Disclaimer:
I do not own Inuyasha and I do not make money from my writings. Someone else does although I am really Sesshoumaru's secret mate. Shhhh...it is our little secret.
Chapter 32
Dear Readers,
Although many of you may or may not like Yuri I want you to know it was extremely brief in the last chapter and there were more lemons that had little to do with that. I also had that there would be F/F/M in my warnings so now that this part is over with I won’t be doing it again for a while although there may be hints of such here and there.
I prefer Yaoi, M/M/F, and M/F. I will be doing more Yaoi in the story since I like to cater to my whims since I love a good love scene between my favorite Inu boys.
There is a lot of story you will miss if you skip a chapter so know that too, but I do understand. Just remember if a part of the story doesn’t make sense you may want to skim through the chapters anyway so that you don’t get confused.
I try to do updates daily, but I am not pushing too hard right now, I am just going along with my creative flow so it is difficult for me to say exactly when an update will occur although I try my best to get back to the stories. I still have other stories that are left unfinished so I need to work on them too. I am also doing a lot of editing so please be patient with me and I will do my best to give all of you good chapters.
By the way, thank you so much for the reviews and votes. I hope to keep getting them now that my writer’s block has passed.
Yours Truly,

Miroku felt the water warm up as he continued to scrub Sesshoumaru’s perfect skin.
“Kagome, wash your husband. You have washed me enough monk. Now wash yourself and get out so we can towel off.”
Kagome proceeded to wash Inuyasha in the way Sango taught her. It made Inuyasha purr with the way his wife washed him since she was nice and rough with the rag and even massaged his back a bit which helped with the kinks.
“So why don’t you like the rose oil in my hair Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha told Kagome what happened when he was kidnapped and how they had doused him with rose oil.
“Ok than I will not allow them to put rose oil in my hair nor rose petals in the bath water. Still, you have your hair braided today. Why would you do that?”
Inuyasha shrugged.
“It keeps it off my shoulders and from blowing in my face and it doesn’t have ribbons in it. I have been normally putting it up in a top knot leaving some down when I wear the great armor that Sesshoumaru gifted me. It belonged to our Father.”
Kagome wanted to touch his markings, but that could wait until after the feast.
Servants started to come into the room with several different kimonos to dress the royals.
Sesshoumaru figured play time was over as he unbound Sango, but did not leave her without giving her a lingering kiss.
“We will do this again sometime soon slayer and I did not forget your promise to give me a Lord’s bath. We will do that another time.”
Sesshoumaru allowed the maids to wash his hair since it was filthy from the long trip home while he watched Inuyasha with his wife. Perhaps this arrangement could work in all of their favor at least until he went into his heat cycle where Inuyasha would impregnate him in order for them to bare a child of pure Inu blood.
Kagome unbound Inuyasha’s long silvery mane and proceeded to wash it until it was time to get out of the bath while Sango was lovingly washed by Miroku who hoped his wife was not ruined for the night time activities he had planned.
Sesshoumaru was sitting with a robe around him getting his long hair combed deciding to leave it all down as usual.
As soon as Sango got out of the bath her hair was braided with ribbons, pearls, and jeweled combs. Then she was dressed into a beautiful yellow kimono with white lilies printed onto the fabric.
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru’s armor was taken to be pressed to perfection while the two men waited watching the female demons dress the two human women.
Kagome’s hair was put up in a traditional Lady’s style with beads and ribbons placed here and there. It was very elegant and proper for the era she was living in. Her kimono was a pale pink color with white trimming that had small jewels and pearls decorated into the silk fabric.
Inuyasha had his hair placed up into the top knot making him look like the young warrior that he is as it shined brightly with the light scent of sandalwood oil.
Miroku’s kimono was once again upon his person since he was careful not to let it get wet or dirty. It was a dark purple and blue ensemble with long sleeves making him look more like a Lord than a monk.
Soon the servants came in with Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru’s armor and kimonos. The armor itself was shined to perfection. Each piece was placed upon the Lords with the upmost care making certain each piece of armor was barely touched in order to keep it shining like new.
Kagome, Sango, and Miroku were in shock at how Lordly Inuyasha looked and Kagome had to admit that her dear husband looked much like his Father especially now that all of his markings were showing. Inuyasha looked like a demon man and not a hanyou at all.
Inuyasha looked up at Sesshoumaru for a moment before giving his mate a kiss. Kagome had to admit that the two brothers looked beautiful together and was happy that she was a part of their relationship although a small part of her was a bit jealous.
Sesshoumaru licked his lips after the kiss reveling in the flavor of his lover. Tonight he wanted to make love again to his mate and hoped that Kagome would be too tired to do anything since this would indeed be a long night. Still, Sesshoumaru had resigned himself to allowing Kagome to grace his bed so he couldn’t be too selfish.
Part of Sesshoumaru did not like the idea of the human female being turned hanyou. However, he also knew that it would be best for the pup she was carrying and those pups she would be having with Inuyasha to be healthy and strong. It was best that Sesshoumaru supported his mate especially during this time since any hostilities would harm the pup and therefore there needed to be a semblance of peace in order to insure Inuyasha’s precious pup would not suffer. Sesshoumaru knew that Inuyasha would no longer wish to be his mate if he allowed any harm to come to his wife or the pups she carried.
Inuyasha felt as though he had weights on his shoulders since he was certain that both his wife and his mate would not remain peaceful like this forever. It was just a matter of time before he would be torn apart like he was when Kikyo was alive. Having two different people vie for his attention could only bring heartache later on.
Smelling his wife as Inuyasha had done during their love making had made him realize he was going to be a Father. He was thrilled at the thought of his own pup or pups being born and promised himself that he would be a good Father to them. However, the role of a Lord made little time for family and there was the fact that although Kagome was the Lady of the Manor she was not Sesshoumaru’s mate so that meant any offspring from her would be denied the right to be heir over the kingdom.
Sesshoumaru would eventually demand an heir and thus Inuyasha was going to find out about this heat nonsense and find out if he was a carrier. If he was indeed a carrier than as Sesshoumaru’s mate he would be able to produce an heir since he highly doubted Sesshoumaru would take a beta role for any amount of time to be the carrier of their offspring although the fact was Sesshoumaru could indeed bare young since he was a full blooded Inu.
Besides, Inuyasha did not want the responsibility of being in charge of the entire kingdom. He had no clue on how to act proper around these people and fact was he didn’t want to change himself. He liked the idea of being over the troops since they didn’t mind his rough language and they would teach him many things. Then he could also teach them a few things since Inuyasha was not without skills.
Sesshoumaru stated that Inuyasha would be busy learning how to be a good leader from the tutors that had taught Sesshoumaru everything he needed to know about ruling a kingdom. Inuyasha just hoped he wouldn’t become cold like his mate was to his people. Sesshoumaru stated that his cold nature was what kept people in line and a little fear was not a bad thing to use when you needed to deal with those who opposed your ideas. Sometimes even killing one of your own people could save a nation from mutiny if such a thing were to occur.
Inuyasha walked slowly down the hallway with Sesshoumaru at his side and his wife and friends traveling behind him. When they got to the end of the hallway Sesshoumaru’s Mother was there to greet them.
“Sesshoumaru everyone is waiting on you so why do you doddle so?”
Sesshoumaru calmly looked down at his Mother and wanted to roll his eyes at her. She was so set in her ways that this traditional decorum was going to grate on his last nerves. His men needed rest, to bathe, and relax. Not be forced into a feast that could have waited a day or more.
“The humans must keep up with me Mother. You know this so why do you ask such things?”
Sesshoumaru took his Mother’s arm in his own as they walked into the great hall where everyone was seated. The tables were filled with all different kinds of foods that had been ordered by the Ladies of the Manor. Sesshoumaru had to admit that he was indeed a bit hungry since he could smell the rich moose steaks dipped in honey. Mother remembered that the moose steaks were his favorite.
Inuyasha smelled all the wonderful food and then smelled something familiar.
“Kagome did you have those ramen noodles from your ninja food hidden somewhere? I swear I smell them here, but I don’t see it.”
Kagome smiled.
“I had them prepare a dish just for you. It isn’t the ramen noodles I had, but it should be fairly close.”
Inuyasha smiled and as soon as they were seated he gave Kagome a kiss.
Sesshoumaru lifted his glass and began to drink which was the signal to everyone that it was time for the feast to begin.
Lord Sesshoumaru had Inuyasha sitting at his right while his Mother sat at his left. Kagome was next to Inuyasha while Lord Koga sat on the other side of Kagome since he was the only Lord that had followed them back home. Rin, Sango, and Miroku sat on the other side of Sesshoumaru’s Mother. The head of the guards sat at various tables while the servants asked them what they would like to feast upon.
The first thing that was offered to Lord Inuyasha was this noodle soup that Kagome had ordered. Sesshoumaru looked at his brother in amusement as Inuyasha’s eyes lit up with the first bite of the noodles.
“This is just like the ninja food that you would bring us Kagome. It is delicious.”
Kagome smiled at Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru smelling the dish ordered a small bowl of the soup for himself.
Koga looked at Kagome.
“Is that soup like those crunchy things you gave me Kagome?”
Kagome shook her head no.
“No this is called Ramen. What I gave you was potato chips, but we can see about getting you potato chips made here next time you visit.”
Koga ordered a bowl of the soup too and was amazed at its flavor. It was a bit salty, but very good.
All the males except for Miroku had a bit of the raw meat dishes. Kagome looked at Inuyasha disapprovingly, but it was indeed his stomach so if he wanted to eat his meat raw than she really couldn’t stop him.
Inuyasha had to get some of the fowl blood cakes. He hoped they were as good as the dragon blood cake, but nothing including Ramen could take away that wonderful flavor. Dragon meat and dragon blood was too good.
“Sesshoumaru, I have a surprise for you.”
Sesshoumaru lifted an eyebrow at his Mother almost afraid to ask what it was. Mother’s last surprise was sending his ward to hell with him and Kohaku. Sometimes Mother and Father’s sense of humor were something to be desired and not usually something that one would even wish upon an enemy. Such as painting him in portraits all over the castle of his birth, to his adolescence, to the young man he was, and luckily she hadn’t asked him for a new one now that he was officially an adult diayouki. It was supposedly normal for the Lord of the castle to have such paintings, but to Sesshoumaru it was just plain embarrassing.
Clapping her hands together a young servant boy from the dragon clan came forward with a chained black baby dragon.
“He hatched just last night. I assumed you would wish to see your new pet.”
Sesshoumaru wondered when that thing was going to hatch since he received the egg as a gift from the dragon Lord hundreds of years before the bastard had started this war with him. It had been a childhood gift and Sesshoumaru had often visited his dragon egg as it sat in a kiln full of boiling hot molten metal that churned around it.
“It is an acid breather Inuyasha. Come, hold my hand.”
Inuyasha wasn’t sure he wanted to touch the thing as it snapped at its chains trying to get free.
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha stepped down to the main floor and Sesshoumaru bent down to the dragon’s level looking into its eyes intensely.
Soon the dragon chirped and Sesshoumaru reached out with his hand only to have the dragon nuzzle his fingers as Sesshoumaru gently pet the scaled creature.
Pulling Inuyasha over to him the dragon growled a bit until Sesshoumaru growled back causing it to chirp again.
Soon Inuyasha was petting it also.
“It’s cute. Is it a girl or a boy?”
Inuyasha asked the boy holding the dragon’s chain.
“She is a girl my Lord.”
Sesshoumaru was pleased. Perhaps this one would replenish the dragons they had to destroy in the war.
“What are you going to name her Sesshoumaru?”
Sesshoumaru smiled.
“Her name has always been Jin. I had been hoping she was a girl. Male dragons are much more difficult to tame.”
Sesshoumaru nodded for the boy to take her away. Jin tried to pull away from her master to go to Sesshoumaru as she flew in the air a bit, but the boy brought out a whistle and soon the dragon was once again calm walking back to her den.
Going back to the table Kagome had to inquire about them washing their hands.
“You both should go wash your hands. Don’t you know you could get salmonella poisoning from touching reptiles?”
Sesshoumaru sighed and looked at Kagome like she was an annoying bug.
“Neither I or Inuyasha will get a disease from petting a dragon. Dragons are not your normal reptiles and are much cleaner. Half of our armor that we are wearing including our boots is made from dragon skin and scale.’
“The only reason Inuyasha can touch the dragon is that we are both able to withstand the heat of her skin. The den Jin will be in is filled with molten rock in order to keep her body temperature normal. I highly doubt she will cause any to become ill unless you are human and foolish enough to burn yourself by touching her.”
Sesshoumaru stated as he went back to eating. Inuyasha looked at his wife and felt for her as she sat there embarrassed for mentioning anything.
“Kagome, it is alright. You are a healer of humans and really know very little about demons. You will be educated thoroughly while here so that when you turn hanyou you can continue your skills and with me you will be learning more about your demon side.”
Sesshoumaru was almost annoyed to the point he didn’t want to eat, but instead decided to shrug it off. Kagome was merely a human and had much to learn still. At least the slayer and monk were not stupid enough to question their Lords behaviors. Wash his hands, indeed…..what a foolish thing to say.
Koga kind of felt for Kagome, but she did kind of stuck her nose into the Lord’s business so it wasn’t like he could stand up for her otherwise he would have said something.
Kagome felt bad about opening her mouth, but it was so hard to just sit there and do everything that a Lady was supposed to do. Inuyasha burped out loud four times and didn’t even excuse himself like he used to. It was just so crude and the least they could do is show some manners at the table. At least Inuyasha covered his mouth where as Koga just let it go.
Inuyasha pat Kagome’s hand and smiled.
“Trust me Kagome; things will get easier to understand once you are here for a while.”
Then Inuyasha went back to ordering more food trying some of the rabbit stew, the blood soaked rare beef with the spices in it, and another of the moose steaks.
Kagome simply ate her piece of lemon peppered fish and some of the melons.
Koga asked for another plate of the moose steak although he was only going to tuck in enough dinner so that he had room for dessert.
Soon as the first set of plates disappeared, goblets of fresh raw osterage eggs were brought forward for all the demons. Then there were a separate section of smaller eggs given to the humans in small, yet beautiful glasses.
“This is a rare treat Sesshoumaru so I hope you enjoy this. Our dignitaries from the East brought us these. We have a hatchery now of live osterages, but it will take time for these large elegant birds to create a feast like this.”
Luna stated as her son looked at the large egg sniffing it and wondering where it came from.
“I see.”
Sesshoumaru tapped the top of the egg with his spoon and it cracked open. Then he began to use his spoon to sip out the yoke and egg white.
Inuyasha then tried to do the same with his egg, but it broke in half causing much of the inside to leak out onto into the goblet and overflow onto his plate.
Koga shook his head at Inuyasha as he took the egg out and broke it into the cup to drink it down.
Inuyasha decided it was much easier to copy the wolf than to fix the mess. So what was left of Inuyasha’s egg went right into the goblet so he could spoon it out as Sesshoumaru was doing.
Kagome and the other humans thought perhaps their eggs were raw too, but were pleased to find that they were just boiled chicken eggs.
“Kagome, you need to eat more than you are. You have another to concern yourself about.”
Lady Luna scolded as Kagome’s plate was still barely touched.
“Have some of the rabbit stew at least and finish it this time.”
Inuyasha muttered under his breath.
Kagome felt like crying, but proceeded to get a bowl of the stew and a small piece of the roasted glazed ham. It was so hard to eat when everyone was picking at you.
Sango started feeling sorry for Kagome, but the girl ate like a fucking bird. She needed to eat like a pregnant woman not like a scared rabbit.
Koga finished his meal waiting for the dessert to arrive.
Soon there were dancers that filled the room as dessert was brought out. Each demon received one whole sugar covered ginger goose while the humans had different kinds of traditional red bean filled desserts.
As soon as the feast was done everyone was ready for bed.
Kagome was exhausted and frustrated. She was doing the best she could with eating all her stomach could take, but was soon feeling ill from all of the rich food.
The guards all had departed to go to the barracks while Ginta and Hakkaku waited for Koga to finish arguing with Inuyasha again.
“What do you mean you ain’t sleeping in one of the guest rooms you stupid wolf? You can’t just go outside and sleep when everyone here worked so damn hard to give you a nice place to rest.”
Koga snorted.
“I can’t fucking sleep in a bed like that. I like my furs and I would rather camp out with the men than be in here. As much as I like the food and stuff here I can’t just leave my men to sleep out there while I am in here.”
Sesshoumaru then got involved.
“You delegate your troops like you do not trust them to themselves wolf. Why do you not ask Ginta or Hakkaku to watch over the men? You are going to have problems if you do not just let your men care for themselves and let them delegate responsibilities down the ranks.’
“I insist that you remain in a guest room since Inuyasha is correct. Your men must see you as a Lord, not as one of them. You are their leader so you must act like a leader and stop micromanaging your troops.”
Koga sighed.
“Look, this is not how things work in a pack of wolves. We basically do everything together. I guess for this night I will put up with being in here since can’t really argue that Lord Sesshoumaru, but know that I ain’t happy about it.”
Inuyasha noticed Ginta and Hakkaku breath easier. Both were happy as hell that Koga wouldn’t be ordering them around all night and perhaps they could get a little rest before the run back home since Koga even without the jewel shards was fast as hell.
