The Unexpected Gets Unexpected

Kagome awoke to find no one in the hut. She started to sit up and let her eyes adjust to the lack of light. When she looked again around the room, she still saw no one. She moved off the futon and walked to the door. Once outside, Kagome set out to find her friends. In the distance she could see Sango and Miroku sitting by a fire. She went back into the hut and grabbed the blanket she had been sleeping under, wrapped it around her and walk towards her friend.

"Kagome your better!" Kagome find herself once again being attacked by a ball of fur.

"Hai Shippo I feel much better." She looked towards her other friends and asked in a shaky voice "What happened to me?"

Miroku was the first to answer. "Kagome-sama, you don't remember? You passed out. Inuyasha caught you before you hit the ground and brought you to Kaede's."

"Inuyasha? Where is he?" Kagome felt terrible. 'I can't believe I was so mean to him. I should apologize.'

"Well you know Inuyasha. He's probably off somewhere." Sango spoke but never looked up from polishing her boomerang.

Kagome thought for a moment. 'Hmm this will give me the perfect opportunity to go back home. I could use some more time away from Sengoku Jidai. And some time away from Inuyasha.' "Guys I'm going to go home for a couple days. Just two days but don't tell Inuyasha. Ill see you in two days." Kagome waved and walked off towards the well.

As Sango and Miroku watched her walk away they both couldn't shake the feeling that she 't 't going to make it home. Not a bad feeling like something was going to happen to her. It was more like a feeling that a certain hanyou might be already at the well.

"You think she's going to make it?" Miroku whispered to Sango as he inched closer to the exterminator.

"Not a chance. He's probably waiting there for her." Sango still didn't look up from her polishing. However she did look up when she felt a hand on her rear. SMACK Miroku was now sporting a red handprint on his face while Sango went back to polishing. Shippo on the other hand had long gone to sleep after Kagome had come.

Kagome kept looking behind her to make sure no one was following her. She quickened her step towards the well. 'It's so close. I feel like I should run.' She was now staring over the side of the well. "Now or never. I better hurry up." She was thinking out loud. She was looking down at the well and didn't notice someone else was in the clearing with her. She put her legs on the side of the well, closed her eyes and jumped. After a couple of seconds, she felt like she was floating for to long and opened her eyes. She looked up the sky expecting to see the roof of the well house but instead saw sky. 'Nani? I'm still in Sengoku Jidai?' It wasn't until then that she noticed something was holding her. She turned to see a very pissed off hanyou staring back at her.

"Where the fuck do you think you are going? You just passed out. You should be resting." The look in his eyes made Kagome wish she was resting. Inuyasha lookessedssed off. Kagome thought about sitting him but realized he would break his arm on the sit of the well and she would feel terrible about that.

"Inuyasha I have to go home. I want to rest at home. Let go of me." Kagome tried to wiggle free of Inuyasha's grip but it was no use.

"You're not going anywhere. We have to talk." With that Inuyasha hugged Kagome to his chest and leaped into the trees.

When he felt they were far away from their friends and the well, Inuyasha sat on a high branch and loosened his grip on Kagome. He turned her to look at him. After what felt like hours of just looking at each other, Inuyasha decided to break the silence.

"Well are you going to tell me or not?" He tried to sound angry but knew he didn't. He knew he sounded more concerned then angry.

"Tell you what?" 'I'm totally clueless here. What is he talking about?' "Inuyasha are you feeling ok?" Kagome placed her hand on his head to check if he had a fever. He turned his head to move her hand off his head.

"Kagome don't fuck with me. You know what I'm talking about. I found you out in the woods with Kouga and you fucking pass out after he says he's sorry. What the fuck is going on?" Kagome didn't know what to do. She decided one little white lie might able her to go home.

"If I tell you will you let me go home?" Kagome thought she could bargain to go home after all she needed rest ahe nhe nd tod to get away from Inuyasha and she knew the only way that would happen was if he was satisfied with an answer. "I was talking to Kouga about me getting angry at you and he said he was sorry that I got mad and then he.." Kagome was never able to finish her comment because she felt sick and then started throwing up. "Inuyasha I think I need to go to home. I do fee feel well." Kagome was saved by the throw up so to speak. Inuyasha knew he couldn't keep her from going home. He really didn't want to see her get sick anyway. He picked her up again and ran back to the well. He dropped her down over the side and went to got sit and think.

'Feh. I don't care what she does. I don't believe her story, but why the hell is she lying?'

"Momma, Jii-chan, Sota, I'm home." No one answered. Kagome figured they were sleeping so she went inside as quiet as she could. As soon as Kagome was inside she took a bath. After her bath she walked to her room and laid down to go to bed.

'What is going on? Why does Inuyasha suddenly care? He wants to be with Kikyo. I know he does. But why do I still care? I'm supposed to be happy. I have a guy who loves me even though he has a twisted way of showing it. I'm going to have a baby. I'm going to have a baby. I'm going to have Kouga's baby. I have to talk to Kouga. I probably hurt his feelings when I yelled, but was I wrong? And Inuyasha he'll hate me when he finds out. What am I going to do?'

Kagome let sleep take her and save her from her thoughts for the night. Little did she know outside her window was a certain hanyou watching Kagome sleep.

Inuyasha could help but stare at her sleeping. She looked so peaceful. He quickly realized where he was and decided she could wake up and see him so he jumped down his his perch and ran back to the well.

The next day when Kagome woke, she didn't feel any better then when she had gone to sleep. 'I thought a good night sleep would make me feel better but it didn't. Maybe I need to go back Sengoku Jidai and talk to Sango. Kagome got packed quickly and went to the well house. She jumped into the well. When she got the other side she started to make her way to where she left her friends the day before.

They were all sleeping when she arrived. Kagome figured this would be a perfect opportunity to talk to Sango. She quietly walked over to her sleeping friend.

"Sango-chan, are you awake?"

"Kagome you're back." She smiled at her friend but then she saw Kagome's face. She had a look of sorrow and worry.

"Kagome what's wrong? Wait come we'll go for a walk." Sango grabbed Kagome's hand and the two girls walked into the forest. When they were far enouway way they sat down and began to talk.

"Now tell me what's wrong." Sango held Kagome's hand to give her comfort.

"He came to see me." Kagome kept her head down while she spoke. "Who came?"

"Kouga"

"Kagome when did he come? What happened?" Sango could see the tear already in Kagome's eyes.

Kagome couldn't hold back the tears any more. "He told me that he purposely got me pregnant. He said he did it because he loves me. Inuyasha came at the end of the conversation, but he knows something is up. He thinks Kouga did something to me because I passed out after talking to him."

Sango squeezed Kagome's hand reassuringly. "Kagome do you think you really love Kouga? Maybe you were just so distressed over Inuyasha that you thought you loved him. Maybe you really wanted to love him." Sango could see the tears still running down Kagome's face.

"I don't know Sango-chan. I feel like I love Kouga but its not the same as how I felt for Inuyasha. Maybe I should just tell Inuyasha about the baby."

"It's your life Kagome. You do what you want. If you still have feelings for Inuyasha, I think both him and Kouga deserve to know." Kagome sat and thought about what Sango just said. 'Maybe I should I should tell Inuyasha about the baby.'

"Sango there is a part of me that wants to tell Inuyasha everything and just have him hold me. There also a part that tells me if he doesn't hate me that he will kill Kouga." Sango hadn't thought about Inuyasha's anger. It was very possible for Inuyasha to get angry and want to kill Kouga. He already wanted to kill him and he didn't know any of the story.

"Kagome your right but you should still tell him."

"Ok Arigatu Sango-chan." The two girls shared a quick hug before heading back to the others.

Not to far away in the bushes stood a very frightened kitsune who over heard the entire conversation between the girls. 'Kagome's having Kouga's pups!! This is why I should listen to other people's conversations.' Shippo ran out the bush he was hiding in only to run into a big red wall.

"Oi Shippo what's the rush?" Inuyasha picked Shippo up by the tail and held him in front of his face.

"Inuyasha put me down I have to go get firewood for breakfast." Shippo tried to hide the shock in his face. He knew Inuyasha would see though him but he would just have to get away from him then. He wiggled his way free from Inuyasha's grip and ran back towards camp. Inuyasha just stood there wondering what made Shippo run away. He started to walk in the direction he came from only to be greeted by a barfing Kagome. 'What's wrong with this girl she's always throwing up all of a sudden.'

"What the hell is wrong with you wench you always sick? Why didn't you stay home?" Inuyasha walked up next to her and held her hair back while she continued to lose whatever she had eaten.

"I just wanted to come back don't be mean to me I'm not in the mood"

When Kagome was finished she cleaned her mouth and walked back to her friends with Inuyasha. Aftreakreakfast they set off on their journey for more Shikon Shards. Inuyasha in front of the group, Miroku and Sango behind with Kagome on her bike and Shippo in the basket. When Shippo was sure Inuyasha was far enough in front to not hear their conversation he decided to ask Kagome about this pup of hers.

"Kagome?" Shippo used his I'm-so-cute-you-can't-resist-me voice.

"Yes Shippo?" Kagome was putty to his cuteness.

"Are you and Kouga having a baby?" Kagome almost pa out out again, but instead her head whipped up to see if Inuyasha noticed the kitsune's question. Inuyasha gave no indication that he was paying attention to anything but walk so Kagome figured it was safe to talk.

"How do you know that?"

"I kind of heard you and Sango talking. I didn't mean to listen I'm sorry" He put on his best cute face and knew Kagome couldn't resist.

"Don't worry Shippo I know you didn't mean to do it. Yes I'm pregnant and yes the father is Kouga but Shh don't tell anyone." She spoke in a hushed voice to make sure Inuyasha defiantly didn't hear.

Shippo had a huge smile on his face. "You know when Inuyasha finds out he'll kill Kouga." Kagome did fall this time, but she only tripped over her feet from hearing the young Youkai state her deepest fear.

Inuyasha wanted to fall himself. This had to be the first time he hated his Youkai blood for giving him such good hearing. 'Kagome and that wimpy wolf? She's having his pup!' if it was possible he would have found Kouga then and killed him but he knew he could let Kagome know he knew, at least not until he spoke to her alone about it.

The sun was beginning to set and he knew they had to set camp soon. Perfect now I can talk to her.

"We'll camp here tonight. Kagome come me. me." He reached his hand in front of her for her to take it. She didn't know what he could possible want to talk about but she took it and followed him.

When they were finally a good ways away from everyone he stopped. He turned around to face her but didn't meet her eyes. "I know. I know about Kouga." Kagome felt her heart slow down and stop. Then everything went black and she slipped into unconsciousness.

A/N: OK this is my longest chapter ever. Yay!!!! I will add the next chapter when I get more reviews. I have no idea where I'm going with this story and need a plot please give ideas in review. R&R
