Conversations and Kagura

I do not own any part of Inuyasha

Conversations and Kagura

Everyone left Inuyasha to sulk in the hut. They had a lot to do to get ready for the festival tomorrow. Sango and Kirara help hang some decorations and Miroku helped the men of the village set up tables and chairs. Kagome went hunting with Shippou and brought back a couple of deer so the village ladies could start cooking it over the pits that were dug. After one chore was done someone always had something else for them to do. It took a lot of work to get the village ready for the festival. It wasn't often that the village had festivals. So everyone took the opportunity to enjoy the ones they did have.

Kagome stopped in the middle of the village to watch the preparations during a short break. One of the village women brought her Inuyasha's cloths. "Arigatou, How much do I owe you?"

The lady smiled at her. "You owe us nothing Lady Kagome we were happy to do it for you. As a matter of fact the whole village thanks you for what you did. At least he will smell somewhat descent for the festival ." The lady smiled at her and turned and left.

Kagome went to the hut and gave Inuyasha his cloths and stepped out of the hut so he could get dressed. It didn't take long. She watched as he came out of the hut and glared at her. "Take a walk with me Inuyasha." She turned and headed away from the village. Kagome looked behind her to make sure that he was following her.

Inuyasha followed Kagome away from the village. He had quite a few things to discuss with her. After what she did to him this morning he was still upset with her.
He would wait till she got to where ever she was taking him then he would deal with her.

Kagome could feel the anger radiating off Inuyasha. She wasn't worried she could handle him. She reached the clearing and turned to face him. "Inuyasha I want to know why you attacked me with the wind scar yesterday. You could have killed me and Sesshoumaru. What were you thinking?"

Inuyasha hung his head. "Kagome I was jealous. I wasn't thinking."

Kagome shook her head and when she fixed her stare on Inuyasha she watched him cringe away from her. "You tried to kill me because you were jealous. Why in the world would you be jealous for? I waited four years, four years Inuyasha. And who did you choose, none other than the walking urn. I lived with your decision. Why because I didn't want to loose you as a friend. Now that I find someone who is interested in me you are suddenly so jealous that you want to kill us both. Inuyasha you make no sense to me. At times I wonder if you are not totally nuts." She turned away from Inuyasha and walked a little distance away. She didn't know what she would do if he was in striking distance.

Inuyasha watched Kagome as she ranted at him. So far so good. She hasn't sat him and she hasn't tried to kill him. Over all it was turning out pretty good. Then he saw Kagome turn around. This didn't look good. Her eyes had taken on a red tint. No this didn't look good at all. "Ah Kagome are you ok?"

Kagome was so angry at him. How dare he think the world revolved around what he wanted. It wasn't enough for him that he wasted four years of her life now he tried to kill her since his brother was interested in her. At times he could be so stupid. "Inuyasha "Osuwari". She took some satisfaction in watching the hanyou hit the ground. She walked up to him and crouched down so he could hear what she said next. "I cherish you as a friend and if you ever interfere in my life again I will make you regret ever knowing me." She stood up and walked away from the hanyou. She needed to take a walk to cool down before she returned to the village.

Sesshoumaru had been watching the scene below him. He would never tire of seeing his brother brought down by the miko. He watched Kagome head into the forest. Where is she off too now. He turned once more to see his brother still on the ground then turned to follow the miko. He trailed her as she kept walking. She didn't seem to have any destination in mind. So he watched over her as she ambled along. How far was the girl going to walk. She walked and he followed.
They had gone a good distance when she found the lake. He watched her sit down on the bank and take off her shoes and place her feet in the water. He continued to watch her for a little while before he decided to join her. He jumped down from the tree and came up behind her.

Kagome knew Sesshoumaru had been following her. She was just surprised that it took him that long to come to her. "What took you so long?" She leaned back on her arms and smiled up at him. "Why are you here anyway?"

So she had knew he was there. He was sure that she was unaware of her surroundings. "I was just keeping an eye on you. I wanted to be sure that Inuyasha did not harm you." He stood behind Kagome and looked down at her.

"Is that the only reason you came?" Kagome picked up a small stone and skipped it across the water.

"There was another reason. But I don't know if I will tell you it or not." Sesshoumaru walked away from her and found a rock to sit on.

"Why wouldn't you tell me?" Kagome had to lay back on the bank to look at him now.

"Maybe I want it to be my secret for now." He watched Kagome to see her reaction to his statement.

"Fine keep your little secret." Kagome picked up another stone and it followed the last.

"What where you thinking about before I came. You had a very strange look on your face?" Sesshoumaru stood and walked over to Kagome.

"Believe it or not I was thinking about you. I was wondering if you ever show anyone else the emotions that you show when your around me. I have known you for four years. Granted most of that time we were adversaries, But during that time I have never seen you show any sort of emotion. You never show anyone your smiles or let them hear your laughter or even show them your mischievous side. I have seen all those side although most of the ones I have seen was when Hani had us in camp during my dream but at least I have got to see them." She laid back on the shore and looked up at the demon lord. "But what I was wondering was how you can block those things out? And if you can block those simple emotions it leaves me to wonder if you can block out other emotions. And the biggest question I came up with is why did you choose to show me those emotions when you don't show them to others?"

"You must have done a lot of thinking in such a short time." Sesshoumaru frowned at her.

"Not really these thoughts have stayed with me for a couple of days and this is the first chance that I got to ask you about it." Kagome laid her tail on her chest and ran her fingers through the fur.

"So you have been thinking about me. Kagome, I was taught by my father that any outer sign of emotion was a weakness that the Lord of the Western Lands just didn't have. To show any emotions at any time was a sign of weakness to my father. Since the age of seven I was not allowed to show any emotion. If I did I was seriously reprimanded. After years of being reprimanded you learn. Now its like a part of me. But for some reason when I am around you I feel free. This Sesshoumaru does not want you to have to worry about what I feel. You have had too many years of not knowing and I will not put you through that." Sesshoumaru
sat down beside Kagome and took her hand in his.

Kagome felt the tears sliding down her face. Poor Sesshoumaru he must have had a horrible life. "Did your mother do nothing to help you"

"My mother was sick for many years before she died and I did not want to add to her sorrow. So for her I was strong, for her I survived." He lifted her hand and held in front of his face. He could smell the tears she was shedding. "You are crying for me again?"

"I can't help it. I can't imagine a child having to go through that. It is just so sad." Kagome took her other hand and wiped the tears from her face.

"Kagome don't waste your tears on what occurred in the past. Knowing you I am sure that you will find much to cry about in the future." He smiled down at her and waited for her reaction. It didn't take long.

Kagome couldn't believe he just said that. She tried to jerk her hand away from his and was surprised when he wouldn't turn it loose. She sat up and looked over at him. "Just what are you implying?"

"I just meant that you are a person who doesn't hesitate to show her emotions which seems to end up with you crying over one thing or another." He smiled at her and lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it. "The village is full of activity today. What is going on?" I hope this takes her mind off what I said. I do not want her to stay angry at me.

She was still mad at him but not as much. Who could stay mad at a guy who kissed your hand. "The village is holding a festival tomorrow. Something about a blue moon. We have been busy all day. I have never been to a blue moon festival. I can hardly wait."

"Blue moons are indeed cause for celebrations. They only occur about every ten years. Maybe I will bring Rin to the village to enjoy the festivities. Speaking of Rin I have to return home. She probably has Jaken tied up somewhere." He leaned down and kissed Kagome then rose and left.

Kagome watched Sesshoumaru leave. She couldn't believe the conversation they just had. It was actually nice. Never had she thought that she would be having a conversation like that with Sesshoumaru. She would stay at the lake a little longer then she would return to the village.

Kagura had watched the two youkai's by the lake. How was she suppose to get the female if she was always surrounded by people. Then she saw the demon Lord leave. The female was left alone. She moved the feather down to the lake. She took out the pouch that Naraku had given her and using her wind powers she blew the powder over the girl.

Kagome laid by the lake thinking about all the stuff Sesshoumaru had told her.
She really wasn't paying attention to her surroundings until she felt a demonic aura almost on top of her. The wind picked up and Kagome stood up and faced the demon. "Kagura!"

"Have we met demoness? I don't recall meeting you before." She would just talk until the powder took effect. Hopefully she wouldn't have to fight. That would draw too much attention to her. She didn't want the lord to return.

"How could you not remember me? You have tried to kill me and my friends countless times." Kagome stood ready for the attack she knew would shortly follow. Kagura was not going to beat her this time. This time it was one of Naraku's henchmen who would depart this world. And she would be the one to do it.

Kagura looked more closely at the demoness. Yes she did look familiar as she continued to look at her the more familiar she became. "Inuyasha's wench!"

"I was never his wench. I don't know where Naraku gets his information but he might want to try a different resource." If Kagura was not going to attack her then Kagome would attack Kagura. She sent a purifying orb at the wind witch. She didn't think that it would hit but she had to take the chance. She didn't know what plan the witch had up her kimono but she wasn't going to wait for it. She turned and ran into the forest.
