Whirlwind

Don’t own Inuyasha, get over it…I did.

Her eyes flew open when she heard her name. She turned left and was curious as to why everyone was standing in front of her, but his scent was enough to explain everything. Kouga. He had finally caught up to her.

She should have known better and should never have taken Kagome’s offer to stay an extra day. Her body was burning up and the pressure on her lower abdomen was back with a vengeance, the tell tale signs that she was in the presence of Kouga. Slowly she got up, wincing slightly at the sharp pain erupting over her body and got to her feet.

Alice nudged her way to the front, but frozen when her eyes landed upon Kouga. His indigo eyes burned with loathing and evil discontent as they bored into hers; a twinge of scarlet swirling in their depths.

The wealth of his ebony hair spilt down his shoulders in straight waves, cupping his darkly handsome face. His fists were clenched at his sides, his fangs were bared slightly, and his body shook with suppressed fury. He was on the verge of shifting into his wolf form. The dark blackish-indigo aura encasing him was another dead give away.

Needless to say, it was not a good sign.

Her eyes shifted to Inuyasha momentarily, his poster was tense and ready. He knew what was happening, as did everyone else in the small group. But they would be no match for a full-fledged demon in the midst of bloodlust. Not even Inuyasha with the aid of his father’s fang could fend off Kouga, unless he to went into bloodlust.

The air was thick with danger, fear, and anticipation. Alica let out a shallow breath as she turned her stare back to Kouga. Somehow she had to get him away from the group and then had to figure out away to escape him. He would most likely try to kill her.

“I will came with you, Kouga,” she finally replied, shattering the thick silence. “But we must leave now.”

Kouga shook his head, taking a step back. He took a few moments to clear his thoughts it seemed and when he looked back into her eyes, they were streaked with more scarlet. “Did you think you could get away from me?”

He charged her.

Inuyasha was the only one to reacted fast enough and tried to place himself in front of her. He was knocked to the side roughly, crushing into a nearby tree. Alica crossed her arms in front of her, trying to defend herself against the attacked. Kouga collided into her hard, knocking the air from her lungs.

She recovered quickly however, and used his momentum to flip him on his back. Alica cried out when his right knee grinded into her stomach, lunching her off him. Swiftly she turned the freefall into a flip as she landed on her hands and knees. Her breathing was hard, her heart hurt from pounding so hard, and the blood in her veins screamed for her to flee while she had the chance.

Alica’s eyes darted to Kouga, whom was also on his hands and knees. His head was down, his shoulders raising and falling quickly as he tried to catch his breath. She could see the trembling of his body had gotten worse as his tail thrashed behind him.

His aura had turned completely black and forbidding, the shift to his wolf form was dangerously close. She had to do something. If Kouga was to shift now, everyone was going to die, including herself. Her attention was diverted when she seen Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango began their charge. Alica quickly sprung to her feet.

“No,” she screamed to them and was relieved when they heeded her warning. “Don’t come any closer, I will handle this.”

They looked at her skeptically, but remained where they were, not knowing what else to do. Alica let out a long breath as she approached Kouga, hoping that she knew what she was doing.
