Prompt Summary: Bankotsu makes a trip downstairs in the middle of the night.

After they had finished eating, Bankotsu had done as he had said he would and gone downstairs to request the number one saloon girl only to find that she was completely booked for the day. Deciding to check again in the morning, he had retired to his room. Many hours later, and a few minutes before the fire would start, Bankotsu had awoken in the middle of the night and made his way downstairs to use the outhouse located just beside the side door to the saloon. Though there was a chamber pot in his room, he did not want to take the chance of waking his sleeping companion.

Silently making his way out of the room, Bankotsu headed downstairs; careful not to step on any of the stairs that he had heard squeak on the way up to their room earlier that night. Though the bar was dark and quiet, Bankotsu couldn't help but feel as though there was someone else in the room as he walked through and found himself wondering who else would be up that late.

But after a quick glance around the room and seeing no one, he decided to chalk it up to needing sleep and continued on his way outside. Never in his wildest imagination would he have ever guessed there was another man. who would make a large impact on his life, merely twenty feet from him who was crossing a line he may never return from.
