Destiny For A Reason

AN: Sorry for waiting so long to update, kind of got preoccupied with my other stories.


Chapter Twenty-Eight

Michiko was standing outside, letting the sun warm her face. For some unknown reason she was in a good mood. For the last two days she'd been thinking of Kimi a lot. Of course her mother had given up all hope on finding her twin alive. Something told her to hang on, not to let go.

Sesshoumaru suddenly appeared beside her, "Someone's coming. Stand back."

"Hey!" All she could see was white, maybe a good swift in the butt. He turned around as if reading her mind. She beamed at him, "What?"

"Hn.." He took a step forward. He could smell wolves coming closer. "Go get your mother."

"Um okay." She left him there and went to fetch Kagome.

Kimi didn't want to complain but she really didn't need to be carried. She'd argued her point earlier but it had done no good. He informed her that if she wanted to see her family, she'd be carried. So here she was being carried, the position putting pressure on her poor bladder. He wasn't born yet and the little brat was already stressing her.

"We are close." Kouga could smell the scent of dog. He really hated that smell. The guards didn't stop him; which meant Sesshoumaru knew he was coming.

Sesshoumaru watched the wolf approach, he'd been expecting the wolf. When he saw what he had in his arms, his eyebrow shot up. Unbelievable, the girl was alive. "Kimi?"

"Okay, you can put me down now." Her feet hit the ground. "Thank you." She smiled at the tall man and elbowed Kouga who was grabbing her from behind. Really like she was going to bolt. Waddle more like it. "Sesshoumaru, is my mother and sister around?"

"Yes, they should be out shortly." He eyed her stomach and she blushed.

"You don't have to stare." Did she look that weird?

"KIMI!" Michiko ran outside, seeing her standing there. She ran till she felt her arms go around her sister. "You're alive. I knew it." Tears streamed down her face.

"My little girl." Kagome came out, Kimi met her halfway.

"Mom," She felt tears of her own fall, as her mother embraced her.

"There's so much I want to ask but I don't know where to start. I'm just so happy that you're back." She pulled back and looked her daughter over to make sure she was really there. "Oh my, you've gotten big."

"I am not that big, blame him. Besides I see someone else has lost that little bikini figure she used to be so proud of."

"I haven't lost it, it's just hidden." Mich smiled. "I'm not as big as you."

"Give it a few weeks." Kimi felt Kouga come up behind her placing an arm around her middle.

"I thought I smelt shit," Inuyasha came out. "What the hell are you doing here? Where the hell did you find her?"

"Hello, Inuyasha." Kimi greeted him. She grabbed her mother's hands, "I know this isn't the time but I really gotta go to the bathroom."

"This way and you can fill us in. You are going to stay awhile aren't you?" Kagome asked.

"Yes, if it's okay, I want to stay until after the baby is born."

"Great."

"We aren't staying that long."

"He isn't staying that long."

Two dark heads turned to glare at the wolf and hanyou. The both shut up and took a step back.

Inuyasha glared at Kouga, "I see someone's whipped."

"Like you got room to talk, I'm suprised you didn't find a rock to hide behind."

"I wasn't scared."


One Year Later

Kagome sat in the nursery smiling down at her newborn daughter. She'd never dreamed of having another child but as she looked down at her little girl she beamed. The babe had a head full of black hair, amber eyes, and looked just like her father. Inuyasha had been beside himself when he'd seen her for the first time.

Michiko walked into the room with her son planted on her hip, he also looked a lot like his uncle. Much to Sesshoumaru's displeasure. The boy had a lock of blonde hair in his fist, chewing on it. "Mom, I can't find my blue top have you seen it?"

"Nope. Are you about ready to head out?" They were heading back through the well once more. Mich decided she didn't care if she was in the fuedal era, she was using disposable diapers. Besides it had been over a month since they'd been back to see their other family. Kagome decided to wait until her daughter was a week old before taking her on a trip back to the future. Her mother had scolded her about getting pregnant again. Then she had accepted the fact and was happy about having another granchild, of course she was also a great-grandmother.

"Yes, though Kimi isn't here yet. I swear it's no wonder she's knocked up again, the way that man paws her."

"He doesn't paw me all the time," Kimi spoke from the doorway. She came in the door way with Kouga in tow. Her second pregnancy was starting to show already. Kouga was carrying their son, giving Mich a weird look.

"Hey, ready to go back?"

"Yes, but I wanna hold my favorite sister first." She reached down and grabbed the baby. "Hopefully, you will take after me. That Michiko is a bad influence, yes she is."

"Me? Maybe I should tell your man there a story or two."

"You wouldn't dare." She glared at her sister.

Mich stuck her tongue out, "Try me."

Kagome laughed and went to find Inuyasha. She was ready to head to the well and to show off her new addition. A smile graced her face as she left her three girls to find her mate.
