(what ? Family….. You have got to be kidding me) (Kagome bowed and quietly awaited Sesshomaru’s orders)

You will be seated at my right hand side Kagome. ( Sesshomaru stated in his usual cold tone) ( whispers could be heard throughout the room……. That seat is reserved for his future mate…… could she be……where does she come from…..)

As you all are probably wondering, Lady Kagome was sent here to become the future Lady of the Western Lands. ( gasps could be heard from everyone)

( ok did he just say what I think he said or am I really just in hell, Lady of the Western Lands, that means SESSHOMARU’S MATE!!!!!!!)

( Yes my mate, came an amused voice in her head)

(what?she thought)

(Shock registered on her face , he can read and communicate telepathically )

Lady Kagome, are you alright,” said a lady to the left of her.

Oh yes…….(she giggled nervously) I was just surprised that Lord Sesshomaru would honor me with such an acclamation as to be his mate….. With so many beautiful demonesses in this room who by far excel and surpass me with their beauty…..( I’m going to die aren’t I she thought ) (she spoke this timidly) I know I’m pretty but nothing to compare or be privileged enough to be considered as his mate ( she spoke hurriedly shyly) though what an honor to be.

( A roar of laughter erupted from the room as well as claps from the ladies)

Why Sesshomaru I had no idea you had fallen for such a sweetheart, you know You have my permission to mate with such a darling ( she said smiling with a glint in her eyes that said she was pleased with his choice), I like her, Oh Kagome let me properly introduce myself I am Sesshomaru’s aunt Lady Geneva, I hope we can become good friends once you to have formally mated. ( her smile reassured Kagome that all was well at least for now)

(After awhile the feast commenced without the tension that had supported the room in the beginning of the party now everyone was talking amongst each other merrily .) (Sesshomaru often cast glances at Kagome and his aunt throughout the evening as they idly chatted amongst each other until the nights events came to their conclusion)

Well I see that you have done well, I did not expect you to catch the attention of my aunt, she usu det detests the women I keep company with. ( he stared at her from the corner of the room)

Well unlike them she must have seen quality, I really enjoyed her company. By the way I was not informed of becoming your mate as one of the conditions of my staying here. ( she asked curiosity in her eyes)

( Curious I see, what beautiful eyes thought they do give her away) I do not have to answer to you, I am the master and you belong to me , it’s only a convenience , you are strong and loyal, you will be a perfect mother for my pups, you would do anything and everything to protect them. ( his expression changed to a loving one as he looked at Kagome’s form from the side but just as quickly as it had appeared it was gone he would not show emotion) You will learn to love me and you will not be allowed to have any lovers , this Kouga I hear says you are his woman is that true ( his eyes glowed red for a moment and his voice turned even more cold) he shall have to be disposed of.

( what , no he can’t Kouga’s my friend only that) No you can’t he’s only a friend nothing more, he go that idea in his head but he is nothing…….

I can do whatever I please, you are mine, I will allow no one to interfere with what is mine. ( his cold tone becoming icy)

Please…. What else do you want ( she almost cried out) just please no more death……..I’ll stay here in the castle once we are……..

No he is………(He had cut her off)

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME ANYTHING…………..( she screamed tears streaming done her face)

I will not bargain but I will give you a choice , 1 you will not be able to contact any male that is interested in you , you will be mated to me by tomorrow and you will submit to my every will and learn to love me by contract of a blood bond. 2 the latter is that I kill the wimpy wolf and his pack as well as you kit. ( his stoic face never changing as he said it all.)

Kill me……( she said coldly) I do not wish for such torture…..( sadness engulfed her)
( she chooses death , after I accepted her as my mate, his anger rose) CHOOSE or I will follow the latter and then you will know the meaning of torture ( he said as he swiftly pressed his claws on her neck)

Why ( she coughed looking into his eyes) ( his face emotionless his eyes defying him in showing his lack of future impertinence) Fine. ( she said defeated) I will agree with the first choice but on one condition that you bring my pup here so that I may take care of him and to promise to try to love me. ( she held back her tears and the anger that welled up in her system)

I promise nothing ( he cut his wrist and grabbed hers doing the same) ( then looked into her eyes) your pup shall be returned to you before the mating ceremony takes place. ( he put their wrist together and let the blood flow then separated them and licked his wrist cleaning the wound and closing it with his saliva ) our pact is sealed ( he sated after she had done the same) ( with that he exited her chambers)

Why me…….Inu-Yasha look at what your wish has caused me….( Kagome fell into a tearful sleep )
( In the shadows lurked Sesshomaru keeping watch of his soon to be sleeping mate.)
