing from a female POV, I will be wrong.

Is she acting sluttish? In my opinion, no. However. Any story that has Kagome (or Sango for
that matter) do anything sexually more than a kiss (And even that is stretching it) is writing her
OOC. The physical aspects of love is not mentioned in the manga/anime, expect for humor.

Also... In my stories “Why is Miroku a pervert”, “Spring Fertility Festival”, “I-Shin-Po”, “A
Shard in Kyoto”, “When Friends find out” and “Yobai: Night Visits”... I have attacked Kagome’s
thoughts about sex. In each of these stories I’ve placed her in situations where she’s been
exposed (or worse) to very different views on sex than what is considered normal. So... she’s
acting hot and cold on sex, because she’s been exposed to different views and they are affecting
her. The “Girl Talk” story mentioned above, will go into more detailed about her thoughts.
(She’ll make some decisions about sex then, and while the story will happen before “Kagome
where are you” started, just because you’ve made a decision, doesn’t mean it’ll be easy to act on
it.)

Would Sess flay me? Yes. Written in character Sess would have killed Kagome in ch 2. At best,
he would bring her back to life, just long enough to activate the cube and then he’d kill her again.
He’d kill himself before allowing himself to fall in love with anybody, much less a human.

Thank you for reading.
